These two episodes that dropped tonight, and then also we got a super girl trailer that came out today. So we're gonna talk about that as well. Um Chase, before we get into it, man. Tomorrow's April Fool's Day. You know, hopefully you don't get any type of messages, you know, saying that you got a baby on the way or anything like that.

I binge watched all four today. Um man, Chase. I'm gonna be honest with you, bro. Like, I th I I I think I think I'm over this show.

I think I'm over it. Um, and like that's not for me to sit here and say like I think it's bad. Like, I don't know, like I my interest level just isn't where it used to be with this show. And I don't I don't really know if it's a specific thing. Um I will say that I enjoyed Mark and Eve more when they weren't together. Um being I don't know, like them being together, the storyline is just I don't know, it just feels weird. Uh do you get that same vibe? Do you get that same vibe or do you do you enjoy them being a a thing?

I mean, I kind of like the toxicness from the aspect of her just being a regular person and keeping supers, um holding supers accountable, you know. You're still a regular person, even if you gotta go stop a bank robbery and shit. But at the same time, yeah, nah, she was annoying as hell. So like that got played out really quick. But um, yeah, Mark and Eve felt like it was supposed to happen for a hot minute, and it did eventually happen. So I yeah, I'm cool with it.

Yeah, um, between the four episodes though, I will say I enjoyed episodes one and three. Um two and four, I don't like like I don't mind when shows kind of like veer off and go off and like kind of have like side mission episodes, but you know, like episode, you know, episode two, we get the stuff with um Omni Man. Um and then and then and then episode four, we get we get all the stuff with like um being in hell or whatever. Um beyond like I'm I I really I really I really didn't care for neither of those episodes. Um I will say that I do miss season one with Omni Man. Um like like Marcus cool, but to be honest with you, like I don't find like him to be like that interesting of a character. Um Omni Man, on the other hand, like those first few seasons, I was like I was I I was like really invested on what was going on with Omni Man, but obviously with him not being on Earth here lately, it it hasn't quite been the same. Um right. But yeah, I don't know. Like what what what what are your thoughts on Omni Man? You think he's when do you think he's gonna make his way back to Earth?

I mean, um he's building up towards it. I feel like he'll probably get there by the end of this season. Um as far as episodes focused on him, I enjoyed episode two. I thought um it was really cool we got more of Vilchmite lore and more of uh Omni Man's backstory, seeing his upbringing and why he is the way he is now. So um, yeah, I enjoyed episode two. Episode four definitely was out of left field with um the whole hell situation, but with um what's the demon's name, Damien?

With him being like a regular character going back to season one, or at least uh a side character, you know, he's not every episode, but uh yeah, I enjoyed going back and focusing on him a bit too. It was um a lot of the characters in there were new, so yeah, it was a little bit hard to uh keep the interest, so to speak. But I still liked it for the world building aspect of the series.

Yeah, yeah, for sure. Um then obviously we got the stuff with Eve, her being pregnant and whatnot. Um I don't know where that's gonna go. I'm just gonna say that like I'm not really that interested to see like not necessarily this season, but like I'm gonna assume she's gonna have the baby next season. Um and I'm gonna be honest, I'm not really gonna be that interested in it, because then to me that's gonna bring up like a whole pretty much the whole situation with uh Mark's brother, what's his brother's name, Oliver? Um yeah, to me it's gonna end up like being that again, or he's like training his kid out of a fight and this and that and that. So I don't know, like what do you think about Eve being pregnant though?

Uh I feel like it happened quicker than it should have. You know, them being together. Like that's still pretty fresh. So things do happen. But yeah, I I would have liked if this would have been something that happened in like season six or seven or something, after they got a little bit more skin in the game together.

Um I do think it is interesting though, because uh yeah, this kind of nerfs her. This is very much um like Sue Storm in Fantastic Four. Like we have one of the most versatile power sets, and we're just not gonna be able to use that anymore. And yeah, that's gonna be uh interesting because they've got their whole business going right now, and they also still help with the guardians, but let's keep it a buck if Eve's not there, like who who is the second strongest super that we have right now?

