Speaker 1:

okay, guys, I am so excited to jump into this conversation today. We have a fabulous guest. We have bridget james link, the freedom queen herself, and so I know that you know that you probably introduced her than I can. So, bridget, could you just let us know who you are if anyone hasn't met you before?

Speaker 2:

Minnie, I'm so pumped to be here. Hi, everyone listening in. I'm Bridget James Ling. In 2020, I started a business called Move and Manifest and it was a dream that I built in my New York City living life, and I decided to move and manifest my own life and quit my job and buy a one-way ticket to Costa Rica, and I ended up falling in love with a man who was on a very similar journey that I was quitting his job and building his own business. At that time, we met at this small little town in Costa Rica and within two months, we were living together and since then, we've both built multiple. We've both built multimillion dollar, companies were engaged and we have a house now in Costa Rica. So it was like that moment where I just never looked back again and sold everything I owned in New York City and decided to go on this journey. That was much bigger than I even thought I could have ever done.

Speaker 1:

So beautiful. Congratulations, by the way. Okay, so you're sharing this message of freedom with so many powerful women. I've speak to a lot of women who really they crave that, but they feel crammed in and I'm sure you can relate to this because you did quit your job. They feel crammed in because they feel like they have to stay at this job or they feel like they don't like the city where they are, but they, they don't know how to get the, the funds to move, or whatever it is. So what would you say to people who want to embody that freedom, queen energy, but they feel pushed down by their, their external situation right now?

Speaker 2:

Freedom is an inside job. You can quit your job all you want and you can try and work for yourself all you want. But freedom is internal, because when you're logging into that job every single day and you're thinking to yourself, this is all I can do, that right there of this is all I can do, that thought, that programming, that wiring, that's the problem. It's not your lack of knowing how to make money outside of a job, it's not your lack of skillset or whatever you're telling yourself. It is the thought inside of this is all I can do. I'm stuck here. That is keeping you there. And it's the same thing even when you become your own boss and you're growing the company to your first $10K, $100k, $1 million a month. It's all inside that jumps you to the next level. It's a very, very small percentage of it is what you're doing. It's actually how you're doing and how you're see yourself.

Speaker 2:

So if you're in a job right now, I want you to start repatterning your body and your mind to be a powerful woman. And so how do you do that? Well, one thing is like plugging into this podcast every day that you're listening to, getting connected to other people that have a reality that you desire, because everything is just a mirror back to you. So if you're around women that are millionaires, that have the business that you want to have, the life that you want to have, your brain it's like a little secret hack. I love the human brain because you can just hack it. It's so simple and easy.

Speaker 2:

You just hang out with women that have what you desire and we, our mirror neurons, start firing off inside of our brain and you'll start to become like them. You'll start to have that amount of money and be making those things because like attracts that amount of money, and be making those things because like attracts like and we, our brains are naturally designed. We, we operate in a herd mindset. And so you get around women that are like you. You're going to start becoming that person. I used to think it was just like oh, people would tell me that because they wanted to sell me something. But now that now I actually have lived it and know it, I'm like oh, this, you know, this is why I go to conferences. This is why I host a annual conference for multimillionaires and women who want to make big money, because when you're in person with people, that makes you become her. So that's that's exactly what I would be doing if I was still in a job right now and I needed to get out of it.

Speaker 1:

I think that's a really powerful now and I needed to get out of it. I think that's a really powerful point of what you said about being in person and how those mirror neurons are going to be working and all of that sort of stuff. Was it conferences? That was kind of your first step of being like okay, I'm starting out. I'm not a multimillion dollar business owner yet.

Speaker 2:

Where do I find these people? Was that your way in? Or how did you do that? A coach cold DM me. She had what I wanted At the time.

Speaker 2:

She had my dream six figures per year working for herself. She lived in LA and New York City and would go back and forth between the two and that was better than what I had at the time. And she asked me do you want to work with me? And I think it was like $800. And I thought that was a lot of money. Okay.

