Ready to transform your spring? Join Melissa and Simone as they unpack the essential hot girl habits that will elevate your season from ordinary to extraordinary.
Melissa kicks things off with her marathon training journey, highlighting both the physical challenges and mental discipline required—a perfect metaphor for the transformation spring offers us all. Meanwhile, Simone shares her weekend adventures in Dubai, complete with a cautionary tale about Prosecco-induced hangovers that will have you laughing in solidarity.
The heart of this episode revolves around practical ways to refresh your life this season. From the therapeutic power of decluttering your space (and watching that stagnant energy disappear) to crafting intentional morning and evening routines, the hosts offer actionable advice that doesn't require a complete lifestyle overhaul. Simone's evening ritual of gratitude journaling on her balcony might just be the inspiration you need to create your own mindfulness practice.
We also tackle a juicy listener dilemma about whether to pursue a promising new relationship or revisit an ex who suddenly reappeared looking better than ever. Our unfiltered advice navigates the messy reality of attraction, history, and self-respect—perfect for anyone caught in a dating crossroads.
The most powerful takeaway? The absolute necessity of a positive mindset. As Simone puts it, "You have to believe in yourself. If you keep doubting yourself or constantly saying nothing ever goes my way, you're never gonna get it." It's the Bougie Blondes podcast with Melissa and Simone, available on Spotify, Apple or wherever you get your podcasts. Now let's get bougie. Hi, I'm Melissa. Hi, I'm Simone. Our podcast is serving you, bestie vibes.
Speaker 2:We are just two country girls chatting about all things we struggle with in daily life.
Speaker 1:And, of course, talking about certain issues that some people are afraid to speak about. We give it to you real, while having crack along the way. Remember, these are just our opinions, gals, so don't take us too seriously. We're just giving you some best friend advice. Welcome, welcome everyone to the beauty blonde podcast. I hope these are all doing well. So we've landed in spring in ireland. Anyway, I know it's hot over there in dubai at the moment. What is the weather over there at the moment? Is that really hot?
Speaker 2:it's gone up to like 28 degrees. Yeah, it's not too bad, but I think it reached like in its 30s at the weekend when I was at the races wearing a long black dress. Thank god we were indoors in a box, because if I was standing outside in that, I'm telling you it's given a minute have you adjusted to the weather, like have you adjusted to the heat, or are you still an irish girl?
Speaker 2:no, don't get me wrong. Like I definitely have adjusted, but I just don't think like the human body can adjust to how hot it gets here, like in june. Like it's just ridiculous, genuinely yeah.
Speaker 1:Like you could walk outside your apartment door and you're literally just right like a fried egg sizzle sausages on the van well, I'm in deep in marathon training and I'm slightly like scared because obviously, like I really only had four weeks to properly train, because like I know I've been running right, I haven't like proper, proper put in a plan to do the marathon, because there's things in the way that, like I just never properly planned it. But Simone is spicy.
Speaker 2:I can only imagine. I'm scared. No, you'll be absolutely fine. If anyone can do it, you can do it like not a shadow in my mind doubts you, but you know what like I can't comprehend in my brain how people do a full martin like wow mental. I know like I'd love to be fair, I'd love to get into running, but I'm going through like a little bit of like the start of pcos. So they say not to do like high intensity workouts, yeah, like just like steps, weight lifting, like that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1:So I am kind of afraid to put myself under that type of pressure because it is a lot of stress on the body. Like, do you know?
Speaker 2:what I mean that's.
Speaker 1:That's why a lot of runners do kind of take winter months off, because I know the weather obviously doesn't help over here. But it is good to like not run as well for a couple of weeks, a couple of months. You don't mean to let your body kind of recover like from it because it is intense.
Speaker 1:No, well, I can only imagine how like it impacts your body, like yeah, constantly, and the lengths and the time, like like I think this week I have to do another 10k tomorrow, I have to do a speedy 5k on thursday, friday up to 15k or no sunday up to 15k, and I think I have to do another like 12k on friday, in one week all I say to you is prayer play girl like, give me your energy, your motivation, send it all my way this is oh, I'm just now.
