Issue #1 of Spiderman VS predator
NYC is Going through a heat wave NyC is Boiling And Predators Decide to come to earth and enjoy it
Welcome everybody. All right. Here we are. Predator versus Spider-Man. Issue number one. By Benjamin Percy. And Marcello Ferriari. Predator versus Spider-Man. Issue number one. Alright, here we go. Robbers assault murderers. But this was different. This wasn't a bullet to the head or a knife to the gut. This was something new. Most of the time when there's a killing, it happens fast. This one has some time and care and even artistry put into it. Says the detective. You ever say anything like that, Detective? Nope. As she continues to crunch. This building was condemned a year ago. The neighbors been full of junky squatters ever since. Could it be drug related? A stolen stash? Or maybe a neighborhood vigilante, one that cleaned up his block. You're thinking pretty logically, crunch crunch. Skinny someone in my mind anyway defies logic. The coroner takes picture of the dead body strung to the ceiling. This wasn't a robbery, but something was stolen. Everybody's missing a piece. A jaw, a rib, a finger. What do you think that means? says the coroner. I wish I knew. This skinner is some kind of sick ass trophy hunter, says the detective. And hey, what were you doing talking to the neighbors? That's my job. I asked you a question. Sorry we're late. Stuck in traffic as usual. Hold up. You just got here. Then who have I been talking to?
unknownMr.
SPEAKER_00Jameson, it's Peter. I got something. Peter turns into Spider-Man and zips across New York City. The last time you promised me something, Parker, it was a fucking neighborhood puppy parading Queens. You think it's hot outside? It's really fucking hot in here. Our feet are in the fire, yells Jameson. This paper barely has a budget anymore. You five canceled subscriptions away from losing your job. You're five subscriptions away from losing your job. I don't want good news. I want bad news. I want fear. I want fear. Get clicks. Clicks get revenue. How about a mass murder? Do you have photos? You better have photos. Be there in five. Traffic's light, the way I'm going. That Spider-Man zips around town as he heads towards a daily bugle. Make that twenty five minutes. Robbers start breaking Robins. Actually, they begin to shoot at Spider-Man. Go, go, go, go, go! It's a robbery. Spider-Man zips across town trying to stop the burglars. Spider-Man thought he. Spider-Man thought he would out them off at the next block, but he didn't anticipate the orphans or a fire hydrant. That turned the Boiling Hot Street into a water park. The burglars zip through the street. Kids playing in the water. Spider-Man grabs the kids and throws them out of the way as the car zooms and almost hits the kids. Hey kids, sorry to interrupt the play date. He webs up the kids, but they continue to laugh and play. Close the doors, cut the engine, says one of the burglars. We split up. We split up the cash real quick. Then we each go our separate way, says one of the burglars. Nobody talks to nobody for two weeks. Understand? says one of the burglars. You hearing me? As one of the burglars turns back, he sees his he sees his partners all cut up, laying on the floor in blood. He pulls his gun. What the fuck is this? Whoever you are, where the fuck you are? You want to cut in this? Let's work something out. And then a hand grabs the burglar's face and rips off his face. The burglar screams in pain. A knife peers from a gunlet, pierces the burglar in half. The burglar slams on the floor in pain. And he lays there dying. The predator. It is. He uses the face, he rips off from the burglar, puts it on his own face. Bye, have fun. Spider-Man leaves the kids in their play date. Don't even over by a car. Grumpy taxi drivers or delivery burgers weighed down with warm salads or leaky burritos. Okay, back to the baddies. Parker lands on the roof. Oh no. He takes off his mask. Picks up his phone. Parker, I thought you'd say you're be here already. Mr. Jameson, what I saw earlier, it wasn't an isolated incident. As you can think of Jameson on the phone. We're dealing with a serial killer. The predator has strung up all the bodies from the burglars and hung them high. They've all been skinned. They're dripping in their own blood. The heat was like a living thing. A predator that you that had to fight to survive. Every AC unit in the city was cringed to the limit. Every fan blasted on high. The Greek