Blown for Good: Scientology Exposed
Marc Headley worked at Scientology’s secret desert compound, which houses all Scientology management, for 15 years. The 500-acre property is located deep in the California desert. The local townspeople were told lectures and films were made there. But is that all that was happening? It is the location of a multi-million dollar home for L. Ron Hubbard, built two decades after his death. It is the home of Scientology’s current leader, David Miscavige. So what really happens at the Int Base? Are the stories on the internet true? How does Scientology conduct management of its day-to-day operations? Could stories of armed guards, weapons, staff beatings, and razor wire fences be true? If so, how could a facility like this exist in modern-day America? Hundreds of staff tried to escape over the years. Some succeeded but were never seen or heard of again, and most failed. Why were people kept here? What really went on at the headquarters of Scientology? This is the story of what happened behind the Iron Curtain of Scientology.

Ever wonder how a shrinking movement projects strength? We pull back the curtain on Scientology’s donor engine—where empty orgs are overshadowed by glossy Impact magazine spreads, 70-pound trophies, and staged photo ops that turn giving into a competitive sport. We trace the journey from simple IAS memberships to a stratified status ladder—Patron, Meritorious, Gold, Platinum, Diamond—where recognition grows with every check and the pressure to “top up” never stops.
We share first-hand stories from inside the machinery: what it meant to see former colleagues—people who knew the real conditions—reappear as celebrated donors; how event nights were orchestrated to capture perfect images; and why a selfie with a celebrity could become as valuable as any service. We also unpack where the money reportedly goes, from an interest-spending “war chest” to PR, legal campaigns, and the sprawling network of sites targeting critics. The irony isn’t lost on us: hurricanes get “postulate” emails, but the buildings are stormproofed the old-fashioned way—with cash.
Amid the satire and sharp edges, there’s a grounded throughline: helping people start over. We spotlight the Aftermath Foundation, share details on the March 11 gathering, the pre-event livestream, and how you can jump into the online silent auction. If you’ve ever asked why successful people keep giving, how prestige becomes a product, or what it takes to leave and rebuild a life, this conversation connects the dots with insider clarity.

Hey everybody, welcome back to Blown for Good. Welcome to another episode of Blown for Good Scientology Exposed. We are, oh, it says we're having a destination issue. Hopefully that's not on YouTube. I'm joined today by my lovely wife, Claire.
SPEAKER_00Hey, hey, hey, everybody. Happy Sunday. Thanks for joining us this fine weekend.
SPEAKER_05We have all kinds of exciting stuff to sh to share this week. We did a video a few weeks ago about how Scientology's organizations are pretty much empty all around the world except for in Florida at their Clearwater facility, FLAG, as it's known known to Scientologists. And we talked about how they have all these heavy, these big donors that are just donating money for nothing. They're getting a trophy, basically, and they get status within Scientology.
SPEAKER_00Right. When it's actually against policy written by L. Ron Hubbard to even fundraise in the first place for Scientology.
From Membership Fees To Donor Status
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So they used to have this membership that you would have to pay each year to be in Scientology. And you would pay that membership fee to the International Association of Scientologists. And I want to say it was like in the early days, it was like a a couple hundred bucks a year or a hundred dollars a year, something like that. And then they changed it to a lifetime membership. And a lifetime membership was like$2,000 or$5,000.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think it was$5,000, yes. And then the only value that that membership afforded you was, I want to say it was a 20% discount on training services and counseling.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So if you were a Scientologist, it was almost required that you have a lifetime membership and then you'd get this discount. But nobody was paying the non-discount price because everybody is a member of the IAS for the most part.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05Okay. So in the late 1980s, um David Miscavige kind of tweaked that a little bit. And he said, Hey, listen, if you give forty thousand dollars, then you're a patron of the IAS. And so that's what they were pushing, patron, patron, patron. And then they started having all these gazillionaires that were like, Well, I I uh you know, I have a little bit more money, they'd like, hey, maybe we make another level. And so they kept kind of doing that on and on and on and on. And every few years they just add more things. Yes. So you could give more money. And even if that person couldn't give like an exact denomination, they just made whatever he, that highest donor, made, they made it a new level at whatever his donation level. So you'll see when we go through the rest of the video how some of this happens.
SPEAKER_00Because no matter what you know about Scientology, I'm sure uh it's well, if you know anything, you know that Scientology loves their labels. They really do.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00OT. Yeah. PTS, potential trouble source, suppressive person.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and then they have the same thing for patrons and everything everything else. Um okay, so so that's that. So Tony Ortega, uh, of the Underground Bunker, um, we'll put a link in the video description of the the article that we're talking about, but he posted this article last week on his website, and it was a basically the s uh the pictures from the IAS event in England.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no, it was from the latest um impact magazine.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but they shot all those pictures at the event.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, maybe. I'm not sure. Well, they're from I think they're from all different places, but it's like the Impact magazine is the magazine of the International Association of Scientologists. So um, I'm sure there were a lot of pictures included from the event. I don't know that that was the exclusive source, is my point.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Well, you'll see they're all dressed up and they're against a big, big backdrop. And the podium of the event is in the middle of the screen where they're putting their church.
SPEAKER_00Some of them, not all of them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So the way it used to work was if you donated one of these big amounts, it was pretty much guaranteed that you would then get a picture with David Miscavige at the event on the stage.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05And that's sort of how one of the ways they did this. And then also, if you were one of those big muckety mucks and you gave a big amount, well, maybe uh Tommy Boy, the cruister, he would come in and he you do you could also get a selfie with him or something like that. Um, so there were perks.
SPEAKER_00Not bad for a$500,000 donation.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. People at movie premieres getting these selfies, they haven't even given a penny.
Impact Magazine And Photo-Op Perks
SPEAKER_05Just gotta go to a movie premiere. Um, anyway, so he did this article, so let's bring that up. Okay, so the millionaires of Scientology. Okay, so uh here it is. So at the Patriots Ball, donors of Celebrator have reached a new cumulative goal and their total overall spending. This is called a status, and they have fancy names like Gold Meritorious. That's for one million dollars, and patron laureate, ten million. It's like a game for rich people who try to give in enough each year to get to the next level. Yeah. That's pretty accurate.
SPEAKER_00Scientology has given up on clearing the planet, so they're just gonna focus on clearing the millionaires of their money.
SPEAKER_05It's not that they've given up. It's physically impossible for Scientology, financially impossible for Scientology to exist if they don't have another source of income. Because doing Scientology, the numbers don't number. The math don't math.
SPEAKER_01Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so and and this thing came, I saw this on Tony's site. I get an email whenever he puts something out, and I look at them and I go, eh, and I paw through them. But on this one, when we were going through it, I was like, I know some of these folks.
SPEAKER_00We know a bunch of them. I always look through them to see if any of our family members are in there. That's really the main reason that I check them.
SPEAKER_05I mean, yeah, and we did a few weeks ago, um, one of these lists were published or something like that. And we did see, not one of our family members, but we saw somebody else's family member that we knew was disconnected, and we saw them on the list. It was like, oh geez.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05They're not doesn't look like they're getting out anytime soon.
SPEAKER_00No, though, mind you, uh an emptied bank account is a surefire way to make you question what you're doing there. It's one of the one of the ways to question what what the heck you're doing.
SPEAKER_05And legitimately, oh, somebody's highlighting uh quotes, probably Catherine.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Thank you, Catherine.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Um these people, some of these people are not actually able to donate this amount of money.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_05And there is a I actually have it in here, but there was a guy who gave a ton of money, millions and millions of dollars, and he got this giant globe trophy. And um and that trophy is sitting on the other side of this table right now. Yeah. And I've got a few.