Speaker 1:Hopefully we finish the race and yeah, that's. You see, I'm terrible competitive with myself, like I'll be, like no, I have to get it done at this time but that's a good way to be like it is.
Speaker 2:You're literally stepping into spring I like it or running into spring, yeah running into spring yes, love it. I'm stepping around here yeah, love it.
Speaker 1:Running into spring. I think let's just keep that on repeat now. When I'm running like some more time, we me running into spring, running into spring. We step nowhere. We run, we run, we don't step. Yeah, absolutely. Um, but now I'm having issues with varicose veins. I don't know if you've seen my story oh really yeah.
Speaker 1:So I've always had varicose veins in my right leg from standing as a make-bears and like at the end of the day of, like, say, a long day of me doing a wedding or anything they would like I'd have like tired leg syndrome does that make sense? And they'd be very hot to touch and I'd have to lie down right just to like elevate them. But oh my god, I don't know what happened this week. They are on full flare-up like chronic pain in my legs, like I had to get what are those granny compression socks like the manky? Yeah, I had to, like I had to wear in bed last night. Like I'm just gone old. What's wrong with me?
Speaker 2:those like compression things in the gym around your area you can go in and like are you on about the recovery boot?
Speaker 1:yeah, I used to, um, yeah, I used to use them a while, but I may actually buy them. They're actually so expensive.
Speaker 2:They're like fucking 600 or something do they not have access to them in, like a local gym or anything?
Speaker 1:no, it's, it's carol, we're in simone oh my god, do you know what?
Speaker 2:I signed up to the gym here like about two weeks ago, and it has absolutely everything, like everything in there, like you can just sit there after your workout, going for an ice bath really why can't we have?
Speaker 1:something like this around yeah, it's so needed, so needed backwards yeah, like I know, up in nate they do have like a recovery room, what you're speaking out like they have the booth and they have like some like cool thing and ice bath, but like we need something local around car, local kenny. So if there's any gym owners listening to this, now you have a market recovery room outside your gym that people can pay to go into because it's needed. 100 especially with the increase. I feel like a lot more people are running nowadays, do you know? I mean a lot more people are like doing more cardiovascular fitness and stuff. Do you know? So like it's so needed, you know? Yeah, good, shout out. You know I have the granny socks very attractive, I have to say and I had to order like nice cute ones for running. So like, if you see me running with long pink socks, you know it's because I have varicose veins.
Speaker 1:So set up a new trend girl yeah, I could do like a styling thing for every like running outfit of like running with my compression socks might as well make a sandwich. Well, how was your weekend?
Speaker 2:it was so good. You know, like literally only for, like we're inside. I probably would have dreaded like standing outside in the heat like, but because we're in, like a box of work and stuff like that was so handy. But I just I don't drink champagne or Prosecco ever like ever, and I feel like I just went to town on it like I just overindulged, like left here at like I think it was half three and I got in at four o'clock in the morning like I would drink prosecco out of a dirty farmer's welly, like love it.
Speaker 1:Oh my god that I would indulge it down. It doesn't even be swallowed. I you're not like prosecco like or you just don't ever drink.
Speaker 2:I just feel like the drunkenness that I get off. It is just beyond measures. And like this weekend, ushuaia is on. It's like proper Ibiza vibes and I'm like I need.
Speaker 1:I actually need a day off it's hard, like I do feel like the hangovers to just get worse, especially when you're in, like when you're working all the time. You know what I mean, and it's it's hard to keep going. But the Prosecco drunk is like that, like, yes, la, forget about life, and then you just don't realize even how drunk you are and what time it is. And, yeah, I get it the bubbles. You see, it's the bubbles and the heat. That's what happens to me everything.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm like literally a walking volcano ready to projectile vomit.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I do. I do love it so much, I just drink too. I think it just goes down too quick. That's the problem, like. And then you're like oh, you're in too deep, then my thing is as well.