Speaker 2:

So I called my mom and I said mom, should I do this? And she's like absolutely yes, you should. And I got an extra job. I didn't make an excuse. I found the way, because that's what winners do. And I hired her and she didn't teach me anything. She didn't. She never like pulled up a framework and was like now you're going to do this and this and this. What she did was help me see myself for who I really am and she helped me rise and look at myself and go. You're so much bigger than this, you can do so much more.

Speaker 2:

And then I started. My life started changing. I started making more money. I started, I left that job. I got a new job in New York city. That was a part of my freedom plan Like. It allowed me to start opening up more doors. And then I started listening to more podcasts and books. And I started listening to the like the Lori Harder part podcast. You know to that podcast and Lori Harder's now coming on our podcast. It's like you know. I started listening to these things and getting in, like books and just getting courses. I bought like a 12-week course. I'm like I'm gonna do everything and anything that I can to learn this information because I had so much programming to reprogram.

Speaker 1:

I love that your mom was so supportive as well. I was like, mom, I think I'm going to buy this thing. It's like 1,200 pounds. And she was like you're crazy, don't do that. That sounds like a scam and changed my life. Wouldn't be here today without it.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, sometimes you have to not listen to people as well, which is again being that, being that winner, being a powerful woman okay, I love this. So you're getting out there, you're listening to the books, you're listening to the podcast, not listening to the books. Reading the books, listening to podcasts, you're taking the coaching, whatever it is. How about, then, the feeling of excuses that that I noticed coming up for a lot of people and I know that you seem like a powerful woman, right, as you said, like you just led yourself, even when it wasn't, it wasn't normal.

Speaker 1:

You could have made excuses, you could have waited around for a better time, but you didn't. Do you think that that's just something that you're born with, or do you think that's something that people can teach themselves to do If they notice that excuses are constantly popping up in their head? Oh, but, but she's prettier than me. Oh, but she has followers. Oh, but she lives in this place, which is better for whatever it might be. Is that something that you think you're born with, or can you? Can you work on that?

Speaker 2:

You can work on it, but there are people that do have something inside of them that they're born with. I think that there are certain women that can go farther than other women because inside they have this little thing in them. But if they don't light it, if they don't get that spark going, it will not happen. And if you're listening to this and you have that little spark in you, like you just know, you know inside that you're meant to do something bigger than you have that thing that I'm talking about. It's an inner knowing, and it can be so small, it can be like the size of a mustard seed, so tiny, but you're like I just know it. And but it can be buried, like from. You know, when I graduated from college and moved to New York city, if you would have looked at me, you would have been like you know, she's going to make $50,000 every year for the rest of her life and she's going to be in debt forever and never get out of this and and so it's not obvious. But you can change your life, and you can if you have, but if you have that belief inside of you. And again, it can be so small and it can only be there for one second of the day out of the entire year, but it's in there within you. It's like the force of nature, it's like God's within you. But then you have to start developing it and growing it and getting around people, women, other powerful women that have that and see it within you. Like you have that, it's clear. You can just tell it about people. You have this. I can tell it many of this energetic thing about you. It's like this, you can just tell it about people. You have this. I can tell it many of this energetic thing about you. It's like this woman can go so far and you get around people that lift you up and help you rise to that level. You can radically transform your life.

Speaker 2:

Like, if you think I'm not pretty enough, you know my my team always jokes with me. They're like I thought you got plastic surgery over the last couple of years. Like you look so different. I're like I thought you got plastic surgery over the last couple of years. Like you look so different. I'm like I've never done anything cosmetic, I just fell in love with myself. Like there is nothing hotter and sexier and more beautiful than a woman who is in love with herself, because she will take care of herself in a better way. You will care about yourself in a much better way. Like if you watch my videos when I first started. Till now I am radically different looking. It does look like I had plastic surgery.

