Episode 14

 Kara

 0:14

Welcome to this special episode of the Queen's Pitch podcast. I'm Kara. I'm Bridget. And we're covering the recent US. Open game between Charlotte FC. And South Georgia. Tormenta.

 Bridget

 0:26

Yeah. I think we got a win tonight. Four to one.

 Kara

 0:29

Wasn't that an amazing score? Wow. I don't think any of us

 Bridget

 0:32

expected that. No, I didn't really think they were going to get four. Especially they got most of them in the second half, so I wasn't expecting it. And guess what? We are on a winning streak. How about that? I mean, yeah, it's two games, but we're going to go with it. Winners. We are winners.

 Kara

 0:49

Too bad it doesn't count in the same way. But

 Bridget

 0:52

yeah, I mean, it counts, right? It's still a win. I guess it doesn't count on our record.

 Kara

 0:57

Absolutely. For the guys. And inspiring, but, yeah, you're right. That's not the only surprise of the

 Bridget

 1:02

night. No, there was lots of surprises tonight. So let's start out with the starting lineup. How about that? When we looked at the starting lineup, we were a little taken aback because remember the other night you told me there's no way Enzo is going to start? But guess who started tonight? We had about

 Kara

 1:16

half of our first team. At

 Bridget

 1:18

least we had Enzo and we had Colleen and goal. But I think we expected that to happen after Pablo played Sunday and george played Saturday. So it was Colina's turn. He was in the blue. He looked real good in the blue. He was out there. Then we had camille.

 Kara

 1:35

Captain Camille. Right. Captain camille. I think that's pretty cool because they had bronco and DJ. Out there, too. So you would think bronco might be the captain. Yeah, bronco got it

 Bridget

 1:46

later. Yeah, when camille got hurt.

 Kara

 1:48

And then he handed it off to swadersky. When swaderski came in at the end, we had three different captains. How about that? Maybe Latanzia's whole leadership thing is going through them. You know what I mean? They're all going to take their little turns of being captain and see what we can do with it. Yeah, but then the surprise, we didn't have mellow. We didn't have mellow on the starting lineup or on the bench either. So that was the surprise there. We didn't have Vargas on the starting lineup, but he was on the bench, so we had that. Who did we have on the other side? Oh, we had gaines. We had yoziak and gaines. I'm trying to go with the front. We had gaines, enzo and yoziak. Is that how you say it? I think I'm saying yuziak. Yeah,

 Bridget

 2:29

there we go. And then we had hagard as our cam, which was really amazing. And he

 Kara

 2:35

was playing somewhat of a shadow striker role similar to swadersky.

 Bridget

 2:39

Yeah, it was really neat. And then we had Veronica and DJ. In the middle, which we knew was pretty much going to happen because we have no one else to put there. 2s And then in the back, we had some surprises, too. We had landsy back there and then we had which we thought Lindsay would. But then we had menda started. No, wait, bill started, right,

 Kara

 2:59

bill started. Bill started as left back and

 Bridget

 3:02

you had SoBo as center back. And then who was the other one? Adil. Adil. Oh, so they did start a deal and bill together.

 Kara

 3:10

Yes, but not in the same way as

 Bridget

 3:13

before. Okay, so there we go. We're just trying to do a little shake up there so we could put bill on the outside now.

 Kara

 3:20

Well, I think it was just for this game because Sobosinski probably plays a better center back than he does a left back.

 Bridget

 3:27

Yeah, that's true. Okay, so we had SoBo and then you had selena. So that was our starting lineup. So it was really interesting to see the boys out there. Hagar is really good, and I know I said that before when he was a sub. I watched him and play for the independence last year or something. And he is really good at cam. He can control. I mean, obviously he's young and I'm not going to try to replace wooderski with hagar, but are you

 Kara

 3:51

 spoiling your favor? Hagar

 Bridget

 3:53

is not going to get my favor. I'm not going that far. Let's not go there, okay? I'm just trying to be nice to the kid. Anyway, the one surprise before we start with the favors, there's one more surprise right on the bench. Was really surprised. Well, Adam armor went out there. There was some Adam Armor news that went on today. We don't really have a nut to say. A there's some rumors of a trade trade that didn't go through. So anyway. 1s Adam went there on the bench, though. We had Cambridge Private A Fool and Swadowski.

