Let's go. You have to take the protest I am Don't you have anything to protest in what's bigger shit to say I am taking that Alright Punks, drunks, and skunks.
SPEAKER_00Turn that sound up loud enough for the neighbors to hear. This is the Misplaced Punk Show with your host Brody. So grab a beer and let's go.
SPEAKER_10Fuck off, overproducer by Martin Hannett. Take a four.
SPEAKER_16What let you think?
SPEAKER_12Alright, it's that time once again to listen to more ramblings and rantings of Brody, your host of the Misplaced Punk Show. Uh I don't know. I don't know. That's just uh what popped in my head. Uh how's everyone's week been? Uh I know it's uh it's a long, it's always a long week when you work five days a week and you only get two days off. I know in other countries uh you work less hours. I know they're trying to push for a 32-hour work week here. I I would love to see that happen, but uh I'm not, you know, hopeful that it'll happen. I guess my hopes are pretty pretty fucking low that ever happening here. Hence, I'm trying to get the fuck out. Uh I have a meeting tomorrow with a uh I guess a hiring manager if you want, might want to call him from Europe, so we'll see how that goes. I don't know which country I'd want to move to more. I mean, every there's so many countries that have perks that I would love. France, 35-hour work week. Uh, Amsterdam, well, I mean the Netherlands, but Amsterdam is where the job specific is. Uh, the bike culture, the carless cities that you know you can actually walk around in and feel safe. Germany, with I mean, they have a good biking culture there. And good food, good beer, good travel. So, yeah. I don't know where you are in the world, but I may be heading your way soon, which may or may not be a good thing for you. Um yeah, so let's get right into it. I do have at least that I can think of when you banned this episode. Um we started off. Our intro this week was from Grim Dean with Don't Make Me Think. Uh Pretty sure that's the uh the MAGA model there. And we started off with, of course, Dead Kennedy and Nazi punk fuck off. Alright, start with how I ended the last episode of my little rant. Um, because if you are a punk, you cannot be a Nazi. You cannot be homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic. We are inclusive. We don't give a fuck who you are, what your background is. The music brings us all together. I remember, oh I don't even remember what it's called now, but there was a documentary, it was a while ago, where it is basically Muslim uh punk. There's uh a really good band. Shit, I don't even remember what's I need to look that up again and re-watch it. And I had that uh band that had a music for a while. I don't know what happened to my CE. I will definitely play them on here. Great band. We don't give a fuck. The attitude, the whole punk aesthetic, that's what we are. We are inclusive! So if you're not inclusive, you might be in the wrong fucking podcast. You're in the wrong scene, my friend. So, as they just said, fuck off. Yeah, let's get into it. Um I don't know why, but I'm in a hardcore kind of mood for this first set. Start off with what I think is one of the most underrated hardcore bands, because I don't hear them talk about enough. I remember really loving them back in in the day. I think it was uh one thing from one of the punkarama compilations. Uh we're gonna start off with H2O and one of the longest uh song titles, Don't Forget the Struggle! Don't forget the street.

SPEAKER_12If I had a talk show which would be kind of cool a on cardcore talk show uh Total Massacre would be my house band. I mean could there be anyone better currently? I don't think so uh they would yeah that would be perfect but uh we don't really have what was that that fuck fake uh punk rock NBA douchebag ended up being a complete fake which we should have known I kind of figured out when uh fatmic asked him the best uh ska punk band and he said sublime what the fuck kind of answer is that nobody in their right mind is gonna say Sublime is the greatest uh ska punk band. Obviously uh fat mic got it right Operation Ivy doesn't get any better than that uh yeah I mean go me don't get me wrong I I like some of uh Sublime songs I like their vibe they had a more uh more reggae kind of vibe to them I kind of dug that but I don't know uh I don't know if you've noticed or heard I'm wrong. But some of the members, former members or whatever the fuck you want to call them, or the roam left. And apparently now they're MAGA or one over two of 'em are MAGA. So if they are fuck 'em. If not, stop saying shit about 'em. Um I don't know if you like, I hope they're not like did like long what is it? Long beach. Long beach dub off card. It's pretty interesting. Don't I'm not gonna play it. Don't worry about it. Uh yeah. I won't be playing Sublime. I might play some Operation Ivy, but I will not play Sublime. But anyways that little another rant. Let's get right into our next set, because it is summertime. I have not played enough of these from RTT records from the Ramones Core. They have uh three volumes I think out of check. Maybe there's a fourth I don't think there is there is I don't have it. They're called Summer Feelings. Uh I'm gonna start off with Teenage Glue Sniffers and Smell of Summer.

