Hello world, this is I'm the podcast. Today is Tuesday, April 28th, 2026. This is Film on Television Podcast for Top Prof at Film Television. My name is Cable. Uh no chase today. He was having some uh technical difficulties with his internet, so it's just me. Uh we're gonna talk about Daredevil Born Again season two, and then also uh Euphoria season three. Um this is mainly gonna be about euphoria though, because I was supposed to record that earlier today, but you know, something came up, so I had to wait till tonight. Uh just got done watching Daredevil, so figured I'd talk about that a little bit. First, uh yeah, Daredevil Born Again, season two, episode seven. Pretty much a rundown. Um Karen, she ends up getting arrested. We saw that in the last episode. Um, Fisk, he wants to use to use court, use her in court to lure Matt back out to the public, and uh it works. We get Matt Murdoch back for the first time in a while. Um this uh public court hearing leads to uh Mayor Marge, who's played by Lily Taylor, to uh pretty much wanting to take down Fisk as the mayor of New York City. Um after court, uh Matt and Kirsten and Cherry, they're all shot at by the task force. They escape, but Matt does get shot. The episode ends with him in the church praying. Um Daniel, situation with BB. He's pretty much told to bring BB to Buck, so you know they can execute her. Uh Daniel refuses. He does show up, and he tells Buck that, you know, he doesn't know where BB is. Uh, they get into a quick fight. Daniel kills Buck. Those are really the main points of what happened in this episode. Uh, like I said, I'll be brief. I like this episode. My biggest takeaway is that we're starting to see like the downfall of the Fisk task force administration. Uh, Fisk is two lead men are separated, one of them gets murdered. Uh the court hearing, it's bringing some negative attention to Fisk and the task force. You know, the court hearing it did work by getting Matt back out to the public, but it kind of hurt as far as it's shedding light on the task force and you know, Fisk's whole involvement with all that. Um, you know, the Daniel Buck thing, it was time. Um, as far as Daniel goes getting popped. I thought BB was gonna get it this episode, but I don't know what's got with BB. I don't think I think she's ended up not getting killed at all at this point in time. Now that Daniel's gone, she might just like disappear. I can see that happening. Um but I don't know. It it didn't go the way I thought it would. Like I was kind of hoping like Buck or Fisk would give Daniel an ultimatum to point where like they were like, you have to kill her, and if you don't, then we'll kill you, which technically ended up happening. It just didn't happen the way I thought it would. Like they did kind of do with what I thought. I just didn't like the execution of it. But overall, I like this season and I'm sad it's almost over. Um, so yeah, that's Daredevil Born Again season two. Um, all right, let's get into the the juicy one. All right, Euphoria season three, episode three. I didn't do episode two last week. Uh, I'm not even gonna touch on that. I'm just gonna stick to episode three because to me this is easily the best episode of the three so far. Uh, so yeah, so what happened this episode? Um, you know, through flashbacks we find out about, you know, jewels and the whole sugar baby stuff. You know, um, she drops out of art school to become a sugar baby. Um, and we kind of get like a not like a monologue, but kind of like a compilation of her and various older men that she's been pretty much pimping. You know, one place one pays for her uh rent and all that other stuff. Um, you know, we see Rue and Jules, and Rue pretty much tells her that she wants Jules to be her plus one at uh Cassie and Nate's wedding. Um alright. What else happened? Um, you know, Eric Dane, he's back as Cal Jacobs. Um we do get an interaction between him and Jules at the wedding, which I thought was pretty interesting. Uh I'm gonna talk about that later with the whole Eric Dane stuff in this back being back in this show. Um the wedding is insane, bro. But you know, Nate and Cassie, they tie the knot. Um, and their wedding is pretty much crashed by a man named Nas, who who claims Nate owes him over half a million dollars for a failed development project. Um, and then yeah, when they return back to their home after the wedding, you know, shit gets real. You know, Nas and the central they yeah, they ambushed the couple and they they caused some trouble. She gets very violent, very ugly. All right, then finally, um Rue. You know, she's working for Alamo. Um, she sent out a mission to kill Lori's uh parrot, and uh that does happen. Um let's get into it though. Uh this episode was fucking insane. Uh some of the most stressful anxiety-causing episodes of TV I've ever watched, like in a long time. Um, probably since like season two, episode six of the bear, the forks episode. Um because after watching this, you know, I told myself it's like, I'm like, yo, I need a cigarette. And even though I never smoked one, like just man, a lot of tension in that fucking