 Kara

 4:28

 And

 Bridget

 4:28

marks, of course, because what's the bench without having marks there? Burn was on the bench, too. Let's not forget. Dare I forget my burn? 1s So that was interesting. So we had a really good lineup, I think, out there. Let's just seem like the time they wanted to go out there and win at all costs, right?

 Kara

 4:46

Yeah, that certainly seems like it to me, that they were all just determined to be like, we're going to put it in the net and we're going to win this and we're going to go home.

 Bridget

 4:54

Right. Screw the starting second line, the second string. We're not doing that. We're going to go out here and just put in some starters and let them score and get those goals under their belt so maybe they can feel better about playing on the weekend and can shoot then, too. Yeah.

 Kara

 5:08

And did you notice the momentum shift, like the first half, with usually getting a goal? Right. He got an assist

 Bridget

 5:17

yes. From Hagart. Yes. And I think that remember when a couple of episodes you were talking about our team, they do gymnastics and all. Yeah. I think that is part of their their workout. Because he did some back kick like last week. He did one of those bicycle kicks in, right. Or some fancy kick.

 Kara

 5:34

He is one of the players who will do that. Not all of them will, but Yusufiac will. Yeah.

 Bridget

 5:39

He did something fancy today, too, and he was all like, Acrobatic.

 Kara

 5:42

 It was like a round.

 Bridget

 5:43

Yes. And I'm like, look at that dude.

 Kara

 5:47

 It was really amazing. It

 Bridget

 5:49

was really cool. He'll surprise you. He's not scared to just do a back kick into the goal and it went in. That was great. So that was the first half. We're excited. And then

 Kara

 6:01

he got hurt. Yeah. And the first half of the momentum was like we had some other shots, but I think that was the first time I think some of this lineup had played together.

 Bridget

 6:11

Together, yeah. Not to mention, like, with Hagard as Cam. So I think some of that was just chemistry a little bit. But I also think you probably noticed this, too, a little bit after

 Kara

 6:23

through halftime, they did not come out until the last second.

 Bridget

 6:28

They didn't come out and warm up.

 Kara

 6:30

Right. Nobody came out and warmed up. So to me, I think they were getting a talking to. They were like, this means business. You need to go out here. And I think they were really getting refocused because the team that came out the second half was just like right. They were on their P's and Q's. They weren't playing around round. But then at the same time right. They were having

 Bridget

 6:51

fun. Yeah. 2s They were out there to score. They were there to do it.

 Kara

 6:58

They're focused on the task at hand. Yeah. The

 Bridget

 7:00

first half was like. 1s Gaines had the ball a lot. I noticed his timing was off, so his passes wasn't working and it was something's going on. But then that second half, it just seemed like they started clicking and it was like, okay, here we go, here we go. I don't know if that's because they changed captains. I don't know what it was, but like you said, it could have been a talking to very well. We're going to win this game. We're not coming out here to lose this in front of these people. So either way it was great. Instead of like in the second half, instead of us just sitting back and holding our breath, we were like, keep scoring, keep scoring, keep scoring. Like, can we do that on Saturdays? That would be really nice. Oh, yeah.

 Kara

 7:36

Well, and we saw, I think, too, how much fun everyone was having. And I'm sure South Georgia tormenta was not having fun, but

 Bridget

 7:45

they definitely weren't for the people heckling them that we sat there and had to hear. But

 Kara

 7:49

I think the team was they were just like, okay. 1s Spiderski was handing it off to Private at one point to kind of get a couple of shots off. So I think they were all just kind of being generous, but without being too over serious tight. They were so loose. Yeah, right. They weren't overthinking what they were doing. Like Jones, when he kicked that goal in, it was like a mirror. Honestly, I don't think he meant for it to go in. I don't even think he thought that was going to go in, but he just kicked it and it went in and you could see it on his face. It was like, oh, my gosh, I just scored. And the whole team did the same thing. Everybody turned around was like, I saw Hagart's face. It was the funniest thing. But it was so cute because Hagart got so excited. He was like, oh, my God, it went in. And he turned around to DJ and it was just like, look, we can do this. And guess what? He shot outside the box. Yeah, he shot outside the box and we got it in. Derek Jones

