SPEAKER_03

What do you hear when you think of me?

SPEAKER_01

Alright, punks, drunks, and skunks. Turn that sound up loud enough for the neighbors to hear. This is the Misplaced Punk Show with your host, Brody. So grab a beer and let's go.

unknown

It's all they have to eat.

SPEAKER_09

A very tasty fair to be fast.

SPEAKER_05

Already that I am a week again. I'm here. Very weak for me. Very, very cool weekend. In the back, like three to four days a week of work is then three to four days off. I don't know. Five days a week, two days off is not cutting it anymore for me. I am too exhausted. I don't know if anyone else. I feel like I spend Saturday just like getting over, not getting a free fall week, getting frustrated and tired. And then I don't end up getting done any of the shit that I want to get done, and then I'm working, and then I'll have to go back to work tomorrow. Uh so you're all like that. Uh yeah. Uh you know, that's the end of the episode. Our intro this week was the blue, which when I think of you. We started off with seasonal midware and ice climbers. That is from Hummer Feelings volume one. RPV records. Oh, what the fuck are you thinking? I think it's a fucking yoga place back in the day. I have no idea. Anyway. Anyway. Let's get into the first thing. What's our favorite? The motherfucker. Your brick. Our brick. Right here?

SPEAKER_03

I've been picking up the pieces. Pick it up, pick it up, yeah, yeah. Never rest, we get some pieces. Pick it up, pick it up, yeah, yeah. Molly, bring this up button, running down. It's a shame. I won't wheel round to see the fuckers pun down to the ground.

unknown

Better notch, better notch, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Fill me up with sheep lice. I feel it out, I feel it out. Yeah, yeah. Why do you bring you some button?

SPEAKER_04

But it's a shame I won't be around to see the fuckers bundles in the ground.

SPEAKER_03

Burn it down, run it down, yeah, yeah. Could you try it out your face? Turn around, turn around, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Molly bridges are burning, burn and down. It's a shame, I won't be around to see the fuckers, burn down to the ground. Molly bridges are burning, running down It's a shame I won't be around to see the fuckers, burn down to the ground.

SPEAKER_06

I slipped outside in the rain again. I was kicked on the couch by my last friend. Steal it is over it is dope. But it's been this place since I was a kid. All my family chill is dead, all my kids call some of the goddamn Wellington's just so suicide, but it feels so good on the other side. So goddamn thank you, spring it back. Last year's like a dream, but it comes by the screen.

unknown

I keep waiting for me. If you don't affect you, the money feels with this country, please don't give a shit.

SPEAKER_03

If somebody wants to see if you can give you bit, I'm afraid you're gonna get me.

SPEAKER_05

It's a bag and also make it for our cause I know that's not all I got I wake up on strength and crow, I got high rogues, say goodbye and say hello, I got high hopes, I win up change for tomorrow, I got high hopes, I got high hopes, I hope, high hopes, let me come on straight on hold, I got high coach, go by one say hope, I got high hopes, I win our change for tomorrow, I got high coach, I got high hopes, I would I forgot to mention that uh when new band singer and uh new music from three years coming up, later the episode. For the uh three fake world. We haven't played it yet on the show, so I can't wait. Um anyway. So that's it with the fourth all your bridges are burning three. We ended up set with 50,000 title from the album over here. Alright. I am in the mood for the massacre. Fucking full massacre. I'm gonna go with uh one of the latest this is of course fucking right here on the place control.

SPEAKER_03

That wasn't a giant raging asshole That's all how I'm not surprised 15 minutes of your bullshit, that's a big way, they just straight up gay, okay, okay, why be hooked, okay, so we're taking some fucking fucking fucking green, oh kill up, what you want to know I fucking, oh kill up, stop fucking how we got to the employees And I have to leave up We video with your death Bad and what they back Why is that?

SPEAKER_09

They'll count us too much we don't push to D Five, push to D Five I wish I prefer you attack What is a big time someone fighting yellow back?