Speaker 1:

Glowing. Honestly, yeah, I mean, I think there's nothing that can convince you more of the power of energetics and self-love. Just physically looking at that difference of a woman who was doubting herself, who was not fully owning that worth that she has, and then looking at her afterwards when she's like leading herself, it is like it's a glow up. It's a glow up.

Speaker 2:

It's so cool to witness.

Speaker 1:

I love the human transformation it's beautiful and so that that spark I totally resonate with what you're saying and I want also anyone who's listening to know that don't think that that spark is any less valuable just because you also are struggling with like procrastination, or you have some self-doubting thoughts, or you had like a troubled childhood and you're dealing with the trauma of that right, like whatever you're healing through doesn't diminish that light that you still have. That power is still within you. You can still act on it and move with it yeah, that's so true.

Speaker 2:

Like it's two people, one person, there's two people. There's a story of like the two twins with an alcoholic father and one gets really successful and the other person doesn't. And they're both asked why do you have the reality that you have today? And they both say because I had an alcoholic father and one used the father as the excuse and the other use the, the father as a way and that, and and if anything, if like I was actually just thinking about this last night many successful entrepreneurs usually went through something crazy as a kid. Usually you went through some stuff that was really difficult and that's the reason you are where you are today. And it's like, if you are going through those things, the biggest thing that you can do to heal yourself is to win and to become the most successful and happiest and healthiest and most beautiful version of yourself that you can be.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely. And I think that after those crazy things that happen, a lot of times you notice that like you don't fit in, and a lot of times that's where the self-doubt comes from as well, because you're like, why didn't I fit in with all these normal kids at school or the people in my job in with all these normal kids at school or the people in my job? And I think that when you like listening to a conversation like this, you can realize that is literally my superpower. Why, why should I want to fit in when I could be like this sparkly, millionaire, badass woman? Why would I want to be normal?

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, yeah, like you'd never fit in. I never fit in. I like I tried to join a sorority and then I disaffiliate it because I was like and then I tried to join art school and I was like you guys are too artsy for me. And then I tried to join like a like a football type of school. I'm like, ah, to football, like I don't want to do football, like it's just that like those are traits of someone who's going to be really, really big, because you're like I, you cannot be put in a box.

Speaker 1:

You're your own lane, yeah, and it's so beautiful to see you leading that example for others, and I always. I think I've heard you speak about like speed a couple of times and I see that you move fast, so what could you share with us about how you lead yourself in a way that you're able to move at a speed that is like beyond average?

Speaker 2:

Well, you need to start collapsing the time between when you get an idea and you move on it. So what a lot of people do is every day you're given an idea from God idea, idea, idea, idea. But if you don't move in it, you're never going to go anywhere, if the only thing that matters is that you move on it and take an action. So when I get the idea, I will move very quickly on executing it. Very rarely will you see it take. You know nothing will ever take more than two weeks. No, even two weeks for me is like that's a long time.

Speaker 1:

I love that. I mean, I think every single person listening to this can just think in their life like what have I now been taking longer than two weeks to do? What idea have I been thinking through, planning, strategizing, healing for longer than two weeks? And what do they do with that? They identify that and then they just decide that this is going to be their new standard, would you say.

Speaker 2:

