A fake charity commercial. A Twilight Zone vibe. And a question that won’t go away: how do intelligent, thoughtful people end up defending leaders who keep breaking promises right in front of them? We start with “Help Rescue a MAGA Today,” my parody PSA inspired by those ASPCA fundraising ads, then use it as a launch point to talk about political polarization, media literacy, and the psychology of belief when identity gets fused to a movement.

From there, I get blunt about what I see as the pattern: promised wins, rising costs, public chaos, and an endless hunt for explanations that keep hope alive even when the evidence cuts the other way. I also talk about how hard it is to sit down and discuss any of this rationally, because for a lot of people, admitting they were lied to isn’t just a political shift. It’s a personal injury.

It seems as if as if there's a portion of this country that's been brainwashed that is unable or unwilling to see what's right in front of them. And and I mentioned this and I made a parody. I made this video that I put out yesterday called Help Rescue a MAGA Today. So I got the idea for my video the other night. It was 4th of July, and for some reason they were playing a marathon of Twilight Zone on I don't know what channel it was. But it was like 12 hours of Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone, which I happen to love, Rod Serling and his writing and that show. And every commercial break, they played one of those wonderful public service fundraising campaign marketing commercials for the ASPCA. You know, the one with Sarah McLaughlin's song, The Eyes of an Angel. And the dog with tears coming out of his eyes, you know, one eye is welded shut because somebody took a soldering iron to it and all this horrible, disgusting crap that people do to animals. And it just it was on all night. Every commercial break was an ASPCA. And I thought, wouldn't it be funny to make a video? You know, a direct response advertising commercial, public service announcement begging people to help save Omega because they're tortured, they've been abandoned by their commander-in-chief, they've been lied to, they've been misled, they've been abused. They've been abused, my friends. So that's where I got the idea from. And here's the here's the video I made. And this this is called. I titled this Help Rescue a MAGA Today. And I'll cue it up here. They were promised lower taxes, no new wars, more jobs, lower prices at the gas pump. They were told they'd be winning. Winning so much, they'd get tired of winning. Now, let's think about this for a second. This is not this is a parody, but I'm basing what I'm saying off a fact. President Donald J. Trump stood in front of each and every one of us during his campaign and promised us no new wars. He did say he said we would be winning so much we would get sick of winning. He said people would be saying, please stop, we're winning too much. He said those things. We all know he said those things. Okay, so let me continue with the video here. But they're not winning. As a matter of fact, they're losing. Losing their jobs, losing their savings, losing their pride, and in some cases, even losing their teeth. Abandoned by the commander-in-chief they trusted. Many spend their days wandering from one news channel to another, searching social media, waiting for the next explanation, the next promise, the next miracle, still hoping someone will tell them everything is going according to plan. And okay, my perspective on this parody is assuming that there's some people that are kind of questioning what's going on, and they're aware that they've been abandoned, and that they're aware that they were lied to. Okay, so that's kind of what this was based off of. So just keep that in mind as I continue to play this. There's just about another minute left of this. They don't understand what happened. They believed, they trusted, and now they've been left behind. For just a few minutes a day, you can help rescue an abandoned MAGA supporter. Offer them compassion, offer them understanding, offer them a hot meal, a cup of coffee, and maybe, just maybe, a few verifiable facts. Because no American deserves to be abandoned after believing someone who promised them a better future. And President Trump did promise us a better future. Now his first term he was going to drain the swamp, which he did not do. And the promises he made this term, none of them were kept. Not a single promise was kept. Every single promise he made was a lie. Every single one promise was broken. Every single one. There's no new jobs, inflation is up, groceries are expensive, people can't afford anything anymore. It's gotten worse. It's it's just gotten to a place where it's almost laughable how bad it is. This is not hyperbole. This is fact. Can You Talk Rationally About It

it possible to sit down and discuss this rationally with someone who supported the president? Now I'll tell you this: I did not vote in this election. I do not vote anymore. However, when I saw Mr. Trump almost get shot in the head, just like 9-11, I went, Oh, those bastards, they tried to kill him. I got, you know, I was just like the typical person out there. I was infuriated that someone tried to take his life, and I believed everything I saw that day. Now I'm not gonna go down that road because there's a lot of speculation as to what really happened in Butler, Pennsylvania. But I was behind Trump and I believed everything he said, and I was pro-Trump, and I was sitting here going, oh man, this guy's gonna do it this time. He's gonna go into the White House and he's gonna turn it upside down and he's gonna get people to do what he wants them to do, and he's not gonna he's not gonna pull any punches, and he's not gonna take any bunk from anyone. And the man walked into the White House, and almost immediately everything was a lie. And and the first thing he did was send in the National Guard and troops into places like I think they're in Springfield, Ohio now, because of the alleged illegals there that are eating dogs and cats and stuff like that, and ducks out of the ponds and stuff like that. None of that has ever been proven. I even have friends that live down there, one says, Oh, it's true, and the other says, No, that's not happening. But it depends on your belief system. And what I find immensely perplexing are the people I know personally that I've known most of my life, some of them I've known almost all my life, very intelligent, well-spoken, thoughtful, with good critical thinking skills, refuse, absolutely refuse to look at the evidence that's presented to them and believe that anything other than what they believe in their heart is true. They will not they will not listen to any evidence. There's no way you can sit down and reach them and talk with them. It's like they've been brainwashed, it's like they've been hypnotized. It's like their minds have been erased and they're in some type of retractor beam of logic. The logic has been taken away and they've just become illogical. And I can't figure out if it's maybe maybe the truth hurts that much that they could not believe that they were lied to. Most people I meet have a very hard time dealing with reality. It's painful. I know how painful it is. I am an expert of knowing how painful it is to face reality every day and know that the decisions I made and the beliefs I had at one time when I was younger were absolute and utter lies. And they sent me down errant pathways chasing after certain things that weren't even achievable. I was lying to myself, I was lying to the people around me, I was delusional, I was unrealistic. And then one day I woke up and I went, oh crap, I've been living in a dream world. And to try to reach people who really believe that this man in the White House is out for our good, just completely baffles me. And I made a comment, or somebody made a comment about this video that I made, and said they said to me they'd rather find a cure for TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome. And let me let me address the the the elephant in that what I consider to be the elephant in the room. This man right here, President Donald J. Trump. And I don't this video is from six years ago. So I believe six years ago would have been 2020. And so it's an older video. But but let me let me preface it with this.