 Bridget

 8:42

shot and it went in and everybody was like, DJ's got it going on. Especially after you rafted another day and came back. So, hey, when we wrap people, they seem to come back, show us that 1s maybe that's our it

 Kara

 8:55

was a soft wrath, but yeah, I mean, I would say he doesn't get very many chances to shoot, and some of the times he does, it's not always the same opportunities. And there's definite levels of defending, probably differences between the teams we play in MLS and this USL team. So there's probably different gaps, too. So I think Jones was probably shot before, but I think it was nice. This part was loose. He tried for it and that's what happens. You got to take those shots and see if they happen. And then it was on target. Yeah,

 Bridget

 9:26

it was great. It did take a little

 Kara

 9:28

deflection, but we'll take it. That's what you need. Yeah. As opposed to it shooting to the moon over top. I'd rather

 Bridget

 9:35

try that. Yeah, let's do this. And it

 Kara

 9:37

 on target and deflect. Right.

 Bridget

 9:39

Or just pass it back and forth to each other and not shoot, period. 1s To shoot and do it. I know there was one that Carol, when we saw it, he tried to pass it to I don't know who he was passing it to, but he totally airmeled it. It went way, but at least he was trying. 1s It was good to see that they were out there. They were doing that. And I think it was kind of neat just to see that Carol came in like, hey, I'm going to come in and save the day. And then he came in and scored, and it was like he didn't have to save the day, you know what I'm saying? But he came in, he took control. I saw him moving his arms around, telling people where to go, what to do. I think he kind of likes that aspect of it. So it was kind of nice to have that pressure off his back and he could just come out and play without feeling like, okay, I got to do this. I got to score. I got to make things happen. He had Hagart out there because Hagart stayed out there when he came out, right?

 Kara

 10:30

Yes. Because Hagart gave him the assist on his goal.

 Bridget

 10:33

Yeah. So it took a little bit of pressure off of I think because Hagart was playing that role, too, and they were like he felt comfortable. He could just go out there and play football, play soccer, and he got it, and I think that made a difference. Yeah.

 Kara

 10:46

Enzo came out to put Carol on

 Bridget

 10:48

yeah. For Carol. And then we left Hagard. So does that mean Hagar was still the cam? Yeah,

 Kara

 10:53

I think so, because Swedeski was playing striker.

 Bridget

 10:56

Right. And that took the pressure off Carol of being the cam, and he could actually just go out there and play.

 Kara

 11:01

And he had someone to feed him, too. He had multiple people feeding him.

 Bridget

 11:05

Maybe Latania will take some notes and be like, hey, look what can happen if I don't make Carol do everything. You can actually play

 Kara

 11:12

well. And I think there's something to be said here that it's not all I don't know, sunshine and roses. Although it rained tonight, so whatever. Not the same metaphor, but. 2s The momentum does shift, not only just because the second half, but also because tormenta got down a man with double yellows for a red. Right?

 Bridget

 11:33

They got down on man way before we did.

 Kara

 11:35

That's about the 48th minute. And you can see at that point, we were all like, what are you doing? You have to attack. And so it was shot after shot after shot after shot pressure on tormenta side. So the fact that those goals went in, like, good, but also it did help that even though 1s we got a goalie and stuff right around the 80, I don't know, 70 something, something like that minute from tormenta, that didn't stop us. And carol was like 1 minute later, carol went back and scored.

 Bridget

 12:06

Right. It didn't get them down right. They just turned it around and kept going.

 Kara

 12:10

And at some point in there, we went down a man, too, because cambridge got a second yellow

 Bridget

 12:16

when it's ten minutes in the game. He played ten minutes and got two yellows, and he was out. Hey, but that just shows that he's aggressive, that he wants to be in there, and he's going after the ball. And honestly, I think I heard some of those calls weren't really may not have warranted.

 Kara

 12:31

They were not. And to be fair, he played longer in ten minutes. He went in at the 35th minute for

 Bridget

 12:36

camille. Okay, I forgot. He went in for camille. Okay. Got

 Kara

 12:40

it in the 90th something. 1s It was just wow.

 Bridget

 12:44

He was up there. He was running around, too. He was doing a good job.

