Mr Vegas would have given an amazing show. So you're saying he didn't?
Speaker 2:give an amazing show.
Speaker 1:Not really, because I don't know what the fuck he's saying, but I'm having a good fucking time. You know, that's the energy we need. Baila malo pa sabon.
Speaker 2:Like it's whatever. When you walk through the door, leave your fucking problems outside, leave your ego behind and just have a good fucking time.
Speaker 1:To just enjoy at the ending because that's where you came from. Be'ele. That's so stupid. I'm like when you said I don't want to let me down.
Speaker 2:I thought you were talking about production.
Speaker 1:Oh no, no no, no, I was like yo, what the fuck? I'm talking about the crowd. I always talk to the people. You know me.
Speaker 2:I talk to the people.
Speaker 1:That's wild.
Speaker 2:Have you ever been to?
Speaker 1:Bonaire, I've never been. Oh, we shut down House of Periodico. That was like a Wait what? Yes, hey yo, what's up? La Chemistess.
Speaker 2:Guys, welcome back to the ABC Islands' favorite podcast, no Filter in Paradise, a show about anything and everything between two friends. One is straight and the other is a blueberry bat bitch with a big forehead. Oh fuck you, I saw your pose. You're like it's getting bigger. And now? That I'm looking at it, it looks bigger and crooked.
Speaker 1:It probably is.
Speaker 2:Yeah, my hairline is on the side. Yeah, but is?
Speaker 1:that normal or just your barber fucking it up? No, my hairline is on the side, it's just. It is what it is. Oh, it is what it is. There was only like one Listen on the side. So it is what it is. My nephews roast me all the time. Shout out to my nephews, by the way, okay, Okay, but hold on. You asked, yeah, no.
Speaker 2:Guys, before we continue, if you're new to the show, welcome. Our Curacao station just ended and that means we have a lot of new people here on the show.
Speaker 1:We, when you go, when you go, I love you Corso, corso, corso I don't know, but you go With the majority.
Speaker 2:I think 70%, 80% Of our episodes Are in English. Yeah, but, corso, obviously we have an exception Depending on the guest, but when there's no guest, it's the English type show. It's the English type show. We talk a little bit about everything. A little bit about everything and anything, and we cover life, politics, money, trends, gossip, life, it doesn't matter, like whatever we feel like talking about, that's what's gonna happen, yeah, so welcome to the show and thank you for subscribing. Come through how should we start? We haven't recorded I know it's been crazy.
Speaker 2:So that means if we haven't recorded, that means we haven't recorded in two and a half months. This is our first show back recording in a new spot new studio so where should we start?
Speaker 1:let's start with and I know you're gonna get to get a little bit pissed off at this but how's the house? Wow, Because we talked about this before we left.
Speaker 2:Many times I feel like.
Speaker 1:It's definitely one of them that has to come up. What's up?
Speaker 2:The house situation. For those who don't know, I've been building a house for a year and a half On contract. The house was built in seven months. We're currently in month 15 or 16. Oh my God, you always do this. I even ask you do you want another one, because you're going to chug this one? No, I'm not going to chug it.
Speaker 1:Okay, guys, you also fight a lot in this show. That's how you drink fused tea, though.
Speaker 2:I agree, though, when you drink fused tea you have to chug at least half half it Delicious. Quina mora was nante. Oh, your gang loves it.
Speaker 1:Because they don't understand they judge me all the time.
Speaker 2:Hey. Shout out to Fusty. Shout out to Fanta. Shout out to Coca-Cola Sprite Fusty Balashi, why do I look like a Fusty Monster Energy? Shout out to Tropic of Bottling the sponsor, Santu the sponsor.
Speaker 1:Everybody out. You got it. Yeah, I look like a fusty legit.
Speaker 2:I really like these new shots. No, they look nice they look real good.
Speaker 2:So back to the house. Um, yeah, so we're month 15 right now. We're almost done. Now I can say that we had a whole fight anyway, it's not gonna put my private shit out there, but uh almost went to court like type shit. But we had a long conversation and things are not moving again, although, oh gosh, there's, although this motherfucker hasn't been to the house in like a few days now and I'm just like I just I texted him this morning hey, what's the plan for today, bro?
Speaker 1:a few days that left me unread.
Speaker 2:I'm like all right guess we're going back to where we were. Let's get lawyers involved again, but oh man it's okay so how it's almost done.
Speaker 1:Super excited for that so again, we'll probably have an episode in the house. So y'all, y'all get the feel chill out.
Speaker 2:I don't know about that, but yeah, no, it's happening.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, well, how the fuck do you want?
Speaker 2:to have them talk about the whole time and then not get to be in the house if shit hits, hits the fan and we're like yo fuck this studio, Guys, we're in a new studio. So if we're like, fuck this.
Speaker 1:We are in a new studio.
Speaker 2:yes, we're going to record in my living room.
