#WorldBookDay on 6th March, a global celebration of books and reading. This year’s theme, 'Read Your Way,' encourages children and young people to explore different ways of enjoying stories—whether through physical books, audiobooks, graphic novels, or e-books. It’s a day to celebrate the power of reading, spark creativity, and inspire a lifelong love of books. Schools and families across Guernsey will be taking part in fun activities to promote reading for pleasure.

This leads me nicely to our guest today, Jodie Hearn from the Guille-Allès Library in Guernsey, who is here to talk about how World Book Day is being celebrated locally and why reading matters. Jodie will share insights on the importance of "Read Your Way," how the library supports children and young people in finding books they love, and what exciting events are planned for this year. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or book lover, this episode is packed with inspiration on how to get involved in World Book Day!

Welcome, Jodie, and thanks for talking with me today.
