How do you feel when you are invited to something? How do you feel when you found out that you are not invited? To quest for presence means we recognize the ongoing, always available, and inclusive invitation to experience this happening life. YOU ARE INVITED! You can “show up” if you want to. Perhaps a gift awaits you.

We experience a new freedom, when we recognize that all of us – all humanity, regardless of belief – are invited to a healthy view of time. Through this episode, listen to different perspectives and stories about this invitation. Precious time is slipping away…so we may as well enjoy the ride…together.

So, you are invited (as attraction, not promotion) to jump into this “present.” Certain qualities emerge when we dive in—among them, vulnerability, humility, inclusivity, capacity, belonging, community. This episode also explores what happens when we open this gift—the thought of legacy, bequeathing, and “what will I leave behind?”

Finally, there is the treasure and our personal treasure stories. This episode is associated with pages 1 through 10 in “The Connoisseur of Time” with the focus on “The Ferry Ride” and the decision to either take a picture of an inspiring moment or set the camera aside to immerse ourselves in the moment.

So, as you listen, reflect on the question “What am I being invited to?”

---

This episode references the song “Precious Time” by Van Morrison, Psalm 90 of the Old testament, and the meaning of the word “bequeath” (see this video for a deeper dive on the meaning of this word.) Also, a true invitation brings up the saying or motto “Take what you need and leave the rest.”
