In the opening message of the new series, S.H.A.P.E.: All Called, All Gifted, All Needed, Andrew introduces the big-picture vision for why understanding our unique design is essential for the church. Setting the stage with the church's strategic focus to "build the team, build the building, and make disciples," he explains that building a healthy team requires high self-awareness of how God has uniquely wired each person. Andrew warns against two common traps caused by sin and comparison: feeling inadequate by trying to copy someone else's shape, or becoming arrogant by assuming everyone should be like us. Instead, recognizing our individual combination of experiences, personality, and spiritual gifts leads to a deep reliance on God and empowers us to fulfill our ultimate purpose—to glorify God and bless those around us.
