What is Sanctification

We discussed the biblical concept of Sanctification, building on their previous discussion of justification. Kyle led the discussion, explaining that sanctification is the gracious, lifelong process where God transforms believers into the likeness of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. The participants shared relevant scriptures, including 2 Corinthians 3:18, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, and John 17:17, to illustrate the sanctification process. Grandpa Joe shared an example comparing John the Baptist's work of justification to Jesus's work of sanctification, emphasizing that true sanctification requires both knowledge of the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit.