Um trying to think. Uh any plot points? Oh, uh what do you think about Oliver like slowly morphing into being more human? Like I was watching the first couple episodes and it hit me like in episode two or three, like he is less pink than he used to be. Like, the older he gets, the more like mark he ends up looking.

Yep. Yep. So we'll see what happens. Um, all right, Chase, let's move on to Daredevil Born Again. Um, episode two. Um, pretty much uh we find out we find out Bullseye is just killing the task force. When we see in episode one, he knocked out all his task force guys from Matt. Um, we also find out that he's stalking Vanessa Fisk. Um he had a nice shot on her through the little mansion thing, and he didn't take it. Um, so I don't know if he's just waiting it out or whatever. Um yeah, Fisk. Fisk, he he gives Matt, he gives Matt Murdoch an endorsement. He's like, hey, this guy saved my life. He's currently missing. We need to find him. Um I think that was a brilliant thing of Fisk to do. I'll talk about that later. Um and uh yeah, you know, we we we we we get brought back into the world of the White Tiger, you know, his niece Angela, you know, she's out with her aunt, you know, her aunt something something happens, her aunt gets her her aunt gets taken by the task force. And to me, that kind of start that's gonna start off the white tiger origin story for Angela. Um but Chase, what did you think of episode two?

Yeah, episode two is dope, man. We're um seeing that Kingpin is trying to crack down more so than he already has been. Like the the parallels with this show in current real life, even though there is no Daredevil IRL uh combating the orange in the White House, yeah, just the fact that there is a rich, powerful fat guy who has way too much power and way too much ego going unchecked. That shit's hilarious, man. That shit, I don't know that like they were planning it'll be like this, like from the jump or what, but I've been enjoying it so far, and it's uh yeah, it's been really good seeing Kingpin coming undone, but trying to keep his composure.

Well, I mean I mean well, I mean, based off the episode, it's it kind of seemed like Matt was open to it, and Karen was like, no, remember he's the guy that killed Foggy, this and that. Um, I did find it interesting that Vanessa has all these dreams about Dex, and Heather has all these dreams about uh Muse. Um the only the the the only difference is that the uh Vanessa dreams are like real life, like he's really like yeah, what what's going on with her and him?

We also saw Swordsman in court. Um, he got he was I forgot what he was in court for, but he was he he didn't it didn't go well for him.

Yeah, I would like to see her uh be more involved, and I like that Karen gave her a chance to in this episode. Um I was assuming Punisher was gonna be in this episode too. Because last we saw him, wasn't he locked up somewhere?

So it'd be nice to see what he's up to. But um, yeah, episode three was dope, man. A lot of good action sequences. Um yeah, this nigga Daredevil needs to stick a stay away from boats, man. Episode one, we had one sink, and now episode three. Like, yeah, just stay out, stay away from that harbor, you know.

So that'll be the next time we see him before uh Spider-Man.

