Welcome back to another episode of the Queens’ Pitch podcast. This is Bridget. And I'm Kara. And here we are after the Orlando
Kara

Orlando soccer club
Bridget

played them last night. And we did not win. We tied. So we are back to being Tie city FC.
Kara
0:36
This tie felt like a loss. This felt like losing two points, right?
Bridget
0:40
My daughter was like, mom, we can go out there and beat LAFC. And then we tied Orlando. It was two different games, though.
Kara
0:47
It was two different games. Two very feeling very different games, too. Right. And
Bridget
0:51
I'm going to blame the weather, right? I'm going to blame the fact that the ground was super wet and the ball was wet, and that makes it way more difficult,
Kara
1:01
right? Well, yeah, especially with the wet turf. I would think it's very slippery and very bouncy, but the ball skip a few times where it wouldn't traditionally. And I think that's also why sometimes. 1s Some of our guys will go to hit it and miss hit, because they don't typically do that. But again, the slippery weather, slippery feet, slippery ball. Yeah, that's what we're gonna blame it on. All the misses. We're gonna blame on the on the water and the and the wet. That's what we're gonna playing in a marsh.
Bridget
1:31
I mean, I'm sure that a lot of them had to do it.
Kara
1:34
It could have been worse. It could have been soaking. You're right.
Bridget
1:37
I think it wasn't too bad. My daughter thought it was. I personally recently got a poncho, so I wasn't going to suffer through that because I didn't want to drive home wet. But my daughter thought it would be fun. And I think a couple of other people that I know decided that they just wanted to stand out in the rain and got wet from head to toe. And it wasn't so, so bad that you were, like, dripping, but it was definitely steady. A little rain on
Kara
1:59
you. I dripped, but I also did not I gave my ponchos to my kids with mixed results, but so I was very wet
Bridget
2:08
and it wasn't too cold, it wasn't too hot. I thought it was okay,
Kara
2:11
but mild temperatures made it a lot more bearable.
Bridget
2:16
You want to start with our favors today?
Kara
2:18
No, I want to start with wrath. Let's go with wraths.
Bridget
2:22
But this week, my wrath is going to be the same as my wrath last week, which it's not gonna be a little itty bitty wrath, though. It's gonna be a wrath. I'm gonna wrath Kalina because I don't know at what point do we get tired of this? I thought he should have seen the ball when it was kicked over him to him, and he did not. He completely missed it and it went in the back post. There was a couple of times, like the first one that hit off that post and didn't go in. I thought for sure it was going to go in. We got lucky on that one cleaner scares the crap out of me. I don't know. And then his distribution was what really bothered me last night. So I told you the week a couple of days ago that his distribution was better, but it got worse. Like, it got worse. So I'm going to blame it on the rain. Blame it on the rain? Yeah. Anyway, I'm going to blame it on the rain. But he was in the box a couple of times and he gave it away in the box to the other team, and that was very don't there's there's no excuse for that. He waited too late to kick it, to do whatever he had to do. That cannot be a strategy, I don't think. Do you? Or you think he just messed
Kara
3:22
up? I think that goal against us should never have happened. Like all the other Orlando shots, whether it was the one by fukunto Torres. That went right over. That was pretty talented. Or just outside or something like that. Or the one off the post. Both of those had less chance of being defended if they went in. 1s But that goal was just sheer miscommunication and confusion and should never have gone in that way. It was just like, what are y'all doing? Oh, we don't know. And there it goes. But, yeah, to me, it was like Kalina should have said something. 1s And he should have been commanding it. Now, whether he had a visibility problem, I'm not that tall, I don't know, but Byrne was right there. And I think this attributed to some of the confusion because Byrne had been on the left, but when Yere came in, he went to the right for Lindsay, and Lindsay had come out. So I think that mix up right there. I'm not sure if it was communication on Byrne, communication on 1s if whoever is supposed to be back there saying that, whether it's him or Adele or somebody, I would assume Burn's the one calling for stuff. But that also should have been Kalina, and he also should have been like, I'm getting it, I'm getting it, and caught that thing. Now I think he was watching for a runner. No runner ever presented themselves. And so it just looks like this stupidest fluke that should never have happened. And it made us all just, are you kidding me? It's kind of joke. And I'm sure they're kicking themselves for that. And I would want to be interested in, I guess, what they would have said about that if the chance had been given to Kalina or Byrne to talk about that. Not that it will, but I would have wanted to hear that because I don't think Lottie's going to come after them necessarily in a post match or whatever discussion, because I don't see them as that type of guy. But it would be nice if we had like last year when, bless him, Anton Walks came out for that one where we remember his significant apology. This one feels like where one of them would go, yeah, man, that was my fault,
