Well, hey, power's back on. About damn time. Mr. Jameson. I think we need to go. Go! What are you talking about? Go! We got work to do. The heat wave, the blackout, the serial killer. This is as hot a news cycle as they come. Exactly. And I need to show you something that could be our next headline. If you remember the cliffhanger from the issue number two, the predators jumped out of their cloaked ship. We didn't know where they land, they just jumped out. But here we go. The three predators land on a daily bugle. They attach their grappling hooks. They begin to swing down. All three of them smash into the window. What haven't you been telling telling me, Parker? You're not going to believe it. The predator smash to the window. What? What was that? Did you hear that? says the predator. Parker! Shh! I'll go check. Be right down. Peter Parker dons his Spider-Man outfit. The predators ransack the daily bugle room. Spider-Man gets ready. The predator points to the wall that Peter Parker's been working on. This is what the hunting party had come for. A blood trail. They are here for one of their own. The Yaucha with no clan or code. The Yaucha who disgraces them all. The one the humans call Skinner. He has left his mark across the city. As the predators get their clues, gather their data. Excuse me, says Spider-Man. Would you be interested in sitting down for an interview? I have so many questions. The Yao Cha look at Spider-Man. I'll take that as a no. They get ready to attack. They throw their spears, daggers, claws, everything at Spider-Man. Great. Once again, the press is under attack. Spider-Man begins to dodge, attack the predators. Predators vs Spider-Man. Whew! Who would have thought that they were hunting a rogue, Yaucha? That's crazy. Let's continue, shall we? This is step one of a thousand, but I think I got this transformer humming again. That should bring back power to at least part of the Sh! What the? An arrow hits the generator that the guy just fixed. It begins to spark, it explodes! Craven, we stay in the dark for now in New York. It was Craven who shot the arrow. If new gets out about what's actually happening here, then the Avengers will show up. And I want this hunt all to myself, says Craven. Craven knew this would take time and patience, because this predator was not his standard prey. Over the last few days, the crime scene had ranged from a nursing home in Harlem to the tiger habitat at the zoo. A grizzly hunts rivers during asylum runs, and a crocodile sinks below the surface of a watering hole frequented by gazelles. But for Skinner, there is no such specificity to his taste, making him harder to anticipate. No one is safe. As Craven hunts all over New York City for clues, New York is a city of eyes and windows and cameras. Craven knows that if the predator has killed throughout the borrows and hasn't yet been seen or recorded, then it is traveling and hiding below, not above, like a hungry spider scrambling through the city's basement. Below New York City. How do we get out of here? Sometimes it's safer down here than it is up there. Mary Jane, what do we do? Please sh the homeless man told you to keep quiet. Hurry. Noise travels far and fast. Help That's him. That's a skinner. But that sounded like a woman. That's how he tracks you, like a puppet man, throwing voices. This passage goes down, not up. You said you'll help us get out of here. After after what? After we hide. Because he's coming. Oh my god. Stay down as long as you can. Stand it. No! The homeless guy pushes Mary Jane and the other girl into a dead rat. The girl screams to land in the rat pit. Ah! The preter hears a scream. He uses thermal vision to pinpoint the sound. The predator comes out of the corner. He stabs the homeless man in the stomach. Stay down! Stay safe as the homeless man dies. The hunting party might have come for Skinner, but they are not above a little sport. The Spider seems like an interesting diversion. As Spider-Man and the Predators continue to fight each other until he isn't. There are only three of you, but your weapons make it feel like a dozen. Spider-Man and the Predator continue to trade blows, black and forth, webs, energy blasts, claws, everything. Hey stranger, since we never fought before, I'd love to get a face to go with that fishnet stocking bodysuit. He rips off the predator mask. Um on second thought, the predators are ugly. The predator retracts his claws. You can have your helmet back. Usually the bad guy likes to make a big speech about what they're making trouble in my neighborhood. But you guys are apparently the strong silent type. Spider-Man webs up their face, crashes them into each other. There's two down, but my Spidey Sense is giving me the mean tickle. The hell is going on up there, Parker? Kaboom! The top floor explodes! Pieces of as pieces of the building continue to crash down. The detective jumps onto Jameson. Have you ever asked yourself, Mr. Jameson, why trouble seems to follow Peter Parker wherever he goes? Detect the laparole. That's my goddamn office that just got destroyed. Said it before and I'll say it again. I'm surrounded by idiots, incompetents, and assassins. What is that thing? The Predator cuts through Spider-Man's web. To be continued. On the next issue, number four, the last issue. The predator finally have the Skinner and their crosshairs, but another great hunter stands in their way. Craven. As these three competing forges battle their way through the nighttime streets, Spider-Man takes to the rooftops, where he discovers something that threatens to destroy the entire New York City. Holy crap, bro. Who would have thought that they were hunting another predator? I didn't think that. I thought they were hunting Spider-Man. Hell, even Craven. But hey, that's why we read. Alright, you guys. That's issue number three of Spider Man vs. Predator, or Predator vs. Spider Man. I'm your host, The Iceman.