 Kara

 12:47

He got the double yellows within two minutes, like 1 minute of each other. That's what I'm

 Bridget

 12:52

trying I think I'm saying yeah, that's what I'm trying to say. He got them really quick together, as did david mason. I mean, I felt like that same 1s were they using an MLS ref? Because

 Kara

 13:04

 MLS refs don't ref like

 Bridget

 13:06

that. I think they were the same refs from sunday, which is the MLS next. But I don't know. They just had the same color on. So that might have been why I thought they were the same ones.

 Kara

 13:13

But I'm just saying, like, that they do seem really soft for anything we play ever. Although, to be fair, we did not see Copetti. 2s Doing

 Bridget

 13:24

fouls. I don't think he fell down once, did he? I don't think he fell down. That's what

 Kara

 13:29

I'm saying. I don't think he pushed or something. Like, I don't think he was playing the same game this time.

 Bridget

 13:36

 He wasn't as

 Kara

 13:36

aggressive. If we just saw that same attitude out of him and then what would happen with that? I think we would have had a better comparison to give with what they call for MLS. But yeah, it was strange, right? I didn't think Veronico's was I mean, it was just kind of strange that, yes, he went after him and then they conferred for a minute, played Hardy, started, and then they're like, oh, no, wait a second. We are going to

 Bridget

 13:59

give a yellow you deserve yeah. At least we don't think those count towards our real season, so that helps. And we don't have to worry about adding to our collection.

 Kara

 14:10

Yeah, but I do think it's hilarious that both players went down for reds. Well, at least one on each team. So we were both playing with nine men. We were even Steven at that point, so they can't say that. Ten. Oh, yeah, ten. Sorry, I can't count. My kid has ten in her games. Okay, 1s I'm going to say that's the excuse. It might be the fact that it's after midnight, but you never know. On that note, let's go ahead and do you want to do a quick favor and a quick wrath and then we can wrap it up real quick? Sure.

 Bridget

 14:40

Okay. Then mine's going to be Mark's. No, I'm just kidding. It's not he didn't even play

 Kara

 14:45

mine tonight. Oh, this is a toughie. Who do I like the best tonight? I'm going with Gaines. I thought Gaines was really aggressive. I thought he did make some mistakes, but he played the full 90 minutes and he's so fast. I mean, I know I say that all the time, but he's so fast. And when he is on and he can control that ball, he could literally take it straight to the goal, but he doesn't. He passes it a lot, which I obviously supposed to do, but I think if he started taking more shots, kind of like DJ did, it would be even better because I think some of his would go in and land. But just seeing him out there, I know he doesn't play as a starter all the time. He gets put back because of Vargas, and we all talk about him this and that, but he's a really good guy. He's a team player, and he goes out there and you can just tell he wants to play. So. 2s I'm

 Bridget

 15:37

going to go with Gaines today.

 Kara

 15:38

Yeah, I think so. The shot that Jones gets in, he assists, and even though it's obviously an uncharacteristic shot, he doesn't necessarily get credit for it in the stats that I'm seeing anywhere. But I went back and watched it. 2s But I also think 1s he played the full 90, which is great. I think he needed that full 90. I think that some of the other team had some of his number, like he was dribbling into traps. Now, whether he was supposed to do that, I don't know, but he doesn't do it the same way that Yusufiac does. And I think there were some moments where, too, that especially in the first half where he got those great passes, but because of whatever reason they weren't quite landing correctly, that he couldn't use the full speed.

 Bridget

 16:27

Right. I think sometimes he goes too fast, and I think his speed, he gets ahead of himself and he can't control it. You know what I mean? I don't think that's necessarily always a bad thing, but I do know there was a time that I saw him and he was going so fast, he couldn't stop himself fast enough to get the ball. And I think they were double teaming him a lot, though. But he's so quick, and then even at the end, he was in the goal, he was just all over the place trying to make things happen. And for someone that doesn't play all the time and doesn't get to start all the time, heck, he was just hurt, right. And out for a game, I think. Real Salt Lake. Real Salt Lake. Whatever, he was out and hurt. So for him to just bounce back and just keep on going, I like that determination. I like that grind. Yeah. And

 Kara

 17:10

I thought he had some nice crosses tonight, too.

