When you think of your typical film buff, who do you picture? Probably not two first-generation Jamaican/Canadian basketball players. This podcast was created to change that. Scene DMs is a journey through the minds of two best friends from Toronto who are huge fans of two things: movies and basketball. This podcast was created to be a bridge between cinematic works of art and the world of sports—from two film lovers who also happen to be professional athletes. Each week on Thursday join co-hosts Duane Notice and MiKyle Mclntosh as they discuss, debate, and review different aspects of movies, film, and cinema-from pure entertainment value to behind-the-scenes work, and everything in between. Along the way, their discussions will evoke powerful feelings of nostalgia, bridge the gap between sports and the art of cinema, and encourage more appreciation for both. Tune in EVERY THURSDAY!!

ACT ONE - Simrit speaks on what elements make a romance comedy a good film and they review some of the underrated classic romcom movies. The guys declare the best cheesy romcom in history.

ACT TWO - DuuNo and Merv debate what makes romance thrillers a great genre to tap into. Simrit gives her top choices for a modern-age movie star. Then Merv and DuuNo review the better romantic thrillers that were spicy and decisive.

ACT THREE - They list the best fictional married relationships in film before describing their most memorable date sequences executed in a movie. Simrit gives insight on her filmmaking process and what to expect from her in the near future.
