Being diagnosed with osteoarthritis doesn't mean you have to stop living your best life.  Today we speak with the owner of Genuine Glow Wellness Valerie Bachinsky on how to make changes to keep thriving.

 Valerie Bachinsky
 Genuine Glow Wellness

Valerie was diagnosed with osteoarthritis (OA) when she was 27. A couple years ago she thought her hiking and climbing days were over due to her ankle and knee pain. She was told little could be done until she was old enough for a joint replacement (she is now 49). So, Valerie leveraged her master's degree in nursing and discovered all the scientific evidence that had been done on OA in the past years. She found that lifestyle changes really are the best way to improve OA symptoms. But, as an emotional eater, she also had to do a lot of inner work to stick to the changes she wanted to commit to. It worked and today she is training to do a 16 miles hike up a mountain, something she hasn't even dared to dream of doing for the past 15 years.

Valerie's company, Genuine Glow Wellness, helps people with osteoarthritis make the lifestyle changes needed to improve their osteoarthritis symptoms and slow the progression so that they can continue to live their best life.
