Treasures of Our Town Podcast
Speaker 1So you got to do your little warm-up.
Speaker 2Me, me, me, me me.
Speaker 1I'm ready, all right, in three, two.
Speaker 2Do you love to travel?
Speaker 1Do you love road trips?
Speaker 2Do you love finding hidden treasures in towns all over the USA? Hi, I'm Joshua.
Speaker 1And I'm Craig. Welcome to Treasures of Our Town. It's the podcast that explores the unique and charming towns scattered throughout the United States.
Speaker 2Guided by our love for location-based games like geocaching, join us as we venture into some of the country's most intriguing destinations, uncovering hidden gems and local secrets along the way and on today's episode, no guests, it is just josh and myself.
Speaker 1That's it. But we're gonna get josh. We've done some research, and we've done some virtual research and our own physical research as well about the top 10 adventure lab locations in the good old us of a yes, I'm excited.
Speaker 2I'm excited to talk about adventure labs again. Remember we did have a show about adventure labs when we talked about carl's. Remember that, that german uh amusement park that's right, that's right.
Speaker 1There's germans are on there too. The two germans that were good, they were really good. It was hard because he had an american accent, an australian accent and the german accent.
Speaker 2So, yeah, that was good, that was good yes, but this time we are talking about adventure labs in the united states, which is what this podcast is really focused on and, let's be honest as well, it's focused because we use our location-based games like geocaching, adventure labs, that sort of thing to find these local areas.
Speaker 1And what better place I'm going to say it now, josh the adventure labs we're talking about today. They're the ones that we enjoy, they're the ones that we really like, you know, they're the ones that get us to those locations that we wouldn't ordinarily go to if it wasn't for the adventure lab itself. So that's what I like about it.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's, that's so true, and it's always like a bonus because you know a lot of these places are places you'd want to visit anyway, but it kind of gives you even a little bit more incentive to want to visit them as well.
Speaker 1Exactly exactly. But before we start, as always, Josh, we've got to get through our delays and upgrades. Now it has been a while since we've spoken, because I got back from the good old UK recently, so, yeah, so I spoke to you before I went away, then I went away on my trip and then I've come back again now. So I'm going to say, firstly, my upgrade, okay, and my upgrade. My upgrade for this time is literally physical upgrades on a plane like they are. I'm no longer a Jack Dawson.
Speaker 1I will say that I'm up in the premier premium, not first class, because it's international. It's an international flight, so not first class, not the lay flat bit, right, but close enough to it, whereby there's two chairs to the aisle rather than the three like you normally get. You know what I mean. So I get the full room there, the chair legs back, properly. I get my own. You get your own meal with real knives and forks, josh. Oh, that's real knives and forks, like it's really, really cool. So hot meals, drinks, you name it. Yeah, so that's my. I got two, and not just just flying over there to the uk, but flying back as well.
Speaker 2I got double upgrades, double upgrades, mate I feel like you get upgraded all the time. It's not even special anymore.
Speaker 1I feel like almost every time there is a reason behind it, and that's because I'm on the same ticket as my wife and she's the uh, she's the, the, what they call 1k premiere like, because she flies everywhere. In actual fact, she's flying out this weekend, uh, for a whole week for work, so she flies everywhere. She does, like you know, hundreds of thousands of miles every single year, and so they upgrade her and then anyone with her on the ticket as well. So that's why.
Speaker 2Yeah, that's why those middle class seats, they're worth it, especially on international flights, because apparently United is called Premier Plus, but on Delta it's called Comfort Plus. And you know what I like to call it, craig? I like to call it the poor man's first class it really is.
Speaker 1It really is. Um, yeah, because it does kind of feel like you're in a real the upper salon of the aircraft. Those seats, they're just gold, you know. They're so wide for a big ass, big butt guy like me and, yeah, I really enjoy them. I really enjoy them, mate. So there you go.
Speaker 2So that was your upgrade. Let's go to your delay. Let's just let's get you out of the way.
Speaker 1All right, let's get in. The delay is that I'm still getting trying to get scam messages coming through, because my car is still for sale on, but now it's on sale on facebook as well, and so you get these scammers come through facebook saying um, and people out there, if you're listening to this and you've got something for sale on facebook, you probably have the same thing. Uh, you get these messages, josh, I'm not sure if you've seen them before and all they do is they come through saying oh, you've breached the rules of facebook and your account's going to be deleted unless you click this link. Unless you click this link, and uh, and you know, and, and fill out the forms and all that sort of rubbish, like you've breached some sort of rules, and I'm like no, I don't fall for this sort of rubbish. So that's what's been happening with my delay. I'm just sick of them. I'll be honest.
Speaker 2I'm just sick.
Speaker 1I'm like I don't even open them anymore. I can see when they come through and just archive, just delete.
Speaker 1That's so frustrating how long has it been for sale now like three weeks? Yeah, I think three weeks now in total, so, but only only for a week. Uh, on actual on facebook marketplace itself. I've had it on other car sale places as well, so, but the facebook marketplace is this is probably it's a fair, decent place to actually sell stuff. I will say that, yeah, a lot of people do look through facebook marketplace to do I mean, what have you bought through facebook marketplace?
Speaker 2oh, I've bought my peewee herman doll exactly that's true story.
Speaker 1I did buy my peewee through facebook marketplace.
Speaker 2well, we hope that this delay will someday soon be an upgrade.
Speaker 1Yes, and it will be, it will and it will be an upgrade. I'll say that. I won't say any further, I won't jinx it, but there's something coming up in the next four weeks that will be upgrading. So I really want to sell it within the next four weeks, just saying yeah, for sure, for sure. What about you, mate? What about?
Adventure Labs and Putt Shack Upgrade
Speaker 2you? What about you? Enough of me.
Speaker 1Well, I have not been gallivanting around europe and I know I wish I had been um and, you know, got back from germany yes, we could do it.
Speaker 2You know, we could do a whole show about your trip, but we can't because it's not a it's not a us thing. You know, if you want to hear a little bit about craig's trip, uh, you can listen to this week's geocaching podcast, because they you talked about it on there for a little bit about what?
Speaker 1yeah, exactly a little bit, just a small amount.
Speaker 2Yes um my upgrade. Well, a couple weeks ago, it was my birthday.
Speaker 1Yes, it was and did you like that little shout out? Made it before the uh, before the podcast it was actually on the podcast release date too.
Speaker 2I know, that's how cool that was yeah, I downloaded the podcast because I always listen to the podcast when it comes out, because I, I, yeah, I like to listen to you know what we said and relive it. And yeah, it was that very morning on my birthday. I went to my car ready to commute to work and there's your voice wishing me happy birthday. So that was really, that was really cool.
