Parents employing this method often rely on their own experience and values, expecting children to comply with rules simply because they are told to do so, without engaging in extensive dialogue or justification. Critics argue that this approach may hinder a child's development of critical thinking and understanding, as it doesn't encourage open communication or the exploration of reasons behind rules.