Speaker 1:So talk about this new studio real quick. Studio 6 is no more. That's where we used to record guys.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we were still working on a new name. Um, it's together me, michael, and petite, michael faller, and everyone else petite as well, michael faller. Of course, there's a three of us together running a studio of lots of different things that I mean guys go follow studio six instagram account, because we're probably going to change that name something else.
Speaker 2:Um, they have different things studio six media yeah, um, you can see for yourself, you can. You, I can say whatever I want about this, about this place. But you, who somebody has been to the old place, what do you see? That's different. I think number one's bigger, it's definitely bigger.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's giving more upscale, classy versus. I feel like the other one's more playful and like dark. This is giving a bit more light. It's giving a bit more like I can see professionalism stuff going on in here, way more than the other one that had, like you know, the gaming station and nothing wrong with that. I never said it was nothing wrong with it.
Speaker 2:I even had to sell it. I sold the packing machine.
Speaker 1:I'm just saying the vibe was very different than here, 100%.
Speaker 2:I agree with you. When we came in, we wanted to be a multi-use kind of facility so you can do video shoots, photo shoots, I mean same thing you could have done in the previous one, but here we took it up a notch. You can do a lot more.
Speaker 1:There's a lot more space to work with.
Speaker 2:You can see this one set over here. You can see Shark's background over there. Um, you can also rent this space out for workshops. So, where you're sitting right now, we move everything out of the way. We put like a little stage, two speakers. Actually, this thing behind you lights up in the back, um, and you can, you can fit comfortably, like what? 50 people right, only in this section, going backwards, 50 people. So it's for people who want to do like small workshops. Um, that's pretty much it. We have a this thing behind me.
Speaker 2:There's something behind it which I can't talk about it right now because you might get pissed at me but you'll see we're going to be doing we're going to actually we're going to be doing launching events like a little small party invite marketers, content creators, you know all that bullshit. So it's the name of the game baby, yeah, so super excited for this part. Um yeah, how about you? How's the show going? Update on the show show is going great.
Speaker 1:Show is going great. Um, about to switch up a few things. Yeah, I feel like I'm in a new transition of my life in general. So I don't know, I feel like I'm in a new transition of my life in general.
Speaker 1:I don't know. I feel like I'm in a weird enough to say. I feel like I'm in a rebirth, like I know. I just feel like I'm shedding things. I'm like getting to know myself on a whole different level now, where I'm like okay, what do I want to change? I feel like now I'm going into my phase of the next thing I'm going to do is forever, okay, or not forever.
Speaker 2:It's going to be like I understand what you mean, like, say, if you apply it to me, it was like gusto, I can't be doing goose for the next five years. What I need to my next thing I have to be able to do for the next 10 years studio podcasting, hosting weddings, hosting corporate events, hosting bigger festivals. It's like I'm this is what I'm going to be focusing for the next decade, and then you can For sure For sure, and I definitely want to go more into doing less.
Speaker 1:I don't want to. I don't want to be doing that many things. I don't want that much things on my plate. I definitely want to. I want to retire early. I want to take vacations with my mom. I want to like, I want that life and I know it's available to have, especially like with AI and all these things available now. Like I'm really going to start taking courses and doing all these type of shit, Cause it's helpful. You just have to get on the wave, it is what it is.
Speaker 1:Like you can't run away from it. I hated AI once it just launched, but have you seen how it is?
Speaker 2:now.
Speaker 1:I mean it's going to get worse. It's insane.
Speaker 2:It's stupid. It looks the new Google one, google VO3,. I don't know what it was, but it's sorry. Ridic, you can now create five influencers only on AI, and people will follow those people because they're vlogging in the woods. There's this one with the Sasquatch. Have you seen it?
Speaker 1:No, I don't.
Speaker 2:It's freaking ridiculous. Even Tyler told me about it yesterday. I was like what?
Speaker 1:Sorry, continue. So yeah, that's where I'm at, that's like where I'm at. What happened since then? Oh, we shut down House of Periodico. That was like, wait, what?
Speaker 2:Yes wait, it's not supposed to be news to me, but like why am I so surprised?
Speaker 1:I know that's what I'm still trying to understand, like you knew about this, but like you, still have the place, though yeah, no, I shut down what it was as break it down, because I was even. I was like wait, yeah, no, no, no, no, no. So what butref? Like merchandise, I always said I have really great local support. Uh huh. So like merchandise, I always said, I have really great local support.
Speaker 1:So merch just goes way too. It goes way too fast. So like in a span of like two weeks I'm already sold out this last drop. I was like, okay, you know what I'll do even more, and it went really quick. So then I'm like at a point where it's like, okay, what is the point of having a store If I'm never going to have nothing to sell in it?
Speaker 2:Yeah, so you want to like revamp it. Add some extra shit to it.
Speaker 1:Revamping the whole idea, the whole concept which I kind of started already.
Speaker 2:I see you've been kind of like renting out the space to people that want to. I've been doing a little bit of that.
Speaker 1:I don't want to do too much of that because I really want it to be more of a content house for creators from san nicolas, yeah, so that's kind of like the direction that I'm going on and then just go from there and see where it takes and then when I have merch, then I have merch like hey, it's like a one-stop shop for like that, just like exactly it still has a periolico, but like it could mean whatever you want it to mean.