All those were uh Summer Feelings Volume 2 for pretty um RP record. Alright, uh you know what's keep this kind of feel good by going uh with some get in drive in.

SPEAKER_12Then we had atomic jellyfish and counter track from their album Stuck in LA. Followed up by School Damage and some people actually like their job from the No Love EP and finished with, of course, No Effect. That was Golden Boys from Never Trust AP. Alright, speaking of new bands, I got two for you right now. I'm gonna take two from each. Start off with one that this is the problem I have with uh Facebook and Messenger. I went to my uh Uh, we call it Wait or Message Request, I guess. And this band was here. I almost missed them. I just happened to look glad I did. This is Amongst Strangers. They are from the UK. Really good stuff. I think you're really gonna love both these songs. Gonna start off with propaganda. You're listening to this case on the show.
SPEAKER_13Where it's out of prophecy, where it's outside propaganda, taking all your mammariness. I won't be your paper hand, I won't be your procreation. Try to full my train for fitness and fuck it. Forget the spreadsheet to mix up with profit. Forget the spreadsheet like it to mix up with first profit. Forget the spreads I like it, to fix up with the first profit. Forget the spreadsheet like it to fix up with profit on script, progress for your dreams. What's it feel like through? What they are fucking, what the co-prece. Try to fall by streams, but they just fuck it.
unknownKnowing it's accountable with something ever last. Fit so only, it's in our hands. Take it all the screens and make it ever fast.
SPEAKER_13We're electric and low late. I got the phone, it's cracked it, stupid.
unknownWe're electric and low life. I got the phone, it's cracked it, stupid.
SPEAKER_06We're electric and only I got the phone, it's practiced too fast. We're electric and lonely. I got the phone extracted, too fast.
SPEAKER_13Where is the trick? No one's dead. Distracted with phone drops on the road. We're electric lowly, fake up the phone, it distracted to fifty.
SPEAKER_06We're electric floating, fake up the phone, it distracted to fifty five. We're electric lowly, fake out the phone, it distracted too fast. We're electric lowly, fake out the phone and distracted too fast.
unknownI don't think it's fighting too fast. I kept the fall, it's like it's too fake. I kept the fall, it's fine, it's too fake.
SPEAKER_08There's a place where the kids are used to be a little bit more. She's something else got no, she's a one in a million dollars But she don't understand the way that I feel when she stands so close to me And I can't take it all things I want for us to be both Sometimes I lie away when I think I'm around you from my room that she just walked on back But I know she knows you a man I can't wait to download how to get down the buttons Alright now, she looks so wrong, she's not like a girl She seem so much like me But I don't know where she went to She don't so confuse you I love her she's gonna see you Okay so technically new band Technically Okay My brain is not prepared for work all I gotta say Uh we started off with two from Among Strangers Propaganda and Electric Loneliness both from our album Strength of a Q Then we had two from the surf trio first we had Master Beat and then we had Hugh Good from the Almost So that comes out on the 24th or three five available right now.