Bridget
5:34
right? We didn't see it. Kalina never even saw like, he never saw 2s if I don't know if he just couldn't see over somebody's head or what, but he just never saw. He got so mad, too, because after it was over with, we were on the other end, but after it was over that you could see him throw that ball in that net, he was not happy, but it comes down to him and 1s I don't know, it was just a mess. It was a hot mess. And for it to be so close to the end of the game, I don't just I think Kalina's good. Don't get me wrong. I think. 1s He's a great, you know, person, but I think that sometimes his skills are lacking. If we are the I don't know if we are now, but we were the most scored on team in the MLS. If we are still that, then it has to ride on our goalie at some point, right? So how long do we keep giving him
Kara
6:27
grace? And overall, it's not just the goalkeeper who's answering for the goals, it's defense in general. However, in this one there was too much shakiness in the back line because I feel like Orlando did keep trying to had opportunities to be very fast and it was almost like Adil or Byrne or Lindsay even, would be hung out to dry in some ways and mostly Melonda. And it was pretty scary because you were like, okay, what worked last time isn't happening here. There's a little too many gaps and either that Orlando is too fast and we got exposed too many times in chances that had hearts in our throats.
Bridget
7:12
We were really scared.
Kara
7:15
So this one, I can't put it all on Kalina for everything. I don't think the whole game as a match was on him. I do think his distribution was not as great, but I would absolutely blame that on the weather because that ball was slippery and sometimes his angles weren't as good and it was the whole back line feeding it to him too and continuously pushing backward until you were like can we move forward, please? Because we're on the end line. You're
Bridget
7:42
like, Please don't pick it to Kalena, right? You're like, Please don't pick it back
Kara
7:46
to then. Well, yeah, because the Orlando forwards were right there on top of them and so that was pretty scary. But he did have some pretty good saves. And that one that hit off the post, he did try, but because it was slippery and bouncy it was more complicated for a goalkeeper to defend. 2s Luckily, the offside call did happen. 1s And he didn't get caught out on that one. But 1s it was scary. It was scary for the whole back line as a whole this game because we put so many chances forward. But then our defense was not steadfast.
Bridget
8:23
Our defense was over in our
Kara
8:25
final third a lot. Yeah. And
Bridget
8:27
if our defense is over in the final third then you don't have anybody back. Well, you have one back maybe at midfield and then got clean and DUone cleaning things and so it's just one of those things where it's like it's a 50 50 shot. If they get loose and we mess up they're going to run it back and we got to pray and pray FC pray that one of our bag line gets back there before it does. And we did a lot of
Kara
8:49
that and we'll probably do it again this weekend. So not looking forward to that
Bridget
8:55
bat or turn the TV off. So who's your first raft?
Kara
8:59
So my raft today is I'm not sure that keeping the same lineup was good on the team's legs today for this Wednesday match. We had a great showing against LAFC. Very proud Wednesday. We don't have the best record for Wednesday games and it's raining and we also don't have the best record in the know we have a game this weekend where Nashville is just tied twice ish with Miami. So we know this game is going to be significant and require us to have our best feet forward, shall we say. But I'm not sure that keeping the same lineup even though don't stop a good thing, was the best option here in the midweek. Byrne was showing significant wear and tear by the end. Brex, he left early and it was troubling despite them saying it wasn't serious. It's both mixed good and bad. But I felt like our stamina just lagged towards the end and so Orlando at the beginning had more sheer talent coming from individuals and their play on the ball overall. But Charlote played more like a team, especially in that first half. I would say almost until the 60 when we kind of get a little different subs come in, that changes. So the end of the match, it's just more individuals trying. But you could tell we were not looking as together as energized as we should have been, except those few guys like, I was really glad to see Kamal and yeta really trying their best to run and get in front of things and to provide more on that defense, which is definitely what we needed. And poor Maram basically had to play the whole 1s I just for a Wednesday match I would have liked them to be a little more rested and not depend so much because what happens this weekend. 1s If Burns legs are bad, then what's he gonna do Saturday?