And then they just decide that this is going to be their new standard, would you say yeah? And well, yes, decide and start taking a small action. It doesn't have to be big, you don't have to go out and dominate the world in 24 hours, but take one step and one step and one step and next thing you'll know, you'll start building momentum, which I am obsessed with, momentum. It's like you just start taking these actions, the compounding effect will start to work for you and happen for you.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely, and I know that, like the momentum or the compounding effect hits you in the other way. Right, you skip your morning routine, you just procrastinate, you have a like Netflix binge and then, like three days later, you're like looking for your will to live and where's your motivation to work on the business again, and all of this sort of stuff I've seen happen with so many people. But it's always positive to hear that that same law, that same momentum is going to be what pushes you forward so much quicker when you take those baby steps.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. And it doesn't have to be so big, it can just be one little thing like go to the gym on the treadmill, then go the next day, walk on the treadmill, lift some weights, lift some weights and do some squats, like then just start adding onto it. And it's the same thing in business. You know, somebody a couple of months ago said to me I'm going to launch this podcast and it's going to be so good. And then a month went by and they're like I haven't launched the podcast and I'm like what, what are you doing? Like, and the reason why it's not so much about the podcast, but it's about the delaying of the action, you know why are you still waiting to do those things? That's what I'm more concerned about. I could care less about you launching a podcast. I'm more interested in the psychology behind why you're waiting, because if you're waiting to do that, you're also waiting to do other things in your life as well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I think that Another reason why acting with speed just really benefits us is something energetic of you receiving that idea, you receiving that download. That's the divine moment when you received it for a reason and I believe that you have just. Whether it's like the mindset or it's like the world needs it at that moment. Whatever it is, there's something powerful about delivering it at that time. And if you wait like one month, two months, three months, you start to notice like the idea doesn't feel as exciting anymore, or there's now some complication that wasn't there before, or now somebody else has launched it as like what, exactly what you were thinking of doing? There's just. It's like that is your energetic portal to deliver it when you get the idea. So I think that the speed is really important.

Speaker 2:

It's everything. Because if you think about it this way like who's more valuable, someone that made a million dollars over 10 years or someone that made a million dollars in one year one is moving faster, so the value is better for the person that made it in one year than 10 years, because they did it in a faster amount of time and you live more, the faster you move, and it's like Kairos time. Kairos is where you it's. It's more so focused around being. It's not linear, so it's not. There's a past, present and future.

Speaker 2:

It's in the moment you're experiencing life to the fullest, and what happens when you live in Kairos time is that you're so you're living life so to the fullest right now that you experience more of life, and the faster you move in this moment, whatever it is that you're doing whether it's putting on the biggest event of the year, launching your podcast, selling your offer, putting your job you'll likely feel the most alive that you ever have, which means you'll get more wisdom and experiences out of life, and you will slow down time the more that you experience it. But in Kronos time, where it's just kind of chronological, what happens is is time goes by so quickly and you seemingly haven't done anything. This is why you'll hear people say like oh, time's just moving so quickly. It's life is passing me by. It's like that's not my reality. If your life is just passing you by, year after year, you're not really living.

Speaker 1:

That's really powerful. Okay, and how it sounds like you're not getting caught up in making, like delivering these in a perfect, finished, finished package, which, of course, can slow people down. So when you have that idea, is it self-trust that allows you to not spend a month like trying to polish it?

Speaker 2:

I have gotten in the beginning. Yes, it was exactly that. In the beginning it was just do it. You know, I didn't have the resources, the funds, the team, the energetic capacity to perfect. I didn't have that. Now I will say as we're scaling the company, I do put more emphasis on quality. So in the beginning it was more quantitative. It was like just make the post, put out the content, upload the podcast, post the video, drop the offer. Now, as we're scaling, I'm more so focused on quality. Why? Because I've already learned the skillset. So if you don't learn, if you don't know the skillset of like, let's just say, making content, you need to make more content.

Speaker 1:

You're not good at it.

Speaker 2:

yet you know there was a time anywhere, this was. This was 2022, where I I literally became unrecognizable. This year, I post it 10 times a day.

Speaker 1:

Really I didn't know that that is repetitions in.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because I was bad at making reels and I was like, well, if I want to make good reels, what do I need to do?

Speaker 1:

I need to do more than what other people are doing to get better at it and were you creating those reels like on the day, in the moment, or was you batching, or how did you do?

Speaker 2:

that I mean I was just non-stop obsessed with my work, so I was just all the time creating content.

