When you think of your typical film buff, who do you picture? Probably not two first-generation Jamaican/Canadian basketball players. This podcast was created to change that. Scene DMs is a journey through the minds of two best friends from Toronto who are huge fans of two things: movies and basketball. This podcast was created to be a bridge between cinematic works of art and the world of sports—from two film lovers who also happen to be professional athletes. Each week on Thursday join co-hosts Duane Notice and MiKyle Mclntosh as they discuss, debate, and review different aspects of movies, film, and cinema-from pure entertainment value to behind-the-scenes work, and everything in between. Along the way, their discussions will evoke powerful feelings of nostalgia, bridge the gap between sports and the art of cinema, and encourage more appreciation for both. Tune in EVERY THURSDAY!!

ACT TWO - They debate the franchise’s evolution from the highest and lowest moments in this Alien filmography. They discuss the Ridley Scott directed Promotheus (2012), & Alien: Covenant (2017) which re-energized the Alien franchise.

ACT THREE - They debate if Aliens are real. Then the guys discuss the most recent film in the Alien cannon with Romulus (2024).