 Bridget

 17:13

Yeah, 1s he's a good guy. I like them orange shoes he had on, too. Yeah, he didn't switch his shoes. His was only orange the whole night. Enzo switched his shoes, by the way, for people at home that didn't see it. He switched them in halftime.

 Kara

 17:26

 You noticed the funniest things

 Bridget

 17:28

I do because that's how I keep up with the players, because I can't see their numbers, because I don't wear my glasses like I'm supposed to. So a lot of times it's either by their hair color or by their shoes, because obviously there's a white guy with the shoes on that's orange, and there's a black have orange shoes. I know who, too. But, yeah, he switched up his shoes, I guess, because they got too wet. But anyway, on another note, who's your favorite, this week or tonight?

 Kara

 17:50

OOH together like you caught it at the beginning. It's kind of like Chris Hagart.

 Bridget

 17:56

 Like, he got two assists.

 Kara

 17:57

He played a great cam. He deserves it. I think he played a great game. I don't think he's the only one who had a very good game, but he's one of the new. He hasn't really been on the pitch much, let alone the full 90. And I think part of the reason he was left on the full 90 was because he was doing so

 Bridget

 18:13

well. He is good. He really is. And he

 Kara

 18:16

 has some great through passes,

 Bridget

 18:19

right. And he is fearless. That little guy is fearless. Like, you just don't think when you see him, he's one of the smaller dudes on the field or on our team. And he's young, but he can control that ball. And he does the corner kicks, so obviously they trust him. You know what I'm saying? And the one time he was subbed in a couple of weeks ago, I thought he did a good job when he did that. And I think LaTanza is seeing that in him. Obviously, he's not going to get the start ahead of Westwood or Bender or Bronco Jones, but he does have that quality that he is someone that they can grow with and teach, and he has control. He can control that ball and slide it in. And there were times that he was up there beside Enzo a lot like he was keeping up with Enzo. And I think if you can do that and Enzo trusted him, I think that's a good thing.

 Kara

 19:10

Yeah. I thought his vision went very well tonight and his positioning as well. And I do have to say it's really hard to understand some of this without being able to a, watch it back, b see any statistics and see the pitch at all in some cases. 1s I just want to say the lighting is very hard.

 Bridget

 19:31

The lighting is hard. The lighting, as a metroplex, is the worst. And there's only the one camera, and it doesn't really always follow the action or enough that I'm still over there. Like I need binoculars or like a telescope. And I'm not fully blind by any means, but I still feel like I need my extra good glasses on or something because I'm like, who is that? It's just tough

 Kara

 19:56

with the angle, too. I just see a sea of men, so sometimes picking it out. What exactly happened was a little hard.

 Bridget

 20:04

I think our buddy Jorge said it the best. Buddy Jorge, the photography guy? He's awesome, by the way. He was saying that the lighting out there makes everybody look like they had a bad spray tan. 1s Like all the players had a bad spray tan out there. And you're like, dude, you're too orange. So you want me to tell you my raft today? 2s It's burned. No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. It's not

 Kara

 20:30

burned. I was like, it can't be burned. Cannot be burned today. I'm going to put a stop to that one today.

 Bridget

 20:36

It is not burned today. 1s He's definitely not getting my favor, but he didn't get my rap. He played really well when he was in there. He is such a nice guy. My daughter actually got a photo with him afterwards, and he's got the biggest smile on his face, and he's he's a really nice guy. So I like, burn. He's not my wrath today. Good job. Burn my wrath today. I don't even know if I want to say this. Everybody can be mad at me. I'm going to go with kalina. And only because he's not marks. No, I'm going with kalina because he let that go in and there's nobody else that did a bad job. I don't think anyone else out there really had mistakes. I mean, there were some mistakes, you know what I'm saying? So here and there, I can't really couldn't watch it as much as I wanted to, but I didn't see anybody doing really bad as a team out there. And kalina just I guess I'm the only reason I'm giving my rap and it's a little tee, tiny one, is because he is not ready to play in the MLS. And I don't care what anybody says. He's just reaction time is a little slow. Okay. And so he did let a goal in. He did get a clean sheet. Nothing against him. He's still a good guy, and obviously he's so happy to be back out there. He stayed there and signed autographs for a good 30 minutes after when no one else would do it. He made sure he did every single person. So he's a good guy. 1s He's out there talking to guys. He's doing what he's supposed to do. But if you're the goalie, I'm going to want you to stop the goals. And I gave marks my wrath when he let it go in. So I'm going to give clean a mind today. All

 Kara

 22:11

right. I feel like that's pretty fair. I do think 1s it's very hard to see down there what exactly happened with kleina's goal because we were on the complete other side watching all the ricochet of goals into tormentors net

 Bridget

 22:28

and listening to hecklers. Yeah. If I could watch something again, I probably would want to go back and watch that bit just to see. I would just want to see how he did.

