First up is…..
#BowelCancerAwarenessMonth an annual campaign by Bowel Cancer UK that encourages individuals to support #Decembeard by growing a beard throughout December. Starting with a clean shave on 30th November, participants let their facial hair grow to raise awareness and funds for bowel cancer research and support services. If you already have a beard, you can join by dyeing, decorating, or styling it in a creative way. Sharing personal stories of how bowel cancer has affected you or someone you know can also make a significant impact. Raising awareness includes educating others about the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, the importance of screening, and steps to maintain a healthy lifestyle. #WorldAidsDay on 1st December an opportunity to show solidarity with millions worldwide living with HIV. Support can be shown in many ways, including sharing accurate and up-to-date information about HIV/AIDS, using hashtags like #WorldAidsDay and #RocktheRibbon to join the global conversation, and wearing the symbolic red ribbon while sharing pictures to raise awareness. Sharing personal stories of those living with HIV/AIDS, educating others on prevention, and encouraging donations to relevant charities are all powerful ways to contribute.

#SmallBusinessSaturday on 2nd December dedicated to celebrating and supporting the backbone of our community's small businesses by encouraging consumers to shop locally and invest in the unique products and services they offer. You can show your support by highlighting your favourite local businesses, sharing your positive experiences, and encouraging others to explore and support them. Use the hashtag #SmallBusinessSaturday to amplify your posts and connect with the wider movement. Partnering with local businesses for collaborative promotions, sharing your own small business journey, and reflecting on its challenges and triumphs are also meaningful ways to contribute to this important day.

#NationalGriefAwarenessWeek from 2nd to 8th December, a time dedicated to raising awareness about grief and loss, supporting those affected, and encouraging conversations about bereavement. The theme for this year is 'Shine a Light', focusing on highlighting outstanding bereavement services across the UK and encouraging communities to share their stories and support those who are grieving.