Speaker 2So and I just want to thank, thank everyone who reached out to me and wished me a happy birthday on, like different different social media platforms. Um, that made my day, and and my birthday was on a Monday. So, um, you know, Monday, I don't know. So the following weekend, which was last weekend, Minnesota boy and I, Tim Larson, who we've had all year.
Speaker 1That you all know.
Speaker 2We decided, you know, like he was home, and I was like, hey, what are you doing? He's like, no, I'm just kind of hanging out at home and I was like, hey, let's, do you want to do something? And we hanging out at home and I was like, hey, let's, do you want, you want to do something? And we thought like, are there any adventure?
Speaker 2labs you want to do and he's like, yeah, I don't think so. And he was geocaching in the morning and I said, hey, you know where I wanted to go for my birthday was this new place that they that they opened um in minneapolis called putt shack craig, have you heard?
Speaker 1of putt shack well, only after your messages towards me saying look where we are drinking beer and and playing putt putt golf or mini golf, whenever you want to call it.
Speaker 2So yeah, that's the only time I've heard of it, yeah okay, putt shack, it is a national chain, by the way, so, uh, we're not sponsored by putt shack, but putt jack, if you're listening. Uh, putt shack is a yes, it's an indoor mini golf thing. But get this craig. Yeah, the technology is amazing because you don't have to keep score. It keeps score for for you. There's like little sensors in the ball and in the in the putting greens or whatever, and, yeah, it keeps track of score for you so you can just have a drink in your hand the whole time and enjoy and you don't have to worry about it. And nobody can cheat. And I was gonna say no cheating.
Speaker 2No, there's no cheating, and it was just we did 18 holes and it was so cool and so much fun. So, um highly recommend putt shack for all your I don't know entertainment needs yeah or your, your, uh, special special days or special events. So that was, that was a ton of fun as I was trying to think, okay, what was really great?
Speaker 1um putt shack that's my upgrade for this week and I love, I love some golf. Yeah, quick question for you. I know you do, but in saying that I beat you, I beat you hard too. When we're down in florida mini golf um, that's my claim to fame, only because I don't beat you at anything else normally, like you know, axe throwing whatever we've heard about that is sort of I was so good at axe throwing I could.
Speaker 1I was surprised myself yeah you, you surprised both tim and I, uh, but speaking, did you beat tim? Did tim beat you? Who won? Who won?
Speaker 2I won the first round. Okay, he won the second round and then we didn't have time for a rubber match, so what about overall?
Speaker 1any overall then? Oh, I don't think we looked at it, doesn't?
Speaker 2tell oh, I think he beat me overall because we were very close the first round, so I think he did yeah overall.
Speaker 2But overall and, yeah, he got the less strokes overall well, actually it's interesting that putt check it's a little bit different. They do keep track of strokes, but they keep track of points, because there's several like oh things. So there's even like, if you hit it into like a hazard area, it could be like minus 20 points and like so. Or if you get a hole in one, you get these like bonuses and it's so. It's all like point based, it's not um stroke based. So that was kind of something different and unique about it, wow yeah, that's.
Speaker 1That's really cool, and obviously then as well because it keeps the scores for you. So, yeah, there's no cheating. I like it, it was really cool next time I'm in, next time we're together, we're gonna have to look up a uh, a putt check.
Speaker 2I'm just saying yeah, bro, for sure have to go to absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 1All right, josh, we're 11 minutes in now, so we're gonna get into it. We're gonna talk about adventure labs. Um, now I'm going to tell you. If people listen to this and, let's be honest, there may be a couple now listening to this and they don't know what adventure labs are, that's true. So a quick rundown, people, of what an adventure lab is. It is an app on your phone in which takes you to different locations, and this is exactly word for word. I got it from chat gpt itself, just ready for this. An adventure lab is a type of geocaching experience that allows players to explore specific locations while answering questions or completing challenges at various stages. Unlike traditional geocaches, which typically involve finding a physical container, adventure labs focus on the journey and interaction with the environment.
Speaker 2Wow, I think that's a really good's, really good outcome that is really good and it is connected to, like a geo, the geocaching account, the official geocaching account. So when you essentially get a find with an adventure lab, you also get a find on your geocaching profile, which even makes for us geocachers makes it even more of an incentive to do them.
Speaker 1We do love our numbers. Now, the key features and the key takeaways are number one it's location-based, so players visit a designated area or location, often with historical, cultural or scenic significance, which is what we like. Number two is a digital interaction, so they use your mobile phone smart apps smartphones on a mobile app to access the clues, answer questions or complete tasks, whatever you need to do at the locations. And then it's a number three is flexible format, and that is adventure. Labs can vary in length, complexity, allowing for tailored experience based on the area and the theme of the actual adventure as well.
Speaker 2So you can get just a four points, but if a number of finds only, or you can actually be taken on a full adventure, josh as well, which is what it is cool too, because there's less rules, uh, for adventure labs where with geocaching, with physical containers, there's a lot more rules there's several adventure labs that are inside locations and so they're not quite as limited, which is kind of, uh, just a really neat feature and there's no like review process. So the people that build these Adventure Lab experiences they don't have to have them approved by anybody, they can just create them and put them up on the Adventure Lab app.
Speaker 1And just like our other game as well, munzee, and that is, it uses like a geofencing sort of style. So make sure the device in which you're using is inside a particular regional area before it actually opens up that adventure as well. So that's pretty cool. But overall, josh, you ready for this? I've got some statistics for you. Number one there are over 70,000 adventures in 180 plus countries, and they range from one find per adventure to 10 finds per adventure, so you can get like a 10 find adventure lab, or you can get one fine adventure lab too so they vary, that's cool.
Speaker 2Think about that, craig. That's if you want to average it out, because some are five, some are five, some are ten. Most are five let's be real most of five but that's like almost a half a million, yeah, locations look at, you, look at you doing math and you know I'm proud, I'm proud half a million locations that's, that's amazing that's really cool and it's so cool because this game, this adventure lab game, has been it's created by the geocaching community, which is just really cool. Like these have been created by real people.
Speaker 2Not, it's not anything, you know, that was created by a robot or some company or company, actual players that know about these locations that a real human being that thinks this location's cool has built these things, which I think is really cool. I think people that start like playing geocaching or any location based game, they just think it's like, oh, it's something that was created like a robot or you know it's like, but these were created by human beings, and so I think that's just really, if you really think about that, that's pretty awesome it is.