Speaker 2:It could be so much more. It's a community house. That's the whole point.
Speaker 1:Like I, I've always had a concept for it to be multifunctional yeah but I felt like I just got comfortable in it being a store for merchandise. So I just was like, okay, yeah, the store is running like it's whatever. But then I dropped the other ideas and concept that I had for it. So now it's like, okay, wait, let's take a step back, revamp the shit, the right way, what can we do with the space? And let's make it self-sustainable first, and then the merch can come.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the merch is like an extra bonus.
Speaker 1:It's exactly that To the idea, exactly that.
Speaker 2:I mean I don't understand why I was so shocked. I I mean I don't understand why I was so shocked. I don't know either, because I was trying to find the Sasquatch video to show you and then you said I closed the house per year. I thought, like it happened yesterday. I was like wait, what the fuck? So that's why I was shocked. But you kind of did bring this up to me the right time.
Speaker 1:We talked about it, yeah, when we did the no filter eats for bean corner.
Speaker 2:Yeah, sorry guys, look, look at this.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know this.
Speaker 2:That's fully AI Like I would watch this be entertained. This goes to show like one person can make a whole show from his computer press upload, see it tomorrow and cash it. Put ads in there.
Speaker 1:So you understand what I'm saying, where I'm saying like, hey, listen, yeah, hold up, because everybody's like, no, you're supposed to drop merch, don't let the merch fail, don't let this thing. I'm like, listen.
Speaker 2:You're not removing it. It's more like it's not the primary source anymore.
Speaker 1:And I can put all of that in my marketing and just be like, hey, listen, I'll do something like this for Señor Periodico and he's promoting my stuff within that AI. Yeah, start learning. What I am starting hard Sam Did you find a course or something ChachiBT helps you with everything I'm like, hey, can you give me a reliable source? I want a good one that is going to give me all the details. How can I learn? I don't want something that's too long. I said exactly what I wanted and I got a few recommendations.
Speaker 2:How do you know when somebody is talking to you or sending you emails and you know it's? You know it's chat should be.
Speaker 1:How would you know? Oh, there's numerous things. Uh, I hate it when I find out like the lines I feel like the the format of the texting like. So the way you do it's worded, I'm like, especially depending on who it comes from yeah, I'm like you ain't that wordy motherfucker.
Speaker 2:What are you doing?
Speaker 1:shut the fuck up, miss me with that bullshit bitch. I know you don't talk like that you said this to me. I know you, I know, don't do that. Not me, though. Not me, no, no, no.
Speaker 2:But I'm like, don't do that. But 90% of my emails usually I use chat GDP.
Speaker 1:Everybody does, though, just so I get an idea.
Speaker 2:I just write it as ratchet as possible. Boom, and then I copy-pasted. Here's a little trick. Well, it's not a real trick, it's more like common sense, but it's like number one remove the stripes, put a comma. I would throw some Papi Mento words in between, because that's how we talk sometimes and maybe I'll make one spelling error. It's like oh, I made a mistake. This guy is definitely writing his own.
Speaker 2:He's a little stupid. I love that Like. I love that like on purpose. So if you ever get an email from me and you see a mistake, who's laughing now? Okay, that's how I make sure like people don't think that.
Speaker 1:Okay, so I got a tip from a guy a few days ago. I don't want to put his name on blast because, like you know, he's still in school and he's still using this shit, so I'm not going to put you on blast, but thanks for the tip. He was like listen, you could tell Chad GPT not to put the lines in it for you. Oh yeah, so then, like you don't have to worry about that, that's very true. Why did I think about it?
Speaker 1:I was like damn okay, that's not that was not bad, because he's like he does it for school. So he's like, hey, yo no lines.
Speaker 2:No, this, don't make it sound like this like do you type or do you use voice when you talk to the chat? Jp.
Speaker 1:I type okay, but a lot of my friends talk voice is so much I don't use it sometimes Tyler does.
Speaker 2:He'll sit next to me. He just starts talking like what, like chat? I'm like, oh, okay yeah, he just talks back like it's a normal person and gets a real response my friends have like full conversations with it, this guy.
Speaker 1:He was like yeah, so I'm, I'm trying to figure out how to bring up my girlfriend and I'm like what is wrong with you? And he gives her a name like she has, like a full-on name stop.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm like wow, I'm gonna start using chat to deal with confrontations like oh please do, please, can you reply to this nicely, but also bitchy? I couldn't do it. You've been watching this show for a long time, please do you know that? Me and confrontation aren't the best.
Speaker 1:Y'all don't even linger, Like y'all even come close to each other.
Speaker 2:It's annoying, I try.
Speaker 1:You don't, I don't try hard enough, I don't even feel like you try honestly, but go off.
Speaker 2:No, all right, all right so let's switch it up a little bit. Ai great, awesome, use it. I want to talk about our next trip. So Curacao, just finished, we're done.
