When you think of your typical film buff, who do you picture? Probably not two first-generation Jamaican/Canadian basketball players. This podcast was created to change that. Scene DMs is a journey through the minds of two best friends from Toronto who are huge fans of two things: movies and basketball. This podcast was created to be a bridge between cinematic works of art and the world of sports—from two film lovers who also happen to be professional athletes. Each week on Thursday join co-hosts Duane Notice and MiKyle Mclntosh as they discuss, debate, and review different aspects of movies, film, and cinema-from pure entertainment value to behind-the-scenes work, and everything in between. Along the way, their discussions will evoke powerful feelings of nostalgia, bridge the gap between sports and the art of cinema, and encourage more appreciation for both. Tune in EVERY THURSDAY!!

INTRO - The guys are back with a special edition of SceneDMs, joined by professional actor B. Todd Johnston. He's known for his roles in Law & Order, Power Book 2: Ghost, Dodgy & Mayor of Kingstown. Merv, DuuNo & B. Todd all catch up on life while discussing their introduction to their love when it comes to the world of cinema.

ACT ONE - They debate whether sequels are necessary before listing some of their personal favorites regarding the best sequels made in Hollywood.

ACT TWO - They speak about the most slept-on sequels that are lowkey classics. B. Todd, Merv & DuuNo get passionate about reviewing the worst sequel films ever made.

ACT THREE - The guys speak on iconic trilogies that had their legacy ruined because of the third entry film in the Franchise being underwhelming. Then they think about which actors have never participated in any sequel movies despite being A - list movie stars at one point in their careers. B.Todd shares his journey & experience as an actor on TV and talks about surreal moments bts on set.