Speaker 1It is better than, especially when you say, about robots or companies, because they can put their own spin on things. But just for more information too, which I learned today myself while doing the research, josh, that is the listed Adventure Lab. So if you open your Adventure Lab app itself on your phone, if it's got the little blue dot, then that's an Adventure Lab. Point right, the little blue dot. If it's got a little red thumbs up next to it, it means it's actually a highly favorite of one another. It's got over 4.6 or 4.7 out of 5 rating. Uh, for that adventure. So you get those like the highly first year little favorite mark. You know, um, normal labs themselves are just the plain blue dot by itself. Uh, new labs that are brand new, um, they're signified by a white star on a blue dot and then there is paid for like sponsored ones, and they are purple in color and they have a white star on them too, but they're purple, not the blue. So you know that they're a sponsored uh deal. You know what I mean.
Speaker 2So tourism boards and things like that can reach out to geocachingcom and and and get an adventure lab set for themselves to put out so to attract people well, when we last time we talked about this, the carl's amusement park, that was a sponsored one and really high quality, because they were able to also create, create physical, like almost geocache type containers to reveal the the word. And also another one, I know that is a sponsored one that I'd like to do someday is Holiday World, which is in Santa Claus, indiana, oh, which is an amusement park as well.
Speaker 2And they have a sponsored Adventure Lab inside their park, which I think is pretty cool, that's really cool.
Speaker 1Now, josh, people might be saying and asking as well, these two guys, what do they know? Like, what do they know? Who are they to talk about it? You know, I mean, let's, uh, let's tell the people themselves, uh, our little statistics, have you got yours ready to go?
Speaker 2you have more statistics than I yes, because I didn't have full access to the statistic website project gc, that's. Statistic website Project GC. That's the one.
Speaker 1Premium member. I am a proud premium member of Project GC, so mine itself I was going to say mine itself I've got ready for this, josh. 3,206. Lab finds 3,206 lab finds.
Speaker 2What have you got? That's 3,206 locations. Think about that. Yeah, that's a lot of places. That's a lot of places.
Speaker 1That's a lot of places, exactly I have a measly 1,890 lab finds that's still decent. Now I'll let you know as well, and that is if anyone comes to the good old Geo Woodstock next year in West Virginia. They've just put outia, we've. They've just put out russia. They've just put out like this full, uh, geo art or adventure lab art, and it's the shape of west virginia itself and you can get all the finds in one parking lot but anyway that's another. So if you want to really boost your numbers, that's yeah, you get those sort of ones.
Speaker 1You know there's. There's ones all over the country like that too. So yes, um, but yeah, mine itself, because I've got over 12,000 fines now. So mine make up 25 of my overall geocaching fines 25 that's a lot because you have what like.
Speaker 2How many geocaching?
Speaker 112, just over 12,000, 12, 12 and a half thousand now.
Speaker 2So yeah, yeah so for me, I did the math not in my head. I had to use a calculator for this one, but for me it is 23 percent of my total fine, so just a little bit less than you. We're close, though, but close in percentage.
Speaker 1But think about it every that means every fourth fine that we have is an adventure lab very true, very true now these these statistics I got from project gc itself being a premium member. Um, I love these statistics that they give you. So far, josh, out of the 366 days of the year, I've found a lab cache, at least on 194 days out of the 366. Nice, then. My most finds have been in the month of may, and mostly on a saturday, so it makes sense, on the weekend.
Speaker 2A May, on Saturday, that's Geo Woodstock, basically.
Speaker 1Yeah, it is, actually it is, it is. So there you go. All right, the other thing I'm going to say is what makes a good adventure lab? In your opinion, in your mind, what are we looking for when we say about these next 10 that we're going to give people? What are we looking at?
Geocaching Adventure Lab Criteria
Speaker 2What are we looking for when we say about these next 10 that we're going to give people? What are we looking at? I think for me, what makes a great Adventure Lab is a really cool location that typically I wouldn't go otherwise. So it's something like I discover. It helps me discover it, like this podcast is all about discover it. Like, like um, this podcast is all about it. It's really a tour guide to guide you to some places that you wouldn't go maybe otherwise, and in my list I have example of a couple of them that I know I wouldn't have visited those places had there not been an adventure lab there. So, um, another thing I like about them is, uh, if they're, if they're creative, if they really use the environment that they're in, yes, to have um to have a question that you know, that makes sense, and that the answer has something to do with the culture or the history of the location.
Speaker 2That isn't just like it's not just random, but it's.
Speaker 1You're actually like kind of learning something because you're forced to learn it exactly, you're forced to actually read the history of that particular location where you're at. And that's one of my things too, because I'm a hundred percent with you when it comes to the locations. The type of location is the reason why they're taking you to that location, and, of course, it's got to be some sort of educational purposes, you know. But if you get to a location, there's nothing worse. You get to a location you're like, oh wow, this place is amazing. Look at this beautiful castle fort. Whatever you are, the location is absolutely amazing. And then the question is what three numbers are on the plate, on the footpath or the sidewalk? Come on, come on. You already know I'm here because it's geofenced. Do you know what I mean? So give us a question that's related to the actual specific topic of the adventure lab. That's just my opinion. These are just my opinions.
Speaker 1You know, they're not everyone.
Speaker 2The reason people do that is because they're very much in the geocaching mindset. Yes, exactly, because for a virtual cache you have to somehow prove you were there, and the way you prove is some. It can be some random question, but you're right, this is geofence. So obviously you're here because your phone is there, unless you cheat. If you're using cheating apps, which that's no fun, what's the point?
Speaker 1And even still, you can still get away with that by asking a question that's specific to the location in terms of, but learning, you know what I mean. Rather, by asking a question that's specific to the location in terms of learning you know what I mean rather than just you know the plate on the ground or the numbers on the local power pole, you know, I've seen those quite a bit too. It's like, you know, my phone knows I'm here.
Speaker 2You know it's okay, it's okay.
Speaker 1But you're right though. Yeah, it's created by people that are actually in more of a geocaching mindset. You know, to prove that you're here beforehand, you don't need to with adventure loads because of the geofencing. So that makes sense. That makes sense. And the other thing I will say, Josh as well, and that is the questions themselves can't be too convoluted.
Speaker 1And what I mean by that is make them pretty straightforward. Even if you're reading something and it says the fourth line, third word, whatever, okay, I'm happy to to do that, as long as it makes me read and I'm part of it, um, not too convoluted, like you know, what was this person thinking when they did this? It's like, oh, I don't know, and then you don't even get the right, because you've got to get the correct spelling, you've got to get the correct punctuation. You know that sort of thing too. So, yeah, you've got to remember, people, these aren't d5s, you know. I mean, you know typically fives, typically fours. These are supposed to be almost one ones.