Bridget
10:57
Well, maybe they're saving Vargas for the weekend because I was like, where's Varghi? What happened to Varghi? Maybe he is saving Varghi for the weekend and pulled Carol out a little bit earlier. And Carol did not like that at all. 1s But I don't know. We don't have enough space for all these people. Well,
Kara
11:14
right, we don't. Especially when somebody gets injured. And we know that field was coming in. He's looked pretty good. We knew we needed that extra attacking in the midfield that wasn't quite connecting
Bridget
11:28
our field over Brandt. Not that Brant, because Brandt played the full 90 last time. So he got subbed something. I don't know. Brant did a lot in the last game. So you would think that you could give our field that chance and then bring Brent off of the bench. I don't know lady is one of those people if he sees it working, he doesn't switch it up.
Kara
11:47
Right. And I love DJ on the field too, but I also don't like I don't like that position that he's just I just don't I don't like it as much. And then Ben's been playing winger instead of midfielder. So that's been a different change for him as well. And while he does some things really don't. I'm not sure each of those decisions I would be more comfortable. You know, I liked him on his defense. I don't know, I feel like we're going to have to change it up in Nashville.
Bridget
12:15
Ben doesn't have a midfield place anymore. He has to use Ben where he can use Ben because he doesn't have a we I don't know. We went from not having anybody anywhere to now having like a heavy front line and a heavy midfield and then we're still struggle, busting it on the back line.
Kara
12:32
Well, it's true that he's good with both feet, which is why I think he's on that right side. I thought Bender did better. Everybody's giving bender hard on. We all were like star Bender, star Bender, star Bender star Bender. Star Bender. And then he starts Bender and we're all like, bender sucks. Bender sucks. Bender's not good. Why we start know so I don't know. Poor kid can't win for losing out there. His little cut, his little fresh haircut.
Bridget
12:54
But I thought Bender did okay. He does still have some like times where he needs to make some chances or make decisions quicker on his feet. But I thought he did
Kara
13:04
well. I just thought he didn't have a good like this was not his best game. I would say he was definitely trying, but it was like a trying too hard sort of thing where sometimes when you try so hard. 1s Things just don't fall right. But again, I'd rather him try hard than not. So no comments there, but right, let's move on past this. We're going to come back to probably some things that we also found problematic, but let's go into some favors. You want to
Bridget
13:31
go ahead. Okay. So my favorite now of all favors is going to be 1s he graduated from eternal wrath to the eternal favor now, so I'm going to give it to Burn. Burn, baby, burn he is like a little dude. And I know that you said maybe we could arrested Byrne, but I didn't want to arrest Burn, okay? I saw what it was like without Burn in Miami and I did not like it at all. So Byrne is out there earning his keep. He ran his little butt off. There was a couple of times, like you said, that we got beat by those Orlando players. And if it weren't for Byrne, for Privet, but mainly Byrne and his little legs, there was sometimes he stopped him and he didn't foul, he didn't get a yellow card. He did a good job and talks when they're lining up for the other team, gets a corner kick or one of their penalty kicks. You can see Byrne out there making decisions and telling them what to do. And I think he's taking like a leadership role in that back line. I mean, he has the most experience on the back line side, but assume that's what he's doing. But the team really listens to him and he has I love a fool, don't get me wrong, but I think he has a little bit more of a spark than a fool does. But I think that Byrne is very integral to that back line and I just don't see how you send him out. And who are you going to replace Byrne
Kara
14:47
with? Well, I think now that we have Yeti and we have Jalen Lindsay has been on form. However, again, Yeti is not cleared to play a full 90 yet and Byrne has been hot, as in we need to remember this next year maybe when he's just not doing great at the beginning of the season next year or something, we need to go. Let's remember Burn at the end of the season, like about June, July, he will start to ramp up and just be a lot better. And so maybe that's just how he is. He's a slow, warmer up to the season, but by the end 1s you can't drop him. And I know that Zorren Karnetta's recently comments was saying know nobody's undroppable, which is true. However, right now with people in form, you still have to keep that in mind, too. And I just think I just get so excited right now when Burns out there and I'm like, oh, Burns in the way he's going to get it. And. 2s I'm all the time yelling for that man. Me too. Me
Bridget
15:50
too. Let me tell you, at the beginning of the season, if you know, if you know me at all, you know, I was not a Byrne fan at all. Really couldn't stand the guy personally at all. But now, like, he's out there. I'm his number one cheer. I'm like, burn, go burn, burn's gonna get a burn go burn you know, I'm singing to Burn during the whole game. We're having a good time in life. My daughter really, really wants a kid to score. I just really wanted to score. He's got that energy out there on the field that I think Lindsay is really good on the other side. But Lindsay's not as quick as Byrne. Granted, Lindsay's way stockier than Byrne, but Byrne's just got them little. Like, if I was in a fire and I needed somebody to save me, I'd be like, burn, come get oh. I had to have a bit of a laugh. I did almost think Nathan Byrne was up there and going to score yesterday, because I was like, look at him. He's up there playing winger. He does it all the
Kara
16:41
time. It threw me. But he was staying for a while.