only takes so much. The article isn't terrible, Parker, but it needs more dirty panic. A U could be next tone of warning. I disagree. I only feel okay about running this because I don't want it to happen to anyone else, says Parker. We want people to be careful and vigilant, not scared. Are you fucking kidding me? A power outage? I've got breaking fucking news here, says Jameson. The train zips on by. The passengers seem to notice it's out of power. Don't turn the light on. Click. Seriously. Mary Jane is in the dark as she sits on the train car. Yo, Mahell! For the love of Do you think it started up again? Nah, we're gonna get trapped down here forever, says the passengers. Let's just stay calm, everybody. As perishers start to panic. No no no no no. Hey, I'm MJ, you okay? I get claustrophobic, says one of the passengers. The heat, the dark, I can't. If it was tight in here, I know, says MJ. But look at that space outside. You see, just focus on what's out there and not in here. Thanks, MJ. I'm trying, says the passenger. Hey, I need to see somebody out there, says the passenger. Yeah, it could be somebody. With transit. Maybe they're fixing the track. As a preter walks by the moving train with a face he stole from one of the burglars earlier. Pratter jumps onto the train window. Ah! MJ screams. Assuming you got juice, let's get your phone and laptop paired. I want this article up on the website and social media pronto, says Jameson. I got no coverage. Towers are down. And Connet is saying it could be days before they get everyone's power up and running again. The fuck? What are we supposed to do? Sit here with our thumbs up our asses? Let's fire up the genny. The network is down, so we got analog. We can sell papers actually. Actual papers. We have to sell them on a street corners old school. Nobody will have anything to do stream or swipe or click, so we help the paper with a big boost of readers. But more importantly, we help protect the city. As they rush to get the papers out. Papers! Papers! Get your papers here! Over the next few hours, it grew as hot inside as out. People did what they could to stay cool. Special edition, the Daily Bugle. And passed the time. They wouldn't have known they were being hunted if not for Peter. Read all about it! The shoes are gonna be extra dark tonight. We're gonna serial killer on the loose! Jameson and all the people at Daily Bugle passing out papers. How much for papers? Ten dollars, says Jameson. Ten dollars, says one of the bystanders. Okay, five. Give me five. Your loved ones may die before the night is out, says Jameson. Unless you read the Daily Bugle. Read about the Skinner! Give me that. Someone grabs Jonah. The detective grabs Jonah. This isn't a lie, Barry! Give me 20 bucks, says Jameson. Photo credit, Peter Parker. There's not a law against dismantling photos of a crime scene without the permission of the victims or the police. Ah, fuck off. I'm protected by the fourth estate. You wanna try me? I want to bring Peter Parker to him for questioning. Well I'll arrest you, says the detective. Where is he? A Spider-Man zips over Jonah Jameson and the detective. He rushes to his home. MJ! MJ! I think I got a long night ahead of me, says Parker. He looks around for Mary J. But I wanted to check in and see how your addition went. But MJ's nowhere to be found. As MJ screams because the preter is on the window of the train. Where are you? says Peter to himself. Thanks for reading Daily Bugle. Have a good night. Wonder how much cash he got. There's a pretter on the loose. Don't be Mount the Hunted. Read all about it. How about let's unload these pockets, man? Two gangsters pull up to one of the people selling the Daily Bugle paper. He pulls out a gun, pulls it to the head. An arrow flies through the mugger's hands, taking off his hand and disarming his gun. It flies to his buddy's forehead. The fuck is that? Smoke him! Yet the gangsters begin to pull their guns out. But they also take an arrow to the head. You shouldn't be out here, says the guy selling the paper. You're not strong enough. The predator walks to the guy, pulls the arrow out of his head. The city can be a dangerous place. Especially in the dark. But before, you run back to your nest, little mouse. And you should run. What was it you're saying about this predator? Craven stands before him. To be continued. Whoa! Alright, alright, that's interesting. Alright, alright. That's issue number one Predator versus Spider Man.
