Teacher Gela Podcast

75. There may be a Good Part on the Other Side; of a Cold Grey Winter, for Example.

Angela Lee Season 1 Episode 75

It’s the time that some animals get ready to hibernate.

You can teach your child about what kinds of animal hibernate, where they go, how long they stay in hibernation etc.

But in Teacher Gela classroom, we learn about a tortoise  who couldn’t hibernate, but instead, could find good things about winter and got to like winter.

Yes, it might not be so realistic but it doesn’t need to be!😏

From this tortoise’s story, children can learn about the limitations of our view, an open mind and a growth mindset.

We use the book “A Loud Winter’s Nap” by Katy Hudson for this week’s quality time.

Don’t miss this hibernation season. It’s easier to understand things for children when the things are actually happening at the time.