Speaker 1:Which was amazing, by the way. Shout out to everybody that came to Curacao Like y'all did, y'all's big ones, okay, I appreciate y'all so much. I love the love for Curacao. I just love the island in general. I I appreciate y'all so much.
Speaker 2:I love the love for Curacao. I just love the island in general. I like going back now, day back.
Speaker 1:I don't know. It's like the ghetto thing that the people say when somebody's locked up, when they're locked up.
Speaker 2:Yeah, um beta verru. Um beta verru or some shit like that Um beta verru.
Speaker 1:I don't know my nigga, Stop asking me. Make me repeat it.
Speaker 2:I'm only saying hey, if you want to see Curaçao go correct. Shark by name.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I know the ghettos here say it too. Okay, I've never heard it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think it's like it's like a Free my Nigga type of shit, oh so. I'm just saying like you know like I'm like locked up in. What was I going to say? Yeah, so a lot of love on Curacao. Honestly, I enjoy it. We're actually planning. No, I won't say planning. We want to go back later this year for a third time, for sure, maybe North Sea Jazz Fingers crossed, because flights are already like gone for that time. So, ctb, if you're listening, if you're listening to CTB.
Speaker 2:send a video to someone. Please Come through. Let's go back to the car, Okay so.
Speaker 1:What's our next trip? We've been talking very much in our openings. Y'all been hearing it for years. Yeah, we can't be the ABC, abc's favorite podcast.
Speaker 2:And we know we are yeah, y'all know we are too, and we know because the analytics shows it. All right, the abc are there. It's like aruba corso holanda, boneiro right.
Speaker 1:So it's kind of disrespectful because we've never been to holanda, but we've never touched Bonair Never.
Speaker 2:That's wild. Have you ever been to Bonair? I've never been. I've been once, like 10 years ago.
Speaker 1:I've never in my life been.
Speaker 2:Never.
Speaker 1:Never. I've always heard a lot of stuff about Bonair.
Speaker 2:They say Bonair. When I went 10 years ago it was very quiet. There's not, but we were having conversations and apparently Bernat has changed a lot. So now I'm curious to know how Bernat has changed, because I've been there before a friend of mine told me.
Speaker 1:He was like, listen, you you're gonna love it and you're me. He was telling me that I'm gonna love it and I'm gonna end up wanting to live there. I'm like, damn, I don't know.
Speaker 2:I don't see it because I Things have changed.
Speaker 1:I don't know If it's peace and quiet Type-ish, then I might love it. It is Because I don't go out much.
Speaker 2:I like dinners. It's fucking quiet, that's what I'm saying. Like there's like we even talk to people Like, hey, like nightlife With the Akhmasha Giban, I would love it.
Speaker 1:Because not even in Curacao. I don't think I go out.
Speaker 2:got much time either. I don't do it as much anymore, but you love it still this month. I will. Tori is visiting her family. I'm going out. No, I'm just kidding, I'm joking, I'm not.
Speaker 1:I mean I am, You're going to be lit. I'm telling you.
Speaker 2:I always make that joke but, I'm not, I'm not, um, I'm not gonna be going out that often I don't okay, I believe you.
Speaker 2:So back to the main topic, which is, guys, we're finally finally touching base with bonair. We are flying in exactly 15 days we're gonna be going to bonair. So if you know anyone or if you guys can hit us up not hit us up comment down below or send us a DM or a message me personally, or Shark personally. What are places we should try? What are beaches we should go to? What are the things that we have to do? Shit, what else Like. Who should we interview?
Speaker 1:We have a few people in mind.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we need to do that for sure. We have some people in mind already and confirmed already. But you know, the bigger the list then guarantees that we're going to go back again, which we know.
Speaker 1:we're going to go back again, we're definitely going back Like we haven't even touched down as yet, but we know we're going back for sure because Bonair has been the support so far I feel like has been immaculate.
Speaker 2:And we know this because they were here. They came for Miles's birthday party. Shout out to Miles. By the way, what's up? Miles? He's coming. He's coming to Bonaire. Excited for that Sander told me Justin is coming as well.
Speaker 1:Oh shit.
Speaker 2:Justin Neeson from an old podcast. We did two episodes with him. We told him we're going to Bonaire, so he told someone hey, get me a room, I'm coming as well, so that's going to be exciting.
Speaker 1:Shark's excited.
Speaker 2:Oh, I am. I think you're the main reason he's going Most probably, most probably Justin loves me. No, but I'm super excited to go to Bonaire. We're going to go there from the 25th till the 1st. First we fly back to Aruba. We're going to be doing eight podcasts, A charity event. We're doing a charity event we're hosting a charity event. Who are we? We're going to be doing two vlogs which, by the way, speaking of vlogs, we have some Curacao vlogs coming out as well.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, we were supposed to release it during the Curacao seasons, but and some Curacao no filter eats, which also never made it to the front of the congregation, but they're coming.
Speaker 2:They're coming.
Speaker 1:Aza, don't try to blame him. Don't do that, don't do that.
