Hello world, this is I'm the podcast. Today is Sunday, April 12th, 2026. Uh, this is from Intelligent Podcast for Solver Films Intellivision. My name is Caleb. Uh no chase today. Um I just got done watching Euphoria Season 3, Episode 1. This is the uh instant reaction podcast. So if you haven't seen that episode yet, go on your HBL Max app, check it out, and then come back and listen to me. Um yeah, I love Euphoria. Glad to be back. Um just little program reminders, you know what me and Chase got coming up, you know, on Tuesday night. Should have Daredevil Born Again, episode uh five. Episode five, something like that. Um then also the boys. Me and Chase are still trying to work out the schedule stuff, so I don't I don't know if Chase will be joining me or not. But either way, definitely coming back with some more Daredevil. We're gonna talk about the boys. Um, and then also next week, uh, I'm gonna go see Michael in theaters, the uh Michael Jackson Biopic. Gonna come out with an instant reaction to that movie as well. Um trying to think what else is coming out. Movie-wise, I don't know. TV, TV though, there's a lot between Euphoria, Daredevil, the Boys, Invincible. Um, even though I've checked out of Invincible. You know, Tracy still locked in on Invincible, so that's something still gonna be getting discussed. I can't think of what else is coming out right now. But either way, um, yeah, Euphoria season three. Let's get into it. Um, first things first, rest in peace, Eric Dane. Rest in peace, Angus Cloud. These are two characters from seasons one and season two of uh Euphoria. Um Angus, you know, he he passed away a couple years ago, and then Eric Dane, he passed away earlier this year. Pretty recently, actually. So rest in peace to those guys. Um before I get into this episode though, I don't think I ever talked about Euphoria on this show, but I'm just I'm just I'm locked in on it, you know. Like I'm a big fan. Um being completely honest with you. I should watch it because, you know, of uh her uh because her titties, just being honest with you. This is what I was, you know, somebody somebody recommended it to me because of that. So I was like, all right, I'll check it out. Um I love the show. Isn't it? She's amazing. Um yeah, I don't I don't know. I just love the show. Um it's a tough watch, you know, with all high school kids out of you know, childhood trauma stuff going on between like the drugs, the sex. You know, we see people get raped and stuff like that. So it's not an easy watch. But I enjoy it. You know, and Zenday, she's amazing in his rude, and like it's a great cast. It's kind of crazy the stars that this show's made. Um some of my favorite characters. My two favorite characters are Lexi and Fezico. Well, obviously, Fezico's not gonna be around since you know, I guess Cloud passed away and whatnot, but I still love Lexi. Um, I like Maddie. I don't really know where her character's gonna go between this season. Um, you know, and there's obviously a lot of characters that aren't returning. You know, like uh Kat, she's not returning. Um the Austin Abrams character, I don't remember his name. He's not returning. Was his name Isaac, he's not returning. Um Gia, Ruby's sister, she's not returning. Um and then obviously Angus Cloud isn't returning. Um Eric Dane, he will be in this. His stuff was filmed before he passed away, so he will be in the season, but um but yeah, that's kinda that's kind of where I'm at with that. Um let's get into it. Um serious five-year time jump. Um and you know, or moving away from high school, and you know, these they're adults. Um but this episode begins with uh sorry. This episode begins with Rue driving across the US Mexico border. Um she ends up ditching her car. Um this it opens up in uh Agua Dulce, Texas. Which I don't know, it's it's just it's just kind of random. Um, you know, we see her on a farm um with some family of Christians, I guess. Um yeah. She gets back, she gets back to California. But yeah, it's a few years after high school. She she was working in a smoke shop. Um, Lori. She wants her money still from Rue. Um it started out as her owing, I think, a few thousand, but after, you know, interest being picked up after all the time, she owes close to$43 million. Now Lori settles for$100K. Um Rue, you know, she started working for Lori selling drugs. Um, and we also found out that Lori, she moved after uh Fezco's house got raided. Maybe I'm wrong, but that might have been the only time Fezco was mentioned in this episode. Although I saw a variety link where I guess Sam Levinson