Let me know your thoughts about “Inspire to Rewire" or if there are any other topics you'd like me to discuss. Your feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

What does it truly mean to awaken to your authentic self? Far from being a single "aha" moment, awakening is a profound process of peeling back layers of conditioning to rediscover who you were before the world told you who to be.

The journey of awakening can feel paradoxical—peaceful yet chaotic, liberating yet challenging. When you question your beliefs, patterns, relationships, and identity, it's not a breakdown but a breakthrough. You're not losing yourself; you're finally meeting your true self. This episode explores how awakening naturally leads to alignment—that state of harmony where your thoughts, actions, and soul all speak the same language.

Most of us live in misalignment without realizing it. We feel chronically tired, disconnected, and stuck in lives that don't reflect our hearts. These feelings aren't random—they're your soul calling you back to yourself. Your life as it stands right now is a direct reflection of your internal world, which means you have the power to transform it all by shifting your inner landscape.

Through personal stories and practical guidance, I share tools to support your awakening journey: mindfulness, journaling, shadow work, following joy, finding community, and embracing solitude. The most important relationship you'll ever have is with yourself, so approach this journey with curiosity, compassion, and patience.

Whether you're just beginning to question your conditioning or already deep in the process of transformation, this episode offers a roadmap for navigating the beautiful mess of awakening and finding your way back to wholeness. Subscribe to Inspire to Rewire for more conversations that challenge the status quo and empower you to create the life you truly deserve.

Speaker 1:

This is Inspire to Rewire, a space where we explore personal growth, spirituality and conscience living. I am your host, gerona, and today we're diving into something that's not just timely but actually timeless. I want to have a conversation on awakening and how that, often and slowly but very steady, leads to alignment. So what does it really mean to be in alignment with yourself? What does it really feel like when you're waking up and truly waking up to your life, your soul and your purpose. I would like for us to unpack this together because I really feel like an awakening is often misunderstood. It's not just a one-time moment of clarity. It's actually a process of peeling back layers of yourself. It's a journey and a process of remembering who you truly are. Before the world told you to be, before you were conditioned to suppress your voice and to shrink and to numb, you were actually awake and you were very present and you were curious. When you were younger, when you, from the age of zero to seven, you live in altered states. You are very curious about life and you are very loving towards everyone around you. You get lit up by the smallest things, like a butterfly or the wind or the moonlight. You were whole. Awakening is the process of coming back to that wholeness, but along the way it doesn't always feel very beautiful. It can be very chaotic and very difficult and very emotional. It can often feel like grief and very much like a storm. It's like you're being cracked open. But this is actually where you are able to let light enter you, when all the versions of you actually begin to dissolve and when you actually start to question your beliefs and your relationships and your patterns and your identity. That's actually not a breakdown, that's actually an awakening. You are not losing yourself. You are actually finally meeting yourself, and this happens over and over and over. There is so many levels to healing and so many levels to awakening as there is levels to everything in life.

Speaker 1:

An awakening is not always loud, it's not always a dramatic moment. Sometimes it's just a whisper, it's just a small shift or a big shift, but it happens silently. It's a deeper understanding that suddenly just clicks into place. Have you ever had a moment where you just knew that something inside of you just changed? Maybe you began to question everything and maybe your intuition just got louder, or maybe even felt connected to nature or people or the universe. That's an awakening, when you feel more connected to the world around you because you feel more connected to the world inside of you. I can promise you from my own experience, an awakening is often messy and I think that we don't speak about this enough. An awakening is hard and it is difficult. It has its moments where sometimes it feels like you're crumbling into pieces just to build yourself back up again.

Speaker 1:

An awakening process comes with loss and with grief. When I say loss, you are losing a part of yourself that you thought were you. You have created certain identities of yourself to be able to survive certain phases of your life. It was a self-defense mechanism, but that's not actually you, it's actually just a trauma response. So when you are releasing all of these identities of yourself, you can feel like it's a. It's a loss, you're losing something because you're losing a part of you.