Right. And when Karen was talking about killing Fisk and Mats just like you know is it is this what Foggy would have wanted this that I'm like bruh you can end all this right now. It's it's so it's so fucking funny bro that shit reminds me exactly of Batman and the Joker because you know because obviously you know the Batman could easily kill the Joker but he just can't do it. Even though we know he's gonna break out every time like like at the end of this season Fisk is probably gonna end up getting locked up somehow and he's gonna get out because he always does yeah no accurate I would put money on this ending um the the white tiger thing man like the way it gets set up in episode two I thought was like really good you know like with her aunt getting taken away for pretty much no reason um you know I can yeah and then obviously her uncle getting killed by the task force so it's like yeah so I like the motivation is there but I don't know bro like this is nothing like I the the actress that plays her to me is just it's not gonna be believable seeing her in the suit like beating niggas up. You know it's just not gonna because she's because she's so tiny like so fucking tiny she can be on her remote stereo shit or something you know I mean I I guess man it's it's just is it is it it's it's it's it's just gonna feel out of place whenever it happens. Um but obviously like we knew it was gonna happen um because you know her uncle dies she's she's still around for this season and there's really no reason for her to still be in this show if she's not gonna be the white tiger um right so like it's like it's gonna happen it makes sense it's just gonna look weird bro because she's she's she's like she's so tiny um hey black widow's five too man so yeah but she doesn't feel tiny though when she's like fighting I mean sometimes she does but not all not all the time um the Heather thing I don't get the heat I don't get what they're doing with Heather like why does she have Muse's mask? Like I don't I don't get that at all I think she's like in a crash out era or at least that's the vibe I'm getting from her because uh when she was talking to uh Vanessa yeah it seemed like she was ready to get all these vigilante motherfuckers up out of here like so maybe that um very traumatic situation which it was left a negative impact on her and now she's just like full blown like fuck the bullshit you know yeah I'm not familiar I'm not familiar with Daredevil comics too much but from what I've from what I heard people talk about like Heather something happens with Heather where she ends up turning into like a vigilante um oh okay I mean I don't know if that I don't know if that's what's happening now. Maybe it is I don't I have no idea um it's just weird like like her having Muse's mask makes no sense like the fact she has Muse's mask means that she would have had to have taken it after she killed him um which even in that moment doesn't make sense yeah you know um so yeah I I don't know I just I don't know I don't really care for her as a character but if she's getting ready to go on some crazy arc where she just where she turns into some maniac like I mean I don't know it's it's strange but I mean I guess it's better than her doing this thing now where she's like trying to re trying to heal these vigilantes yeah I'm not really sure what the game plan is for Heather going forward and like honestly once uh Matt and Karen became more of a connection I didn't think we were gonna be seeing Heather anymore or uh yeah Heather anymore.