Bridget
16:45
I hated it, but he does it. And then you could see. 2s You could see him on the outside, you could see Westwood and them passing it to like he was part of that play, the set piece or whatever they call it. He was part of it. He would pass it and then he'd run on the inside like he was going to go score and they were going to pass it to him. And I'm like, Danny passing. Did you burn with Carol right there? But whatever score, I think he's going to do it by the end of the year. I really, really do. Okay, so anyway, do you have a wonderful favor? Do you get excited?
Kara
17:15
Me. Mine's going to go to Burns counterpart on the other side, which is Jalen Lindsay, because I felt that he had a really awesome game, especially in the beginning. Definitely. First half, he did get taken out at the 73rd minute, which makes sense because I think having him go the full 90 was just like he needed some relief. But Jalen Lindsay, he deserved that TFO yesterday, which was phenomenal. Great job to the Royal family. Tifos.
Bridget
17:47
That was so cool. Yeah. Do we get to do one for every player now or just the local? I
Kara
17:52
don't know. That was really neat. That was really neat. And I thought that maybe that buoyed him up yesterday or something because he just came out there that one time where he messed up and he was like, oh, no, I've got to cover my pass, man. Did he cover it. He got in front of that thing and got in front of the man and helped the ball so that Kalina was able to at least get it. And like, that's all we ask. We know people are going to make, you know, just the fact that he was like, he caught it. He's like, I'm going to do everything in my power but foul in the box and get in front of his man to try and still save his mistake was just way impressive. And I thought there were a number of times where he was saving people's bacon in the back. And I don't mean that in a bad way for the back line. I just mean that, again, our back line had troubles yesterday. It seemed more exposed, less help, and I thought Jalen was instrumental in providing that. But he also again, it used up some of his time and so that's why I think he needed to come out. But I still think he had a very good game and I was happy to have him out there working hard.
Bridget
18:58
Jalen's, like we said last week, Jalen's become one of the integral parts of the back line, too. You just figure he needs to start because he's making that inverted fullback mess work with him, and him and Byrne are doing it. So I think with yeri coming along. 1s It's going to be interesting. It's good to know that we have some stability there. Like, if we do have three games like we do this week, if one of them needs the rest, we have that ability and we're not so scared about it. So I think that's a good idea. I think Jalen's just a nice guy overall. I saw him at that Brand Veronico thing. I went to the Brand Veronica thing on Sunday fundraiser. It was a great time. I saw Jalen. My daughter loves it because he's a Renato fan and my daughter's a Renato fan. I know it was like great at talking to people and you can tell he's excited about what he does. We were building him up, saying, we made you one of our favorites last week, or Honorable mention. And he just is appreciative of what he's doing. He appreciates the fans. And I am one that if you work hard and you do a good job at what you're doing and you just keep making a great effort, then I get behind you 100%. That's what I like about Brant, even though sometimes I don't like what he does. But that grind set momentum and I think Lindsay's got that. Yeah. I think one of the things about this match that's been different to some others is that he didn't get as many opportunities forward to provide 2s offensive talent, which we know is some of the things that he's had a strength in the past. And so this match he doesn't get as many opportunities. So that's, I think, really why I saw him shine so much in the defense because he was providing that support. And so I think he didn't get all aspects of what he can do. Seen in this match. I would have liked to see him get a little more offensive and I'm not sure why. Maybe it was just moving up a different side of the pitch, but either way, just thought it was a good game by him.