SPEAKER_00I would bring it over here, but it's like 70 pounds.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Uh I mean, I'm strong, but you know, it's also been thrown away, shipped across the United States two or three times. It's a little banged up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, so um I don't know which slide these other people in here, but I wanna uh if I see the name, I'll uh but these are people, so this one's patrons. So that they took that 40,000 and they just upped it to 50.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_05Over the years. They're like, hey, why do we have 40? 40's lame. Let's do 50. So they just did that to 50.
SPEAKER_00That way they don't have to use a calculator to calculate the millions they've collected.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And this is 100% at the event, guys. Because all of these people are dressed up like they're at an event.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay. And that is the stage backdrop or a stage backdrop. So um, all of the people in these pictures above were people that were at that event and donated the$50,000.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_05So you're not getting your picture if you ain't there. Right. So they say we've done this a million times. When I used to produce the events, it was okay, after the event or uh the night of the patron's ball, or whichever night it was, one of those nights in England, it would be like, okay, we're gonna do all the the pictures for impact. All of the patrons, okay, let's get you all together. And then they go, okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
The Status Ladder And “War Chest”
SPEAKER_05And this it did it depended on what the scheduling was and all that nonsense. But either way, you'd say, okay, all you guys come up and then you go, oh, that's too many for one picture. Let's get this group, let's figure you guys out. Then we'll make another group, and how many other groups they are, they'll do the pictures. Yep. So and also it's by family in a lot of cases. So if there's four members in the family, it's 50k for the four of them. It's not not each person in the family get 50K. Okay, so those are all patrons for 50k. Now this is patron meritorious, and this is$250,000. And these are the pictures. Well, this first picture, I went, huh? Because in the picture on um I g I guess in the middle, um there's Brooke, Jim, and Brooke Owen. And anybody who's read my book, it was that was one of the places I stayed when I was like 14, and I I had moved out and I was living at different people's houses. Jim and Brooke Owen were the second house that I lived at, and I had to move because they joined the C organization. Jim and Brooke Owen both joined the C organization. Of course, um and the daughter's room that I was staying in, she was at Delphi Oregon, a Scientology school up in Sheridan, Oregon. And she was also in the Sea Org. The only one who didn't join the Sea Org was my friend Lauren, who was their uh daughter. And she never joined, I think she ended up on staff in LA or something like that. But regardless, um Tara, Brooke, and Jim all joined the Sea Org. They've all since left. And I think Tara was kicked, either kicked out or routed out of the int base. I'm pretty sure she was kicked out. She was an executive int public.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, she was establishment executive international.
SPEAKER_05That's right. And she got she didn't last up there very long.
SPEAKER_00Her husband lasted even less than she did.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, now I think you're thinking of Brooke. What was Brooke's post? Because she was EEI too. Or she was another exec in. I can't remember which.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember Brooke.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_00I think she was if she was at um the Int Gold Base, it was before I got there.
SPEAKER_06Right. It was so quick.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Yeah. Regardless, they they went, they kind of pop when I saw the picture, I was like, I know those people. And then I looked at the names, and I'm like, yep, that's them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And it's just crazy to comment that, first of all, when you go through these pictures, and there's way more detail on Tony's article.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But it's crazy to me that they're so like they're like, oh, this person's been a member of the International Association of Scientologists since 1984. You're like, there's I think I was looking at the dates, and they're not all included, but the most recent one is from 2018. Like the most recent member of like joined the International Association of Scientologists in 2018.
SPEAKER_05Of these people.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_05Wow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so um, so that so that's that. I also Tara, if I'm not mistaken, she went to the RPF, and she was one of those people that got sent to Australia to do the RPF. So she might have still stayed in the Sea Org. I don't know about now. It's been forever. Yeah, it has. Oh, it says right here in the comments, Catherine Olsen. Tara Beanie ended up in Australia with her husband. Yeah. So her husband was also at the ant base, and they both got vamoused.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um, don't let's yeah, let's not say anything because it's it's uh it's a lot. It's a lot.
SPEAKER_00It's a whole other rabbit hole we'll get into some other day.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's too much, guys.
SPEAKER_00It's uh got a laser focus here, folks. We're gonna stay on topic.
SPEAKER_05Yes. Okay. Um do are those other guys in that other oh no. Okay, so then there's these pictures. Now this is silver meritorious. Okay, this is five hundred thousand dollars. Um and this one's crazy because there is two people that were at an SP party that we had in 2007.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Okay. And we go, well, wait, what?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So we we we knew these people. I knew the wife, uh, Kathy, and I Well, I think on the next one. Okay, yeah, here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So that's that's Kathy.
SPEAKER_00Laser focused on who we're talking about here. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And Kathy was at the AMP base, and she was in uh part of she was in a division of Golden Era Productions called uh PDU or PDO, the planet the Planetary Dissem Unit or the Planetary Dissemination Organization, which is a division of Golden Era Productions. Basically, it's the marketing arm of Second Top.
SPEAKER_00It changed that division changed names more than any other singular division on that property. It was the Central Marketing United. PDU, then the um Yeah, the Planetary Dissem Unit.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, PDU.
SPEAKER_00Then the marketing division.
SPEAKER_05Well, then yeah. And then it was PDO.
SPEAKER_00Planetary Dissemination Organization. You gotta keep your acronym straight, folks.
SPEAKER_05And then it was the people never changed. Their location kind of moved all over the place.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
Personal Ties: Old Colleagues Resurface
SPEAKER_05Anyway, so they uh and then Richard Didcote, the father, he was in Los Angeles and he worked at the Flag Bureau. And by the way, Kathy Didcote, um, she very rarely got to go to LA. And if she did, it was like what on one of these, you know, Saturday night come back early Sunday morning kind of things, just spend the night down there. Trevor Burrus, Jr.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So pretty much for context, what we're talking about here is Richard and Kathy were both in the sea organization, starting in the UK, and I don't know when they joined originally, but definitely when I was when my mom joined the sea organization when I was four years old in the UK, Kathy and Richard were there. So they've they've been around for a long, long time. They have a son, which is why you referenced the father, that Mark and I both knew and were friends with.
SPEAKER_05He was our age.
SPEAKER_00He was our age. His name is Jamie. I was in the cadet organization with Jamie in the UK.
SPEAKER_05And then when I arrived at the Int Gold base and you were there, he was there working in grounds or he was in the in the um household unit, which is the people that mow L. Ron Hubbard's grass.
SPEAKER_00Yes, because you know, you have to have perfect grass for the dead guy who's late showing back up again.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but he but they had a separate the international headquarters, 500 acres. It's probably a lot of those acres are grass. And they have for Golden Air Productions has a grounds unit and they mow 99% of the grass.
SPEAKER_00And let's not forget, this is in the middle of the desert.
SPEAKER_05Yes, it is in the middle of the desert where it's not easy to grow grass.
SPEAKER_00It is not. In fact, most of the surrounding area is brown.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, of course.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, so they have a separate unit, a separate grounds unit that has different mowers and different equipment and different location than the regular grounds unit. And those are the people that mow the grass around El Ron Hubbard's properties. So Bonnieview, which was the mansion up there, and the star of California ship, the clipper ship that's in the middle of the desert. Also, not easy to have a clipper ship in the middle of the desert.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05With a mast and a giant pool and everything.
SPEAKER_00It was not seaworthy, but definitely not seaworthy.
SPEAKER_05It was it had run aground.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_05Um, it was built into the mountainside, this clipper ship. It had a mast and a deck and everything. And it even had a uh it had a tiller and and uh a wheel, whatever that thing is. Captain's wheel.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_05Okay. So even though they had groundspeople to mow all the other lawns if you wanted to if you wanted to mow Elren Hubbard's lawns, it had to be you had to be one of these special people to be able to mow those lawns out of the case.
