9/6/24- "Into the Deep"- Jonah 2

Jonah hits bottom in depths in the belly of a beast. There he turns back to God and is delivered. 
There is a tension we feel whenever we find ourselves at odds with God’s will for our lives. On the one hand we know we need Him and the life He has called us into (and we know it’s a good life). On the other hand we all wrestle with wanting life on our terms versus God’s terms. It’s easy to let a sense of entitlement determine how we will respond to God’s calling on our lives. Humility is the step that leads us back onto the path of experiencing God’s good will for our lives.