Speaker 2You know I mean. So, yeah, I tell you it's nothing more frustrating than being at the location a really cool location and then you keep on putting in the answer and it just keeps on telling you you're wrong and a lot of them like they. If they're sequential, they don't let you continue until you've answered it correctly.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's right. That reminds me. Then you got me onto my other one, and that is sequential. I'm happy with sequential, and if people don't understand what it means is that you need to do one before the other, before the other before the other before it unlocks the others, or the non-sequential ones, unlocks all five and you can do them in whatever order you want. Put them in non-sequential order unless unless josh is a reason to have them sequential.
Speaker 1in other words, if you're telling a story and they've got to be sequential for that story, and being sequential makes the person go along a particular path because there might be a bonus cash at the end of it, and it puts them literally where the bonus cash is going to be, almost you know, I mean yeah, that makes sense, but uh, but when? Otherwise, yeah, put it non-sequential, so people can just do it at their own pace, you know for sure.
Speaker 2So we are going to share our top 10 adventure lab locations top 10.
Speaker 1And for me, for me, craig yep for my five.
Speaker 2We each have five. I have five, you have five yeah I personally have been to every single one of these of these. I have firsthand knowledge of these adventure labs. How about you?
Speaker 1uh, every single one of mine, let me see.
Speaker 2Let me see because some of them I have, that's okay one, one, I'm looking through one, two, three.
Speaker 1Yeah, four out of the five for me, okay, four out of the five. So, yeah, because I was trying to do that too. I'll be honest with you. I tried to do that as well, like you know, because I can then speak for it, and you know, actually, from being there, from doing it myself.
Speaker 2So yeah, for sure. Did you want to go first, mate?
Speaker 1and okay, I'll start. I'll start now as well. These are in no particular order um at all for me personally, I'm not sure you, but mine are in no particular order as such, or did you put yours in order?
Speaker 2I kind of put mine in order. Oh, you would my last, like my last couple, I think, are let me see. He's looking through. Oh gosh, there are some honorable mentions. That didn't make it.
Speaker 1Maybe, oh, I got.
Speaker 2How about this? How about we do honorable mentions for the patrons?
Speaker 1There you go. Patron only honorable mention, there you go, yeah, perfect. We always love our patrons, though, yeah, we must give them something extra.
Speaker 2Okay, all right. Honorable mentions.
Speaker 1I'm going to start with mine now. I'm going to really murder this name of mine. I'm telling you now I don't done yet. It's in New Orleans, in Louisiana, it is called. I'm going to murder it Vokari Vampires.
Speaker 2I think that's pretty good. It's by.
Speaker 1Cajun Caches. It's pretty good. It's by Cajun Caches. It's a five-stage non-sequential. It's currently rated 4.8 out of 384 finds. Now, what people don't understand is that, uh, there's 4.8 rating. You've got to get that ready. You've got to do all five of these stages in order to be able to rate it so you can't do four right, won't you let it rate it? And the 384 are the people total number of people who've completed all five stages.
Speaker 2So that's pretty cool yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1So what this one's about, though, josh, basically is it takes you through the the vampire, dark, deep history of the New Orleans, and it's more of the New Orleans downtown area. So you can imagine it, josh You're in New Orleans with all the whole music and the festival and everything as well, but then deep down there's a dark side to New Orleans and there's vampires that literally sit there and wait for people to get too drunk and then they go out and have their way with you. So I can imagine doing this one at night. I'll say that, and it's, as I said before, it's in the downtown French Quarter sort of area. So it looked really, really cool and I've put this one on my bucket list after researching.
Speaker 2Have you been to the French Quarter ever before?
Speaker 1No, I had to drive past it this year just gone. Yes, when we went down to Bama Rama remember that was the closest I got yeah, yeah, I had to miss it. I had to drive straight past it because I was busy.
Speaker 2It is a cool. It is a very cool place to visit and yeah, the French Quarter, bourbon Street, is something you have to experience, even though it smells like urine, but you got to visit once.
Speaker 1Once, once and get all the beads.
Speaker 2And you know the spooky factor too. I don't know if any of the cemeteries are a part of this, but like downtown, not too far from Bourbon Street, are these cemeteries, and they're all because of the elevation of New Orleans, which is very low elevation all the graves are above ground, above ground In these tombs, and you get a tour guide and you can tour these incredible, incredible graveyards with famous people and yeah, it's all voodoo and creepy stuff, but yeah, it's a neat place to visit and I can see why this one is rated so high yeah, yeah, all right, mike, go on to your first one now all right, my first one is oh, I hate to bring this up, especially as a minnesota vikings fan, and if you don't know, minnesota vikings, nfl football, nfl football.
Speaker 2But mine is at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, wisconsin, which is the home of the Green Bay Packers oh, the dreaded rival of the Minnesota Vikings. But, craig, I was there for work and I was really excited because in Green bay, wisconsin, we've talked about before these the geocack, the geocack benchmarks you and I found one together in florida yes, um, and and in arizona we've completed it with tim, yeah, with tim as well, well, wait, you haven't completed it because you haven't got this one.
Speaker 2No, okay, no, I haven't got that one so this is the wisconsin one, and so I was like, cool, I'll get the geocat benchmark. But I had some extra time so I was like I've never been to or seen Lambeau Field and it is quite a sight to see, it's amazing. It's kind of open to the public, the stadium is.
Speaker 2You can walk right like on a regular. I think I went there on just a tuesday afternoon. You walk in and there's just gigantic. You know the lambo. It's the lambo trophy, like the trophy that they win when you win the super bowl. They have got a giant version of it. It's like the world's largest trophy and of course, it's a adventure lab stage. And then outside of the stadium there are all these statues of obviously like packer players through history. And do you know what I mean when I say the lambo leap? Do you know what I mean by that?
Speaker 2no, the lambo leap is like anytime a green bay packer scores a touchdown, they jump into the crowd and the people catch, catch the football player. And so there's a, there's a statue, that where you can leap, like like. You can leap into the crowd and the statue people, like, hold you up oh, wow yeah, it's like a cool photo yeah, cool, cool photo op.
Speaker 2And of course, that's also adventure lab stage. And another thing cool thing about lambo field is that you can go there on a regular tuesday and you can tour the whole stadium. Like every night they have the lights on on the field. It is like it's a destination. So I was just like I was really it was. This was a moment where, uh, adventure labs brought me there and I would have probably not checked it out, but I'm so glad I did because I was like lambeau field is really cool.
Speaker 1So that's my really cool that's my first one, lambeau field green bay, wisconsin and you've done it.