SPEAKER_05

You know, any set that starts from Africa, we know it's gonna be a good set. And we started off with a great one. From the latest time of whatever EP. That was how fucking popular. Then we followed him up with Johnny Caster and the Rebegnation from all the stuff no left. All by Lone Creep and his single micromanager. And we finished with C's and Assist and push again from your album C's and Assist Letter. Alright, you can tell the music's a little aggressive. And that's kind of moved on in. So let's continue that with territory. This is powder cave right here on this place.

SPEAKER_10

The moderation and a share of common son. They're mad in all the way, such a ruse, in a land where the world is never done.

SPEAKER_03

They never rest for nothing, to fear a lot of us, raise their faces to the sky with the red. We now see any reason to fear another season.

SPEAKER_10

They have to get out of now, J, LA, LA, I'm the car, those things are not forever, but this should never be together.

unknown

What do you want to resolve?

SPEAKER_03

We need this city for so long. But you grow it up since I first stock. To try and reach the other side. How could you give back what you took and tried to hide?

SPEAKER_12

I should have never trusted you. Nothing by yourself. I was hoping for too long.

SPEAKER_09

Now you can't get out You made me think You were a touch.

SPEAKER_03

I should have realized You run in some cards. I let you leave when I didn't tell you a point.

SPEAKER_12

I should have never trusted you, let me buy yourself. I watch my body, you can't get out of here trusted, by yourself. I want you a bunch of up, let you take it out I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you, I trusted you.

SPEAKER_05

Alright, so so far I believe everything I've played up until this point can be found over on Bandcamp. Highly recommend you go over and check all these bands out. Help uh support them. And I don't know of anyone who's uh doing any tours, so I can't really talk about that at all, but uh see. We started off with territory and powder cake holder now. And we had three thirds deal with Shitty Little City from Neil in the Coffee, followed by Star Fucking Hipsters with the Foils of War from their album From the Doctor to the Green. Alright, up next is a band I've thought about all week. I thought I have to play them. Uh they just popped in my head. I really like this band. It's the fret rattles. They have a great new album out, but I'm gonna play something from an EP they put out called Are You Ready? Uh this is D Generation Ride. Right here on this place on the show.

SPEAKER_03

Just get skimpered now, teacher pressure back, face it now, teacher pressure back, just get skimpered now. This is the new genus The way they didn't change it, then we teleport it, you're fine with the thing. I see a teleport, words like streaming, we gotta control the I see me, I got the shooting the ball I need to go with the floor, I order, and I go down following the order, for like you away, I don't get away, get the killing up, okay, by the way, okay, my day, my day by day, by die, for some, okay, by the way, dying, by die, I think that's that, I kill the fight I'm perdonary, locked you up perdonare!

SPEAKER_11

Look at you for the follow through minority to the time, the same board, go to my journey, break down the store of the real bread, the bottom is to all, get a kid, stop we get by for the care by order, get a five day by day by day Day by day by die, die, by die, borderbook full, who tells the fight, day by die, die, by die, but that's still black five World Silicon CEO group are contracted to run ISO pension centers. They got a five billion dollar tax break of people die of disease and suicide in their center. Where is it fucking stop?

SPEAKER_03

Let's look borders, life from people!

SPEAKER_10

This is not going to be solved by some political know-how, some politicians. We need to fucking have any more debt for the borders in your head! How many more dead for the borders in your head?

SPEAKER_03

Do you feel you try to take a step? Rise in time, race is not just I got to be so better, but I need a straight flare. That's not a lot of petrol in the air. They ain't about to give up. Three million of them everywhere. Nothing is gonna stop them, no they ain't stepping back.

SPEAKER_08

They sat around too long now, it's time to attack You can go, you can go, You can't go, you can go, no definitely no employment Sat around for much too long. Violence is their enjoyment Come on and join the frog. I mean if she's a pain, how much longer will she last?

SPEAKER_03

Next time force of violence, I don't know if we can last You can go, You can go! You can go! You can't go!

SPEAKER_08

That's well I'm retro the air!

SPEAKER_03

They gotta wrap scale up! 3 million of them every way ahead! No man is gonna stop them! No they is stepping back! They sat around the wall now, stacked to a chat! You can go! You can come! You can go! You can go!