 Kara

 22:39

But I feel like that's fair

 Bridget

 22:41

and see if it was the line that messed up. We don't know. It could have been, but I think it was a dive and I just don't think that he's quick enough yet. Still needs to be second string, but he'll get there anyway. Who is your raft today? Well,

 Kara

 22:58

I don't feel like it's really fair to give one to brandon cambridge for the double yellow this game. I don't think it's worth it because I do think that's more of the refing, however. 2s I think what I'd like to wrap is how shaky our depth is for this, that we have to use our starters for a lot of the game. And I'm kind of worried, as probably everyone should be, about Saturday and about this sustainability going forward with our depth pieces, especially knowing that we want to keep all of our players healthy. Right. So if can meal is hurt, which let's knock on wood, he's not. And Bill, if either one of them has an MRI and has to be out,

 Bridget

 23:44

we pray and that Westwood comes back. Was he even there? I didn't see him. I didn't

 Kara

 23:49

see Westwood. But he could have been because Carujo was

 Bridget

 23:53

I mean, he wasn't obviously on the bench. He might have been up there watching.

 Kara

 23:57

Latanzio was hinting yesterday that Westwood could be back this weekend, which is good. We have one more piece, but I still don't think it addresses enough that we actually need. Right,

 Bridget

 24:08

no, because you had DJ and Bronica play 90 minutes again tonight.

 Kara

 24:12

Yes. Which I think on that note, one of them will go in and one of them will get switched out is my theory. I think Carol will go back to Cam for the next game, and then I think either Bronco or Jones will be in. And I think it's probably going to be Jones because he doesn't run as much as Bronco. So I think Bronco will probably get the break. Westwood will be in, and then Bronco will come in for Westwood. That's my theory. There we go. But you could also see Bender. You could also see Hagert, you know, like.

 Bridget

 24:44

 They

 Kara

 24:44

 would be choices for that.

 Bridget

 24:46

Hagar played 90 minutes. 1s Hagar played 90 minutes. I just don't see Laddie putting him out there for another I mean, he could come in as a no, but

 Kara

 24:54

they could still come in as depth players.

 Bridget

 24:56

Yeah, definitely. He'll have them on, probably. And Bender. Hopefully, Bender was out tonight. Sick. They said hopefully he's well, so let's hope that he's feeling better. Someone said Danny said it might have been a bad omelet from his little cooking show, but we know that's not the case. He probably just is not used to this southern allergy season. It's a hot mess express. So, Bender, we hope you feel better and we really definitely hope you feel better by Saturday. We need that.

 Kara

 25:23

But it would be nice if 1s we didn't get to hear the after the match press conference with Latanzio. And I do not know if Mello's absence was addressed, but I think that is another thing that we bring in there because we thought he would play today. And the fact that Capetti had to go play another 90 minutes again, I don't love that. But if he's also putting Carol up top as striker for Enzo, well, then that might be another strategy that he uses this weekend.

 Bridget

 25:52

It just gives me a headache thinking about it. Can you imagine me on the tanzi? 1s Oh, my God. You literally start out the season with all these players. You got depth like nobody's business. Like, seriously. We were all like, dude, we got mail filters, all the wazoo. It

 Kara

 26:08

 was really exciting.

 Bridget

 26:10

Yeah. We didn't have a back line, but we knew that no one wanted to do anything about it, so there was nothing we could do. And we got bill and we was excited. But then now we're like, we have nothing. It's

 Kara

 26:20

 panic inducing.

 Bridget

 26:21

Yeah, it is. It's anxiety. And especially with all the mess that's going on behind the scenes that we have no clue what's going on. So then every day it's like, guess what? Adam armor is not playing today. Right.