Speaker 1:

It's a lot of unlearning, with awakening, with the awakening process, and even things I know. I know today. I know that I am unaware of things that I think I'm aware of today. The more you learn, the more you learn that you actually know nothing at all. It hasn't been a moment I have regretted this journey of mine. It comes with so much clarity and so much empowerment, and my soul has expanded to levels I couldn't even bear to imagine, and I know it will happen for you too. See yourself as a tree, and a tree that has a root under the ground right, a tree that is very stable under the ground right, a tree that is very stable, won't be able to crack no matter how the wind and the storm blows, but some trees they break.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people find it to be a little bit scary because maybe they lose their way and they are confused. I think it's a great thing that you lose your way and that you feel confused, because in the moments of confusion you can actually get certainty, because that will take you to a different path of your life to seek certainty and to learn more when you are confused. Hopefully this sparks a little bit of curiosity in you that makes you go down a different path of knowing yourself in a different manner or knowing the world in a different way, because when you awaken, you awaken things inside of you that shifts your whole perspective to your internal world as well as your external world. You start to question things about reality that you never might even have thought about before, but you actually start to look at it differently now because your perception has changed within you. I think that more and more people are awakening. You know the human resonance of the earth is changing and has been changing, and more energy is coming in and we are all energetic beings. So things are happening, you know, on a grand scale, and I think a lot of people are feeling this happening, and then there are a lot of people who are not feeling anything. It's more subtle changes that are taking place. We are in an era of awakening, in the era of love.

Speaker 1:

Through this process of awakening, in the era of love, through this process of awakening, be very kind towards yourself. There is no right and there is no wrong, you know. Be very, nurture your soul and your heart and your body and your mind, because you need to be held, often because it can be very confusing. But remember, to lose yourself or to lose the path, it's not a bad thing. It's actually a good thing, because that means that you're on the path of finding yourself. When you are grounded and you are rooted like a firm tree, no one can push you. Because you know what you know and you know it because you know it inside of you. You have a deeper understanding, you have a deeper knowing. Know it inside of you. You have a deeper understanding, you have a deeper knowing. But it's often that people can be pushed and they start to shake or move because they are not grounded in their beliefs or their knowings, because maybe these beliefs or their knowings has been adapted from society or parents or whatever it might be. They haven't experienced it or they don't have this inner knowing of it, so that makes them a little bit unstable about it.

Speaker 1:

It takes time to unlearn and relearn and actually in the process of unlearning, you are also unlearning yourself and who you thought you were, or you were led to think that you were to actually give space to get to know yourself. We are so caught up in getting to know people around us that we forget to get to know ourself, and I think that that's the most important person in your life for you to get to know is you and understand yourself. So the awakening process is amazing and messy. It's peaceful and it's chaotic. It's liberation and sometimes it feels like you are stuck in chains. So it's, you know, it's a combination of both.

Speaker 1:

It's a journey that has given me my life back, and I have never felt so alive as I do these days or the past years of my life. I wouldn't change a thing, I would do it all over again, and I speak very passionately about it because it has given me. Yeah, like I told you, it's giving me my life back and I just I love my life. I love who I am, I love who I'm becoming, I love what I'm creating. I love my life. I love who I am. I love who I'm becoming. I love what I'm creating. I love everything about it. It's been stormy, it's been challenging, it's been all of those things, but boy have these phases of my life taught me so much about myself and the world around me and the people around me. It's been a blessing, to say the least. So you might ask what happens next?

Speaker 1:

Once the veils actually begins to lift, once the awakening begins, you're actually called to align, and alignment means walking in integrity with your truth. It's when your thoughts and your actions and your soul are all on the same page. It's when you stop betraying yourself for comfort or for approval or for fear of the unknown. Here's how you know you're out of alignment. You feel tired, but not just tired. You're actually drained from pretending. You feel stuck in a life that doesn't reflect your heart. You feel disconnected, even when surrounded by others. Have you ever been in a crowded room and still felt alone? Here is the truth. Most people are living in misalignment, surviving, not thriving, but once you know you have the opportunity to do something about it.

