Gina Heumann
Gina Heumann is a "renaissance woman": wife, mother, architect, designer, professor, author, speaker, and trauma advocate. She and her husband, Aaron, adopted two boys from Guatemala, the youngest of which was neglected by his foster mom, resulting in over a decade of family chaos. Gina’s love of learning and dedication as a mother inspired her research of different treatments and therapies that eventually led to her inspirational book, Love Never Quits: Surviving and Thriving After Infertility, Adoption, and Reactive Attachment Disorder, which was awarded a gold level Parent’s Choice Award. She is also a TEDx speaker on the topic of early childhood trauma and now founder & CEO of Trauma Drama University. TDU provides education, support, and resources to parents in the trenches raising kids with trauma behaviors.