Kara
20:58
And while we know this was a tie, we also have a honorable mention favor that we both surprisingly agreed on, which goes to Ashley Westwood. What did you think about how Ashley played last night?
Bridget
21:12
I thought Ashley did so much better this game than he did the game before. He plays well every game. I see now that I'm paying attention to him, but his captain abilities I think was a lot better. Last night I saw him try to manage the field more. So 1s he was talking to the ref but he would walk that like I could see him saying, what the heck? I mean he was pulling some well, the ref was calling fouls on just other players falling over on the Orlando's team, but Westwood got a couple of those on him and I could see the ref saying, watch know. And Westwood would give him heck. And. I like that about westwood. I like that he manages it and he would talk to the players and so I like that about it. And I think that he is doing a better job. And I think that as long as he keeps doing that and then his footwork, he was controlling the ball, like I said at that one time when Byrne kicked it to Westwood and Westwood kicked it back to Byrne, and you could see him making things happen on the field. And that's what we need. And I think that's what we've been looking for out of him. So good job, Ashley. And he's a great guy. I saw him at the Frank Ronico thing too and he was just very nice to everybody. He was down there mingling with the people, having some beers and just being a really friendly person. And I think that makes a big deal out of a captain because it makes the players enjoy him, but then it also makes the people, the fans like him more
Kara
22:28
too. Westwood, I thought this game especially like he was consistent and provided stability. He had a great chance at the beginning know, everybody was. 1s All so frustrated that we goofed and even none more so than him as well as Diete. But Westwood provided a lot of attitude that you wanted to see against Orlando. First of all, I hate playing Orlando every single time. I hate that,
Bridget
22:57
but me too. Even though their kids were pretty, mostly because they're all the time falling and wasting time and none more so than what happened. 1s I just, I don't like that type of play and it's just so you know, we're getting frustrated too and I think that Westwood embodied that for the team. So by him doing it, it allowed the other players not to get as hairy into situations and provide that bite. And know the ref did lose control of the plot a few times. As our announcers like to say,
Kara
23:30
especially towards the end there with the foul. And the thing we're going to mention in a second, he
Bridget
23:37
wouldn't even see the foul. Like the guy would just be on the ground and the ref would turn around and see the guy on the ground and be
Kara
23:42
like, yeah, look,
Bridget
23:43
and you're like, dude, you didn't even see the foul, you were looking the other direction.
Kara
23:47
And he did not give enough yellows for Tom Wasting. It was absolutely ridiculous. But oh gosh, no. At any rate, Westwood, I did love him this time. I thought his attacking in here, I really think that the connections between him and Brecht were very good. And I know Bridget, you missed this part because you weren't able to get in the stadium. You had some 1s mishaps with your ticket happen where you need to go get them
Bridget
24:15
fixed, right? I'm a seasoned ticket holder and I couldn't even get in the freaking door because it wouldn't upload on the app. That's just most ridiculousness. If you're a ticket holder you should be able to get but I'm not going to say anything. I digress. It was raining. Maybe ticket master Charlote C app had some glitches because of the rain. We're going to just say that. But anyway, maybe miss the freaking first half of the game. So when I walked in, Bret was on the ground, I was like, oh yay, Bret's already hurt again. Y'all told me to shut up and that was not what
Kara
24:43
had went would. I would say that the connections between him and Diana were pretty great in that first eleven minutes. Like we had a lot of tacking chances that really gave us promise and hope. But then he got hurt so you missed some good eleven minutes where I think we had more chances than when we had had and typical early starts of games. Especially since Orlando has only conceded what, one goal this year in the first 15 minutes of their matches. So they're a team that's doing really well to not let goals in at that time. And of course we didn't get a goal, but. 1s Man. It was close. If we'd had Brecht in there longer you have to think it would have been better.
Bridget
25:28
I like the fact that Brick's supposed to be like the Kevin de Braunyle routine is what someone told me. So he's supposed to be more of like a controller. Wait, if he's a ten why is he on the outside? Are we playing him out of position? Are we playing him as a winger instead of him?