Speaker 1:

Alignment is more than a trendy word in the self-help world. True alignment means living in harmony with your soul and with your truth and your values and your desires and your purpose, because when you are aligned, things just flow and life feels lighter and you are going to be more guided and your life is going to become more meaningful. So the question is how do we know? When we're not aligned and I think that a lot of people actually feel it they feel like chronic stress and constant overthinking and emotional fatigue or a deep sense of being disconnected from oneself, like you're living someone else's life and not your own, like you're doing things just for the survival of it, not because you're loving it or enjoying it. And when this happens, I think that your soul is going to slowly start calling you back. You know you're going to have an inner pull towards awakening, towards healing, towards, you know, wanting to change something in your life, because realignment starts with self-awareness, with slowing down and listening, asking the hard questions Am I living for me or just surviving for the world?

Speaker 1:

There are so many of us today that I would like to say the majority, if not. You know, the hardest thing for us to do is to slow down and to sit still and to be with ourselves. You have to come to a place where you actually enjoy your own company, sit with your own mind, not in front of the TV or in front of your screens, where you are able to distract yourself with other stuff. What goes on in your mind? How often do you pay attention to what happens inside of your mind and your emotions? We are so thought in this world to focus on external things, external goals and jobs and validation and money, but the internal world is actually the sacred space within you. That is where what truly shapes your outer reality is your internal world, your interior, because whatever you choose to focus on, that's what will grow.

Speaker 1:

So I know I spoke about this before and if you continue to focus on the pain, it's just going to expand. And if you continue to run away from your pain and from your fears, they're going to create a disease in your body. You're going to live in unbalance. You're not going to be in balance. To live in unbalance, you're not going to be in balance. The more you go towards your fears, go towards your pain and towards all of these low vibration emotions that might be hard to face, the more you're going to liberate and free yourself. Because when you focus on healing and love and true. That is what is going to expand. And the only way for you to heal or to love yourself more or to be true towards yourself is to run towards your fears or your grief or your sorrow or all of these things that is actually keeping you stagnant from your own happiness or your own liberation. That's why I can't stress it enough and I know I speak about it a lot, but that's why doing the inner work is so important to understand where your fears and your limitations and your beliefs come from. That's actually how we free ourselves.

Speaker 1:

We are not meant to live and stay stuck in fear or sorrow or pain. You were born for joy. You were born for peace and for creation. You are a part of the creator and through free will, you were given the gift to design your reality. But here's the part that no one tells us. You only receive what you are aligned with. Your soul might ask for something and the universe will respond not by giving you what you want, but reflects back to you who you are. That means that your life as it stands right now is a reflection of your internal world and yes, trust me, I know can be very hard to accept, but I also know it's very powerful because it means that you have the ability to shift it all. You are not stuck. You are the change that you seek. Everything that you are seeking for is seeking you, and you feel all of these maybe hard emotions, depression, anxiety, all of these things because you are not aligned with the life that you want to live. You are not aligned with your soul or who you truly are. That's why you feel all of these things. Your body, your soul, your inner being is telling you that something is off, and the only one who can change that is you. If you want a new future, you must start becoming that version of you now, not when the money comes, not when the partner arrives. Now you have to start doing the work for you right now. You are the answers to everything For you. The only one who can be the change that you want is you. So every challenge that you are facing is actually preparing you to meet your higher self.

Speaker 1:

So I think it's very important to ask yourself what belief is the universe asking me to release? What emotions, what fears, what identity of myself do I need to let go of? What is the universe or what is life showing me? Whatever title you want to label the universe, the source, god, like, whatever you want to do you, you call it that, but you are getting showed all the time, even if it's through feelings or through thought patterns or through relationships or through circumstances or situations that happens in your life. All of these things are happening for you, not to you. What patterns are you holding on to? That needs to end with you right now, because you can't find it in your current frequency.

Speaker 1:

The changes that you are seeking you need to change for them to come into your life. Because you need to change your frequency, you need to change your vibrational state, and the only way you can do that is by changing your and often, for us to change our emotional state, we actually need to heal ourselves. We need to look within. So a few people might wonder how do I support my alignment and awakening? I would like to offer a few tools or tips that can be good to start off with.