mentioned that Fezco's not dead. He's like serving a 30-year prison sentence or something like that. Um so that's that. We did pick up some information about smaller characters. Find out that uh Gia, she's in college in Arizona. Um find out that Lexi and Rue, they're still friends. Um Rue stays at Lexi's house from time to time, and Rue lies to Lexi about what she's doing with her life, you know. Um, Lexi, she's working in Hollywood as an actor. Uh, her boss is uh Sharon Stone. I thought that was interesting. Um yeah, then we go over to Lexi's sister, Cassie. Um, she's trying to become TikTok famous by being a content creator, um, dressing up as a dog and you know, wearing some revealing clothing. Um it honestly reminded me of uh Puppy Girl Jenna, which, you know, I don't she she was I don't know if she's still around. I know she was like an OnlyFans model who like dressed up as a dog and whatnot. So I don't know if that's still a thing that's going on online, but that's that's what uh Cassie reminded me of in this episode. And uh don't ask me how I know about Puppy Girl Jenna. Just uh yeah. Uh Nate, he's he's uh he's working. Um he's he took over his dad's business, he's struggling with that. Um they have a wedding scheduled, and Nate, he's obviously not a fan of Cassie doing the whole content creator thing. You know, he comes home one day and he pretty much tells Cassie, like, hey, you need to be cleaning and doing this and that. And she's just like, you know, I want to make my own money doing this. Um and yeah, Cassie, she wants a super expensive wedding, I think. So like 50k for some flowers from shit like that. Nate's like, we're not doing that. And Cassie goes on and says, Well, we have a problem then, because I don't want to have a ghetto wedding. Um, you know, that was that white privilege coming in there. Um, but I did think that was a pretty interesting scene though. Because, you know, Nate's like an intimidating character in this show, and she was kind of, you know, she was sticking up for herself being like, you know, I don't really give a fuck what you say. I'm doing it. You know, so that was an interesting. I'm really curious to see how that goes as time goes on. I don't think it's gonna go well. Um, I don't know. It just seems like whoever Nate's with, it's always a toxic situation. So we'll see how that goes. And then we'll give you an argument about, you know, the whole OnlyFans thing. Like, is it porn? Is it not porn? Um, I'm on the side of thinking it's it is porn. Uh and that's mainly because it's someone that's you know dabbled with the OnlyFans stuff before. It's something that I wouldn't be interested in if it wasn't porn. So, I mean, that's just that's just my opinion. Obviously, you know, shout out to any, you know, OnlyFans creators out there. You know, I don't mean no disrespect. Um, everybody's, you know, doing their thing, and everybody has their own perception of uh stuff like that. So yeah, that was I don't know. I thought that was kind of interesting. Um, Maddie, she works in management, representing influencers and a few actors. Um, we briefly hear that um Jules is a sugar baby. That's all we hear about Jules. We never we never see her or anything. Um I don't know. I don't really like that storyline for her, to be completely honest with you. Like Jules is a really good character in season one, and she kind of got sidelined in season two. And it's only one episode, but it kind of seems like she's getting sidelined in season three. Um, we'll see what happens though. Uh Cohen Domingo, he's back as Ollie. Um, him and uh Rue had a pretty good conversation um at a diner. Um I thought it was Rue was talking about you know wanting to be a Christian and all this other stuff, or the thought of being a Christian and picking up a Bible, and Rue was just kind of like, you know what? I like girls, so maybe being a Christian won't necessarily work out for me. Um yeah, I thought I'm gonna be honest with this is honestly my favorite scene because the Coleman Domingo character sitting there talking to Rue about being gay was super interesting, you know, because obviously Coleman Domingo, he's gay in real life. Um, obviously his character in the show isn't gay, but I just thought it was interesting hearing him talk about, you know, the stereotypes and judgments of, you know, men being gay and whatnot, and him talking about how he's not into butt sex and this and that. I just found it really interesting because I kind of feel like he was not necessarily talking to himself, but like talking about how he may be