SPEAKER_00You had to be a c a mess you had to be staff in the Commodore's messenger organization, Gold.
SPEAKER_05Golden Era Productions, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So which is what Jamie was.
SPEAKER_05Exactly. All of that to say And actually, this is this is a wild twist in this story, is I was doing a course with Jamie called the Key to Life Course. He was my twin.
SPEAKER_00So I'd do something yours truly was said supervisor.
SPEAKER_05And I was trying to get him to go after old ginger over here. I was like, hey, what do you think about this ginger?
SPEAKER_00Dude, no. I know. Claire didn't go for it. So I was like, okay, if you don't want her, I'll take her. Now listen, I knew him from the cadet organization. I was trying to pretend like that had none of that had ever happened, and that I didn't have that, you know, awful history and background. So I wanted nothing to do with anyone that I knew from that prior lifetime.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So needless to say, we knew all these people. We didn't know the father. He worked in LA. Kathy worked it in, and Jamie worked it in.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And and Kathy, by the way, was always in trouble with David Miscavige.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, she was in the 1-800 unit. That's right. She was the one who would answer the calls when um we had this thing called the Dianetics How-To Kit. And there was a number in there. Hey, if you want us to t help you do this Dianetic auditing with somebody and you're having some problems, just call us and we'll we'll walk you through it. That's where she worked.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05And there was only like two people in there. And the phones are ringing 24 hours a day. So sometimes these guys would have to be on a night shift just sitting there to wait for the phone to ring so they could answer it.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05She was one of those people. Okay. Now, we said most of this already. Kathy and Richard from the UK. Oh, this is Claire. You can read all this nonsense.
SPEAKER_00Yep. So as I said, I knew Kathy and Richard from the UK and grew up with their son Jamie and the Cadet Organization. In July 1991, Richard was working at the Hollywood Guarantee Building, which is 1710 Ivar Avenue on Hollywood Boulevard.
SPEAKER_05Or 6331 Hollywood Boulevard.
SPEAKER_00Depending on your perspective, depending on which corner you're standing on of the same building. When I was promoted to the international headquarters at Gold Base in Gilman Hot Springs, Kathy was promoted there at some point. She she got there later than I did, I think, but I think somewhere in the early to mid-90s is when Kathy was moved there. At some point, Kathy and Richard both left the C organization.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and I think she was offloaded in one of those mass offload things. Um, either because it was she was part of the Deadwood crew that they thought you got they're not worth keeping, let's just get rid of them. Or um they might have gotten a little too old and they weren't able to keep on a good schedule. It could have been either or of those. I think she was in the Deadwood group, but I don't remember. We have those lists, by the way, somewhere.
SPEAKER_00Oh, we should go to that.
SPEAKER_05It's in the uh spy files. I think I even did a video with it.
Sea Org Histories And Groundskeeping Tales
SPEAKER_00Nice. Okay. And then um so Mark and I so we get out of the we escape from the sea organization. Originally we were in Lee Summit, Missouri, and then by the end of 2005, we were both back in Los Angeles. Yeah. Okay. So and I I was by that time I was pregnant with our first son. Anyhow, we had our first son in February 2006. And somewhere short with within the first year of our son being born, uh, we used to go to this diner in Toluca Lake, Paddies. California, Paddy's for brunch on Sundays. It was like a an a nice routine that we had. Um, and we would take our little guy in the car seat and go hang out there. So one day, randomly, who walks in is Kathy and Richard. And it was like, wait, what?
SPEAKER_05And they didn't live there.
SPEAKER_00That's right. They lived in Glendale. They lived like 30 minutes away.
SPEAKER_05We lived like four blocks away. Yeah. And they went to lunch over way over here, which is kind of rando.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean, we were used to running into Scientologists there because that was a hotbed local spot to Luca Lake was. Yeah. So we would see people pretty frequently. But they just showed up. And and also, too, I will say that most of the time when we s ran into Scientologists, like they would look the other way and run the opposite direction. If they knew. If they knew. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05We did run into the I don't know if I ever told this story. I might as well tell it now. We're doing a video and it's perfect.
SPEAKER_01It is.
SPEAKER_05So I was getting right across from Patty's, just like a just on the other side of the street, a little bit further down, maybe a half a block down.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05There was a hairstylist uh uh a salon that was owned by a Scientologist.
SPEAKER_00Tamara de Hill.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And I don't know what it was called, but it was in Toluca Lake on Tamara de Hill Salon.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay, good. Real original.
SPEAKER_05And it's right on Riverside Drive there. And next door there was a barber shop.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_05And you had dropped me off. We only had one car at this time. Yes. You were pregnant with the case.
SPEAKER_00So white Ford Focus.
SPEAKER_05You were pregnant with Kale.
SPEAKER_00Very pregnant. I want to say I was like eight months pregnant. Like you couldn't miss that I was pregnant if you tried. It would hit you in the face.
SPEAKER_05So you drop me off.
SPEAKER_00But I didn't get out of the car.
SPEAKER_05I okay. Do you want me to tell the story?
SPEAKER_00Just commenting.
SPEAKER_05You drop me off, and I go and get a haircut. Then you go off to do some errands.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05Now I get my haircut, I walk out, and as I'm waiting for you, I just happen to peek into the salon, and right there, I see this Sea Org member from the Int base. Her name was Kathy Katie Katie Paquette. And Katie Paquette is getting her hair d hair did and she's got all the foil and all that in it.
SPEAKER_00Wasn't she with somebody else too?
SPEAKER_05She was, but I don't know if they were there at that that place. Okay. If she was, I didn't know the other person. I only knew her. And um I give her a kind of a the a look like, hmm. And she clearly sees that it's me. Now when she was at the international headquarters, I was a big boss man. And it was like I was a sir to her. She was in the sales division of Golden Air Productions, but she had been sent to Los Angeles on a sales project, and she'd been there for years and years and years. And and so when she was last at the end base, I was there a big muckety muck executive in Golden Air Productions. And now she's in LA for years, and now I'm not in a Sea Org anymore, and we just live nearby.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_05And um so she gets really worked up. Because you're not supposed to be this is like on a Saturday or like whatever day it was. It was a day that Sea Org members would not be at a salon getting their hair did.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Especially like far away from you know, the complexity Scientologists' Sea Org members lived nowhere in the world.
SPEAKER_05No matter what, it was super weird that she was there. So now she is there for another I mean, she was right at the end. They were taking all the foil out and doing something when I saw her. So I'm standing there, and like two or three minutes later, she runs out and she's like, Oh, sir, um, what are you doing here? And I was like, Oh, I was just getting the haircut over there. And uh and she's like, Oh my gosh, sorry. Um, you know, we're on a sale. She started explaining all the reasons why she was there. Well, we're in a sales project and we have to look good, so we have to get our hair done every once in a while. And I'm I'm thinking to myself, the fuck? This is the dumbest excuse I've heard. But I'm not saying anything, I'm just looking at her like, hmm. And then um, she starts telling me how well they're doing in Los Angeles and all the things they're getting, all the sales they're doing. And I said, Really? And I said, What because I knew a lot of people had been sent to LA that got they got rid of at the base. Right. So I go, what is what's it like with all those uh guys from the base now being down in LA? And she's like, Oh, it's kind of weird because they don't understand how like 50 people could be um offloaded from the base all at once. And then she's explaining all these things to me. I say, how is there you've have you noticed new people showing up? And she's like, Yeah, Ken Morton. So she starts explaining all the new people that have been coming.