Speaker 1:

I think mindfulness or meditation is important here. So it's very important to quiet your mind, and this you can do through meditation. Quiet your mind and actually listen to what goes on in your mind and your heart and your soul. What is the inner you trying to tell you? And you won't hear this if you're always keeping yourself distracted. Journaling can be another good thing to get your thought out of your head and onto a paper and just you know. Never judge yourself. Always observe what goes on, you know, and all of the things that is coming out is coming out for reason. So don't be in fear of it or, in you know, in awe of it or whatever it might be. Just look upon it and nurture it as you would nurture a child who's in pain.

Speaker 1:

To do the shadow work means to look at parts of yourself that you've been hiding from and to bring them into light, and that's the only way for you to free yourself, to liberate yourself from certain emotions, because you stay stuck there, because it's actually your choice to choose to stay there, and the only one who can change this is you, by actually facing them and you. It's hard to experience more joy if you're not doing the shadow work that needs to be done. I think that many of us are walking around with masks on and, you know, telling the world that we are something that we actually are not. Our internal being is not in alignment with our external vision that we are portraying into the outer world. Follow your joy. Your joy is your compass. If you do something and it lights you up, it's actually meant for you. So, no matter if this is dancing, going or drawing or, you know, going on rollerblades or being with family, whatever this means watching cartoons, I do not. Whatever it means, do it. Do more of what brings joy into your life. Don't judge yourself for whatever it might be.

Speaker 1:

A lot of the things that we often miss and I think we do less of as we get older is to connect more with our inner child. We stop playing, and playing is such an important key, not only for kids, but even for adults. We should never stop playing. We should never stop, you know, having fun with life. When you go through this process, I think it's very important to find your people, find communities that matters to you, find those people actually speak your soul's language, because this journey is yours and yours only, and there is no perfect path here and there is no rule book for you to follow. The only truth is the one that you have within you.

Speaker 1:

So stay curious and be very compassionate towards yourself, and if you can't find people or your tribe around you, you can find them on, you know, the internet. There's so much platforms and communities that you can find digitally today. So you are, it's easy for you to connect with people. It doesn't necessarily have to be a physical meeting that maybe will come later. You know, just find support through the things that you go through in people. It's always nice to have people who can understand what you are going through and just maybe, you know, encourage you with what goes on inside of you. And a lot of these is also so important to be in solitude. The more you are in solitude in certain phases of your life, the more you get to hear yourself and get to know yourself. And, once again, the most important person that you should have a curiosity of getting to know is yourself.

Speaker 1:

Alignment and awakening are actually deeply personal journeys that I see that most people have some scarcity to go on. There's a lot of people who talk about it but actually don't do the work that needs to be done, and I think that once you scratch the surface with certain people, I think this becomes very evident. Like certain things becomes a trend and a lot of people catch on to that trend just because it's a trend, but that doesn't mean that they're necessarily doing what needs to be done, and the only one who will be missing out on the joys of that work that needs to be done is the individual him or herself. You know there is no one size that fits all paths, because every journey is different and your storybook is totally different than mine. I think that the only key is to remain open and curious and very compassionate with yourself and be very kind towards yourself and understand that you know you can be your biggest critic in your mind and you can also be your biggest fan.

Speaker 1:

Try to talk to yourself as you talk to your best friend or to your friends. Try to build that support system in your own mind. That won't come naturally, because a lot of us are very hard and critical and towards ourselves, but this is a limiting belief that you have that you can actually reprogram. It's literally up to you. It's going to take time, but that's okay. It's going to take patience and it's going to take love and compassion and empathy towards yourself. But all of these attributes are so beautiful for you to experience from yourself, are so beautiful for you to experience from yourself.

Speaker 1:

I wonder. You know what a lot of you think about this. What does alignment mean to you and have you experienced moments of awakening and how has that felt for you and how does it feel for you? Are you scared? Do you feel fear sometimes? Is it uncomfortable? Does it make you want to go the other way? Are you listening to what your soul is trying to say, trying to tell you? I would like for you to just let that question sit with you today and think about it. If this episode resonated with you, if it steered something deep inside of you, please share it, send it to someone who might be standing at the edge of their own awakening.