Speaker 2:I can't eat and drink at the same time. I genuinely can't do it, and like there's a meal there whatever. And I was like no, can't, I just genuinely can't do it.
Speaker 1:See, I can if there's a food from run to me, I would eat it. Now, like I know, a lot of people are like that, thought they can't eat and drink at the same time, but I probably would.
Speaker 2:Yeah no, honestly, like I will physically be ill. And then that morning, like I went to the gym, came home I had a protein shake and then nothing else. So like, yeah, natural, hold on, now let's let's rewind back to simone's timeline.
Speaker 1:You're in the half over. What time did you fucking go to the gym?
Speaker 2:no, I I. Saturday morning I went to the gym and then I only had a protein, okay, and then you went out.
Speaker 1:Sure, no wonder. Then I thought you got in a four and you went to the gym the next morning.
Speaker 2:I was like hello girl yesterday I did not like I don't know what comes through. My head got up, showered, cleaned whatever, done my hair, done my makeup and all these plans gonna go to the mall. I was like, absolutely, I've never felt a hangover like it in my life and you don't have a did you have a headache? When I'm hung over, I will go to the gym, so me and prosecco are absolutely done maybe that's why I get bad hangovers, then, is it?
Speaker 1:it's kind of like that real heady feeling, isn't it?
Speaker 2:yeah, horrid, horrid.
Speaker 1:I'm going through a bit of a crisis we had a booty blonde hung over in dubai this weekend bye bye, prosecco, you're not my friend anymore.
Speaker 1:Just breathe. Melissa and simone are here to listen. So on this week's juicy, dodgy jammers dilemma, we have hey, booty blondes. I need your help. So my girls and I went out for a much needed night out. Heels on drinks, flowing, the whole perfect. The whole vibe was perfect. I was feeling myself and I started chatting with this gorgeous guy like 10 out of 10, tall, funny, exactly my type. We were totally hitting it off. But then, plot twist, my ex walks in, and not just any ex, the ex, the one who broke my heart twice, disappeared and then had the audacity to glow up Like why does he look so good? Now I'm stuck in the ultimate dilemma do I focus on this new amazing guy or do I make my ex suffer a little by showing him what he's lost? My besties are split. One is telling me to forget the ex and go for the new hottie. The other is saying a little revenge. Flirt never hurts anyone and honestly, I'm kind of torn. So what's the right move here?
Speaker 2:help me out that's spicy you know, what it's a hard one, because I feel like when you're so in love and deep with someone on that level and the connection is there yeah, they break your heart or whatever, it's very hard to move on. But I do feel like, after a certain amount of time, a man just seems to run back. It may take three or six months. It takes a girl maybe two months or whatever to move on.
Speaker 1:Yeah to say that.
Speaker 2:But with men it's completely and utterly different. They're loving the free spirit, the free time but they always come back.
Speaker 1:They say it's always. They always come back when it's too late, like what you said. The girl has gone to the grieving process and then they come back. So I don't know, like, obviously, if she wants to even have the flirty banter, there's still obviously a connection there that she obviously feels for him. I don't know, like Simone, like ex twice she said so like I don't know.
Speaker 2:Can people change? Yeah, like, I personally don't think so. Like twice okay Rebound if it's the first time, but a second time going back there? I just personally, in my opinion, don't think it's a good idea.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's not like once bitten, twice shy, do you know what I mean? And as well, like I think if she starts like focusing on the new relationship, she's going to like automatically make the other guy kind of jealous anyway, because I think if she's gonna, if she goes our way to try make the ex jealous, it's nearly going to come across like I feel like he's going to know, like it's going to be a bit like oh, I kind of still have her where she just actually focuses on ourselves, on the new relationship. Like automatically the guy is going to be like oh god, like you know, I'm still attracted to her, but which would? It might mean that he might try like pursue you again, but I think I don't know it's not really fair on the new guy either. Though, if you are still kind of like want to go down that route, you know what I mean. Yeah, I feel like you have to be all in or not in with the new guy, you know maybe it's just like she still has them feelings for him.