LA Encounters And Leaks From Inside
SPEAKER_00And for context for people listening, so this was like 50 people that were many of them had been in the C organization for decades.
SPEAKER_05They were on the the Apollo with L.
SPEAKER_00Ron Hubbard, or you know, that that kind of and many of them had been top executives for years, and now they'd been like en masse shipped to Los Angeles and put on the lowest of the low positions. Like I want to say, uh Ken Mortenson, for example, had been one of the top executives for decades. Yeah, and now he was a folder page, meaning his entire job was to carry folders back and forth between locations. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, so she sees me, she tells me all this stuff, I ask her a few questions, and then she basically gives me like the lowdown of everything that's going on in Los Angeles. Now, I'm not in the Sea Org, but I do know people who give me information and people talk to me, and so I had little bits that I could kind of throw at her and she could tell me the whole story.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it's not like you misrepresented that you were still in the sea organization.
SPEAKER_05That's right.
SPEAKER_00I never that was her assumption, and we all that know what that makes of her.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Anyway, so then she pretty much finishes telling me everything. I'm like, okay, well, well, there you go.
SPEAKER_00And then um, let me insert my point of view. Because I will never forget. So I'm driving my little white forward focus and like, oh, okay, it's time to circle back around and pick up Mark from his haircut. And I just remember in slow motion, pulling up, and you're sitting on a bench in front of the barber shop with Katie Paquette in Sea Org uniform. I'm like, Oh, that's right. That's right. What the heck is going on?
SPEAKER_05In her C org uniform as well.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05Which is super crazy. And she just goes to some public barber shop and is all decked out in her fake navy uh d d duds.
SPEAKER_00Oh my goodness. Anyway, sorry, I just had to add that. So Claire pulls up. Small detail.
SPEAKER_05Claire gets out of the driver's seat to get around to the passenger seat.
SPEAKER_00Because he because you're gonna take over driving. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05And she is like eight months and twenty-nine days pregnant. And um, and Katie goes, what? And she kind of does this number. And she goes, and basically she realizes she she done messed up a little there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Or a lot that we're not in the Sea Org anymore. And now she's just giving me all the things. And giving me all this operational info. The best part is that she went back and wrote a knowledge report, and she left out the part where she told me all this stuff in the knowledge report.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_05But uh she wrote a knowledge report on that and sent it to OSAS just so they'd know that I was jamming people up for info when I saw them. Okay. Back to the back to the show.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Okay, so we randomly ran into Kathy and Richard at a diner in Toluca Lake when our first son was not even a year old. Kathy even attended our son's first birthday party. And yeah, they would come around to events. And so I don't remember whether it was Kathy or Richard, but I remember that you one of them was really wanted to talk to you about Zenu. Do you remember this?
SPEAKER_05I don't remember this, but I do remember that I kept asking them for Jamie's phone number.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_05And they would not give it to me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And they never talked about him either.
SPEAKER_05And they said he just he doesn't want anything to do with any of this, and he's doing his own thing, and da da da da da.
SPEAKER_00Which at the time I took to mean that he was still on the Kool-Aid subscription.
SPEAKER_05No, he didn't want anything to do with Scientology.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I see.
SPEAKER_05And so he was more on our frame of mind.
SPEAKER_00Which, but then he even more would we anyway, yeah. That's right.
SPEAKER_05So I was like, yeah, so give me his number. And they were like, oh no, no. Uh we'll we'll talk to him, and if he wants to give you his number.
SPEAKER_00We've got double Claire going on.
SPEAKER_05Oh, I love it. Perfect. Um, anyway, more Claire the better. More Claire, more fun. Um anyway, so that was weird. Yeah. That they would never give us Jamie's phone number. And Jamie was the one we knew. And these were like, you know, I would invite anybody to the SP parties because I don't discriminate. I'm not a uh what an I'm not an ageist. I'm not like, hey, you're 10 years older than me, you can't come.
SPEAKER_00No, and we were always we always prioritized community and support over suspicions of is this person a spy or not? Like whatever. You know, that that at least that's my perspective. Maybe you feel differently.
SPEAKER_05No, I always would when we'd have these things, it was we knew somebody there was working for us.
SPEAKER_00So we always knew that we assumed that correctly.
SPEAKER_05So and we would and it really depended on what information we fed, and then what information came back to us is how we could find out okay, this person is the person.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, and we had a few different ones of those over the years. For sure. And then after we got the spy files, we we found out we were right on everybody that we knew, and there was a few more that we'd never ever even considered.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so this is the party. And I don't know if you can see this. Let me see if I can make us even smaller, make the picture bigger. There you go. But you got like Matt Pesch, Jeff Hawkins, my dad, Amy Scoby is in the middle of the picture there. And then there's some other people I covered up, but Sinar Parman, he used to be L. Run Hubbard's chef.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Rest in peace, Sanar.
SPEAKER_05And um, and then you've got Kathy Didcoat, and you've got Richard Didcoat right in the middle there with the big red arrows going to him. You know, it's funny. This is um Amy, the one right next to K Kathy with the label. It looks like she's looking at the arrow that I put there. She's just randomly looking over her shoulder, and there's nothing there.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_05And um anyway, I am not in this picture because I'm the one taking it. Yep. But if you if you look really close on the side where Bernie Headley is my dad, Fair Claire is just standing right behind that uh TV bookshelf, and her head is just barely popping out of there.
SPEAKER_00I didn't even see myself there.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, got the eagle eye there. Um, anyway, so this is 2007. Right. Okay, so 2007, Kathy and Richard have been in the Sea Org, kicked out or routed out. Now they're at an SP party, and the next time we hear or see anything about them, their patron gloratorious Maximus Glutamus. Yeah. And they've given given$500,000. The crazy thing to me about this is they were in the Sea Org.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05They got kicked out, not in the Sea Org, or they left because they couldn't be in the Sea Org, or they didn't want to be in the Sea Org, or whatever the ex excuses were, or the reasons were. And now 20 years later, they're throwing$500,000 back to Dave. Kathy knows that he's he's he's a shit.
SPEAKER_00She absolutely witnessed him physically abusing staff like even Jeff Hawkins, who's right there with them, with us at this party.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SP Parties, OSA Spies, And Surveillance
SPEAKER_00Um, there's 100% absolute positivity that Kathy witnessed David Miscavige beat up Jeff Hawkins. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_05And now they're back in the fold again. And it's it if you were if you were a Scientologist and you had no clue what went on in the Sea Org, and you would just believe all the hype, I could see maybe throwing them some bucks.
SPEAKER_00If you're that gullible.
SPEAKER_05Anything over a hundred bucks is too much. Okay. Exactly. But then you get, yeah, this is pre-anonymous protests and all that. This is early. This is like, I want to say it's January of 2007. It is. Because there's a Christmas tree up in the picture.
SPEAKER_00Right, exactly. No, in fact, you said I think this was on my birthday.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you're right. It was on January 2nd.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, so either way, and this is not everybody in the party. I also wanted to say that. This is in the middle of our living room, and if you turn the opposite direction, there's a whole nother couch with all with a bunch more people on it.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_05Um, anyway, and we had a bar and we had a backyard, and it was a this this was a pretty cool spot that we landed in.
SPEAKER_01It was.
SPEAKER_05Um, shout out Sean. Anyway, so um, is there more pictures? Oh, then there's the so so anyway, turns out they were OSA spies.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05And we found that out later. They were reporting everything to OSA. And the only reason I wanted to say that was because there are other high-value donors that are on that have been on these lists that also used to be in the Sea Org or the Guardians organization, the Guardian's office. Craig Jensen was one of their first big muckety mucks that was giving millions and millions of dollars. And he ended up um he was in the Guardian's office, and then he started a software company, and then he and and the software they made, it was called Disc D Fragger back in the uh early days, and then it became part of Windows, and they got a quarter. Executive software, the company he made, got a quarter every time a copy of Windows was sold. So they made some they made some buckaroonies on that one.