Kara
25:42
Carol was on the outside. Carol was playing winger for a while. I was like, what you doing? Carol
Bridget
25:46
would just know that. Who am I to ask what Laddie does? He's got private as a CB and private midfielder. He's got Bender as a midfielder up as a winger. So who knows what he's doing over here with our ten over here as our outside and our nine as our tent. Whatever he wants to do with his life, he can do it. I just think that I didn't see Bret a lot and so when I came in and Bret was on the ground and I was like substitution mirror. I was like, what did Bret do to make Laddie mad in the first twelve minutes in the game? But Laddie did say after the game that Bret was walking around. He didn't know really everything because MRI but he was walking around. Bret's been hurting in the first two games. I'm going to need Bret to step it up, bro. Get you endurance working out. Yeah.
Kara
26:26
So hopefully he's not hurt too bad. I know they were still reviewing it today and nothing had come out yet. But who else came back from injury that we saw yesterday? You have some comments?
Bridget
26:38
Enzo. 1s How do you feel about enzo? I have like a love hate relationship with him.
Kara
26:44
I think many fans do. It was a great welcome back. Nice to see him. You know, it came with mixed results.
Bridget
26:52
I was at the halftime. I was talking to danny with charlote soccer show and a couple other people and we were discussing the fact that enzo was coming in. We knew enzo was coming. We had no doubt in our mind. But I was like and our friend jorge torres said, enzo is going to score a goal. I was like, well, enzo is not going to score a goal. I don't know about that, but I think enzo is definitely going to get a yellow card. And danny was like, for sure. We know that's going to happen. So when enzo came in and did his little floppy, floppy flopperoonie and it worked and he flopped around in that goal box and I guess he was fouled or whatever, so that we worked and we were like, yay. And then he was fighting, fighting with the goalkeeper. So that was even better. And I was like, dude, if you don't get this in I was like, if you don't get this in enzo, you're done. I'm going to ride that enzo out bus. He got it in. So we were happy about that. And then he started acting a fool. Like he literally started being the old enzo of old. So we were all excited. He came in and he scored and we're like 2s and he had on that shirt that said never give up, which is. Dude. I love stuff like that, but whatever. But then he goes out there and he punches, almost punches a dude in the face and gets a red card, which he really didn't, but whatever, he put his hand in his face and he was the reason that we got that free kick that we got that got in the goal. So started arguing with the ref, thought he was going to get a red. So it's one of those things where you're like, yeah, he scored. And thank goodness he came in and did his flop and it worked. But then at the same time, you're like, can he just not be normal? Can he just not calm it down for like 2.5? I mean, you're in the game for 15 minutes, bro. Can you not handle it? I just don't know. And then it's one of those things where you're like, our chemistry was okay without him. And Carol was not happy to come off for Enzo. Like, Carol was not happy with that. It was not so I feel like we're going to have a battle with if Enzo and Carol, are they going to play together, are we going to do it that way or what are we going to do with these two? Because we can't have them both flopping on the ground at the same time. So anyway, Enzo is

back, and as you can see, probably from a lot of people in the fandom, enzo 1s gives conflicting emotions lots of confusion. We want to love him. We want him to be great, but then there are some reservations that come with that because we know, like, I said the same thing. I was like, oh, he getting this skull, and then he's definitely getting the yellow card. Before this night's over, there's no way. Especially against Orlando. 2s Once he got called for that one, that was this really stupid foul that I just felt was, again, a case of Orlando faking 1s a. It was like a push.
