Welcome to Anchored Not Anxious. This is where you gain a deep belief your life matters to God and discover the anchoring practices to manage anxiety and worry. I'm Terri Hutchinson, your host. Hi friends. Thanksgiving is behind us. And the season of Mary approaches. What do you want most in December? Maybe what you need most is a guided imagery session. Enhancing relaxation. And recentering. If so let's get to it. First. I will lead you through a simple relaxation progression. Before I guide you to an imagery experience. Before I begin. Select a quiet setting and settle into a comfortable body position. Pause the episode. If you need time to get settled. Let's begin. Close your eyes. And draw your attention. To the top of your head. Slowly drift your focus to your forehead. Lift your brows upward. To relieve tension. Now move. To your eyes. Soften. The eyes. Direct your focus to the jaw. Gently wiggle your lower job back and forth. Releasing any stress here? Notice your shoulders. Intentionally. Push your shoulders down and away from your ears. Breathe in D. Exhale slowly. Breathe in deep. Exhale slowly. Move your attention to your arms and hands. Open your hands. Flex your fingers. Then relax. Notice your abdomen. You are back. Release any tension. Notice your legs. Gently flex your feet. We go your toes. Inhale deeply. Exhale slowly. Inhale deeply. Exhale slowly. You are still and at ease. Imagine. A large meadow. Move into the meadow. See the soft green grass swaying in a gentle breeze. Feel sunshine, warming your face. As you lift your eyes up into deep blue skies. Lazy puffy white clouds drift across the blueness. God's goodness and unfailing love is present. A melody of sweet bird songs, kisses your ear ears. A pleasing fragrance, lingers in the air. You move further into the meadow. And see bright orange and red wild flowers. Growing by a peaceful stream. The stream calls you closer. Rhythmic. Rippling of water and stone. Mesmerizes you? You reach down into the cool water. Letting it dance and glide across your hand. As the water flows between your fingers. The peace of Christ flows into your heart. Beside the stream, a grassy carpet back in Judas. Sick. You lower, intuits refreshing coolness. As the sun gently warms your body. Breathe in deeply. The Lord is your shepherd. He protects you beloved. He guide you along the right path. His rest renews your strength. The Meadows, tranquility and peace. Fall light. Do. Invigorating your mind, body and soul. This is a safe place. Breathe. Your body feels rejuvenated. Your mind is calm. Say to yourself. I am at peace. This meadow is made for rest. You know, this meadow is here. You can return whenever you desire. It is time to leave the meadow. Stay in your comfortable position. Slowly open your eyes. Remain here. And remember this feeling of relaxation. Take this remembrance with you. And we activate it when tension rises and worry dominates your thoughts. This concludes the guided imagery session. I certainly hope you enjoy. These brief moments of relaxation. And I hope it energizes you and motivates you for all that is coming. Until next time.