Speaker 2:Hmm, but like, because when you love someone it's very hard to kind of get over it. Yeah, but she could just have this sexual physical attraction to the other guy. Now she's stuck in a rut yes, I get what you mean yes, I get what you mean.
Speaker 1:So she's torn between like the sexual attraction and then like the proper, like deep, deep love within her, like it's a little bit toxic. I'm not going to be toxic, isn't it? Yeah, I don't know really what to say to this one.
Speaker 2:I'm a bit like no, me, in my opinion. I definitely would like try your best to see how it goes with the new one. Um, because you're just going back and I feel like sometimes the universe just puts you in these situations to test you, to test you and keep putting you in these situations until you cop on to yourself yeah, I, yeah, I think I agree with that as well.
Speaker 2:I do agree with that, I do think and that's the same with everything in life, especially in that situation. I just think test the waters, see how it goes. He's always going to be there, like if he still has that love for you and the connection is there, like he will be there yeah but don't ruin a good thing like, don't lose your husband, a future husband, over a man that probably just wants to see if he can get you back to boost his own ego yeah you know.
Speaker 1:So do you think? Our advice is then focus on the new guy for a couple of weeks and see how it goes, and then, if it goes well, dump the ex, and if it doesn't well, then you can kind of go back, maybe, to the ex, just to get out your system. I don't know, maybe a little bit, yeah yeah I think so. This is a toxic situation.
Speaker 2:You need to keep us posted. You need to keep us updated in the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 1:Keep us posted so for our little topic of the week, we have hot girls habits for spring. As Simone said, we are running into spring.
Speaker 1:And I know you're more in your summer. But look, new habits chapter. You know well what should I say. It's like the with spring. It's like new beginnings, so hot girl habits for spring, so I love doing this. Like this obviously came from somewhere. With spring, it's like new beginnings, so hot girl habits for spring, so I love doing this. Like this obviously came from somewhere. Like a good spring clean. Like when you, when you get into your house, declutter everything, fuck out all the clothes.
Speaker 1:There is something so like I don't know, like a weight lifted off your shoulder when you do that, isn't there definitely a hundred percent, yeah, there really is it's like they say that, though that, like your, your house collects like bad energy, like so I feel like when you like declutter things, it's like you're just releasing all this like stagnant energy, like decluttering mind.
Speaker 2:I personally have to do it, but I think I need to do it like every two or three weeks. I just need to like get rid of it.
Speaker 1:I just feel cleansed.
Speaker 1:But in spring it's just nice to kind of clear out all the toxicity yeah, I feel like I need to get into my bedroom this week and just like go through all my clothes, even like do you know even things where you have like drawers full of like bottles of tan and stuff, and just like, yeah, I know what to shut out, because I think I've actually so many bottles of tan that like it's probably nearly gone out of date. You know like I'd like I just need to get in and like get rid of products and just full-on, like in a full 24 hours, just to like declutter.
Speaker 2:Yeah yeah, I get that, though, but you know what? It's actually a good thing if I was still at home. Do you know the letters that come through the door, like them, stupid letters, and you think they're so like important or whatever? My drawer literally be full of them and I'll keep them and keep them and keep them built up. Yeah, I'm so bad at doing it, and then I just get so stressed and overwhelmed and you're going through them all. You're like do I need to keep this one? Do I need to keep that one?
Speaker 1:it actually stresses me out yeah, I hate all that side of things, though, like anything with documents, I'm like yeah, just put it in an email yeah, I just can't.
Speaker 1:It's like I just get I don't know, like I don't know. I just can't, I just can't comprehend. It's like I just don't have time to read that. Now I'm just send an email like why are you sending me letters? Do you know what I mean? I feel like a letter is always like worrying or something I know, isn't it? There's something like toxic about a letter. Oh, cutting out toxic energy we are all here for that. And this is another one right, digital detox. So you can unfollow, mute or block people with love. So if you need to like declutter, like your news feed and your social media, do you think that's a good thing to do?
