The scariest part about talking openly isn’t the haters, it’s how many people still inside quietly listen because they can’t safely ask questions where they are. Marc and I share the kinds of messages we get from “under the radar” Scientologists: what their local orgs look like right now, how empty things feel, and how the constant push to buy updated materials turns belief into a never-ending bill. We also talk about why these notes matter, because they confirm something we’ve seen for decades: the behavior doesn’t fade, it just gets repackaged.

We dig into the control system that keeps people stuck, from family pressure and disconnection to the way status and donations have become the real currency under David Miscavige. We discuss disturbing reports around reproductive coercion, and we explain why Scientology’s new push toward children, including books aimed at kids as young as seven, deserves serious scrutiny. Claire also previews an upcoming deep dive with Anne Gollert Hill, whose linguistics background can help unpack how these materials shape a child’s thinking and compliance.

From there we zoom out to the machinery that keeps the Sea Org running: second-generation recruitment, foreign nationals brought in on religious worker visas, and the reality of labor that has nothing to do with religion. We also talk resources members are reading in secret, including Tony Ortega’s Underground Bunker, plus updates on HowdyCon and a must-watch documentary that shows how Scientology fractures families. And because community wins matter, we share the Disneyland trip we helped fund for Serge’s 50th birthday, along with listener Q and A on graduations, GEDs, trade school, and what life looks like after leaving.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, that's always fun.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Welcome back. Get in the chat. Clara and I can't chat.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_00

That sounds exciting. That sounds always exciting. Okay, let's see what let's see what's doing here. Gotta love it, man. Gotta love it. We we it's a podcast. Yeah, there you go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're good. Oh wow, that's super dark.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, good. That's what it was. Okay. So here, you guys get to see us do this real

Messages From Under The Radar Members

SPEAKER_00

time then. Okay. So we're gonna just adjust this up here a little bit until I look deep. So there we go.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, let's do the same to Claire. There you go. Okay, let's do the same to the main camera.

SPEAKER_01

Thanks, folks, for tuning in this fine Sunday. We're obviously out of practice. Mark is back in the house, but we didn't uh get down here today.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

Let's not lie to the people. Let's not lie to the people. Don't go throwing me under the bus, honey. I am not gonna have it. You're already under there.

SPEAKER_00

And I hate to break it to you. We had a little bit of trouble before we started, and some things were unplugged. And I asked Claire if she unplugged them. She said she didn't. I went and found all the things that were unplugged. I plugged them back in. And then I said, Did you ever take that laptop anywhere to do anything with? And she said, Yes, I did. And I said, When you did that, that's when you unplugged everything.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Kidafi.

SPEAKER_00

So we're good now. Let's just see if we can switch around here.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, we're good. So now I get to say hello, everybody. Thank you for joining us this fine Sunday. Mark has been a very busy man.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know, I was gone for basically two weeks. I was gone for.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, you've been bouncing all over the place. So we've had a hard time getting to our regular scheduled Sundays. So just not here. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

But um I do want to say that while I was gone, we got in a bunch of different messages from people.

SPEAKER_03

We did.

SPEAKER_00

And um and one of the things that I wanted to bring up is that we know we might not have a gazillion views on this channel, but a lot of them are Scientologists that are quote unquote under the radar.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And we hear from these people uh at least once or twice a week, we hear from people. And one of the uh messages that we got this week um was from a family who pretty much the pretty much the whole family was able to get out.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And they said that they watch the channel and they you know, they they know the things that are happening in their local Church of Scientology. In almost all cases, they know that it's not what Scientology is saying it is.

SPEAKER_03

Aaron Ross Powell Right.

