What is the church's responsibility to immigrants? It is not the wild savagery we see happening now. This episode will shed light on scripture and its position, on immigration and how we are to treat immigrants. This episode was created to inform the uninformed and to give voice to scripture that get very little voice or space I our pulpits on Sunday mornings, or at all.

Hello, and we're back with another episode of Yup, it's in there. And today we're going to be covering uh immigration and where we stand as it relates to um you know policies in the Word of God. Many of us we claim not to know who to vote for, we claim not to know what's happening in policies. And so while I won't tell you who to vote for, I will give you a clear perspective on policy and where we sit and where we stand as Christians. And so if you find that as a Christian, you're in opposition to the word of God, then it's going to take for you some introspection and determining and deciding either I am a Christian who is looking toward establishing the kingdom in the earth, or I am a nationalist who has a preference for culture, be it black nationalism, white nationalism, Chinese nationalism, whichever of those that you identify more with, despite the standard and the stance in the Word of God, is a clear indicator of, you know, maybe what side you fall on. And so today's episode, again, is going to be on immigration. And some you ask, is there policy issues in scripture as it relates to immigration? And my response to that is a resounding, yup, it's in there. And so today we're going to start with uh the book of Leviticus. And so before we jump into the book of Leviticus, I do would like to give you the definition of what immigration is and just give you a little background on where we stand as a country and what may be influencing your decisions, you know, as it relates to your ideology on immigration. And so Miriam Webster defines immigration as a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence. The U.S. Constitution has this to say concerning immigration. Section 1, clause one of the 14th Amendment reads: all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. There are many Christians who take a position concerning immigration, which is a contradiction to the scriptures. There is a nationalism in this country that is anti-God. And I'd like to point out what the Bible has to say concerning immigration. And so if you would please turn with me in your Bibles to Leviticus 19, verses 33 through 34. And that scripture reads, When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native born among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God. These scriptures provide clear instruction on how we are to treat foreigners. Scripture also states that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. And so what I'm going to do now is I am going to jump on over to Numbers 15 and 15, which is another scripture as it relates to immigration and how we are to treat those who are foreign among us. And so Numbers 15 and 15 reads: the community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner residing among you. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the Lord. The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you. There is no out, you know, for those who call themselves believers. And so I do want to say that there are many believers who oppose immigration. They complain that immigrants will take supply or resources that should only be available to the native or native-born. The scripture clearly states that when they come, then they become one of you. And the book of Philippians 4, 19 reads: it says, But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus. What we see and experience is through the lens of the Word of God. And if we place priority on lack or the prognosticators as it relates to supply and demand, then we step outside of our God given responsibility in dealing with immigrants and dealing with the issues of immigration.