SPEAKER_00For sure.
SPEAKER_05And um, and there was another guy, Henning Helt, who used to be in the guardian's office, and he ended up being a high donor. Uh Laura uh and Jessica Byrne, I mean uh Larry and Jessica Byrne Burns ended up being big donors. There was a lot of these people that had either been in the Sea Org or they'd been in the Guardian's office that ended up being these big donors. Right. And then they became like, hey, if you want to work at my company or if you want to do this, you gotta, you gotta, we're making tons of money, you gotta throw some back to the Scientology. And they started this kind of trend among amongst the Muckity Muck Richies in in uh Scientology.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05Um, okay, so then this is just the rest of these uh people that got silver meritorious with honors, and that's$750,000. To me, it's just I mean Yeah, I can't there's no fiber of my being that thinks that that would be a good idea to give them a penny.
SPEAKER_00Right now that I know everything I know about them, I would short circuit my brain to but even when we were in, like anyway.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, yeah, so these are all these people. Um I didn't recognize, I recognized a few last names. They could be related to people that we knew or whatever. Um and then this is gold meritorious, one million dollars. And you just see that's that's six mil right there on the screen. Six mil. Um or if yeah, I think these are each one of these is kind of like a family picture, um, a couple or a family, but that's a million bucks right there. So remember we in a if you if you don't remember, we we talked about this in a last uh in a uh a previous video that all of the organizations in the world are running at a loss. And the only organization that that was making any money was the Clearwater location, and it made about a million bucks a week.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05And that million bucks is what supported Scientology international, internationally. So now they probably make two to three million dollars a week, most likely, if if not more.
SPEAKER_00Maybe, maybe, or maybe less.
Donor Tiers: 50K To One Million
SPEAKER_05Well, either way, that is the organization that makes all the the doubt. So here you have these guys are given a million bucks a pop for nothing. And all of this money goes into this thing Scientology calls the war chest. And they never spend the the principal, they only spend the interest earned from this giant mega fund that they have. They they only spend the interest, they never spend any of the uh principal or any of the money that they've uh deposited. Okay, there's more, guys. There's more. There's gold meritorious with honors, and now this is one of those ones where it was like it was a million bucks for gold, and then this guy gave 1.75, and they're like, well, we're gonna cap it right. Or some guy did. It's just like, but that's not an even denomination. It's like, it's okay, this guy gave 1.75. We're throwing him a meritorious with honors. I'm gonna put a little you know, just a little top that up there right there.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. I do wonder if he if there's some special little ribbon on that giant 80-pound paperweight spot right there.
SPEAKER_05That's the one we have.
SPEAKER_00Really?
SPEAKER_05That's it. Look at it.
SPEAKER_00You want me to go get it?
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Should I get it? 70 pounds. I'm gonna get it. I'm gonna get it.
SPEAKER_00You want me to get it? I'll get it. I don't want you to throw your pack out.
SPEAKER_05Um, I don't want to. I don't want everybody to see that I can't lift anything more than a pregnant woman.
SPEAKER_00Honey. Oh my gosh. Well, you should have at least put the camera on me. Here.
SPEAKER_05The second button from the top.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yay, I hit the right button. Okay. Oh my goodness. Here we go. This is a complete train wreck, guys. He's gonna need a month of chiropractor appointments after this. He should have let me do it. Okay, here we go.
SPEAKER_06Look at this, guys.
SPEAKER_00It's literally 70 pounds. Oh my goodness. Don't hurt yourself.
SPEAKER_06Here goes the world.
SPEAKER_00The world fell off its axle. Too bad, so sad. Oopsies are bad, but we just wanted you to see. We have all kinds of um, what do you call them, chotch keys in our studio here, and that is one of them. Anyway, yeah, there you go. 70 pounds of nonsense. Can you imagine getting that for 1.75 million dollar donation? That's just crazy.
SPEAKER_05You almost have to make a shelf for it because it's so heavy, you can't just put it on any regular shelf. It's gonna rip, rip it right out of the wall.
SPEAKER_00Oh my goodness. We'll need a pedestal for it right there.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we'll put it back there somewhere, maybe. Okay.
SPEAKER_00I told you you should have let me do it, honey.
SPEAKER_05Okay, there we go. It does weigh a lot, guys. It's it's solid. It's solid steel. Anyway, it's basically the silver version. Let's see if these guys, the gold meritorious. Yeah, I guess I don't know what they have.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, gold meritorious, there's more.
SPEAKER_00But wait, there is more.
SPEAKER_05Platinum meritorious. And that's 2.5. 2.5. Can you imagine having$2.5 million?
SPEAKER_00And giving it to a dangerous and abusive cult.
SPEAKER_05That's wild.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, this is how, if you look at all these people, this is how they're not hurting for dough. They have, and the IES is what pays for the attacks against Scientology, whether it's psychiatry or psychology or SP or hate websites on, you know, 500.
SPEAKER_00How many hate websites are there again? Didn't you put together a list at some point?
SPEAKER_05It's thousands.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Or the domains that they own. Yeah. Thousands and thousands. Scientology owns whoisronuscavige.com. Today. Ron Miscavige passed away years ago. Rest in peace, Ron. And he has a website, and or not a web, he has well, he does have a website, but he has any possible domain that if you search, it points to that domain that's. Scientology has. And so do we.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you actually we have multiple because the primary one is who is Mark Headley. However, if you type in who is Claire Headley, goes to the who is Mark Headley.
SPEAKER_05Oh bam. You know what I always say, guys? If you ain't got a sight, you ain't doing it right. Or do I say if you got a sight, you're doing it right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there you go.
SPEAKER_05Either one. Get a sight. Um, okay. Platinum meritorious. Diamond meritorious. Five million smackaroos. Going right into Scientology's bank account.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Funding hate on a planetary basis.
SPEAKER_05I get it. See, they've got the same trophy, but theirs has got a crystal on the top.
SPEAKER_00Oh wow. That's like I mean, that's a What's that like a hundred bucks from China?
SPEAKER_05No, no, no. That's I'd say that's a I'd say that's a five to ten thousand dollar trophy right there. These trophies are not cheap. We used to have to make them for the events because we had to make all those trophies that we gave out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And that was taken care of by the PR, IMPR International Management PR for the for the regular events. And then the IAS people, they they have all their own stuff to do this. But they use sometimes they they go through people in other organizations to help them out.
SPEAKER_06Yep.
SPEAKER_05Um is there another one? Okay, no. This so this was on Tony Ortega's substack, uh, the underground bunker.
SPEAKER_00Um, the millionaires, am I remembering correctly that the first person who reached 2.5 million was Tom Cruise.
SPEAKER_06I I don't remember that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm pretty sure I saw that on in Tony's article. I'll have to double check my facts on that. But either way, it's insanity. Like five million dollars. Yeah, of course he's given way more than that. No, this was back in like the early 2000s that this that these Uber levels were created. Um, yeah, anyway, it's crazy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Absolute craziness.
Trophies, “Honors,” And Big Money Psychology
SPEAKER_05Okay, so that's it. Yeah. I guess we have another video to show.
SPEAKER_00Well, hold on. We do we want to do a few questions before we play our final video and talk about our upcoming March 11th. Okay, awesome. You know what I mean, Jelly Mean? Yeah, I think.
SPEAKER_05Okay, here we go. This better work. Hopefully you guys can hear this. This is not normally how I do this.