SPEAKER_00

And they know that the org is empty, the organization Scientology facility there where they are is either empty or they're dragging people in that don't want to come in and they're trying to get people to buy things that they've already bought multiple times. They don't need another new one that has semicolons and periods in the right place or whatever the new excuses are. And um they know a lot of that.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

But then there's a lot of things they don't know. They don't know why these people got moved here or these people disappeared, or and a lot of times we answer a lot of those questions for people.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And fill in the blanks.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And and I will say, too, that um some of the messages we got recently made me really pause to think about it because we've been talking about Scientology. I mean, we got out, what, almost 21 years ago.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And this channel is absolutely proof Scientology will not change. Because all the things we're talking about, they're still doing. They're still destroying families, they're still hurting elderly people, they're still hurting children, they're still doing all those things. Like never once have we had somebody reach out to us and say, Oh, you know what? You're right, they used to do that, but guess what? They're not doing that anymore. It's never happened.

SPEAKER_00

We did get, we did get a message from somebody saying, hey, they're not making um they're not making women um terminate pregnancies anymore, but they are now having the males get a procedure so that they can't have kids. And so you're like, that's that's almost even worse than the other one, or equally bad.

SPEAKER_01

Equally bad. Equally bad, interfering with people's personal choices and not giving them the freedom to do what they want. But also, so you know, we talked about that um the new books that Scientology released in March targeting children ages seven and up. So thank you to the under the radar friend. We now have a full set of those books, and I'm going to do a deep dive with Anne Gollert Hill, um, who was, you know, I remember I did part one with her last week of her um experien her Scientology story. Part two will come out next week. But she has a linguistics degree. So I thought, what better person to kind of deep dive into the Scientology books and show what is so destructive about this to children? But to your point, I was thinking about it too, going, so during our lawsuit, which was 2009 to 2012, is when a lot of people, a lot of Sea Org members got pregnant during that time or after that, and left. And those people are now out of Scientology or out of the C organization, I should say. And they have children. And guess what? Those children are in the exact age range that Scientology is now targeting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. The the other crazy thing about Scientology is the C org is made up of mostly children of Scientologists. For the large majority. It's it's four nationals who lived in a country where they for three hots and a cot seemed like a great deal to them. Right. So they could get to America on a sneaky visa thing that Scientology's doing. Um they're hiring these people as religious workers. They're coming over to the United States to work in Florida or California or wherever. And then they're not doing anything religious related. They're cleaning hotel rooms or they're, you know, they're doing something that has nothing that would never ever qualify as a religious visa. And um they've got those guys, and then they've got the children of Scientologists.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And a lot of the children end up being in management positions because they're they haven't done drugs, they haven't uh been a criminal for years, they haven't, they don't have a warrant or haven't had uh a real education. Yeah. They got they left school early.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um so yeah, so that is pretty much what the Sea Org makes up. So if you could uh talk to the ex-Sea Org members or just uh Scientologists in general that are on the interwebs, they're all looking at Scientology stuff. This is one thing that we've found. They're all looking at stuff. Whether they're supposed to or not, they are looking.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Whether or not they're engaging or they're continually following or they're using an account that would identify them, that is all uh uh up for debate. But they definitely are watching and they're definitely looking around and seeing stuff. And the ones that are able to basically say, yeah, this is that they're not. I mean, no one's ever come on here that we've talked to or a former member who said, Oh yeah, that's totally not what's happening. There's that's never happened. No, it's always, yeah, that is what's happening. And not only that, they're doing this other thing now that they didn't used to do that's even worse. And you're and you're just like, this is getting crazy. So it was good to get some of those, good to read some of those feedback.

Why Scientology Never Reforms

SPEAKER_00

And we also get we get um on our podcast, um, there's a way to send fan mail. It's a weird system. We can read it, but we can't answer it.

SPEAKER_01

No, they actually just changed it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So now we can respond. They just changed it after I complained like 20 times because people would send us messages, and to me, it's super frustrating.

SPEAKER_00

We had no way of answering.

SPEAKER_01

It's like this is so dumb.

SPEAKER_00

Does that mean we can respond to all the ones we've gotten so far? Or just new.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if it's retroactive. I'll have to take a look at that.

SPEAKER_00

Either way, we get to we get fan mail on the podcast if you go to Apple or Spotify or wherever you get podcasts.