Speaker 2:yeah, definitely like I, to be fair, like I don't really like unfollow if I'm being honest, like unless, like it's something that's just irrelevant in my life. Yeah, you know that kind of way or yeah, whatever. But I'm being honest, like unless like it's something that's just irrelevant in my life. Yeah, you know that kind of way or whatever.
Speaker 2:But I'm just like, yeah, okay, Just share the love, like whatever it may be, yeah, but I do feel like sometimes, like with people and stuff like that, you do like not out of like hate, but you just need to kind of remove people and situations in your life, um, and I think it's like the best time to do it.
Speaker 1:I'm more about like I actually like I wouldn't be going on following like people, like I went to school and stuff, but like I'd be more on following like celebrities or like do you know, like those kind of like maybe some brand pages or things like that Like I feel like I just I just don't need to be seeing it every day. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, I think it is a good thing as well, just to kind of the social media definitely has a big impact on your mental health, though.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know that kind of way, like you're looking at other people constantly and like we always say it, like you're only seeing the little snippets of someone's day it's not someone's full day and then you're automatically thinking like, oh my god, like, yeah, my life is shit you can train your algorithm to like send you stuff that you actually want to see.
Speaker 1:You know, like mine is just full of calf videos because, like it obviously gets used to you liking things. Well, like there is like this. I started doing it where it's like, even if ads and stuff pop up, you're like not interested, not interested, not interested. So you can kind of start to train the algorithm to like what you want to see. So, like, definitely, my algorithm in the last like couple of weeks is a lot more like positive, more affirmations, you know like fitness things or obviously my fashion girlies that I follow, like it's like a mix. Do you know? Yeah, so it's like things I want to see, do you know? So you can like train it.
Speaker 1:You know level up routines, so a morning ritual so we could have some like ice rollers, gratitude journaling, so like my morning routine is kind of like I do try to adjust it. So recently I've started to like have my glass of water and then I will say some like positive. I might put on positive affirmation music or something like that while I'm getting ready. So like everyone's morning routine is going to be different and I think you have to adapt it to yourself. So, like I do think, if you are listening to this podcast, sit down with a pen and paper and literally, like, write out what you want your morning routine to be. Yeah, do you have the same one every day, or would you kind of adapt your morning routine?
Speaker 2:I'm definitely a creature of habit. I'm not going like I've been doing kind of the same similar thing every morning. I need to listen to my affirmations when I'm doing my makeup, like I'll repeat it, when I'm doing it in the mirror, whatever it may be go to the gym, come home, have water. My thing that I think that I may need to fix is like I'll go to the gym at like five or six in the morning and I won't be able to eat physically until like after 11. I just genuinely can't do it.
Speaker 2:I feel, since I'm younger, like I just I'm like I'm just not a morning person for eating and I feel like it's something that maybe I need to start like switching up a little bit, like even if it's like just a banana or something yeah, or a slice of toast or something, would you? Be able to yeah but in the, in the evening, what I actually like doing. Before I go to bed, I take my yoga mat out on my balcony and I write down my affirmations and what I'm grateful for in the day. Oh, I love that, simone.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I'm really after getting into it like the last couple of months, but like I used to do it kind of once a week, but now I'm kind of doing it every night and would you do like would you just do like points, or would you actually just kind of like, do it more of like a journal in format?
Speaker 2:I do it kind of in points, because I'm like, if I do it in journal format, like I'm just sat there writing and writing yeah, because I'm looking back on it. Then, like when I look back on like the affirmations or the manifestations or whatever, like it's kind of like being able to take them off yeah, I get instead. Of having to run down through the whole thing yeah but I feel like it motivates me for the next day yeah, I like that.
Speaker 1:I may start doing that. I say it all the time like don't get me wrong, like sometimes I will say it in my head like what I'm grateful for, but I do think you're right that to actually set out the time and make the space to sit down and write them down is such a good habit to get into. Yeah, so I think I need to take on that and start doing that. See like we're just inspiring each other now.
Speaker 2:Yeah, because I do feel like something could go wrong during the day. We're human, like you're gonna have ups and downs within the day, do you know what I mean? But we're always so formatted into like reaching towards the negative instead of like the positive things yeah, so would you then even like?