SPEAKER_12Um interesting history, I'm gonna just pull that up real real quick. It was actually released in 1986. Uh the crazy thing is it was proof and engineered by Brett Irwin. Of course, this is then the guitarist from Bad Religion. Um yeah, I don't it's kinda weird to hear his name. I mean I mean I like all this music, so I guess it's not too crazy to think that uh the guitarist from Bad Religion would be interested in surf punk, but uh or surf punk. Rod surf rock I don't know what the fuck the genre is because of blend rot rock and surf rock in one. Anyways, that was pretty uh area correct record out of Pizza Italy. Uh right here we care about reissue of old records, no more available or unissued as well as re-recording, recorded for band, on activities with editing alike hours. I love that. Um I will be you know looking through their catalog. That was the newest one. Uh they also have one from last month, and one from every month. Uh this year. Uh they do have it on vinyl if you wish to get that. Just remember, the reason why I didn't buy it. Uh shipping is yeah, it will fucking drive you crazy. Right now, uh, what was it? I think shipping is like $20. So the uh the vinyl is $25 plus $22 basically for shipping in the US. So yeah, that's why I did not get it at this point. Maybe if I ever get my fucking Patreon up and running, uh I can afford to buy some of these records and have them flip over from Europe. Or if everything goes good tomorrow, I might be in Europe at some point, so I can just fucking buy them. But uh for some reason I'm in a surf punk, surf rock, whatever mood right now. So I'm gonna continue right now with the next set with one of my favorites, the Riptide Rats. And this is Rumble and Waikiki right here on the Space Punk Show!
SPEAKER_06I don't like that surf shot.
SPEAKER_12Oh, now that I'm thinking, I cannot remember the last time I actually played for Rock. Yeah, it's been a while, definitely. But it is still summer, so it is a perfect time to play uh more laid back, relaxing kind of kind of music. So I will be playing more in the uh upcoming episodes, if that's okay. Uh we still do have basically two months left of summer. Uh hopefully not two months left of this uh city heat, but uh right now I'm looking at it, it's 90 degrees right now where I am at, which yeah, but I'm sure where you're at might be a lot hotter. I know Europe has having a really tough summer, so we are with you guys. Hang in there. Uh we'll make it through. Um, anyways, we started that off with the Riptide Rat. And Rumble and White EP from the uh Eastwood EP. Follow them up with the meteorite with the creature. Follow them up with uh Clipper and the Evolution Surf School with There is Always Tomorrow from our album. That is a two song of the same Tucson EP of the same name. Uh we're back to uh Summer Feelings Volume 3.
SPEAKER_06Start off with the Beaters Band and Don't Worry Baby, right here on this place on the show Well, it's a bit enough inside me for I don't know I know I don't know why, but I think think it's something about me to go wrong Well, she looks in my eyes And let me say Don't read me Everything within the okay Don't repeat me I guess I should come in on my show and I start too grab it by my car But I can get down Because I push it at you She makes me come alone And make me want to draw the sheep Don't worry baby Everything is in all right Don't worry baby She told me baby When you rest today Just take care of what we do And if you know I'm not sure of you baby Cool we do Oh what she told you When she made up to me Don't she say Don't worry baby Everything within your alright Don't worry baby Everything with you all right Don't worry baby Don't worry baby Don't worry baby is another pot a little up away from that rock But I got a problem with City Click in the house I don't video into my drunk I did a natural eye I don't need a girl to do my laundry smell of shit just so I'll let you know you work hard so just a ride round your soul died I can't stop it somewhere else.

Followed them up with social distortion and no way out from your latest going to kill and finish with the stranglers and burning up time for no more heroes. Alright, that'll do it once again for another episode of The Misplaced Time Show. Hope you enjoyed it. Uh if you're interested in the uh the last at least volume three of Summer Feelings has a hundred different bands and songs on it, so it's definitely worth giving them a little money so you can uh listen to it anytime you want. Good stuff, bunch of different styles on that. But uh most of them are in the multi core kind of uh I don't know, I don't know, pop punk. I don't know, there's so many different Genres are some genres now that it's hard to keep up. Good stuff, I still like it. Um I thought on the social Facebook and Instagram. Uh right.me and just clickpunk at gmail.com. But uh I think I prefer Proton because they do not cracking like I don't know what the hell is wrong with people, but yeah, they'll be cracking more and more than you probably uh get more worth. So I'm gonna switch over as much as I can do Proton. If anyone else knows a better one, if not obviously that can be, because why not?