Speaker 2:No, I'm not going to lie. He already has two vlogs done. I believe we have to just go through it, because there's a few things. There's a shot. Did I tell you about this one? He said there's a shot. There's a shot that needs to be ashamed, because I know people are going to roast me for it. And we put the camera down there and you just see me like I'm just adjusting my pants and then we're talking. I'm like why is that in there, aza? Why?
Speaker 1:why, I, why, why? I mean, maybe you were saying something interesting at that point.
Speaker 2:No, I wasn't.
Speaker 1:Okay, then yeah.
Speaker 2:No, but there's some things, minor things we're going to have to adjust, but those are coming out. So we're doing two vlogs. In Bonaire we're doing some no Filter Eats. We're going to apparently one of Bonaire's number one restaurants. So, you got invited. Invite us for that yeah.
Speaker 1:We're not going to say too much right about now. Cause y'all need to be like surprised and shooked, yeah, when y'all see us pull up in a Sri Lanka. Sorry, you're so slow. It's a Nicki Minaj quote. Oh, the queen of rap right here, her, her, they could never so here, her, her, they could never so.
Speaker 2:um, yeah, so excited for that. Let us know who should we interview guys and what should we do?
Speaker 1:what else? Nothing else about baner. That's it just excitement. Honestly, I'm just really, really, really excited to go. This time we're gonna have a videographer.
Speaker 2:Yeah, tyler's coming ty ty yeah, tyler's coming with us. Usually my wife travels with us because we know we need an extra suitcase. I'm like you know what? Extra pair of hands, too, let's go. But this time we said we want to do things more, not that we don't do it seriously, but having more like a person is going to be filming us because it's hard for us to be vlogging.
Speaker 2:Actually, it's hard for us to be vlogging with Absolutely it's hard for us to be vlogging with these cameras. Take it to Kiko. While I'm talking, we're talking to SZA like it's kind of disrespectful, it's annoying, and I'm trying to talk to you but at the same time I'm vlogging. So Tyler's coming with us. He's a videographer, he's going to be filming everything we do.
Speaker 2:So we can focus on the content itself. Um, so yeah, excited for that, very sure. And last topic for today, guys, very short episode um, flip-flop, let's talk about that. Oh, what was your experience? Like? Um, it was good. I mean, I heard, I heard a lot of people complaining here and there like it wasn't, it wasn't good. I'm like what do you mean? Or are people saying it's bashi, bashi? Exactly, wait, what was bashi? Because there was 11 000 people, bro, like, where were you standing? Where were you facing?
Speaker 1:the ocean legit. That's the only way it could have been because, like um, that's crazy.
Speaker 2:My experience was great. It was a pleasure for me to host it again. You know, flip Flop is the first festival I've ever hosted in my career ever in 2013 and it's always great to MC with Chris.
Speaker 1:He's iconic legendary.
Speaker 2:It's fucking Chris Trigg just put some respect on his name and keep it pushing. 100% dude has a fucking voice. Yeah, super exciting. Had a great. 100% Dude has a fucking voice. Yeah, super exciting. Had a great time, drank a lot you know, what I mean. A little nervous sometimes before going on stage. You.
Speaker 1:You being you Okay, so you were excited for Mr Vegas. Yeah, how was that for you? It was all right.
Speaker 2:Maybe it's also because I'm also behind the scenes and I'm seeing everything happening Like hey Samir. Maybe it's also because, like I'm also behind the scenes and I'm seeing everything happening like hey Samir, I don't see how to say hey Samir, so you're not going to experience that fan base, like from a fan base, like stuff correct.
Speaker 2:I wasn't in the crowd like Tori was in the crowd, like everybody was in the crowd like you're. Only the only thing you have to worry about is paying attention to the artist. What's? Samir Karabissaki mentioned our sponsor and I'm not the music. The speakers are all blowing towards you guys, so I don't have the same like wow, you know, but overall I had a great time. I was surprised how batshit crazy people go for a bird sound. No, no, no, no, no, no. What the fuck is that? The fucking Bailey?
Speaker 1:sorry, I don't know what that is. I'm sorry, were you even at the concert?
Speaker 2:yes, I was. You know, there was like a bird sound every time. Shark, what were you? Okay? Were you mentally at the concert?
Speaker 1:hell yes, I was having a good time exactly, but how did you not hear like I didn't come from.
Speaker 2:To be honest, I'm gonna just keep it all the way above, like I was not paying attention, like that.
Speaker 1:I just had a great time I was with my friends. Everybody was around. We were just having a great time. My family was there, I was lit, I had a great time and, like I said from the get-go, I'm not going to see anybody specifically, I'm just going for the experience.
Speaker 2:I love the social gathering of it all.
Speaker 1:Everybody's outside, everybody's dressed up.
Speaker 2:Oh my god, I haven't seen you in a while.
Speaker 1:How have you been? Like, hey, I'm with that person conversations I love, I just love to kiki, you know. So that was what I was there for. I was. I would have to say, though I was pissed off at Aruba. Everybody disappointed me in the sense of yes, because I felt like Mr Vegas would have given an amazing show.