Speaker 1:look back on your whole day before you go to bed yeah and like that, if there's a bad situation, like, try to take like something that maybe you've learned from that situation, that you're grateful for yeah, I like that.
Speaker 1:That's really good. I need to start doing that. I need to like get into a better nighttime routine, because I feel like my nighttime routine is just so all over the place where I'm really good at morning routines, but my nighttime routine is a bit like dodge, so I'm liking that I'm just like I actually don't even have like I'm up at five, go to the gym.
Speaker 2:From the gym I go to work, then not home until like the evening time, like I don't actually just sit like.
Speaker 1:So I'm just constantly go, go, go, go, go, where it's nice to be able to just sit down, turn your phone off for at least 20 minutes and just write down things yeah, it is like yeah, so as you said as well, like turn off your phone, put on, do not disturb, and just like sit out and just kind of put down the points and have a cup of tea, even, or something like that yeah yeah, I love that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm definitely going to do that, okay, so this is another thing for our hot girl, spring is workouts, so trying pilates, hot girl walks by the river or canal, or just putting on a matching gym set for cute vibes. I do feel like when you have a cute fucking gym set, you're just like a different person. You are, aren't you and I don't sound so materialistic, but I don't care. It does like it just puts you in better form. You're, you want it. It like nearly encouraged you to go out for a walk, or just even you just feel good in yourself. Yeah, you do like, I don't know, like some people like, oh, my god, that's so stupid. I don't care if it's stupid. Like, if you want to go on a cute gym set and just get out for a walk, in like nice sunny weather on your sunglasses and put on a podcast heaven, do you know?
Speaker 1:I mean like you do you like? That is hot girl spring. So next one's so important you know I'm gonna hype on about this is our spf is non-negotiable in this irish weather. So, please, everyone, wear SPF. You know I'm like obsessed with SPF, do you know? I noticed, though, since I started running right, even though, like I'm wearing SPF 50, like every single morning I wear SPF 50, but since I started running, and even like I've been running in the winter I've noticed, at the very top of my hairline I'm getting starting to all my pigmentation is coming back, even though I'm wearing spf.
Speaker 2:It's because I'm running and the sweat is like, obviously like coming off yeah, so I'm a devil, though, like I wear makeup and I won't put anything on my skin because I'm like, oh, I need a tan, I can't wear fake tan, I need a tan and I, genuinely I, I won't do it, like I just I won't do it like there'll be like a low factor, a very low factor, and even though I'm only out on it on a Saturday, like I work indoors yeah, would you wear it on? Your face though.
Speaker 1:I wear it under my makeup. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, that's the most important. Yeah, I know the body obviously is important as well, but I feel like you need to put on your face, like because that's like the wind gets it, like you know, air con, everything is just hitting your face, you know that kind of way. But yeah, like it's just just, it's sometimes SPF in the body. Gotta keep the wrinkles away. Yeah, spf for your body. It can really sometimes like melt and like I don't know. There was one SPF I used on my body and nearly turned like oil in the sun. Do you know where? It's? Like you're sticky and you feel smelly. So you have to really find a good SPF for your body. Like that's not going to like just feel rotten that you need a shower after.
Speaker 2:Do you know that kind of way? But then I saw this thing actually as well, that like when you wear factors, sometimes it depends what what factor it is, but it's attracting the sun.
Speaker 1:More to to your skin really, yeah, strange.
Speaker 2:So you have to really look into detail about what you're putting on your body. Yeah, is it maybe certain chemicals or yeah?