I was born again Christian at one time. I wasn't exactly holy roller, I still I still have my Bible. I still read it every now and then because I do find certain verses in the Bible to be inspirational. And everybody I know who is a textbook Christian, a born-again Bible thumping Christian, if you sat down with them and said, What's your favorite verse in the Bible? Their eyes would light up, they'd puff up their chests with pride, and they would rattle off Luke, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, whatever it happens to be, you know, chapter six, verse eight. They they would note verbatim and they would rattle and shoot it at you like a machine gun. But they would throw it right at you as if they were throwing a grenade at the devil with such pride that they had overcome such evil and been replaced with the light of Jesus Christ. Now one of my personal favorites or was a personal favorites was Ephesians six eleven about the armor of God. Can I recite it to you? Verbatim? No. But I know it talks about putting on the full armor of God to protect you from evil or or or against the devil's evil schemes, things like that. But I know that, and I used to love that verse. But when Donald Trump sat down and was interviewed on television on Bloomberg, Donald Trump unable to name one verse from favorite book, his favorite book, the Bible. Guys, I'm not being judgmental. This is not being judgmental as a Christian. This is using your critical thinking skills. Look at this man. He is professing to be a Christian. He professed to be a Christian, has had people pray around him in the White House during this term. He has said, I'm a Christian. He says the book is his favorite Bible, but he listen to this interview.

This man, if he was truly in his heart, believed in the in the the Bible, especially the New Testament, was Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior, he would have at the tip of his tongue in a moment said the verse and the chapter and what inspired him and the Christian upbringing he had. But his God is money. But the Christian people I know will not listen to it. They will not believe it. They have more faith in Donald Trump and standing by him and backing him than they do have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He's bigger than Jesus. To these people, he's bigger than Jesus, yet he's done nothing. He has lied to you. He is broken. Every every promise he made, every single one of them yet you stand by him. And I am so perplexed by this. I am so there's not even words to describe. How bizarre this is.

Donald Trump addresses the annual Values Voter Summit in Washington. Oh, imagine that. The Value Voter Summit was an annual gathering of American social conservatives. This is from Chat GPT. And then they got this from Wikipedia. So it's right from Wikipedia. Primarily made up of guess what? Evangelical Christians, politicians, activists, and advocacy organizations. It was first held in 2006 and was organized by Family Research Council and is affiliated and its affiliated political arm. The conference was typically held in each fall in Washington, D.C. And its purpose was to encourage political participation among conservative Christians and to promote policies centered on opposition to abortion, religious liberty, traditional marriage and family, limited government, strong national defense, conservative judicial appointments. The candidate who had some recent struggles explaining his faith brought his childhood Bible for all to you, for all to see. If you're a Christian whose Christ is in your heart, what does your heart tell you when you see this? So let's play this. Let's play a little bit of it. That was an energy drink. And I felt the love of something greater than me and you and this earth. And the one thing I ask you to do, regardless of your faith, is to pray for this man because there's something that has happened to him, and he's not been born again. Something abducted his soul and his mind, and I don't know if it's the blue and white country or what it is.

And it's it's as if like I started this whole ASPCA spoof because I was watching the Twilight Zone. And I kept thinking, this is MAGA. Because it's it's almost like this is like an episode of the Twilight Zone. It makes no sense. And I'm I'm desperately waiting for Rod Serling to come out from the shadows and say, Peter Tompkins living in an alternate universe where the commander-in-chief lies, and everybody loves being lied to. I mean, this this is like an abuse of marriage. And we're we're his spouse, and most of you like being abused. I think you like the abuse you're getting from him. I don't know how you can't see it. It's not the media. The media didn't spin this. The media didn't make up the war in Iran, did they? Did the did CNN make up that we bombed Iran and the Strait of Hermuzes closed? No. Did the media make up that we invaded Venezuela and kidnap their president? And no one's heard of this guy since where did this president go? Is he living under Donald Trump's bed? Did the media make up that he wants to take what, Iceland or something like that, or was it Greenland? He wanted to invade. Where does he come up with this stuff? Did the media make up the Epi files? No, they're real. They're authentic, documented, classified files that have been doctored. They've been doctored. So none of us can read who's in it. The media didn't make this up. This is not made up. This is real. This is real stuff that he's done and said on camera. And military men and women have died in the process of his lives. People have lost their boys and girls because of his weird behavior and taking over countries and running around like a bull in a China shop. What is going on, guys? And how come you can't see it? I'll leave you with this, man. Life hurts, man. Life life is filled with pain for all of us. And right now, millions of us in this country alone are feeling the effects of this administration and this economy. People can't pay the rent, they can't pay their mortgages, they can't pay their taxes, they can't buy groceries. They're debating on what do I do, buy food or do I pay the rent? That's not winning. And he doesn't mention that. He just goes on and raves about himself and how great he is. This is not a a Christian man. Christian men do not stand there and boast about their accomplishments and who they're gonna murder next and invade next. Wake the fuck up.