SPEAKER_05

Are you ready? Followed by Father Fury and the end of the world from your idol. UK. What a classic phone. Oh ready. Love it. Go over to GameCube and check that out right now. And uh the album single cover, I'm gonna say on the digital, is really good. I really like it. So I highly recommend check it out for that. Alright! Uh wow. Time is flying by. We haven't had time for one or two more sets. This won't be a super long episode. Uh as I'm uh a little sore, so I'm gonna get this done so I can relax for the rest of what was left we have of the weekend. But uh still wanna get some kick-ass tunes out because this kind of music kind of just uh like I always say it's kind of therapy. Makes me feel better. Let's get some frustrations out. So uh one's a new singer is I'm probably gonna butcher his name. From New Zealand we have Dion Lunadin. He currently resides in New York City. Uh this is from his self-titled I Just Received the Vinyl This Week. So it's good stuff. So I hope you enjoy it too. You can play two for him. We're gonna start off with Reduction Agent, right here on the Miss PlaceCon Show.

SPEAKER_03

I got the market I got the market seven, life spread out and ever seven eleven.

unknown

You know that we kill to get it back again out of control and in a house. I made it for you, I made it for you.

SPEAKER_03

So I just get the way you go, you're a man, I'm gonna say that.

SPEAKER_02

Whenever we go into town, we can find out the sound.

SPEAKER_05

We got drugs and attitude We got both them, nothing appropriate, ain't no crime and say what's mine There's nothing here but a criminal vine Motherfucker give me a shit Take what I have, you can't deal with it I'll take everything you have But I'll never give it back Ain't no crime and take what's mine There's nothing here but a criminal mind no crime and take what's mine There's nothing here but a criminal mind There ain't no crime and take what's mine There's nothing here but the fucking criminal mind Criminal mind we started that phone off with two brand new phones from both of them title first reduction agent then we had Ripper I thought what band because he has a very I don't know if I'm the band make me think and uh first one that came to mind was the mannequin where I played Rosita from Sweet of Wood. And it's from Broken Found. I know like when uh Sweet of Wood first came out, I heard Rosita and a couple other phones like over and over again. I called the kind of podcast. Then quickly within a couple months, like they just completely dropped off. Well, here we play them all the time. That is one of my favorite albums. Uh I think it was what two years ago now that it came out. Fucking fantastic. I love it, those guys are great. I will always play them. So Alright, it is time for phase A Zero. They have a split with uh J Prozac, but for some reason and this one thing uh gripe with fame camp. I only got the two songs from Phase A Zero, nothing from Prozac. So weird, kind of annoying. Uh I'm gonna play Windows from Face A Zero, and then I'll play from what I would call like-minded another kind of version of I guess uh I don't know what you might call it. Or I guess you need. Either way, I like it. Uh one from this is the season of you right here on the face of the cold out here without you.

SPEAKER_03

Winter lasts so very long I've got a new car.

SPEAKER_02

I've got a mission Waah, they've got an ambition, and birth in front of us, Gut has got ambition, and maybe I should hide These bullets they are soft like the weakness in your eyes The time's got prepared for the humble thing to die I've got a little gun.

unknown

Whoa! I've got a little gun.

SPEAKER_02

I've got a little bit of God, the mission I got a new skull out of the mission, and we're gonna be fine, I got a new skull mission, and we mission I think I saw like the weakness in your eyes The time's got prepared for the Apple thing to die I've got a discount.

SPEAKER_03

You look to me that my eyes glue, exit, exit, exit wounds, you're up three of my eyes, glue, tell me one more time, you leave ya get me one more time. The reason why so I don't forget, exit exit wounds, you're up to me that my eyes glue, execute exit wounds, you're up three of my all these blue, tell me one more time You gonna leave y'all gay, tell me one more time The reason why so I don't forget to we all need to hold this one more time forget the ones that you're gonna be on the ones selling him something he cannot move as his own grandeur through up so full of shit I think you look like Can't even open his eyes when he chillin' When he's chilling fire that's full of two of it's a curious full of shit I told the trick on that can't even open his eyes when he tells What are you telling you?