Speaker 1You've done it too well. My second one I Lambeau Field, green Bay, wisconsin, and you've done it. You've done it too Well. My second one I've done, I've done my second one, josh. My second one is in good old San Francisco, california, and I've been there twice now to San Francisco. The last time I went there is when I actually did this particular adventure lab as well. It is a five-stage, non-sequential adventure lab. It's called San Francisco Highlights by Mr Veal. It's got a rating of 4.7 out of 171 finds, so it's fair decent. Now, it's located primarily around the Pier 39, but the locations at which it takes you it's a good walk. I'm telling you. It's a really good walk Because you're hilly. Who wants to drive in San Francisco? You do not want to drive. It's very hilly. Um, there's no parking and the parking there is is very expensive, so you're better off walking around san francisco. I'll say that. So this one gets you walking around san francisco. Uh, we're talking lombard street now. You've seen or heard of lombard street, haven't you? You've been one lombard streetard Street.
Speaker 2I don't know much about San Francisco, surprisingly enough. Oh really, yeah, it's cool. Lombard Street is cool.
Speaker 1Lombard Street. What Lombard Street is?
Museum and Adventure Lab Highlights
Speaker 1you've seen it in several movies and it's the US's most windy street and it's on a massive big hill and it goes down the hill like a big S S S S, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth and, yeah, the most windy street in the US, apparently. And, as I said, it is an Adventure Lab point. There's a geocache there as well, but, yeah, a lot of movies are located on Lambert Street when they actually come down Lambert Street. Another one is the cable cars in San Francisco. Like, they're very famous for the cable cars, so there's another Adventure Lab point there showing you cable cars and the history of the cable cars. You can then look at the Adventure Lab and it shows you some good photos from yesterday. When I say yesterday, yesteryears, you know what I mean from back in the day.
Speaker 1And then, right at the end, you end on the beautiful Pier 39. If you don't know what Pier 39 is in San Francisco, that's the pier where everyone goes to. You can eat, there's restaurants, there's, uh, gaming facilities, there's all. It's a really, it's a real hub of all that. But out on the pier itself is where all the seals are, so all the actual seals themselves, the wildlife seals, come up onto the pier and they're all making all their noise and stuff. People are there taking photos, and there's also a webcam cache a rare webcam cache, overlooking the seals.
Speaker 1So you get a photo with the seals on from the webcam, which is pretty cool too. So, and you got a perfect view on a good day when there's no clouds and fog.
Speaker 2Yeah, you've got a perfect view to alcatraz from there too oh wow, yeah, yeah, that sounds really cool again the places it takes you locations for me, you've convinced me and you said that you don't need a car.
Speaker 1You can walk to all these locations yeah, no, exactly, walk, walk all around san francisco. You don't want a car in san francisco, it's. It's quicker to walk and cost you less money and it's good for you.
Speaker 2So trying to find parking spots pretty difficult impossible, impossible.
Speaker 1So there you go. That's my second one. You want to bet yours?
Speaker 2all right, my second one and I've talked about it on this podcast before um, but you know there's nothing wrong with talking about it again.
Speaker 2We're going. We're going to memphis, tennessee, to the civil rights museum. Now, the civil rights museum is is the location where martin luther king jr was assassinated. It is at the old lorraine hotel and what's amazing about it is that they've kept the the front of the lorraine hotel, which is like basically a 1960s motel. They've kept the front of it and then they've built the museum around it, around the back. So the the spot where mlk was assassinated. It's still. It's still right there. They've maintained the history of the front of the hotel and built, built the um museum around it and and you can, you go through the museum, which is highly, highly encouraged. The Adventure Lab brought me here and you go through and you learn the history in a sequential way, walking through the museum about civil rights in the United States.
Speaker 2And then the very end is you actually walk into the actual hotel room that has been preserved and you can walk out and you can see stand essentially right where mlk was, um assassinated incredible, incredible history. But on the outside of it is all the history surrounding the situation uh, that happened with the assassination of mlk, so you can actually.
Speaker 2It walks you over to the building where the gunman was and like it, just like this um adventure lab, just immerses you in history and and yeah, the civil rights museum is just, it's unbelievable, it's, it's amazing, it's one of the best museums I've ever visited, and you know, you know, I love, oh yeah, I love, a good museum.
Speaker 1You do? You do? I mean, everywhere we go. People don't know everywhere we go if it's josh and I together. Itself, um, I remember several museums we've been to the uh, what do you call it?
Speaker 2the baseball, the hall of baseball hall of fame museum louisville slugger the louisville slugger museum.
Speaker 1We've been there. We went to the, the rock and roll hall of fame. We even went to the, the one in florida, the uh, what do you call it? The um wizard of oz you dragged me into the wizard of oz museum.
Speaker 2It was it was okay. It was pretty cool.
Speaker 1I thought it was interesting what I liked about the wizard of oz museum, and that is was watching you go through. It was like a kid in a candy store and I was like, oh, here we go there's. So your big smile on your face and you were, you were happy, and then we went into that davinci remember. They had that davinci thing going on as well, with the light show. And yes, you were, you were walking the elevator. It's very immersive. You were walking, that you were. You were skipping the elevator.
Speaker 2Yes, it was it made for a great tiktok video, that's for sure it did, it did another thing I want to say about memphis, tennessee is all the other cool things.
Speaker 2In memphis, tennessee, you got beale street, which also, by the way, had a really cool adventure lab down beale street. You got graceland, you got elvis's home, which is, I believe, also an adventure lab, and you got sun like sun studios, which is where the birth of rock and roll was, where elvis recorded his first album. So if you love rock and roll and history, memphis is where to go. So that's my number two I like it.
Speaker 1I like it. I've just got a uh, a favorable mention that I'll do for the patrons as well. That I just came up with then because it's not in the US, so that's okay. Okay, All right. My number three is in Washington DC and it's called– now, this one here is very unique it's called Novicon. This Is the Way. Adventureland.
Speaker 2Now when.
Speaker 1I say this is the way, I mean Mandalorian, this is adventure lab. Now, when I say this is the way I mean mandalorian, this is the way like the mandalorian, right? Uh, it's a five stave. This one is sequential, but there's a reason for the being sequential uh, because it leads you through a park and then leads you to a bonus cash at the end. There's 4.8 rating out of5, but there's only 26 finds so far, because, as I said, this is a newish one, as I said, it's a mandalorian, it's a space western five, uh, five years after the return of the jedi, when the mandalorian came about, and it follows the adventures of the mandalorian bounty hunter himself. Uh, and, just like the, the mandalorian, it says this is what it says in the uh, adventure lab uh, you get rewarded and adventure will be intertwined as you follow the way.
Speaker 1The way begins at the posted coordinates for the bonus cash. So read the hint. So there you go. But what it's about, though, for this one, for me, and that is you go to a particular spot, like the geofence, and it opens it up. You then must watch, josh, you must watch a YouTube clip. It's linked on your phone and it's the Mandalorian YouTube clip. So you basically get that experience, nice and the Mandalorian YouTube clip.