Speaker 1:

I love it, okay, and I was gonna say something. It's lost me. It's lost me, yeah, but there's no way around it. You have to. You have to be in the game. I've been having this conversation a lot this week, so it's funny it's coming up now, but there's just no way to plan around it. There's nothing you can do. If you study, like tennis videos, and like write about tennis for a month, you're still not going to get the same progress that you would if you were just getting on a tennis court with a tennis racket in your hand and hitting that ball around for a month Like there's no way around it. You've got to be in the game, yeah.

Speaker 2:

That's such a great example. Yeah, it's like I was just talking to someone recently. They were like, yeah, my, you know, I don't know how to sell an Instagram stories. And I said, well, for the last two months, how many times you've been selling on your Instagram stories? And they said, well, I haven't. And I was like, well, there you go. Simple, you need to start, you need to start talking about some stuff. And you know, obviously there are frameworks and strategies, but you got to just start putting yourself out there and trying, because that's when you learn. I love that example. Minnie, that's so good with the tennis.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I think that, like, what I'm taking away from this, this conversation is like, like I noticed, in all areas of life, it's really this, the simplest basics that you just have to keep coming back to and master that, okay, you need to be surrounded by people that are further ahead, they know how to do it. You're having people that are able to, like, guide you and fine tune what you're doing, and then you're doing it a lot. Yeah, like I think that's a infallible strategy there to to move forward. Okay, one last question then, to wrap up If you were starting again, if you were starting again in your business, in this journey of just because I think that business is really just a reflection of, as you said, like what's happening internally, so are you the start of your journey of just internally and externally leveling up? Is there anything that you would do different or any words that you want to say to anyone else who feels that they can relate to where you were back then those years ago?

Speaker 2:

I would have jumped in who I was surrounding myself with. So, as an example, when I first started, I kind of hired people that were relatively close to me. You know I would have started hiring people way further ahead. I think people hire people that are close to them because it feels safe. But you're just still at, you're just wasting time, Just jump. You can just quantum leap. You don't have to take it like, you don't have to climb the manifestation ladder, you can just leap to where you want to be.

Speaker 2:

And one of the easiest ways to do that is by hiring people that are way further ahead than you like. You know, as an example, I hired this is what happened in the early. I do that now. Like now I hire people way ahead of me. Like own a hundred million dollar companies. I was just at a mastermind event. Everyone in the room is making a hundred million minimum, multiple hundred millions, multiple a hundred million per year. And the thing is is like when I first started for the first year, I would just hire people that were close, but then I would pass them immediately. And some people do that. You know they hire people that are too close to them and it's like go get with the person. I see so many people hiring people that make them comfortable and I'm like, like what you're actually capable of is going way, way, way further ahead. So hire that person that you know is like way ahead of you and it will make you jump.

Speaker 1:

I love that. I think it's a lesson on not keeping yourself small, and I think that extends to everything that you do as well. So thank you so so much for sharing. Where can people hear more from you?

Speaker 2:

Bridget James Ling on Instagram number one, and then every year we do an annual conference. Hundreds of women fly from all over the world Moms from Australia, New Zealand, China, Brazil, like literally all over the world to spend four days with each other in Florida and it is November 20th this year in Tampa, Florida, and so if you want to get your ticket to that event, we'll put a link in the show notes where million women that are making millions are in this room Remember we were talking about the mirror neurons when you're sitting at a table and someone next to you is making so much more money than you and you're learning from them and strategizing like you're going to make so much like the women after freedom queen live 2024, every woman that was in that room blew up in their businesses by being in that space. So get your ticket for Freedom Queen Live 2025 before it sells out, and we'll give you a special link in the in the show notes to sign up.

Speaker 1:

That's amazing. Yeah, I'll put all the links in the show notes for everyone, and thank you so much, bridget. I really enjoyed this conversation, oh my gosh.

Speaker 2:

Benny, you are freaking amazing and thank you for having me on my pleasure.