perceived from other people, um, with him being a super like famous person that is openly gay. Um, so I thought that was super cool and uh super interesting to be completely honest with you. Um but yeah, this first episode, um, I liked it. You know, it's been a while, um like four years since the show was out, and then a five-year timeline jump. Like, we really didn't need time to get acclimated with these characters again and like what's going on in their lives. And like, I'm be honest, that that worked for me. Like, we get a lot of Rue, which is you know, it's cool. I mean, it's Rue's show. You know, this show doesn't work without her. Um, we get a little bit of Lexi, like not much Maddie. Um, we get a lot of Cassie and Nate, like like man, they were like super involved, which you know, I mean I have no problem. I'm not a problem with it. They're an interesting couple. I think some fireworks are gonna go off with them eventually. Uh you know, and we don't get any of Jules. Trying to think of who else. Uh we don't see Rue's mom at all. You know, we obviously saw Lori a few times. Um Fay, which I don't like her character at all. Like she just doesn't work for me. Um But yeah, I don't I'm trying to think as far as the main castle, I think that's really it. Um you know. It was a cool episode though. Like this Alamo character, I don't really know who he is. He's like some sort of pimp or something, this you know, black guy, the cowboy hat. I I don't I don't I don't get him at all, you know. Rooshi has to deliver drugs at his place and they end up meeting and talking. I guess he's I guess he's like some sort of pimp. Um and Roos pretty much like, I wanna I want to work for you. And like not as like, you know, a prostitute or anything, but more so I don't know, doing what he does as far as you know, dealing with women and shit like that. I I don't know, I don't really know that stuff. I mean it was fine. I just I just need more information before I can say how how I really like feel about it. Um so yeah, I mean we'll see how it goes. It was a good episode. I'm locked in and uh yeah, I can't I can't wait for next week. Um but the the the conversations online regarding this show is so insane, bruh. Like they had the world premiere and apparently Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney didn't acknowledge each other or anything like that. I don't I don't I don't give a fuck. Um you know Sydney Sweeney's like Mac or whatever, and yeah, uh Zenday is like the opposite of that. So them being friends, whatever, it makes sense that they're not friends or that they don't, you know, communicate whatever. That shit doesn't bother me. I don't give I don't give a fuck, bro. Like I'm not I'm not a kid, I'm not a kid in high school. I'm just I just like watching TV, you know? I don't I don't give a fuck about any of that shit. Um musical shit is changed, bruh. That boy Labyrinth is gone. I don't really know what happened there. Um I'm gonna be honest with you though, I don't think it's gonna be a good thing for this show. Cause to me, like, his voice and his sound, like that was like the heartbeat of this show. That'll be completely honest with you. Like, first thing I think about when I think of this show is one Zendaya's roo, and then two, like Labyrinth. Like it it was just it just it was just like the perfect match. I don't know how to explain it. It was just perfect, and now it's gone. Um apparently it's gone over to like Han Zimmer as far as like score and whatnot, which I mean Han Zimmer, he's he's like top five for me. Like he's he's a goat, so I don't have a problem with him hopping in, but it's definitely gonna be a different vibe. And I've also seen people say that the show like looks like breaking bad. I think that was like an episode one type thing with her being going to Texas and being in the desert. I doubt we're gonna go back to the desert. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows? But I don't know. When she got back to California, it did feel like euphoria, even though they're not in high school anymore. Um, it does it did feel like euphoria to me. Um, so yeah. It was a good episode. I'm really excited for uh episode two next Sunday night. I will be back with you guys then uh for more euphoria talk. Um, but as far as everything else goes, like I said, me and hopefully me and Chase will be back on. I'll definitely be back on Tuesday. Hopefully, Chase is with me on Tuesday to talk about Daredevil Born Again and uh the boys and the Instable and all that other good stuff. Uh this Hong L podcast. I'm out.