Bridget
29:31
Yeah, that was what was going to set him. Like, that was what pushed him over the he the fake fouls. And them getting them sets Enzo off more than
Kara

anyone, right. And so then he doesn't know where his line is, and they constantly take it against Enzo, which, again, it's nice to have that penalty finally work for him, as in the Chicago match, which was ref by Tori penso and who recently did the women's world cup. 1s And she didn't give him opportunities for two penalties in that game. And it was just absolutely ridiculous. I believe that was that match. And Enzo? They came back later, and Zorn covered it recently with Mint City soccer show. He said that the MLS referees or officials said that we should have gotten those penalties against Enzo. So it's finally he gets a little bit of recognition, even though I was recently listening to the replay of it. And Crackhouer says that if you're an Orlando fan, that's probably a soft penalty. But listen, we've got soft penalties called against us before, and it's not gone our way. And Enzo's had it more than most. So I was super happy to have him get that. And then when Galese went after him 1s and was attituding him, I mean, it was so energetic to have the entire stadium boo Galese. That was excellent. It was great. And then he just calmly coolly popped that right into the corner. And so I couldn't be more proud of Enzo in that moment. However, it comes with reservations. You just want him to succeed all the time and not get caught in these little pesky battles, which is what happens later in his yellow card. And it is a yellow card. He doesn't get a red because the guy provokes him and then fakes it even more than happened. So even though it's pretty scary and wouldn't he be the guy to get something that would be extra fake? So I'm actually glad that the refining didn't do that one, but
Bridget
31:36
I was like, he came back in for a game and he's going to get a red, and it's going to be like, come on, dude. Yeah, we thought we were going to have him out for two more matches, which we're like, okay, say hello. Goodbye again. Hello. Goodbye again.
Kara
31:50
I love them. So we don't want that. We just want him to succeed.
Bridget
31:54
You know, he might have been happy about that, carol, but, I mean, that'd been rude. Can you imagine a conversation between those two dudes?
Kara
32:01
Oh my. Well that's that's the chemistry. That's the partnership that we need to make. 1s You know, I think that's the comments from the front office and and so it just has to be whatever is in laddie's head to get that on the pitch and actually make that happen, because I don't think we've seen that. We need to see it happen. We need to see him and carol and enzo together. They're too powerful not to try them. Can you imagine if that partnership would have worked and been strong, 1s how much of a powerhouse they would be? I really think a lot.
Bridget
32:36
Yeah, I think that it would have been but for some reason they're not doing you know, I went to brandon single Sunday, and that was one of the big things I'm thinking about now. The people that didn't show know was the enzo and the carol, and you have all the rest of the team that shows up. And I'm sure they might have had prior engagement, so let's not say that, but whatever. But if you're trying to build a chemistry and a like, you can tell that the other guys that were there together are building that chemistry. So I think that you need your two big strikers or your two larger known people on the team to start participating with other people to get the chemistry going as well. I think that would benefit all of them. So laddie, get on that. 1s I think we have a player engagement coordinator or somebody that's coming from charleston battery. That maybe that'll help. Yeah, kind of hope anyway. So let's wrap this up. Do you have anything else you might want to say? Carol got called up and yay ray got called up to their teams for international play, but thank goodness we won't miss either one of them in September, so that'll be great, but good for those two dudes. Yay ray's a good guy. I didn't know he was that
Kara

I actually I actually noticed what he did last night, which before I didn't get a chance but to so he looks so much like carol. So when they're both out there, like, I just interposed one of them. So this time when carol came out, I made more notice of, 2s yeah, but they both look similar in many ways. He was all over the 1s like he was down in the final third. He was everywhere. And he made sure he made a couple key kicks out of bounds that we needed him to do. He helped clean out. And so that was good to see him get in there and just he's so fresh and so clean. He's just so pretty, so pretty. 1s And him out. We got all the blonde headed kids out there now. You got Enzo, and you got Carol, and you got Camille, and you got Yeray, and you got your Brex. Look at this. Our field.
Bridget
34:34
Our field. We got them all, and it's hard to see them. However,
Kara
34:37
I do want to say that Yeray, I think we'll get there. I think it's his chemistry. We just gotta we just gotta give him time. Just give the man time. We'll
Bridget
34:45
see. Well, he's gonna but then he's gonna leave. He's got to go to sand or so that doesn't help me out.
Kara
34:52
He's got more time. We've got him for a while. We'll just have to wait and see what he you know, we're going into Nashville, so we have to hope we get some energy and bring some more of that spunk.
Bridget
35:04
Oh, my gosh, I just hope we don't embarrass ourselves. I'm sure we won't. I'm sure that we'll go out there and we're going to do a good job and we're going to win this game. Please. I'll take a tie. I'll take a tie of c I'll tie FC all
Kara

day. Know if anashville beat to it's going to be some more attitude. We gave them some considerable attitude last year, so it'll be interesting to see what all right, so anyway,