SPEAKER_00When the Aftermath Foundation was formed, Jump took the opportunity to continue our efforts to help people start their life. It's incredibly important. To me personally, as someone who was born into Scientology and honestly never imagined I would be able to have the life I always had dreamed of. Being able to start over was incredibly useful universally. And so to afford that opportunity to others is absolutely something I am deeply excited to.
SPEAKER_03There's never really been uh any smooth way for someone to leave Scientology. They're standing for the individual in Scientology who's being used.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Thank you, Mitch Brisker, for your assistance with this awesome work.
SPEAKER_05Nice, awesome. So that's a little promotional video that we had, so we thought we'd play it. And then that's also um gonna kind of play at the event. And so what we're gonna do, because some people were asking, um, hey, what about a live stream? How are we gonna do this? And so what we're gonna do is we're gonna do a live stream uh before the event. And I'm gonna see if I can maybe uh pre-record a video where I walk around and show everybody what's there, and then um where the event's gonna be and all that good stuff. And then we're gonna set up in a room there live, and then we'll have some of the people that are attending, and as maybe four or five people, and um possibly some other guests that we don't know exactly if we're gonna be able to work this with them yet, and then we will um do that, and then it's a show really. Um so, and it's not gonna be a Scientology themed comedy show, it's just gonna be a comedy show.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_05So, for that part, we're not gonna show that, and then we might do a lot, um, we might go live a little bit after. We'll dep the we'll see. I I was trying to do it, I was doing some tests, and it doesn't really look that great if you're doing it on just your phone in terms of the live. So I was with the platform that we use. So um so we'll see. We're gonna try to do it. We're gonna try to show people as much as we can, but you will be able to participate in the online auct the silent auction online. Yes, regardless of whether you're seeing what's happening at the event. But we're gonna do a live.
SPEAKER_00Yep, absolutely. And on the aftermath foundation.org website, if you go to the newsletter page, you can sign up to receive email notifications. We will be sending out reminders. We sent out the link today for the online auction itself. It's still being populated, but that will go live the day before, and it will close um on March 13th at 11 59 p.m. Nice. Yes. So, um, and yes, we will be recording the event simply because this is the first time we're doing an event like this. Um, there are just a lot of variables. So we figured that the pre pre-event live stream would be the best to involve those who can't attend in person in the behind the scenes. And, you know, again, we appreciate all the support. Um, we're really looking forward to seeing everyone who can attend. But if you can't, that's okay. You can join the live stream. And also, you can, if you haven't subscribed to this channel, definitely do so because those notifications will be coming out from YouTube before that live stream.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, an apostate Alex says word of advice. If you're going to stream from your phone, StreamYard sucks. Yes, that's what I was just saying. Do it straight through the YouTube app. Oh, that's a good point because it doesn't that's not putting all those video filters and layers on it. Okay, I'll try that. That sounds like a great idea.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Alex.
SPEAKER_05Um, okay, you want to do some questions?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_05Doing it. This is any stods questions. Okay, here we go.
Platinum, Diamond, And Funding Hate Sites
SPEAKER_00All right, Vernon after Jehovah's Witnesses. Hello, I just became a monthly supporter of the Aftermath Foundation. For supporters, will there be a live stream for the March 11th show? Thank you so much, Vernon. We greatly appreciate your support. And yes, as we just covered, we will do a pre-event live stream and we will be recording the event, and so that way, you know, down the down the line, depending on how all that turns out, we can probably turn that make use of that footage. So there you go.
SPEAKER_05This was a comment. It's a funny comment. I just wanted to show it because Japan of Green Gables.
SPEAKER_00Hi Claire. Did you and Mark survive the time change? I don't know, did we?
SPEAKER_05We did, because we don't have to work 120 hours a week. But I will tell you this when we were in the Seor.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_05And we lost the now.
SPEAKER_00It was devastating.
SPEAKER_05It was basically like a gut punch.
SPEAKER_00It seriously was a gut punch.
SPEAKER_05And it was always on Sunday.
SPEAKER_00So you would you would So not only do you normally have three hours, only three hours to do all your laundry, clean your room, and prepare yourself for a white glove inspection, which if you flunk is just really humiliating and embarrassing. Not only that, but during spring back, that three hours, if you're lucky, gets cut to two hours if you're lucky it was. And then conversely, during fall, when we gain an hour, be like, oh, except that most most often we would just have to stay later.
SPEAKER_05That's exactly right. When they would the time would go when we get it gain an hour, they'd be like, Well, everyone's gonna work till one tonight instead of midnight, or you know, whatever. It was like generally accepted. Like, hey, we're getting an extra hour of production, so you need to stay later. You're like, no, we're getting an extra hour of sleep. It happens in the night while we're sleeping, not now.
SPEAKER_00Oh my goodness. You never get the good end of us. Yeah, no, no doubt. Uh, Prina, evening everyone. Hope you've all had a great day from Reading UK. Good to see you, Petrina. Trevinon, good evening from the Netherlands. Binebeck, hello everyone. What's the Sitch on the live stream? Yes, we've covered that. Thank you for asking. Uh hello from Tuolummy. Hello, everyone from Montana Necessary Trouble. Angela, hi all. Happy Sunday evening from France. Nice. Thank you for joining us. Old Techie, hi from Nebraska. Good to see you.
SPEAKER_05Yes, thank you very much, Bruce. We saw what uh came in this week. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
SPEAKER_00Super appreciative. Clara, hi from the highway. Happy Sunday, folks. Yes, yay. If you can still, if you're anywhere in the in Colorado and able to make the the event, we would love to see you there. Betsy Sue, greetings from Cameron, North Carolina. Good to see you. Hello from Auckland, New Zealand, nice. Japan at Green Gables, hello from New Brunswick, Canada. Angela, oh yeah, we did that one.
SPEAKER_02Oh from France?
SPEAKER_00Satan's thaton, yes. Hello from London, folks. Nice. Satan's thaton. Yeah. Not today, Thayton. Hi from the Netherlands. Good to see you, Anita.
SPEAKER_05Oh, here we go.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Trevon. Google tells me the International Association of Scientologists, IAS, offers a free six-month trial, followed by$250 annually or$5,000 for lifetime memberships.
SPEAKER_05There you go. Yeah, that sounds about right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, when we uh when we were at least speaking for me, when I was moved to the international headquarters, I was given a lifetime membership.
SPEAKER_05Well wow. Another thing they do is they give the children of celebrities our gifted lifetime memberships for their for their for the for the kids.
SPEAKER_00David and Shelly Miscavige, yes.
SPEAKER_05Right. Which is a plastic credit card. It cost them nothing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Ella Blue Travolta when she was born. Marion Pow, who was the PR person in Religious Technology Center, that was Ella's gift. Welcome to the world and welcome to your lifetime of uh being a Scientologist. December Topaz, happy Sunday from West Virginia. Howard, hello from Devon, England. Nice. Betsy Sue, question Do they not have the Freedom Magazine anymore?
SPEAKER_05They do, but they really only do special editions. Like when some they don't they used to have regular magazines, but those people have all been uh excommunicated and and gotten rid of. So now if they have a specific target that they want to do, like at Eli Lilly or the Headleys or something like that, then they do a special issue just for them. We are on the cover. We have a cover issue of freedom. So put it there. Put it down.
SPEAKER_01Boom.
SPEAKER_05Um doing it right, folks. Yeah, so they still do them, but they're they're kind of just really uh targeted on a specific thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Angela, qu a question if topic, but did you keep any mat mannerisms from your time in the cult? Saw an interview with Amy Scoby and Liz Ferris where Liz said she still white gloved her house.
SPEAKER_06But I never heard that. No, we ain't white gloving nothing.