SPEAKER_01

What's it called? Buzz Sprout?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it comes through a platform that we use. But we can see the fan mail being sent in, and according to Claire, we can now answer.

SPEAKER_01

They finally just like a week ago. Guess what? You can now respond. I'm like, finally, geez.

SPEAKER_00

We also get feedback through um if you go to blownforgood.com, the merch site if you where you can get Xenu is my homeboy sweaters or you know, what's the one? Xenu and the body thetans. We still don't have to be able to do that.

SPEAKER_01

Someone was just commenting about the the artwork behind you.

SPEAKER_00

We are going to do the 2026 she says that it's gonna be 2027 by you guys by the time you guys work up some. I worked up a ton of merch with help from Clara. I'm pretty sure you guys could do something.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, we can.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, um you can also uh through that platform, the merch when you can write messages or whatever. Um and then we also have the SP shop, which supports every all the purchases from the spshop.com go to uh the aftermath supporting the Michael J. Render Aftermath Foundation. So um bobbleheads.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, we will today do a damn ity giveaway.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, good. One of these little guys, one of our little little pals here. Look the coaster's stuck to his butt.

SPEAKER_01

That's pretty funny.

SPEAKER_00

What happened to you, Davy? What did you did you make a mess? Did you make a messy? I make a messy. Um Yes. Awesome. Yeah, I just wanted to say, tell you guys that, you know, we're here, we hear you. When you write in and you make comments, we do I do go through the comments quite quite often in the videos and kind of answer questions and like things and stuff like that. So we we hear you, we see you. Um The other thing I was thinking about was they've got these people that are uh working with the current uh administration in the United States for the president and all that stuff. They've got these people in there. And I really think they might be getting played a little way too, because these people are donating, these are people that have donated tens or hundreds of millions of dollars to Scientology. And now they're donating to campaign funds and they're doing all this stuff. And when that all changes over, that money's gone forever. They don't get that, they don't get to keep all that status of I'm the one who gave you know $10 million to this or that or the other thing. But in Scientology, they keep whatever level they they unless they go seriously to the dark side. Um that's another thing. In Scientology, when you look on the internet about what's being said about Scientology, within Scientology they say, uh, uh-oh, he turned to the dark side. That's literally what they say.

SPEAKER_01

That's what they told me the day you were escaping. Oh, he went to the dark side.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like, what? What are you talking about? He called 911. Yeah. So it's a crime. It is a crime in Scientology to call 911. Nothing proves it more than that to me. I mean, there's many things that prove it, but yeah. You're escaping, and and you didn't even call 911. That's the irony.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, somebody driving by did. Surprise. Other people don't like it when you run people off the road either.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, whoops. You mean we're not supposed to do that?

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, these people that are donating all this money, uh, Scientology it's kind of weird because it doesn't matter which, if it's the Republicans or if it's the Democrats. It doesn't matter who's in office for Scientology to have their fingers mixed in that pie somewhere. They got people in both camps that they rely on, and they'll donate to both camps. There's some uh there it seems to be more Republican slanted in Scientology of the the members, especially the members that are donating all this money. But when we had that uh war is over, the IRS exemption event at the LA Sports Arena, Bill Clinton wrote a letter of congratulations at that event. Like, hey, well welcome to the whatever. Congratulations on getting away with it. And um so they've got it doesn't matter. It doesn't really matter who's in there. They've got they've got ways to try to influence that. For the good for for better or worse.

SPEAKER_01

Um I I like this comment. L Ron Fuddy Duddy says, wait a minute, who did you say is in charge of my scam? I mean cult I mean religion.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

That is another point, is that uh LRH was diabolical and how he kind of figured all this out, how he could manipulate people and through disconnection and families kind of be able to have a lever on pretty much all the members. Um but miscavige, after uh L. Ron Hubbard died in 1986, Miscavige has kind of tweaked this thing up uh even a lot more.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