I'm I'm willing to see where it goes yeah all right now this is the last thing the Swordsman thing to me is interesting because like I'm be honest like I watched Hawkeye and I forgot that nigga was in Hawkeye. Um like I did not remember he was in Hawkeye until this very moment let me ask you this though like so when he's popped up on this show where did you did you did you even know who he was I recognized that he had been involved before but I couldn't have told you I just assumed he was like in season one no he well he he was at the end of season one um like at the like at the mansion ball thing uh huh he was the guy talking to Fisk when Fisk was like threatening him about being a vigilante yes uh huh yes I remember he originally was in Hawkeye and like I don't know like I think it would have worked better if they would have used this on like a different vigilante like if they would have done this with like Luke Cage or something to me it would have made sense because like people have like a connection to Luke Cage and they care about Luke Cage. Like Swordsman like like he was in like he was in like a Disney Plus show that like honestly most people don't really ever talk about anymore. Yeah like not even trying to be rude it's been a minute since I've watched Hawkeye what what role was he playing was he like Kate's mentor or something when Clint was away no uh he was uh he was uh Kate's mom's boyfriend um ah okay so it's like it's like I don't get it like like I don't like like even in the comics like he's not even that big of a character so I don't even know why they used him for this type of thing but um yeah I mean I don't know um but either way I love the episode though episode three episode four is next week um chase what we got here man super girl trailer I I'm on record I wasn't crazy about the first trailer I thought it looked too much like Guardians of the galaxy this trailer to me was way better um there are to me there are still parts of it that look like guardians but I thought it was cool um lobo Mamola looks great is Lobo yeah that feels like perfect casting to me um we get more like a story type thing with um you know like with cara and whatnot we Superman's in this bitch um trying to get her trying to get her to come back to earth um like what did you think about this trailer I also fucked with it um liking the fact that her and Clark are two very different people and they make sure that we know that it's not the because Superman wasn't a happy go lucky film but he's just such a positive guy you know in most of his uh his iterations so for her to be like this kind of depressed like alcoholic college kid trying to figure herself out and shit yeah I like that that's a good juxtaposition for those two I didn't want the first two movies in the James Gunn DCU to be like carbon copies of each other you get what I'm saying and hell it's even fitting that she's basically working with a villain you know Lobo's traditionally not viewed as a hero so I like that uh she's got her own energy and vibe separate from Superman and Clark or you know yep yep um I I I did find it interesting how she referred to him as uh Clark um which to me that means that like she spent a decent amount of time on Earth. Um obviously that's his human name or whatever. Um yeah but no this is a good trailer I'm excited for the movie now um I mean I was kind of always excited for it that first trailer just bummed me out because it felt so much like a James Gunn movie um and this one it was a little it was a little more mixed up you know which uh which I really enjoyed um so yeah I'm excited for uh I'm excited for Supergirl I'm hopefully it's a good movie um Chase have you seen any of the chillers from Master of the Universe yet uh I've seen one what what do you think you excited for a little He-Man I'm not gonna lie I wasn't a huge He-Man guy growing up that was a little before our time that was a little before our time I remember I would see the cartoon it was on like boomerang and stuff or like early early as fuck Cartoon Network you know like five in the morning you might catch it so like I've seen He-Man before I'm familiar with She-Ra and uh like just the universe in general but no this isn't a uh a media that I am a diehard of I'll probably tune in though that shit looks terrible bruh that shit looks so bad um I do want to watch I I like he-Man though I do want to watch it um the fact that they have Jared Leto playing skeletor is uh that was that was certainly a choice um he I mean he gives off like gremlin energy so like I think it could be this has the potential to be a very good role man that's tough bro Jared Leto man that's that's tough I don't know I have no idea I guess we'll uh I guess we'll see what happens with that um chase before we get out of here you've been watching anything new recently how's the anime world looking uh anime has been good man we are in the final season of Fire Force the prequel to Soul Eater uh the final episode of that drops this Friday really looking forward to that shit um what else have I been watching on the anime side of things JJK season four has been gas as well just got through with the Utah's fight and that shit was a masterpiece I'm wondering what the budget on that episode alone was because you could tell like they brought out like movie type animation that shit was so fucking crisp so clean so uh uh yeah anime's been good oh hell's paradise is also wrapping up uh it was only two seasons of that one but season two has been high octane nonstop so looking forward to see how that one shakes out too all right man I went to go see Project Hail Mary um oh how was it it's a great movie it's a real okay it's it's a really good movie um this might be a hot take but to me this is my favorite sci-fi movie of the uh 2020s um I'm not big into sci-fi though so maybe that isn't maybe that's not saying much but like I prefer this over like both the Dune movies um yeah this is the movie's a really good time um Ryan Gossing he's great um yeah it was it was really got a lot of misses so yeah it was a beautiful it was like visually this movie was so beautiful um this movie's also funny like this movie's filled with like a bunch of jokes like this kind of reminded me like a James Gunn movie um because like like if every every other every other scene there's like a shit ton of like jokes getting thrown around um which I don't know some people when I um initially saw the trailer I was definitely expecting this to be like a interstellar type of movie where it's just like kind of sad and somber throughout but um there are parts where it's sad. But when they inch when they uh dropped the second trailer with uh Rocky I think his name was I'm like oh okay this is gonna be yep like it's still gonna be sad having sad moments but this is also gonna be lighthearted too when it needs to be you know it was it was good some of the jokes didn't land for me but I mean that's kind of happens with any movie um I will say I will say that my one issue with this movie is that this movie look this movie literally ends like 10 different times like what the hell there's so many different times where the movie where you think the movie's gonna end and then just doesn't and like I listened to a recap podcast of somebody before I uh watched the movie and I I saw someone say they're like yeah this movie ends like six different times I'm like I'm like yeah I I'll I'll I'll I'll see for myself and they were right this movie ends so many times um that's interesting and it's it's bad like it ruined I won't say it ruined the movie for me but the it after watching it kind of left like a shower taste in my mouth like man this this is yeah no they don't if y'all know how to stick the landing you keep giving us moments where you could no it's you're just like oh one more thing it's like all right bro it's a great movie though it's a great movie though um it's made a shit ton of money so far which you know we love love to see it um so yeah project hail mary that's that was a great it was a it was a good movie um i recommend i recommend everybody go out there and uh watching it um so yeah um but yeah that's all we got for today on on the podcast you know we got easter coming up this weekend chase um have a good easter and i'll see you next week for more daredevil yep oh also go aline final four baby yeah mission's gonna win um but all right y'all we out peace
