Be on Fire, Not Burnt Out with Rebecca Leppard

Today we speak with London based Rebecca Leppard.  She looks at how women can avoid burn out and grow their business in the tech space.

Rebecca Leppard is a neurodivergent entrepreneur who transitioned from a high-powered corner office at a 5-star hotel to the fast-paced and dynamic world of tech and consulting. She founded Upgrading Women, a brand and content agency helping female founders go to market. Well-networked within the South England tech ecosystem, she is a business mentor with Virgin Start Up. She is the first Indonesian immigrant in the UK that has been invited as a thought-leader in Southampton City Council, Barclays Eagle Labs, IronHack and various tech start-up scenes in England and Europe. Her dedication in unlocking the voices of the underrepresented workforce stems from her lived experiences. Rebecca is also committed to making a tangible impact in her community and has made a pledge to take on one pro-bono client for every paying client.

Upgrading Women Media Group is an all-female band of creative content producers based in the UK. It publishes weekly newsletter read by over 2000 female leaders around the world. Its brand and content agency branch of the group helps female founders go to market with their strategic and empathetic approach in marketing to humans. Its mission is to amplify voices of women and members of underrepresented groups, enabling them to rise up to the challenge in their careers and businesses. So many ideas thought of by women and minorities aren’t even heard of due to the barriers and biases. If we don’t make the necessary changes, we as a society will lose out from life-saving innovations. Through its pro-bono work, Upgrading Women supports grass-root non-profit organisations in raising funds for poverty alleviation, women’s rights and economic empowerment.