Speaker 1:yeah, it's probably maybe ones of certain chemicals and it can actually attract it more. So you probably do really have to do your research and buy like quality SPF maybe. Yeah, interesting, okay, we have for hot girl spring switch up your style. So I think that's really nice though, for spring, like I think I feel like we automatically do that anyway like bringing in like pastels and bringing in more like short denim shorts, like we definitely do. But I do think it is nice to kind of like maybe invest in a couple of items that you can like multi-wear, like even basic items that you can mix and match, like not obviously spending a fortune on clothes, but I do love cute little cardigans and stuff like that in spring yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2:Me and the girls actually had this conversation last night, like we need to get out of the habit of being afraid to wear something, out of the habit of being afraid to wear something twice, like I am a devil, I'm the worst world's nightmare of having a fear. And it's not even that. I just feel like I feel horrible wearing something again, not obviously on a day-to-day basis going to the office, but like on a night out or whatever it may be. Like it's so bad.
Speaker 1:I know and I get what you mean because I'm the exact same like you.
Speaker 1:Feel like you're not done up when you wear it again, but I find the best thing is like things, like there's certain things that I have worn twice, three times, four times yeah, like if it's jeans or shorts or skirts yeah, or like I feel like corsets and things like that, because you can mix and match them, but, like there's, like certain, say, dresses and stuff that you're like oh, and especially if they're like very out there, like embellishment or colors like you're just like, oh, I don't feel like nice because I've already worn it, but we do need to try normalize it, don't we? Like that it's okay to wear something again like do you know what I mean? Like, especially when some like clothes are so nice as well and you spend a fortune on them. Like you want to get another wear out of it like so, yeah.
Speaker 1:I think the best advice with that is, though, to maybe like try play around with accessories, or like change your hair so you might have wore. Like your hair like curly with the last time, this time I'll put it up in like a ponytail, or like chain. Put different accessories with, wear different makeup like. I do think that massively does change the look as well.
Speaker 2:I just think, women, that when you actually do put like way more eye maintenance oh my god, we're so high maintenance.
Speaker 1:We are literally men just don't really give a shit like and they can wear the same thing like all the time, like you probably wouldn't even notice, because a lot of the time it's like more neutral kind of clothing as well. Do you know? Um, so next up we can be bougie on a budget, so, like that we can basically be hot girl summer, but keep it. You know, we don't have to be spending a fortune as well. Like there's so many like, as I said, you can like get basic items of clothes, mix match them, engines up, accessories. There's so many like super products as well out there. With that you know what I mean that you don't need to be spending a fortune on stuff as well and, like that, take out clothes you already have. Like I'm sure you have clothes from like last year that you've never worn and like we forget about that as well. Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 2:yeah, and I know everyone has the same problem. You're sick of the sight of looking at it inside your wardrobe that you're just gone off it and then you won't keep it. You won't even throw it out, you'll just keep it there just in case, and those just in case items need to go on.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly like mindset. So we need to have mindset for our main character. I think this is so important for this time of year. I think, out of all the points that we have, I think this is going to be your hot girl spring. Like this is, mindset is everything like you need to just feel, like you already have it. Give yourself affirmation, do your journaling or do your gratitude, as Simone was saying in the evenings, and just trying to and don't get me wrong, everyone has shit days and like life is hard and life is not easy, but I do think mindset is key. Like what? What would your advice be on that one? Like what's your top tip for changing your mindset?
Speaker 2:I just think, like you said, you have to believe in yourself. And if you keep doubting yourself for it, constantly saying like, oh, nothing ever goes my way, or oh my god, why aren't I rich yet? Or why can't I find the man of my dreams or why can't I find my dream job, like constantly sending that negativity out into the universe you're. You're never gonna get it.
Speaker 2:Like ever gonna get it like you have to be in the a positive mindset constantly, even though, like, yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm always not in a positive mindset.
Speaker 2:But you need to just kind of pull back and sit there and be like right, okay, it's going to happen, I'm going to make this happen, it's already happening for me. Yeah, like it's happening right now. Yeah, it's coming my way, instead of constantly being in a negative mindset, because I just feel like there's so much bad things that go on in the world on a day-to-day basis. Right, but if you're constantly sitting there dwelling, you're not pushing yourself, you're not striving. Like if you're putting all your energy into yourself, like getting up, going for a walk, going to the gym, doing your skincare, like it's all the little things like that that make a difference. Yeah, it really does. Like you need to show up in the best version of who you want to be every day, like, believe you, you're already that person. Yeah, that you're, that you are destined to be in your own head, because if you don't, then you're just.