Speaker 2:So you're saying he didn't?
Speaker 1:give an amazing show. Not really because okay. So the setup for VIP this year was way bigger, so the VIP tables were big, like that area was very big. I think it was 100 tables. That means General got pushed back even further, general were. I feel like those people would have vibed with mr vegas's energy way more than the vip tables, because they came for bailey specifically so they were on everybody that was performing. They were on like okay, okay.
Speaker 2:So I'm gonna put a little pin there, because I I do agree with you. This is something I've always said. People in the vip, I'm not ungrateful guys. So if you ever see me the vip, don't hate on me, but I but I'm always going to be someone that's like high energy, like people some people, not all are just there like great, they just don't care, like they're there to be there, not to enjoy the moment, you know, and maybe they're too proud or. But I don't have ego. I don't know what ego is, but I don't know. Like bullying, whatever, I prefer to stay still and not get judged. Bro, have a good fucking time. It's a fucking concert bro it's Mr Vegas you're going to VIP.
Speaker 2:You're going to. You're a VIP, you're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP. You're a VIP.
Speaker 1:You're a VIP, you're a VIP you're a VIP, you're a VIP, you're a VIP.
Speaker 2:You're a VIP. You're a VIP you. I was surprised when this guy did this fucking from like I'm getting goosebumps, that feeling because maybe in the crowd you don't feel it, but when you're standing against, the crowd and they scream towards you.
Speaker 2:You're like holy fuck, this is crazy. But also like I understand what you mean now with when you said I don't want to let me down. I thought you were talking about production, oh no, no, no, no, I'm talking about the crowd. I always talk to the people. You know me. I talk to the people. That's why I was a little confused. I'm a people talker too. I talk to the motherfucking people, okay, okay that makes sense now, yeah.
Speaker 1:So I was like, damn, that's a bit fucked up, because and even in his performance, because me and my friends we were talking, shout out to um quincy, um, he, we were talking, we were like, damn, this man is throwing on classics 100%. And he's like hey, I'm just like dancing in the fucking background. And you see, he's like wheel up, wheel up, wheel up, wheel up. Because he's like wait, the people are not vibing. So he's trying to understand like are y'all not hearing this? Like what I'm playing? So that's why he kept like pulling up all the songs. And then he was like you know what? I'm not even gonna play my songs because maybe y'all don't know it. Perfect, I'll play some classic dancehall music. Not even then the people were vibing. He was like, yeah, listen, I got still got seven more minutes. He dipped, is that? He just let his dj play really.
Speaker 2:Yes, he was like what the? Oh wait, that's the part I didn't even realize.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we were there because I guess, like there's a clock on the side so you can see it yeah so we and we were, our tables were on the side, so we couldn't.
Speaker 1:We couldn't see from the frontal view. We got to like the side view. Yeah, so we can see the clock. So we're like damn, this man still got seven minutes. And he just bounced. He was like fuck this shit. I didn't even realize that his set was just done. No, his dj just kept playing. He was like okay, let the dj play, because he that man came out with energy.
Speaker 2:Like he was 100%. His outfit, too, was dope. Yeah, this is classic dancehall. I was like fuck.
Speaker 1:yes, we about to get it. The people were just not fucking with it. I do agree with you on that part they were not fucking with it, that's-.
Speaker 2:The whole experience, even Tori the business. I'm like, hey, people say we should go to 11. 11? Things start at fucking six, yeah, but in the beginning they say in the beginning it's not very crowded. Who gives a fuck about crowded dude? Go have a fucking beer. Go ahead, there's a food truck. Go watch the sunset. Like you're here to have a good. Get your money's worth as well, like I'm I.
Speaker 1:it pisses me off people nowadays because I feel like back then remember, when you had like the white festival and all these other, like the heart festival, all these other things, yeah, we were outside early like yeah I know from early, like in the hot sun. You're in them beach clothes up until night. Yeah, and it was a great time. People don't want to do shit, no more you know what.
Speaker 2:I really hope somebody does this. I think if they could switch it up and have I want to say general, but maybe let's say standing VIP. So let's say how Flip Flop was this year, right, if where the tables were, that was all standing VIP, right, so that's all standing. Where standing VIP? That's general, and on the sidelines, high decks of tables, and you don't. Maybe you know what I mean. So it's like a big U. So there's a stage and it goes like this and it's vip tables.
Speaker 1:You're up looking in so everybody feels more closer so let me tell you why I enjoyed curacao north sea jazz so much there is no vip tables. They have vip tables yes, so they're on like the side. Other than that, everybody, everybody is general. Yes, you can float wherever you want to. You can go where like it is a festival.
Speaker 2:I don't care what anybody says about festivals, but nobody, I think general will always have the most energy Always Than the standing VIP.