SPEAKER_00No, no. Uh yeah, no. I mean, we've talked we've talked before about how specifically we work to not we work to drop the language as the very first thing when we first got out. Um you know, and we do, I mean, we're Mark and I both have businesses, so we work a lot.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we work. We have a good worth work ethic.
SPEAKER_00We're not we're not um We don't we definitely I would say the opposite is true. We very like we don't tell tell go to our kids, hey, you need to white glove your room.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Hell no, they've never even heard that word.
SPEAKER_06Mostly it's just like clean up and don't have anything on the floor.
SPEAKER_00Stop leaving food in your room. But we don't we don't use Scientology terms at all. The opposite is true. And the only time that Scientology creeps into our language is when we're talking with former members because you it I don't know, it's like for me, it's you can switch over.
SPEAKER_05I can switch over.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't but I don't do it intentionally. It's just that when you know somebody understands what you're saying, you kind of just like stop uh I don't know. I do it to describe it.
SPEAKER_05I do it to troll, really, when we're with somebody. Like if I'm with somebody and then they do something and I'll be like, oh my god, what dev tea? Why are you doing this? And then they laugh because it's funny.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, or you do it to me all the time. So in Scientology, there's called counterintention. Like if you're doing something that you're not following orders exactly, um, and that is, of course, as everything is in Scientology abbreviated. CI. So the abbreviation is CI. So Mark sometimes will be.
SPEAKER_05No, no. But the Europeans in Scientology, for some reason, if you say you have counter intentions, that's uh counterintentions. But in America, we just say you have CI.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05But in Europe, they say you have CIs.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05So I usually say it with a Schwarzenegger accent. I go, I don't want your CIs.
SPEAKER_00He does that to me, folks.
SPEAKER_05Leave L C i's at the door. You've got to work harder.
SPEAKER_00Oh boy.
SPEAKER_05Who's your daddy and what does he do? Okay. Um what's this? That's the one we just showed. Okay, good. Um this is funny, but it never happened.
SPEAKER_00Japan of Green Gables. Did Davey stand at the wheel and pretend he was steering the clipper? No, but I think the wheel is in that famous RTC photo, one of the few photos of all the RTC staff with Dave and Shelley. Isn't the wheel in the middle of that?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's in the RTC picture.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05That's also where they have a picture. Um, somebody sent me a picture of uh from one of the hate sites where I'm playing ping pong. It's right where that picture is. Right, it's like right behind where they shot that picture, is where the ping pong table used to get set up for Sea Org Day.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they're trying to make a case that my life was perfect because for one hour of one year out of 15.
SPEAKER_01They got to play ping pong.
SPEAKER_05Played a mad game of ping pong. So how could he be so bad off if he got to do some ponging?
SPEAKER_00In 1992, folks, he got to ride on a jet ski. Surely that means everything was wonderful.
SPEAKER_06Here's Alex.
SPEAKER_00Postate Alex question: why don't all the powerful OTs just postulate a world where they've cleared the planet and there there's no more SPs? Maybe it's because cause over mest isn't real.
SPEAKER_05In the C org, they have this thing which is we define a Sea Org member the way we define an OT. Cause over matter, energy, space, and time. And so theoretically, between the C org members and the OTs, they should just be able to like And they do have a thing in Florida where if they have a big hurricane coming, they they they send out one of these email blasts to everybody.
SPEAKER_00OT powers activate.
SPEAKER_05They do. They're like, hey, you got to put your intention on this storm and make it go another way. Send it to Georgia. Send it to Kinchamaica. Do not send it to Clearwater. And they do a thing. They really do this, guys. They really are like, everybody needs to postulate that this hurricane takes a turn and don't hit Florida. Don't hit Clearwater.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_05Can go to Orlando, that's not a problem, but it can't hit Clearwater.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_05Oh, if you're if you're out there and you used to be one of these people, you can you could in the bloopita bloops down there in the comments. This is a real thing that they're it is.
SPEAKER_00It really is. It's and that's why it's laughable in retrospect. Anyway.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah. Look at this.
SPEAKER_00Trevanon, you'd be like, stop being so J and D Trevenon. Joking and degrading. Mind you, I think Mark in thoroughly enjoys joking and degrading.
SPEAKER_05Oh, it's the best.
SPEAKER_00It's the best.
SPEAKER_05Um let's see what else. Thank you for yeah, we the Europe.
Streaming Logistics And Auction Details
SPEAKER_00Angela, thanks so much for the Europe friendly live streams. Just love joining the chat and listening to you, both Claire and Mark. Thank you, Angela. And yes, we uh, you know, we're trying to get back to our regularly scheduled programming. We will have a bump coming up in the future. Um, but I'm excited to say that during that bump, we will keep our programming going with a new series that I'm working on called Cult Survivors. Um, which anyway, so if you have interest in being interviewed for that series, it's not dedicated to Scientology, but draws parallels and comparisons. So far, it's been fascinating, and yeah, so it will generate more content coming soon.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, here's the these gets some good comments about the weather here.
SPEAKER_00Okay, one love. That's why it was your fault that the flood happened. It's wild. Yes, exactly. And of course, that's in reference to the August 1990 flood at the international headquarters, where the in every single staff member was assigned a condition of confusion because God forbid.
SPEAKER_05We caused the God did not forbid.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. David Miscavige's birthing was flooded.
SPEAKER_05Well, no, it was really Tom Cruise's future little luxury condo that they were building that they had just basically finished. It was completely filled with mud.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05And um anyway, they were like, You guys didn't stop the precipitation.
SPEAKER_00You have CI's.
SPEAKER_05Oh, here's a good one. Oh my gosh, Bruce, this is perfect. I totally forgot about this.
SPEAKER_00At the Battle of Portland trial, they had a row of OTs operating Thetans trying to influence the judge with their staring eyes. I'm telling you, guys, they really should do a video of that with like, you know, the laser beams on the on the judge.
SPEAKER_06That's a great like they thought they were they thought they were one of the boys, and they'd stand outside the courthouse.
SPEAKER_00It's like a weird zombie version of Care Bears, you know, like with their beams.
SPEAKER_05Go, go power thetans.
SPEAKER_06Who does that? Who does the um the singing on that, uh, Alex? Um and Alex's uh Alex the pasta intro video.
SPEAKER_00It's hilarious. If you haven't seen it, go see it. It's awesome.
SPEAKER_05BT powers are way better than OT powers. 100% because they get shit done.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely.
SPEAKER_05None of this her we're not wasting it on her retains.
SPEAKER_00Nope, nope, absolutely not.
SPEAKER_05Um that's Alex and his mom singing, Catherine says.
SPEAKER_00That's I mean, I mean Wow, Alex and Oh, here it is right here.
SPEAKER_05See? Aha, the singing gets me and my mom.
SPEAKER_00Wow, that's off to you. You and your mom, Alex.
SPEAKER_05Good job. I love that. It's one of the best. Uh Trevanon's charging his lasers.
SPEAKER_00I'm a charge of my lasers. Yeah, there you go.
SPEAKER_05Okay, here's a good one. We got some feedback already.
SPEAKER_00Nice. Cult Survivor sounds like a great series. Let's just hope Lloyd Evans doesn't try to get his big old hooter in it, though. No one needs that. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Does he have some controversy attached to him?
SPEAKER_00I believe so. I to be honest, I don't know the details, but yes, no, I'm not, I'm not looking to um and actually it's new voices. Exactly. And new uh, yeah, anyway.
SPEAKER_05And not just Scientology.
