When you think of your typical film buff, who do you picture? Probably not two first-generation Jamaican/Canadian basketball players. This podcast was created to change that. Scene DMs is a journey through the minds of two best friends from Toronto who are huge fans of two things: movies and basketball. This podcast was created to be a bridge between cinematic works of art and the world of sports—from two film lovers who also happen to be professional athletes. Each week on Thursday join co-hosts Duane Notice and MiKyle Mclntosh as they discuss, debate, and review different aspects of movies, film, and cinema-from pure entertainment value to behind-the-scenes work, and everything in between. Along the way, their discussions will evoke powerful feelings of nostalgia, bridge the gap between sports and the art of cinema, and encourage more appreciation for both. Tune in EVERY THURSDAY!!

INTRO - The guys catch up, then speak about SGA's dominant season in the
NBA with OKC. Plus they name which NBA ringless player is the best. They discuss the hilarious moments from Dave Chappelle's 2025 SNL monologue and compare it to the other memorable SNL special guest appearances.

ACT ONE - The guys debate whether the Marvel or DC film company is better in terms of animated pictures. Merv and DuuNo debate their Mount Rushmore of DC comic heroes. They briefly review some of the first DC animated movies starting in 1993.

ACT TWO - DuuNo and Merv debate their least favorite DC characters. Then they dive back into reviewing and dissecting the DC Animated filmography.

ACT THREE - They list their Mount Rushmore of DC villains. They finish the last set of recapping the DC animated films. Merv and DuuNo argue why live - action films never reach the same quality as the animated ones.