Speaker 1:I always say the same for like Jay Young concerts when I go to these parties and like the bi-label parties, the people in VIP are just always so boring like they're just always on, like some stand around, look around. They want to sing with a cup in their hand like bitch baila, don't be a skunk man. I feel like it's so disrespectful for the artists because, like you see the artists up there like killing themselves, like they're going in and they're like singing. And then these people, just they're like.
Speaker 2:You'll find a few people.
Speaker 1:Yo, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2:Shout out to Laura.
Speaker 1:Like it's a very small group. Yeah. I was out there twerking my ass off and people are just standing around like I'm like y'all need to go home.
Speaker 2:I was running around doing videos and when I was walking by, I was walking to Standing VIP and I was walking by General. Whenever somebody said something popular or whatever the amount of people yelling, I was like whoa, what the fuck that's what I'm saying General entry always has more energy than Way more.
Speaker 2:And as a festival and for the artist to feel like that energy these people flock with me. General needs to be the front, or at least standing VIP, but not as big as you know, not huge yeah because maybe even if the VIPs were high up on the sides like I wouldn't have been mad at that.
Speaker 1:No, like the tables when I say high.
Speaker 2:I mean no, I mean high, Like the floor is maybe. Like this is where the floor is, Like this is how high? So if I'm just standing, here, that's too low. But like your VIP's standing up here, like this is the floor of the VIP standing, remember there's people behind that, as well, no, that's like the outskirts.
Speaker 1:Oh, so like if so like, if there's a stage Like this is a stage right here. But they're gonna be upset Cause they're gonna be like we're on the back, we don't see shit. We need binoculars to see and shit.
Speaker 2:No, no, like this is a stage, vip is here, kind of like Like this this is your standing VIP. Yeah, standing VIP Up here.
Speaker 1:Okay, and then?
Speaker 2:One line over here, that's Fuck Standing VIP, fuck standing VIP. And then the walkway goes through standing VIP into general.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay, I see what you're saying now.
Speaker 2:So you're still in VIP standing, but you're over here. Okay, okay so what you're doing is, then you also create a wall. So imagine, if you're here, you're surrounded by people, everybody. I'm getting goosebumps.
Speaker 1:I feel like that's the fucking way to do it, because then everybody's in unity, not all the way to the back, like I saw the dude, but I didn't feel the energy, or he didn't feel me because they were, yeah, because they were probably going crazy Like Buck and I know for sure Shout out to like my Jamaican crews, because I know the Jamaicans were going buck wild. Okay, they would have ate him up, I'm telling you. But yeah, no, like that was the only thing that kind of pissed me off just a little bit.
Speaker 2:I just want to repeat this guys, we're not throwing any shade on flip-flop. No Well, flip-flop was great. It's the people that went to flip-flop. Yeah, flip-flop was great, like the for the rest of the people, if it wasn't, people just did it for Bailey Like yeah, we're not going to fuck everybody else.
Speaker 1:Fuck everybody else, even Bebe, bad, she was going.
Speaker 2:Bro, she was giving a show. People were just there like Whatever.
Speaker 1:I was like y'all not seeing what this girl is doing.
Speaker 2:I know.
Speaker 1:I was pissed. I was like everybody saying like damn, say you came for somebody without telling me, you just came for somebody.
Speaker 2:Like come on, I want to say some shit, but I can't I don't want to say it off camera, Don't.
Speaker 1:But no, that was, that was to me. That was the only thing that kind of irritated me.
Speaker 2:Same for me, even me as a host, like you know me, and we're like talking like what the fuck was that? Like no energy, like only when we say like hey, then yes, they react.
Speaker 1:but it was, it was a tough crowd, it was a lot of people, but uh, and the crowd that you normally don't really like, which is a lot of locals, is that.
Speaker 2:It's not that I don't like, I know, you don't I know, and the reason why is what we just talked about.
Speaker 1:Exactly that's what I'm saying. That's why you had a big crowd of just that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, this is why I say like there are people there from Canada, from the States, like and I'm looking at them. Some of them were at VIP tables and like they're like I don't know what the fuck he's saying, but I'm having a good fucking time.
Speaker 1:You know, that's the energy we need. Baila malo pasa bom Like it's whatever, baila malo, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2:Just forget your when you walk through the door. Leave your fucking problems outside, leave your ego behind and just have a good fucking time.
Speaker 1:You pay all this money to not have a good time, Like joy at the ending because that's where you came from. Bl. That's so stupid, I'm like.
Speaker 2:This is why I really want to go down to a concert in Carcelo, probably Virgil Lake, because you said there's no, there's generals all the way to the front, which I think it should be like that.
Speaker 1:But North Sea Jazz is different, also because they have different stages, stage you want to be on. So if let's say like your favorite person is now, like when juan luis guillermo was at the main, at the big stage there, hell yes, and people were like dancing bachata they were dancing in the front like couples holding hands dancing space everywhere.
Speaker 1:Ever least she got like some amazing videos because she was like all the way to the front you could move, you could come back, go, like it was. But it was spacious Cause everybody was they. They're coming here to dance, it's only for a good time, like it's nothing about coming here to just stand there and record it. No, get out of the way, cause we're trying to have a good time here and that's what I like. That's what I enjoyed really so much there.