SPEAKER_00And special thank you to Clara for this idea, by the way, um, and for kind of helping me get this off the ground.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, definitely not Scientology. In fact, the contrary, because the to me, um, when you brought in the topic, you there's so much to be learned on the similarities and the control mechanisms and how You know, just good people can get lured into situations like this. So that's the per that's the point.
SPEAKER_05Perfect. Yep. Um, okay. Well, I think we did it. I know we got a uh a lot of comments. We did a the video we did last week with Amy and Matt um went a little long.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And we got a ton of comments that people are like, yeah, longer.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05Longer. We want longer.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_05So we'll we'll try to do that, guys, if if that's what works. Um, oh, here's another one. Here we go.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Angela, please try and get Amanda Ray from the Order. Okay, good, awesome. We'll get on that. Thank you for the suggestion.
Audience Q&A: Culture, Myths, And “OT Powers”
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Hey. Um, okay, Doki. Oh, here's another one.
SPEAKER_00Japanic Green Gables. I remember Jackson said that after David Miscavige freaked out at everyone about the flood, he went back to his apartment and played Nintendo. Yeah, for sure. That's true, David Miscavige style, right?
SPEAKER_05You know what though? David Miscavige likes him some Mario Kart. I know this first hand. Firsthand.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_05Mario Kart. What's the other one I think they liked? They had a Wii.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00They had a set it up for them multiple times.
SPEAKER_05It was before the Wii.
SPEAKER_00It was before we.
SPEAKER_05They had a uh N NS, Nintendo NS or whatever they called it back then. Had cartridges, whatever it was.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_05Um okay. I think we're good. Oh, did you say cult to c I saw cult to consciousness on there? Somebody said, oh, I missed it. It's gone forever. Oh, here it is.
SPEAKER_00Uh Cults to Consciousness does an excellent job. Yes, 100%.
SPEAKER_05Is that Shiliansola?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, she does a great, great job. And yeah, we're not um again, it's just conversations and drawing parallels specifically, I think can be very helpful. Like we I think it's fair to say that when we went on Mormon Stories podcast, that was one of the most re revelatory parts of the conversation was seeing how many things were similar and how many things are like, oh, well, we have this. And and John Delyn or Margie would be like, oh yeah, we have this, and we'd be like, Yeah. Mind blown. Uh auditing Scientology. I had a sign which read, an OT, an operating Thetan person, can control matter, energy, space, and time, but can't handle a protester. Yes, brilliant. Absolutely. They cannot confront and jetter suppression. Becky, big brother fan, why is flag hurricane and stormproof, hurricane and stormproof if Scientology have the power to avoid extreme weather? Great question. Uh, you know.
SPEAKER_06They don't.
SPEAKER_05And you know, there was a lot of times where they would do this whole rigmarole. Like everybody's got to really postulate that the that the storm turns. Um, that's what they use in Scientology. They say postulate or use your intention. Get your intention into the storm to move it or whatever. But postulate is is a very heavy, heavily used. Like you it's and and I would so sort of like visioning, uh envisioning or manifesting.
SPEAKER_00Manifesting. That's what I was gonna say. I would say that the real world language equivalent of that is manifesting. Like you're gonna manifest X, Y, and Z. Yeah, but that's that's what they mean when they say it you're gonna postulate.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. So they do that.
SPEAKER_00Positive affirmation. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06They do that, and then the frickin' storm would obliterate the place, and then you'd be like, what happened?
SPEAKER_00What happened? What do you guys think? Good to ethics. You didn't you didn't you know?
SPEAKER_05We don't need those three string OTs. We need the first stringers in here jamming their intentions.
SPEAKER_01Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_05Oh my goodness. Okay. Oh, what is this? C2C is about to deliver.
SPEAKER_00Cult to consciousness is about to deliver. Okay, sounds good.
SPEAKER_05Bonanza. Tune in. I don't know what that means.
SPEAKER_00I don't either.
SPEAKER_05We'll have to take it out.
SPEAKER_00It's a big old. Oh, deliver.
SPEAKER_05Deliver a baby.
SPEAKER_00Oh, another one?
SPEAKER_05I don't know. I don't I'm not keeping up on this. I'm not on the Facebooks and the social media.
SPEAKER_00I'll reach out to Shalise. When when they had their first baby, we sent them. I I always have a favorite gift that I love to give from us, FYI, which is like this really cute little bear that's themed for if it's a boy or a girl, and it has all their um you know, date of birth, the weight, like it's really, really cute. So we sent them that when they had their first baby.
SPEAKER_05Amazing.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_05Look at that, guys.
SPEAKER_00You learn something new every day.
SPEAKER_05Somebody says she is with child.
SPEAKER_00Yep, her second baby. Nice, awesome. That's great.
SPEAKER_05I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I know they moved to Texas. I think that's a good one.
SPEAKER_05I don't I don't go on social media that much.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_05But I said I want to say a month or two ago I went on there and um and I follow her channel on whatever social media I do have, but I don't really go on it. And it she was dancing or doing something on it. And I was like, uh okay. I did not know she was a dancer.
SPEAKER_04Nice. Um oh, co comment. Uh here we go.
SPEAKER_00Eaglewood comment, Eli Yoder is an escaped Amish. Nice, awesome. That'll be see there you go. We're getting great feedback already.
SPEAKER_05Look at this big brother fan. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Gift organized by Clara, not Mark, of course. Of course. Um I mean, that's uh, you know, I'm the details gal.
SPEAKER_06That's her job. She does that stuff.
SPEAKER_00Mark doesn't arrive on site if I don't organize everything.
SPEAKER_05So I'm doing my dream.
SPEAKER_00He's good. Teamwork makes the dream work, folks. Isn't that right, honey?
SPEAKER_05Here's another one. See what we're prospecting at the close.
SPEAKER_00Eli has a great channel. Nice, awesome. I will check that out. Thank you for the recommendation.
SPEAKER_05She's these people are jamming it up. They got all kinds of things. Yeah, I love it. I love it. Oh, here we go. Poof.
SPEAKER_00Jonathan Hirsch was an Adidas. He would be a good guest. He made that podcast, Dear Franklin Jones, which is excellent, and had Ford Green in an episode.
SPEAKER_06Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_00Wow. Interesting.
SPEAKER_06That's very definitely.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we like Ford. Um, okay. Um, here we go. Uh no. Mm-mm.
SPEAKER_00Can you switch it back? Love Food Kitchen, at Beg Becky, Big Brother fan. That FYI was letting him know for the first time.
SPEAKER_06It's talking about you giving the the the the the bear. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00He had no idea. He found out it's one of those T I L today. I learned that we gave Shalise and Jonathan.
SPEAKER_02T I L thing?
SPEAKER_00Yes. Of course. Telling you. Another another T I L. T I L, I learned what T I L is.
SPEAKER_05Double T L A. What is it? T T I T I L. Double T I L Day.
SPEAKER_01That's awesome.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh my goodness. Are we having too much fun? Thank you to everybody in the channel.
SPEAKER_05Um do-ba-do-ba-do. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00All right. This is a good point. So basically, they're telling the storm to go F over some other people who are less capable of handling it. Exactly. Great point.
SPEAKER_05So the if there's any time that the storm is heading for the for Clearwater, Tampa area, and it avoids that, you could be like, Yeah, thanks, Scientology.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. Well, yeah, because it that's the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics is for some other place to be hit by said storm than Scientology. So there you go.
SPEAKER_05Oh, here's the answer to the question here, by the way.
SPEAKER_00Okay, Angela, thanks for answering my question. And yes, it's an interview about Celebrity Center with Amy and Liz. Got it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, because Amy used to be WDC Celebrity Center. Watchdog Committee member for Celebrity Center. Yes. And Liz Ferrish used to work at Celebrity Center.
SPEAKER_00Right.