Speaker 1So you basically get that experience, nice, and it's the storytelling. And then you answer a question in regards to that YouTube clip, so yeah, so that's the sort of style. And then, once you get it right, you move on to the next stage. And again, as I said, it's five stages and each stage has some sort to do with the YouTube clip itself as well. So I've got a similar one to this and this is probably why I like it. I've got two similar ones to this, but the one here in New Jersey it's along the Jersey Shore. Now, you remember the TV show the?
Speaker 2Jersey Shore, of course, of course, snooki, yeah, everyone remembers that.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's the one. What's his name? The other guy?
Speaker 2I don't know, I didn't really watch it much. I know Snooki.
Speaker 1There's another, anyway, someone tell us anyway, but yeah, the one along Jersey Shore. It's based on the reality TV show, it's the same sort of thing as this one, and that is, you go to the location, the filming locations though these are all filmed at the lecture hall, so where their house was and they picked up the duck phone, where they worked, where they even started fights in the pub and the bar, whatever they were, and at each one you open up a youtube clip and it's of that particular location so you can look at like now, and then like now and then you know what I mean.
Speaker 1Um, and then you've obviously got to answer a question from the youtube clip. Now mine, though, it's only rated 4.4. You know what? Because every new jersey people hate the show, and so they're like I don't want to watch this show again. I'm gonna get this a 4.4 you know. So I was warned by Jersey residents by before doing this adventure. They go it's not going to be rated high because we hate the show oh, that's funny there's no one from New Jersey was in the show, so there you go.
Speaker 2I like this because so this is in Washington DC. Is it just an at kind of an average park, like just not much to the park?
Speaker 1yeah, I haven't, I have. Yeah, the park itself is pretty an average park, but it's a. It's a nice, beautiful park. So they've got like a little, uh, a little lake thing there, they've got like a waterfall and stuff too, so it's really nice, um, so it's a nice walk, even without the adventure lap. You know what?
Speaker 2I mean.
Speaker 1So again, it's one of those things whereby, if locals use this park a lot, yes, but if you're not a local, you probably wouldn't know about the park.
Speaker 1It's that sort of thing again, right, um, but to me, this one here is the immersive experience of the storytelling, um, as you do the five stages and end up, and you end also end up with a pretty cool bonus. That's related, the bonus is related to the actual mandalorian, so I love that again, that. So again that there. To me, it's not just a pill bottle under a lamp skirt, this is actually related to the Adventure Lab.
Speaker 2And for those of you that are listening to this and maybe just learning about Adventure Labs for the first time, a bonus is an act. We were saying that these Adventure Lab locations are essentially virtual, but the bonus is an actual, physical geocache that you can only find if you finish the Adventure Lab. Locations are essentially virtual, but the bonus is an actual, physical geocache that you can only find if you finish the Adventure Lab.
Speaker 1And it's technically classed as a mystery cache, like a puzzle cache, because the mystery is that you need to actually solve the Adventure Lab first in order to find the bonus.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1So yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2This one had a bonus with it.
Speaker 1I like it.
Speaker 2I like that. I'll save it for the patrons. I have one similar a couple of them similar to that, the idea of having a video inside like you can only open the video if you go. Yeah, I found some like that, but I'll save it for the patrons. Thank you, patrons. There you go, you're going to get a little bonus bonus.
Speaker 2All right, you're gonna get a little bonus bonus, all right. My third one is I'm kind of cheating here, craig. It's kind of two locations that are very related. Oh, and it and I haven't. I've talked about it pretty recent it was two shows, I think two shows ago, craig, but it's the trolls of detroit lakes and detroit lakes, minnesota and seattle, and so what I'm talking about is those are those of Detroit Lakes and Detroit Lakes, minnesota and Seattle, and so what I'm talking about are those Thomas Dambo trolls that are all over the world.
Speaker 1What about the trolls in Kentucky that we did too?
Speaker 2Yes, well, that wasn't an adventure lab.
Speaker 1It wasn't. No it wasn't, that's right. There were real caches there.
Unique Adventure Lab Locations
Speaker 2Yeah, there were other caches in the park. Maybe somebody has now made an adventure lab since we've been there, possibly. But yeah, these trolls are amazing, I don't have to talk about them. They're all made out of like recycled wood and they were just built some in detroit lakes, minnesota, this summer and they were adventure lab stages. And the bonus here is and I know in seattle they're also virtual geocaches. So essentially you do five of them, you get 10 finds five adventure labs and five virtual.
Speaker 2Yeah, it builds up your number so I don't have to say much more than then. They're just so cool and so unique and a perfect place for adventure labs, because I don't think there's such a. They're're very touristy, like people. Lots of people visit them, so you can't really essentially hide a geocache very close to them no. Just because there is such traffic, they would probably go missing all the time, so they're perfect locations for adventure.
Speaker 1But not just that, not just that, josh, I know if you go to a place and there's a big photo opportunity there, like, for instance, me when I was near the Big Ben, for instance you know what I mean in the UK you want to just take your photo and go. You don't want to hold up people trying to get their photo taken as well. So can you imagine people hunting around those trolls when people are going? Excuse me, can I get a photo? Can you get out of my photo please? I just want a photo, exactly.
Speaker 1So, adventure labs or virtuals are the best things for those sort of things. So, yeah, and they are cool. And again, if we don't, people don't know what you're talking about. Josh, you, you've got a few videos out there in regards to the trolls.
Speaker 2Yeah, and I have my my Detroit lakes video. Um has not even come out yet, so future, but that was nice, awesome, awesome.
Speaker 1All right, I'm going to get to my number four now. Then my number four again, it's a walk. This one, okay, I do like the walks, as opposed to the drive to location to location, okay, just saying this is a 10-stage, non-sequential 10, 10-stage one. So this is a rare one, these big 10-stage ones. It's in Las Vegas, nevada, and it's called the Walk in the Garden. It's done by a geocacher named Gus, just Gus G-U-S. Josh, ready for this. 4.9 out of 5 after 359 finds on the 10-stage adventure lab.
Speaker 2Think about that Anytime you're looking for a restaurant and you look at the google reviews. If, if there is, if it's a 4.9 and there's 359 reviews, you know that's a darn good restaurant exactly and people are probably really proud of their town that they have that restaurant there and that's a rare. Thing that's a rare thing these days wow, you got that in.
Speaker 1Really, you surprised me getting that geez, you got that in real quick. I didn't with getting that Jeez, you got that in real quick. I didn't even see that coming. There you go.
Speaker 2Snuck up on you that time.
Speaker 1You really did. You surprised me. Well done, well done.
