Aruba Nationwide Cleanup Plan

but I do want to talk about something that's happening this Saturday, July 25th. Um Shrike and I were invited to go to the Prime Minister's office, Mike Eymon. And it wasn't only us, Shekinah was there, Dimitri was there, Anouk was there, um, Aladric Nasbitz was there. Um I can't forgetting somebody. Damn. Anyways, they were there. So they were they were there, and Mike he showed us a video. Shark couldn't make it because he had prior commitments, you can come. So I went representing the filter, and Mike showed us a video about um in Africa. There is a I was waiting for your face reaction. There is a uh city or community or whatever um that do a monthly cleanup. So the whole community it's like basically it's like ingrained in the fucking village or the city or whatever. I forgot the name of the city. And everybody knows at the end of at the end of the let's say end of the month, last Saturday of the month, the whole place comes together, nobody goes to work, it's a day off, whatever, and we they all go around the village, do cleanup, plant trees, like take care of our our our city, our village, or whatever, right? And they they help clean the streets, they help pick up all the trash, and then they dump everything out, and then it's like a half, it's like a four-hour event. And then at the end, they all meet up somewhere and they all like enjoy the rest of the day. Like everybody's having a drink, everyone's enjoying, but it's a community coming together and doing something that's good for the um environment, the area. And apparently, this city or village or whatever in this in this part of Africa, it's one of the cleanest places in the world, which I couldn't believe. So why not? I mean, if you look at the video, a lot of things were like run down. You would think like these people will not have their shit together in a way. I don't know if that's disrespectful or not, but uh that's what I saw. And but apparently, like there's no plastic, there's nothing there, like nothing. Um so that was uh Mike was playing, he saw that and he was inspired, and he wanted to do something similar in Aruba. And from my understanding, I'm gonna be popping some flyers oh here on the side, where he on July 25th, he wants to do like Aruba wants to hold a national a nationwide cleanup. So resident company, schools, clubs, and community groups. Everybody is invited to clean their neighborhood street, property, and other public areas. So you can go whenever you're expensive. Right? I don't have the money to do it. So, from my understanding, is somewhere here on the side that pop up, you'll see different different parts of the barrio. They're putting massive um containers, contain like their trash containers all over the island, all covered by the government. And people have the opportunity like, hey, bank has limpi, has a bukura limpy, whatever limpi, and so and then they take it to ecotech, Celimato, whatever.

Um collection points are um San Nicolas, Kuracabai, Mabon, Brazil, Savaneta, Poche Quito, Mahoma, Barcadera, Wayaca, Dakota, Tarabana, Samala Blanco, Santa Cruz, Hoyberg, Paradera, Piraplat, Clevabo, Orienstadt, Tankalendrick North. So those are all, and then like for example, in Tankeyendri North, putting a field next to Colegio or a bow, Ubali Field, North Community Center, and behind Blue Morris Field. So there's four in North Tankiflip area. In San Nicolas, putting Kresbatterby. Yeah, that one. The water tower in front of uh the Aruba store, umdu behind the community pool, Cascabellafield, Lago Heights, like all those areas, you're gonna, I mean, obviously you can see it over here. So the whole goal, I think it's a really cool initiative. Um because you wanted to clean. So I woke up within chance of paper, like, oh shit, like just sabro walkie, national cleanup. Let me go start me kurazi and put everything in bags. So when Saturday comes along, you just are you gonna either you have to pay for transport or you can do it yourself. Okay. So the goal is they're gonna put all the things around Aruba. Your job is to bring it there. Like we've done half the job.

So there's like this bid going on and this debate, and it's like a whole thing going on. And one of the points that we see all along the island is that since the dump got closed, people are just doing thrash everywhere. I know.