episode, bro. Um, the jewels sugar baby stuff, like, I don't know, man. It seems like since season one, they don't really know what to do with jewels. Like, I'm glad she's around. Um, she's pimping these motherfuckers out. And I just find it funny because I I told myself, I'm like, my man, you notice like no niggas at all. You know, that whole sugar baby stuff, but that's some that's some that's some WPS, bro. That's from strict white people shit to the core. Um, but hey, you know, get your money, girl. Um, but I everybody at the wedding, like Jules and Rue, they seemed like they were like, you know, just low-key and just enjoying themselves. You know, everybody else kind of had some like shit going on and they were just worried and stressed. And Jules and Rue, they were they were chilling, you know, they were doing their thing. Now, let's go to the wedding. Um, you know, Cal Jacobs, he notices that Jules is there and he talks to her. He explains everything and talks about how he's not a pedo if you're liking young people and he apologizes to Jules. Um, he talks about how you know nobody wants to fuck an old person, you know, you're gonna fuck a young person, this or that. Um which, you know, it's obviously wrong. You're a pedo if you're fucking underage uh children. That's pretty obvious. Um I don't know. I like it. I like that he's somewhat changed, but part of me just wishes Eric Dane wasn't here in the show at all at this point. Because like, you know, he obviously died earlier this year from ALS. And you know, they incorporate him having ALS into this show. And to me, seasons one and two, he's just like one of the most hateable characters on the show. And it's and now is at the point where like I can't hate him anymore. You know, it's more so just like I just feel bad, you know. Um, but rest in peace, Eric Dane. Um Maddie. She's at the wedding. You know, she's cool, she seems fine, but at some point, you know, Nate's mom while making a speech, she kind of subliminally disses Maddie without actually saying her name. And I feel like that kind of struck a nerve to the point where you know, Maddie, she just seems either sad or mad. She was going through something. You know, she ended up she ended up leaving the wedding early. Um, you know, I don't know if it was because either like a jealous thing or just thinking back to the past or having regrets or something like that, but her her demeanor completely changes and she just leaves the wedding, which you know, I mean, whatever. I don't really know why she was there anyway, to be completely honest with you. Um, but yeah, she ends up leaving. Um, so I'm kind of curious to see what's gonna happen with her going forward. Uh all right, let's get to the crack you shit. I'm during the wedding, Nate and Cassie are eating the project, and they're interested by a man named Najee claims that Nate owes him a lot of money. You know, he's this Nas guy, he seems calmly mad. He's kind of joking around, but he also seems upset. But um, you know, Nate, he treasures to him like, hey, I got your money, and I'll get you paid back paid. Cassie, she's you know, she's confused. Um, yeah, Cassie pretty much just has it starts having a panic attack. Um, Nas leaves, but you know, Cassie, she wants to know what's going on. She starts talking about I want to be poor. Nate tries calling her down, but it's not working. Like, you know, I'm just sitting here thinking, like, you know, can you at least fake through this just for the wedding? And then we can fight about this when we get to the crib. But she was like, No, we gotta talk about this now. Um, and Cassie, she's just constantly crying from that point on to the end of the wedding, pretty much. Um, which, you know, this is interesting though, because like old Nate would have just beat the shit out of Cassie right then and there. Um, but that didn't happen. You know, he, you know, through it all, it didn't even seem like he he got mad at Cassie about the whole situation. Which, you know, I'm be honest, bro. If my girl was acting like that at our wedding, I'm sorry, bro. Like, I'm getting pissed. I ain't saying I'm gonna like beat her out of anything, but that's fucking tough, bro. Um, it was rough, you know. But he stresses it'll be okay. Cassie, she can't hold her emotions. Um, and she's even crying like while they're doing like their big dance in front of everybody. Like, it's really like a really like awkward It's really like a really awkward situation, bro. Like, I don't know, man. That awkward shit just man, I'm just kinda like cringing watching it because it's like so fucking awkward and so painful to watch, but you know, it was this. Um but yeah, this whole situation was insane. Like, have we met Nas yet? I don't remember him at all, but this is really like one of those episodes where you really have no idea what's gonna happen. Cause I was kind of expecting Nate to get killed at the wedding. Um, but it didn't happen, but the entire sequence, it's just very intense and it's very wild. Um, Sam Levinson, he did a good job of like leading you on to what may happen, but switching every time to something