SPEAKER_05

I just figured I'd end the show with a little pop punk, cuz why not? Started that set with Spades A Zeros and Seasons of You. That is from their actually, I don't know how many tracks on there. They have two songs, but it's a uh split with Jay Prozac. Uh followed them up with the Prozacs and Nerf Gun Warrior from their EP No Way Out. Followed by Jeff Palmer and Exit Wounds from his Kodak Flash EP. And we finish with Pavot Vermin and Electric Blue Carpet from his I think it's an album. The Beach Boys Never Surfed. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's an album and not a DP. Anyways, uh that'll do it once again for another episode. Uh I hope I don't talk too fast. I've been told I live in the South right now, so I've been told I talk way too fast. Uh it's just the way us Yankees talk. Sorry about that. Um, let's see, as always we are on the socials, Instagram and Facebook mainly. Although, I mean to be fair, Facebook has become kind of a hate group. I mean, every punk I see on there is just complaining about the new bands or just complaining that such and such band, No FX isn't punk enough, Green Day isn't punk enough, blah blah blah. Oh, shut the fuck up. Just enjoy the fucking music and stop whining. Jesus Christ. Go after the ones that actually are assholes. You know? Mr. Linden formerly had the Sex Pistols, we just constantly just this bitter old man who's now basically a Trump supporter. Or uh Graves from uh the Misfits, total fucking right-wing douchebag. Uh, you know, those kind of people are the ones we should be going after, not fucking Green Day. And I I always say, if the first punk band you ever listened to was Blink182, and that's what got you into punk, fucking good on your mate. Fine. Why do we so gatekeeping? I don't know. I don't know. Facebook's kind of annoying. So I try to make our little group not uh gatekeeping. I try to promote bands, try to put stuff I find, some positive pictures of punks around the world that I find off a couple other Facebook groups. So I hope you when you uh go to our group, uh you that's that's kind of the vibe we give off. We're not just angry people bitching about everything. You know, Grandpa Simpsons screaming at whatever, um, screaming at kids get off his lawn. But uh oh, our uh email, we've I mean we still have uh misplacepunk at gmail.com, but if you could try to use uh misplacepunk at proton.me because uh well we all know fucking Google is you know saving all your shit and going through it and trying to use it. No, they're not as nefarious as some other people, but they're trying to sell you shit, trying to promote ads, trying to I mean it's still fucking stupid, and it's still annoying, and it's still invasive, so you know fuck Google. So Proton so far has been pretty good. I've looked at a few others so far. Proton is the best one. They also have uh a drive, just like Google does. They also have their own VPN. Uh try to think of what else. There's a couple other things. Uh, yes, on top of being a punk, I am also a tech nerd. So these kind of things interest me. So if you want uh alternatives to anything else, uh Firefox is a good one, Orion is a good one. I've heard good things about Brave as far as uh you want to get rid of Google Chrome. I've heard it's good. I have it, I haven't used it, but uh I do have it because anytime I see something that's uh open uh open software, I definitely have to check it out. So yeah, because I mean there's nothing less corporate than doing things that anyone can change and fix and add to. Because to me there's nothing more punk than anti-corporatism, anti-capitalism, and all those who think that I don't you cannot be punk and be homophobic, transphobic, racist, all this shit. Fuck off. What is wrong with you? Of course you I mean, it's just duh. Those right-wingers who think they're punk or this the trotting claim that uh Trumpers are somehow or MAGA is somehow punk, fuck off. No, you're not. There's a reason why the Dead Kennedys had a song called Nazi Punks, fuck off. Because it and that's you. That's you. That's the right-wing fascist, yeah. MAGA is fascist, so just fuck off. No, we have no uh room in our group for homophobia, transphobia. I mean even Islamophobia, look, if you don't like, I particularly personally, I do not like religion. I do not hate any person who is trapped in any of those religions at all. Do not hate them as people. That is fucking stupid. We don't do that here. So, anyone is welcome to on our Facebook group. Uh, anyone is welcome to follow me on Instagram. I admit I don't post as much there. I haven't every once in a while I'll go over to Pinterest and find some cool punk art and repost it. Uh one of them has got like a hundred likes, so