 Kara

 26:31

Recent transfer rumors. The window closing this week.

 Bridget

 26:35

Right. Or Shiny is not with you today. Who knows? Mia, who has the clue what's going on with him? Mellow, no one knows. Yeah. So you've got Armor that's missing now, too. So we have clue what's going on with Armor. So basically you've got all these players.

 Kara

 26:53

That's right. There's four. So you got armor, mello, shiny and nuno. I just don't know. That right there. It's insane. And then we just don't know if we're even going to get anybody. New carujo is working out, so hopefully he'll come back one day. 1s And now you got Bill, who is getting an MRI, and

 Bridget

 27:16

Camille, who's getting an MRI. 4s And

 Kara

 27:23

hopefully those were out of a high abundance of caution and to keep them well, I know that's not great. Well, the good thing is, too, we've got mora has been out one week. Oh,

 Bridget

 27:35

yeah, he's hurt. Say, look at

 Kara

 27:36

that. His prognosis last time was two to three weeks. I did not see him tonight, even like, around. 2s So if theoretically one of those two weeks, we could see him this weekend or next weekend is the hope

 Bridget

 27:50

without this weekend, I would think maybe next weekend. Yeah, well,

 Kara

 27:53

I hope he gets some time to practice with them, but yeah, exactly. He could still be a depth piece if not.

 Bridget

 27:58

And Private did a good job for the time he was out there. And like you said, Carol felt comfortable enough to pass it to Private to give Private where we were like, Carol, just shoot the ball, which he did, and he scored the time he did. But he

 Kara

 28:12

was out. He was still being generous,

 Bridget

 28:14

right? He was being very generous and he was instructing. Private like,

 Kara

 28:17

 go here, go here,

 Bridget

 28:19

do that. And I think that's a good sign to see that he's got that with Private. That's a good with Private maybe having that opportunity to come up, too, if we really need it

 Kara

 28:30

when he's using his captain influence.

 Bridget

 28:32

I like that. I like Carol doing that. I hope Carol keeps doing that. And he was very appreciative of the fans, too. And that's another aspect of tonight that I really liked. I liked being closer. I liked being able to you felt more involved with the game? I didn't get as close to the Laddy as I wanted to because I wanted to hear Laddie talking, how he yelled, but that wasn't possible. They wouldn't let me do that because they thought I might hurt him. I'm just kidding. I wasn't able to with the people, but I did get to listen. And that's the one thing I wanted to hear was does our team taught each other because the independence taught each other. The legacy talks to each other. Even the team we played Tormento, they talked to each other, but we did not talk to each other out there. And they don't communicate. And that was something that I don't know, I was asking you, do you think it's a language barrier or they just don't want to talk to each other? You know how players are out there going, here, shoot it to me, throw it to me, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. We didn't have that well, and that might too be different people's styles. But also, I think language barrier plays some of it, because I think in some of them, I think, too, they know their signals if

 Kara

 29:39

they play together enough. Like that one game where Vargas passed it to Yusuiak and he got his goal for that one. And it was like what they practiced. Some of those things, I feel like, are more routine, the things that they expect. Because I think one of the reasons we saw, like, today was McKenzie was over in the corner,

 Bridget

 29:59

like here. 2s I don't want to say anything because I don't want alerting to anybody. So I have this giant space. But hey. 1s I'm I'm I've got no one on me and acres to go, and I'm very fast. Right. But they didn't they still missed that opportunity 1s to cross that far. If that was Mellow or Vargas, that that pass would have gone in. Oh, yeah, for

 Kara

 30:22

 sure. Right, right. To gain.