else. And like nothing ended up happening at the wedding. They leave the wedding and go home. They get home. Nas is waiting for him there. Uh he has his boy beat the shit out of Nate. He also smacks Cassie around. She's just crying, complaining about this. Um, supposed to be supposed to be the best day of her life being ruined. I'm in the background. Nate's fighting for his life while this keeps covering blood and he's just getting this shit beat out of him. Um and he ends up getting his toe cut off in the process. So I really don't know what's gonna happen. Um I'm be I think Nate's gonna die. Like this being his next episode, I just think Nate's gonna get popped. Because to me, it really it really makes no sense for like this to be the case for um I don't know. It just it just makes no sense for this to continue on. Um you know, and like in episode one, I mentioned Breaking Bad. That's what this episode reminds me of, honestly. Um, not in a bad way. Because this is just a wild scene. Um I do expect Nick to die. Um, because this is episode three out of eight. It'd be a big swing, but I just expect it to happen. Because if he doesn't then what? Like, does Nate just spend the rest of the season trying to get his money back? Seems like a waste of the character, to be honest. I've never been married, only been at two weddings, and I hated uh both of them. Um I'm very anti-wedding. So, you know, it's not for me. Um, but like is it normal for people to just go straight home after a wedding? That seems off to me, and honestly, after the motherfucker showed up to the wedding, I'm just not going straight home. Like, I'm just not like to me that makes no sense at all. To go straight to the crib. I mean, this guy probably knows Renee lives anyway, so yeah, I'm just not going home. Okay, finally. Um, Rue working at Alamo's strip club. Um Lori sends a pig there. The pig piss and shits everywhere. Alamo kills a pig. Alamo sends Rue and Bishop to kill Lori's uh parrot. Um Rue goes there with the intentions to make a drug deal, I guess. Um, Bishop, he's been signing there with the parrot, he slips some fentanyl inside the bird's water bowl. It's a really like intense scene because you have no idea what's gonna happen. Like, you got the two racist dudes just sitting there. Um, Bishop doesn't have his gun, the racist dudes have his gun. Lori, she's kind of just standing there wondering what's going on. Ruth, she's just sitting there, really not saying anything. You know, Bishop, he's talking about how he's enamored and loves animals, this and that. Like, I really have no idea what's gonna happen. Like, in my mind, I'm thinking somebody's about to get popped. There's gonna be like a fucking shootout. But it didn't end up happening. Um, it's really intense scene, though. Like, that shit really reminded me of breaking bad. Um, you know, he pulls out a water cash and he gives it to Lori and they leave. Later on, Lori just sleeps on the couch in the paradise. So I'm really curious to see how that goes with the next episode. Um, and as Rue's driving home, she gets pulled over by a DA agent, and the DA agent, you know, knows her knows her by her full name. So I'm really curious to see what's kind of like that as well. Um, but yeah, I think I'm back. Um they lost me for a bit with the first two episodes, but I'm back. Like I'm locked in on this show. Like a lot happened in this episode, and a lot will be happening going forward. I don't know where it's going, but I'm along for the ride. Um I didn't care for the first two episodes, but to me this was a great episode. This reminded me of I can't say reminding me of the first two seasons because first two seasons aren't really the same as this show. Like they feel like completely different shows. But either way, I uh I really I really I really enjoyed it. Um I thought I thought it was a great episode, very intense. Um, and I'm really curious to see what happens going forward. Oh, and then also um you know there's a part where Ru's in the car driving, going to uh Lori's house, and the whole um, you know, she's on the phone with Fez. You know, we don't hear or she doesn't say him by name. But it's like the thing about the innit or we know Fez is locked up. It's Fez. Um we didn't hear his voice though. I do believe we're supposed to hear his voice at some point in this season. Um, which, you know, I'll probably cry when that happens because he was my favorite character. Um, but yeah, that's that was uh that was interesting. Um, but yeah, this is a great episode of TV. Um Daredevil, really good episode. What else? Um, yeah, that's really it. Um not caught up on the boys, haven't been watching Invincible. Chase has been watching both of those. Hopefully, we'll be able to record later this week so Chase can talk about the boys. Oh, so me and me and him can talk about the boys, and he can talk about Invincible, and I can also get his thoughts on uh Daredevil Born Again. Um, but yeah, that's that's where we're at with this. And uh yeah, stay locked in with me. This I'm now podcast. My name is Caleb. Follow me on letterbox at lipscom forever, and I am out.