Speaker 1Anyway, getting back to this adventure, lab 10-stage, non-sequential, it's a short walk through Nevada's largest botanical cactus garden, so it's only open from 8 am to 8 pm, so there is a time frame there but the largest botanical cactus garden Now, if you choose to go inside and you get a glimpse of the chocolate-making process as well and get free samples of chocolates too. So maybe that helps with the actual points, I'm dare say. But the garden itself is a beautiful garden. Plus, they decorate it for every single season and holiday. So obviously, coming up with Christmas coming up as well, apparently single season and holiday. So obviously coming up with, uh, with christmas coming up as well, apparently it's all done.
Speaker 1Now in christmas themed, you know that sort of thing too. Uh, when I did it was before memorial day weekend, so they had it all very, very americanized, something you know, very the red, white and blue, the stars and all sorts of stuff. So it's really, really cool and it brings you to a very unique and beautiful location because it's outside las vegas, you see. So it's not actually in Las Vegas, it's quite a bit outside. You have to drive there to get to the and know that it's there, and that's what I mean. Again, it's one of the places where, if you're going to Las Vegas, you wouldn't have heard of this Unless it was this adventure level. It was that sort of style. So again, it's one of those things whereby it brings you to somewhere that you wouldn't normally go to and you feel more excited by that yeah, and there's let's be real in vegas there's a lot of like cool places to visit so many a lot of times people don't take time to get out of vegas and explore the outside of it.
Speaker 2Um, I I I've been to vegas a couple times and I've, oh and I've wanted to go to the hoover dam, but I've just never had the opportunity to get out of town yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1All right, mate, what's your number four?
Speaker 2okay, my number four. We visited together it was. It is just such a great memory. We're going to cleveland ohio because cleveland rocks, cleveland rocks, cleveland rocks. Okay, uh, we're going to the christmas story house neighborhood from the movie A Christmas Story.
Speaker 1This was incredible, mate. I will say this I think we've spoken about this before on the show, about this location and stuff as well, but I will say I've said it before I've never saw the Christmas movie at all until I moved here like three years ago so for me itself, it was very new, and I'm like you, josh, I love seeing locations that you've seen on a movie or a tv show. I love that. I love that.
Speaker 2So, yes, tell them more about this, this place well, the cool thing is that the christmas, a christmas story house they what's very rare about it from the movie. They use not only the exterior, which is really normal, but they also use the interior of the house for the movie. So when you take the tour of the inside of the house, you're seeing the inside of what, the of the house, where they actually is in the movie, which is pretty rare when it comes comes to movies and but it's the whole street. The whole street is now kind of taken over by a Christmas story. The bumpus house, their neighbors, that's, that's. It's all owned by one person and you, just you walk up and down the street and each little location in the neighborhood is an adventure lab. Stop and let me just say like it has one of the coolest gift shops I've ever been at Like how many.
Speaker 2I didn't even realize there could be so many souvenirs related to a christmas story um it was awesome we have a we have a video that craig has edited um I put it out. Uh, I think last year on christmas day on christmas.
Speaker 1It was your christmas special last year.
Speaker 2Yes, and um it's just cool especially if you love that movie and most people, most people in the united states have seen that movie. Yes, and it's just cool, especially if you love that movie and most people in the United States have seen that movie a lot, as it's on Christmas Eve for 24 hours straight.
Speaker 1Exactly.
Speaker 2And I would say we have a whole episode about Cleveland. We've talked about this before, but Cleveland, I think, is kind of an underrated city overall the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is there Some cool restaurants. We found some really cool sculptures and statues.
Speaker 1The hot dog restaurants as well that were there. Oh man, we missed out because it was closed, remember. But we researched it. And people, you can have a hot dog with Cheerios on top.
Speaker 2Or Fruity Pebbles.
Speaker 1Fruity Pebbles, like it was some weird stuff, but oh, we missed out I know we have to go back here yeah, we have to go back so yeah, that's my that's my second I like and one, one more thing I do like about that one too josh and that is one of the adventure lab points as well takes you to the local bar area on the corner and then it tells you but that local bar was used to actually do all the makeup and the hair and all that stuff too for the actual show.
Speaker 1So that bar wasn't actually featured in the movie itself, but it was a location, because that's where the staging was for all the actors and stuff as well. So that's really cool.
Speaker 2I remember that it told us about the production of the movie. It was kind of like a behind the scenes. Behind the scenes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1Exactly. All right, mate, I'll move into my number five and, speaking of you and I doing things together as we do, this one here of my number five we did together as well, and you probably remember that it was in Orlando, florida. It's called Lake Nona Sculpture Garden and it's by your friend and mine, coal Cracker 7. Hey and cracker seven, hey, she, uh. And the reason why I know cold cracker seven well is because she's a great munzee player as well, so I know she listens to the show. Prolific, prolific munzee player. So I know she listens. So shout out to cold cracker seven.
Adventure Lab and Geo Woodstock Highlights
Speaker 1This one here is a five stage sequential. It has 4.7 rating out of 84 finds in total and basically it's a sculpture garden that designed to let you explore and discover the different sculptures from world renowned sculptors. Now, these sculptures, josh and you, you know you've seen themselves. There's, there's some that it's like there was that big bull area, you know what I mean, that's something, uh. But then again, there was a lot of these mirrored humanoid sort of style and that we're talking. We're talking 12 foot tall, like these are big, uh. And there were some were dancing with each other. One had a big square head head on it, you know, but they were very mirror finished, you know, like a polished, that polished sort of finish. So yeah, tell us more about that, josh, did you?
Speaker 2enjoy those ones as well. I love this Adventure Lab, and this is a great example of a location that we would have never gone to, or never even heard of, unless it was for Adventure Labs.
Speaker 1Yeah, exactly of um, unless it was for for adventure labs.
Speaker 2Yeah, exactly, I made a tiktok video of it and people from orlando because you know you can set the location and often it feeds people that live in that location and there were so many people that commented on that video saying I've lived here my whole life and I never realized that this thing existed exactly.
Speaker 1I liked it as well, like it was very. It was just off to the side of a, a big hotel yes uh, which is what it was cool, but also the remember the uh, the table and chairs. It was literally hanging from chains.
Speaker 2The table and chairs themselves.
Speaker 1That was really cool too. So yeah, that was the one. That's my number five. Josh down in uh down in orlando, florida all right, that's a good guy.
Speaker 2What's?
Speaker 1your number five.
Speaker 2This is my number five, but I'm going to say this is my number one.
Speaker 1Oh, there you go.
Speaker 2I went through the list of all my adventure labs, which was apparently 1,800. Some locations, which is a lot, and this one was my favorite. We're going to Woodstock Illinois and this is the groundhog day adventure based on the movie groundhog day, and so woodstock illinois is the. This is another shooting location. You know I love my movies, you know all my television shows, but especially if it takes me, takes you to um the shooting locations and this town, like in the movie a groundhog day.