 Bridget

 30:24

No, I just thought they would talk more to each other, I guess. I think

 Kara

 30:28

you're right. I think that's what needs at some points to happen. And some of them are soft or

 Bridget

 30:33

spoken. Not a lot. Yeah, you don't have to yell, but just be like, hey, so and so, like, cheering each other on, encouraging. You know what I mean? Like the way the legacy does. They're like, Jack, go over here. SoBo run over there. We don't have that. I don't know. Kalina might have been yelling, but no one hurt him down the field, so I don't know. I just wanted to see that. I wanted to see them working together. And when you see their practice videos, they're yelling at each other. They're doing all that good jazz. So maybe that's just not our team style of being out there. Maybe that's just like you said, maybe that's their thing. But it was really fun to be close. And then when Carol came up and did the corner kick and we were down there, and all the fans are yelling for Carol, and you could just tell he appreciates that, the smile he got on his face. And gaines too. Gaines actually turned around and waved at our girls because they were screaming at him to the point where he probably was like, just shut up so I can kick. But he turned around and waved at them, and Carol did, too, and gave a collapse. And I think that makes them feel good that we're there to support them, that they were still there. We're cheering for them. After it was over with, we all attacked them. They couldn't even get on the bus because everybody wanted their autographs or eat their

 Kara

 31:42

 dinners. They were hungry.

 Bridget

 31:44

Right. They have to appreciate that, though, after having such a struggling beginning of the season. It's like, too much love. Too much. You're like, okay, guys, we just won four to one. It's only two wins. We've won three wins this year. Come on, you all got to love us that much. But no, I mean, it was fun because I know food was like somebody was like, fuchsia cards over here. Come over here waiting. Food is like, I can't get there. Look, there's so many people. And then he turned around and kept signing autographs. So it was like it wasn't like he wanted to stop know? And Enzo even signed autographs. He was excited to. And you've heard the rumors how Enzo is not. 1s Fan friendly all the time, but he was out there and he was taking photos and was being cool even though he didn't understand half the stuff we were saying to him because we're all talking English and you can't get half of us. But I thought that was just a really cool aspect that the fans that were there really wanted to be there and that they made the team feel good. I know Marks and couple of them got on the bus, they were sitting there for like 45 minutes, probably waiting on everybody else to get autographs. They're probably like, these people just let us go home. We just want to go home.

 Kara

 32:47

Well, some of them got different opportunities of timing when to go,

 Bridget

 32:52

right? And I'm not saying they were mad, but we wanted to go home. So I know they wanted to go home after playing, but they were so nice and I'm very appreciative of the players. So we give them a hard time because at the bank of America, the Fortress, you can't get autographs a lot and sometimes they don't even care. Well,

 Kara

 33:08

they've got to go back. They've got to go back to the lock room and we saw some of that.

 Bridget

 33:11

They got to do other things right? And

 Kara

 33:13

they've got to go get their brief from Latanzio, which is their job, and do whatever they got to do. And if not, some man in a Charlotte FC jacket is going to come after him and be like, you need to get

 Bridget

 33:21

back there. And they did and they did, but Kalina did not give a crap. Kalina was like, Deuces, I'm going to keep signing. Like, literally, Kalina just kept signing. Everybody else is in. I don't even know if he even heard what lady said because he was signing an autograph, which is cool. I think he was just excited to be back out there and see his fans.

 Kara

 33:38

That's kind of been his Mo. Too. I mean, from the very beginning, that's who he is. So I think that's not

 Bridget

 33:44

right, but I think that's a goalkeeper thing too, because Marks does it too. So it was Mark seeing Kalina out there and I think Pablo would have if he was there. And maybe

 Kara

 33:52

they get a different talking because they do function as an extra special limb of the team. And so it's possible that they get a different thing or that with their goalkeeper, coach, the things that they go over and things like that, it is different and more involved at other timings because they did come and get hagar Hagart wanted to sign autographs and that's, like, no, you're coming with us now. I mean, granted he was and he had to do interviews and he did come back, he came back, but it was just cute because he was like, I got to go in. So I just think it's nice that the players stage and sign the autograph. They weren't rude. They weren't like, I got to go to my bus. Even Byrne was on the way to his car and my kids flagged him down. They were really kind.

 Bridget

 34:35

Right. And they came back even

 Kara

 34:37

when some of them are injured, right. Tired. It was raining, it was like an hour after the game, right. And they were all sweet. I was waiting on Latanzio to come out and he never would, so I was kind of getting mad at him, but whatever. He just didn't want to come out. So I think that we've talked about pretty much everything. Unless you have something else to say. No. Well, our next game is in DC on Saturday. My child and I are going to try to make the trek up there after her game Saturday morning, but we hope to win that game and we will do a wrap up after it. And until next time, we hope everybody has a safe week and thanks for listening. Bye.