Speaker 2:But one thing I do want to give to flip up as well Everything was on time.
Speaker 1:It was fucking on point.
Speaker 2:Everything was literally on fucking time.
Speaker 1:Production.
Speaker 2:I'm looking at the schedule. I'm like so, like we were good. I'm surprised how Bailey performed for an hour and a half. Most artists come in for an hour, maybe 45 minutes, and they bounce so an hour and a half. Most artists come in for an hour, maybe 45 minutes and they bounce.
Speaker 1:So an hour and a half was very nice. Yeah, I felt like he came in high energy. He kind of like died down a little bit almost at the ending, that he took like a break, that he came off stage and then he came back with like frinta al mar and all that good stuff and then he like brought the energy back to dancing those.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, I like that he had some songs I like. I have never heard these songs in my life, but I was like okay, bailey, do your big one.
Speaker 1:He was like he popped that shit out.
Speaker 2:I was like Michael got some crazy shots Michael Fowler, I can imagine he was all over. He was.
Speaker 1:I saw him editing earlier today him and Bahar shout out to both of them he was editing the after movie.
Speaker 2:Dude did it in 48 hours editing everything, which is crazy. He showed me he's like keep the pants on.
Speaker 1:I'm gonna show you once we're done.
Speaker 2:I'm tweaking. I'm tweaking what the fuck nah, man, it was great.
Speaker 1:The only thing I was kinda like upset with was we were to the side. So normally you mean VIP. Yeah, normally I get. I always stand like the only thing. I was kind of like upset with was we were to the side. So normally, yeah, normally I get.
Speaker 1:I always tend to like to the front so I can like see the production, the stage production, cause that's one thing I feel, like Aruba tops a lot of other places, even big countries, is our visual. Our visuals as a stage as a stage Sharatu, Elite Top Thier, akhmar. Our visuals as a stage as a stage. Shout out to Elite Top tier. I heard everybody was really nice. But they said when Bailey stepped out because he stayed on the platform for a while, some of his first few songs, so we couldn't see. We had to look at the screen to see. But because we're looking at the screen, I can't see the production of how it looks, and they were like no, no, it looks like he was on the ocean and everything was blue, lit up and I was like fuck.
Speaker 2:I'm going to general next time.
Speaker 1:I missed it, like that was the only thing. I was like damn, I really, but he did a great job.
Speaker 2:I'm not even gonna lie, even I enjoyed it.
Speaker 1:I don't know his music, but I just stood there and I was like, okay, we danced to some things he did. Even I enjoyed it. I don't know his music, but I just stood there and I was like, okay, we danced to some things Other times. I was just like that's why I wasn't focusing on like a specific sound, I was just like watching his show, to be like okay.
Speaker 2:He looks like a lesbian. He's got like a pretty face. Yeah, I like how the whole show like it's a concert, 11,000 people and he's just looking at the camera. He's dancing with the camera.
Speaker 1:But then you see, like you know.
Speaker 2:It's like you're there, but he's looking at the camera.
Speaker 1:Which is communicating to you there Exactly. He understands the game so fucking good.
Speaker 2:I just want to show you this. I'm not going to put it on camera, I'm just going to show you this, then show me after.
Speaker 1:No, no, really, sam, we're going to interrupt a whole fucking episode now for you to show me this.
Speaker 2:I want to see your reaction. I want to see it. Let's look at the reaction. Wait, wait, look at this. That's all I'm going to put. Wasn't that trans? Are y'all ready for this? I was going to say like, show me this. Are y'all ready for this? That's some good video, it.
Speaker 1:I was going to say like show me, Are you ready for? This that's some good video. It's going to be. I'm ready.
Speaker 2:I know Michael CZ is going to be pissed that I saw this show this, but it's coming out today or tomorrow, don't matter, you ain't got to be. Anyways, guys, by, follow, by, follow, flip flop festivals who Instagram.
Speaker 2:White people have no loyalty oh, that's nice, I got royalties, I got royalties. Anyways, guys, let's end it here. So a little recap. Flip flop was amazing 11,000 people. I think that's a big, one of the biggest flip flops up there, for sure I think. So Bonaire we're going to be flying in 15 days. In two weeks, we're going to be in Bonaire for a few days. By the time you see it, it's not 15 days, though by the time you see this, it went to 13 because this comes out in two days.
Speaker 2:Okay, then yeah, new studio we're going to be recording again. We got some guests coming up from Aruba and, yeah, I think we're going to do some topics too, like we used to do back in the day.
Speaker 1:For sure, we need to bring that shit back.
Speaker 2:Just like give us a topic, we'll talk about it. It's like it's my fault. A bitch has been waiting. A bitch can bring it up. Whose fault is it? Just bring your laptop and we'll start talking about it. When are we recording? Every Monday, I think. Anyways, guys, hope you enjoyed this episode. We're happy to be back recording after three months, excited for Bruner, and we'll see you guys next week. Peace Bye.