that's kind of crazy. I mean it's a good fucking piece, so it's really good. Um we do not post to my knowledge, I try not to post anything AI. Uh as far as AI for me, hey, if you want to use it to like I do, to m turn a picture that I took of myself and make myself into a Muppet, that's that's that's the extent of my AI using shit like that. Or I met Sven Gully and I took it and had a picture and I turned that into a picture of where he me and him are both Muppets. But I'm not making money off of that, I'm not selling that, I'm not trying to do anything from it, that's just goofy shit for my benefit. That is it. That's to me, that's what all this shit should be. People who are making music using AI, fuck off. That's not yeah. We all agree that AI is fucked up. Again, AI is a tool, just another tool. The corporations using it are the problem. So all the people, you can hate AI all you want, but let's direct our attention to the corporations building the data center. They're the ones using this as an excuse to lay off workers. Before it was immigrants, and they're still using that. They're still fucking using that same excuse. Just like there's oh my god, we're going back into fucking everyone's a communist now. Okay, sorry. I don't know where the fuck this rat came from. Um sorry about that. Uh yeah. I sort of what the fuck happened? I have no idea. This fucking training went off the rails big time. So, uh I'm still I have no time. It's really gonna be I really want to do a Patreon because I wanna be able to uh get supporters and then I can buy way more albums, um, a lot more music because there's so many bands that have so much fucking music that they've put out that I have even I have not even scratched the surface of all the shit that's out there from all these bands. So I would like to get their uh vinyls their 7 inches, their 12 inches, all that shit. Support them. At some point, I would like to put out my own compilation, like a mixtape, because I have uh I don't think I have one in here, but I have two cassettes in my car. Very good, they're uh from the I want to say the early 80s, early 90s, but they're punk music cassettes, great stuff. I have like uh New York dolls and uh The Clash, of course, and all the shit on there. I like to do something similar to that. So any band who is uh interested in being on a little mixtape, I would put it out on Bandcamp for free, or uh what is it, pay what you want, and then all proceeds would go to like the Humane Society or something like that. But that's cool. Uh let me know, get in touch with me at uh, of course, misplacepunk at proton.me if you're interested. I'm gonna leave you with uh kind of a sad one because it uh would have been Jimmy Cliff's birthday on the 30th of last month. Unfortunately, he passed last uh November, I believe. Great singer. What I can tell is just a great person. So I'm gonna this will be the only song that's not found on Bandcamp. Uh this is from my collection. This is uh the title track to his album Refugees, which I believe came out in 22. Something like that, night uh 1922, yeah. 2022. So I hope you enjoy it. Uh makes up for my little fucking crazy rant here. So as always, you've been listening to the Miss Place Punk Show, and I have been your host, Brody. Have a great fucking week.

SPEAKER_00

Listen, I'm a fool G, that's a refugee. My family peddled through the seas, made it through day, but the night is calling. Load on their back like when camels walking. We gon' make it through the odds. Every day that we live as blessing in disguise. Do unto others as you would have done it to you. Listen, that's just the word from the wise. We live for the faith, but we doubtin' the truth. Cause the proof only shows that you care about you, about us. If you really do give us the sign, we got women and children at the borderline. Jimmy Cliff told me there's many rivers to cross. Came to help them or cover the cause.

SPEAKER_07

Listen that Jesus Christ went to Egypt, for refuge. Listen, the Israelites cross the Red Sea for refugees. Prophet Muhammad sent his followers to Ethiopia for refugees. People running here and there, looking for a hole. Seeking to be free, rescue cheese looking for safety, rescue cheese on all of this land. Reduc is a helping hand. Well, couldn't they be someone like you and me? There was an exit dust from Europe to America. Now there's an exit dust from the Middle East to Europe. Yes, there's an exit dust from Africa to Europe. People running here and there looking for a hole. It's a helping hand. Well, the beast someone likes you and be the Running from Steph and St.

SPEAKER_03

Refuge, seeking a better life. From sea to sea. Rappuck to be free. Well, to the beat someone like you and you.