Speaker 1:You're just kind of stuck in a rut, you're not moving forward yeah, they say that like do little habits every day as if they successful. Whoever, whatever your manifestation is, act like you already have it. So what would that person do if they had the dream bakery or the dream catering business or whatever they wanted?
Speaker 1:to do like they asked what was a little task that they would do every morning before they go to work, or every evening when they come home from work, or like little things that they would do every day that got them to where they are. So, yeah, yeah, it is like and you know what, simone, it's? It's it's hard, but it's not hard. Like does that make sense? Like I feel like we over complicate things. So like, definitely.
Speaker 2:I always say being DeLulo gets you through.
Speaker 1:True, yeah like we over complicate it, but it is a thing where you constantly have to retrain your brain every single day to do it. So I don't know, do you think the best advice for that would be then to nearly set a reminder on your phone and be like, do lulu, is the lulu, yeah, and just like, have that vision of like who you want your future self to be, so you can kind of get back into the energy field. I don't know like it's a hard one. You kind of do have to train yourself every day, like, don't you?
Speaker 2:yeah, you do. But another thing is well, stop telling people your dreams or what you want to do, or even if you're going on holiday, they don't need to know months in advance, they don't need to know. Like I always say, when you put stuff out into the universe, like that, like, or you're telling people too much, you're just no, it's not okay yeah, it's give an evil eye and it is an evil eye because people honestly do not like other people succeeding.
Speaker 1:They don't. It's like a human instinct that people naturally will like just put like negative energy onto people. So I think you're right just a shut mouth catches no flies, as they say. So keep your visions to yourself. So we should romanticize like the little things in life, like walk into the shop like you're in a movie I love that. Like they do say that, that we should just romanticize everything in our life as if it's like just happening for us. Do you know what I mean? So we're going to journal manifestation for a fresh new season. So this is all part of our mindset. The main character energy.
Speaker 2:I feel like these are good tips for hot girl spring, aren't they? Yeah, they really are. Yeah, love it. I'm after even all the positive energy in the world.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I feel like this is a very positive energy. So, if you are listening to our podcast today, or whenever you're listening to it, even if this comes across you when it's not in spring, I want you to get out your book tonight and literally do a. Do your write out your morning routine, write your evening routine and just set aside time for yourself do you know what I mean? And and declutter your wardrobe as well. As you've seen, I run with makeup on and not by like intentionally, but sometimes I will be like after come from work, simone, or you know yourself like, so I'm not going to take my makeup off before I go run, I just go straight on the road because, as I said, I just do not think about it and we just get it done. So what I've been using recently is the rimmel, multititasker, primer, mist and Set and Spray, and it is brilliant. I love it.
Speaker 2:I need to have this, yeah, so.
Speaker 1:I have often used like the Cheryl Tilbury, which I love the Set and Spray. I love the Cash Set and Spray as well and I use MAC Set and Spray, but I love this one because I love it like prepping the skin. I love it in between knowing you're like after, before you put on your powder, and then I love setting it. Obviously my powder is on, but I'm telling you, lads, for my runs, my makeup has not come off.
Speaker 2:so that's insane. Like I don't know what it is right, but I can literally put as much powder on my face as possible and map myself up to the pepsi max and still run down like I've gone to the stage. Melissa, you are gonna hate me for this. Put hairspray on my face do you so now? So it'll stay, would you it?
Speaker 1:works. But so I want you to try this right. So if you do it, let me know. You can tag me. Do your foundation right, sprayed with setting spray, and then go in with your powder puff, and when your skin is actually wet, I want you to set your powder okay and then go back in with the setting spray again and I guarantee it'll make a massive difference.
Speaker 2:Love that. Yeah, you need to try it yeah, a girl's friend.
Speaker 1:So that is what would I do.
Speaker 2:I know that is our budget product of the week today, today today today I embrace the power within me to create a positive and fulfilling day well, I hope everyone enjoyed this episode.