Speaker 2If you've seen it, the the town is is a character. It's a it's a character. So all these locations you're like, you're very familiar with it, like ned's corner, the cherry tree in the place where the bed and breakfast, and because you know, the movie he like relives the same day over, and over and over again, so you know the location. Yes, you keep going to the same locations over and over again.
Speaker 1Um that that crackle pond in the in the sidewalk as well, when he yes, that that sort of thing.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, yes there's a um, there's, yeah, a place where, yeah, when the pond that bill murray puts his foot in, there's in the ground. There's actually, his footprint is in the ground and that's actually an adventure lab stage to show you where punk's a tony phil, the the groundhog.
Speaker 2There's a statue that you go to, um. Where it is, there's a big mural of, like the, basically the movie cover. It's really, it's really cool, it's. It's a cool little town and um, and here's the cool thing when I visited this place, I stayed at the Cherry Tree Inn, which is the actual house that Bill Murray woke up every morning in, and I got to stay in the very room where he got to look out into the town every morning.
Speaker 1And I got to actually stay in that room.
Speaker 2How many days did you stay there? For Just one night, it was kind of extensive?
Speaker 1Are you sure it was just one?
Speaker 2night. Oh yeah, maybe it was millions, it might have been millions.
Speaker 1And all of a sudden, now, josh, he knows how to play the piano. Yes, exactly.
Speaker 2I wooed Andy McDaniel, or what's her name?
Speaker 1Andy McDowell Is that her name Andy McDowell, yeah, and.
Speaker 2Craig. I've made a lot of videos on my YouTube channel and this is one of maybe this is in the top five of my proudest videos I've ever made. It's a 23, I think a 20 plus minute video of me experiencing Groundhog Day again.
Speaker 1Over and over and over over. I do remember this one, and just just let everyone know. As always, links for all these videos we're talking about are in the description of the actual podcast can I say one more thing about this?
Speaker 2always is there. There is a bonus cash to this and it the it like your mandalorian one. Yeah, I'm not gonna.
Speaker 1I won't give away the don't give it away surprise on the podcast here, but it's very much themed a part of a part of groundhog day see, and it's, and it's good as well if to again, if you're making a adventure lab series and you're placing a, placing a bonus cash, I will say make it to the same theme as the adventure lab, because you're likely people we can't, we can't give favorite points to adventure labs. There's just no, no means to it. But if it's a really cool adventure lab and then the bonus cash is related guess where that favorite point goes to the actual bonus cash, so yeah, absolutely, there's a little tip for you.
Speaker 2One more thing, Craig. I love this adventure lab so much that I got permission from the adventure lab owner to do a part two no, yeah, so I went back, oh wow because there were other movie locations. I mean, it was only a five stage, there were other locations. So I went and I I visited, uh, five other locations from the, from the movie. So I have there you go, I do have the part two of adventure lab that I own in woodstock illinois.
Speaker 1That's really cool. That's really cool. All right, so there's the top 10 and, as we said before, if you're a patron, then you're going to get the little bonus as well. But speaking of woodstock, josh, we're going to talk about geo woodstock this time and and if you're listening to this podcast and you're not part of the organizing team of geo woodstock in 2025, then you don't know. But, josh, you and I, we've been asked back.
Speaker 1We've been asked back again for the third time in a row. Third year in a row, we're going to be on stage. We're going to be doing a live podcast, again recording on stage. But this year is going to be very different, josh. Okay, I spoke to them already about your idea. Oh, yes, speaking of Adventure Labs, oh, and if you come along to Geo Woodstock next year itself and you come and join Josh and I and have a lot of fun on stage, then for that time we're on stage, there's going to be a five-stage Adventure Lab open for that location at that time, only that time, and it's going to close after that. That's it, all said and done, and we are going to give people the answers as we go through the podcast. So how's that, josh?
Speaker 2I love that. So our podcast will be an Adventure Lab Only at Geo Woodstock.
Speaker 1You've got to be there and you have to listen to us because, guess what, we're shutting it off when the podcast is over and, and we'll say that too.
Speaker 2We'll say, hey, yeah, this is it, return it. I'll click the button turn it off click the button.
Speaker 1It's an hour. That's it an hour here's the problem, though.
Speaker 2Um, from now till then, you or I need to figure out how to get a venture lab credit to do this.
Speaker 1Oh, I've got one, I've got one oh perfect. I had this one ready and ready to go up my sleeve. As soon as you mentioned to me the other day on the phone, I went oh, I've got one up my sleeve, so it's all good, it's a great idea.
Speaker 2It won't be a problem, josh, it's a great idea.
Speaker 1It's a great idea, yes fantastic idea and, again, a good reward for those that do follow us and those that are coming to Geo Woodstock in Morgantown, west Virginia. Get your willetons in and get your you know sorted, everything sorted your accommodations need to be sorted, your airfares or, you know, travel needs to be sorted, and you can meet Josh and I and a lot of other people there too. Josh, the numbers are really, really, really getting up there just saying have you seen them recently.
Speaker 1It's getting pretty big yeah, it's getting pretty big over 2,000 will attend.
Speaker 2Is that right right?
Speaker 1I think, yeah, 2,211 last I looked, which is on wednesday last week. So it's, and people, if you don't know, um, it is already obviously a mega event, uh, but if it gets to 3,000 will attend themselves, then it's a possibility that may go to the giga event and that would be the second one in the US. Only, that's it. There's never been another one, except for Cincinnati.
Speaker 2That was it and just so everybody knows, it's on Memorial Day weekend yes that's what it is so yeah we would love for you to go there. We would love to force you to listen to our podcast.
Speaker 1And they would be forced too, because they need the answers for the actual adventure levels. I like it, I like it. So there you go. Meanwhile, Josh also, we've got fan mail, Remember. I said last week we'd get fan mail again, which is really cool. This time it's from Seabec Tribe and she just said loved your latest show about traveling solo and welcome. And I'll say this from you and I, Josh Seabec, Seabec Tribe, Welcome to the patrons.
Speaker 2Yay.
Speaker 1I say she, but I think that they are a new patron, so that's pretty cool. So there you go.
Speaker 2That's awesome.
Speaker 1Very, very good. So people feel free to send us a message via the link and just make sure that you end it with your name so we know where it's coming from, cause, otherwise we just know the location. That's it. No, not actually who it's from.
Speaker 2Unless you want to send us hate mail, then you might not want to put your name.
Speaker 1Put anonymous in. If it's hate mail, that's fine. We'll still read it out, don't worry about that.