By just adding the donation for nothing component

Sea Org Recruitment And Visa Workarounds

SPEAKER_00

with these status levels, which Hubbard specifically said not to do that.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Um by David Miscavige doing that, he really has made it so he doesn't really need Scientology to do anything. They can just keep showing, you know, they passed out way to happiness books in Africa and they did this and you know, this place, and there's everyone everywhere loves Scientology. It's the best thing ever. No one's ever denied that. You know, all the propaganda videos that they do, and they're in that bubble, and they're big bigwigs, they're whales in Scientology because they gave a bunch of money. So they're living their best life in that bubble, and they don't really care if they're OT eight or they did all their training and they can s you know get rid of space cooties at will. You know, none of that really even matters as long as they give the money.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, did we want to do um some questions?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Pop your questions in the chat, folks.

SPEAKER_00

Um, another thing I've I just wanted to say one last thing. The other thing that I realized after the we get these um people that write in, the amount of people that read Tony Ortega's underground bunker is astonishing to me.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Because they can go to any there's there's decades of content there of all the things that are going on and all the families that got broken up and all the families that got back together, and all the and so the Scientologists are are reading all of that. And it is a chronological history um of all the different things that have happened in Scientology from the earliest days, because he has these research like uh I think his name's Chris, who does these like war um stories of L. Ron Hubbard and exact records and stuff like that. Yes, but they have people they have he's got resources of people that are looking at things and going, okay, I have all these original records of Elron Hubbard. This is what happened. These are all the things. This is when he got arrested. This is when he he you know divorced his second wife that did never exist. Uh existed.

SPEAKER_01

And the second wife he didn't have. Yeah, the second wife he didn't have because it's totally normal to go from a first wife to a third wife. There's an interview.

SPEAKER_00

There's an interview with L. Ron Hubbard in England, and he is now married to Mary Sue Hubbard.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And he was previous it is, he did admit that he was married um early on. And so then when there was a reporter asking him, so what about your second wife? And he's like, I've never had a second wife. But he has a third wife. It's the craziest answer ever. Yeah. We know he has at least a second wife because he's married again. But he says, Oh no, I never had a second wife. Only a first and a third wife. Oh my goodness. Oh, yes. You get some questions? What's happening?

SPEAKER_01

Um, speaking of which, oh, never mind. Oh, yeah, no. So I did want to mention in September, um, it will be speaking of Tony Ortega in the underground bunker, there is the HowdyCon 2026 event.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And it was completely sold out. Um, I will be speaking at that event, and the proceeds benefit the Michael J. Render Aftermath Foundation for that event. Um, anyway, they just opened up new tickets. Oh, they got it. So there's a few left. Yeah. I just checked. Um, but yeah, it's gonna be fun. Catherine will be there, Phil Jones, um, Chris Shelton, apostate Alex, Jeff Levin. So it's a lot of people. Oh, that's another thing.

SPEAKER_00

Jeff Levin's um we have Brothers Broken, yeah. Yeah, we've got to put a link to that so people can go and watch that. Yes. Um, it's amazing. You can see um, it's just another real example of how Scientology messes with families, how they messed with a band, like a musical band. They had a uh big hit in the 70s and then Scientology wiped them out.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Um Yeah, go watch that. We'll put a link in the description if it's not there already. Um right uh when the video's over. We we'll put a link to uh Jeff Levin's um Brothers Broken documentary.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Oh, Jacob says, yes, I'm stoked for HowdyCon. Yay! Wow, yeah. That'll be fun. I know summer is just starting, but we really need to bring back the iconic BFG Christmas jumper and maybe a new design for this year. Clara, get on it.

SPEAKER_00

Wow. Look at that. I like that. Um, come on with this merch. Let's get some new merch. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, we are uh a little the worse for wear on scheduling with Mark's travel. And uh yeah, yesterday we had our middle sons high school graduation party.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

That was amazing.

SPEAKER_00

That's two humans we've hatched through the uh the education system.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I know. Brilliant. I love it. I'm like, holy moly, it feels surreal. We have two down, one to go. Um three salt life. Claire, I loved your video with Anne Gaulart Hill last week. Cannot wait till you have her back on. Yes, thank you so much. I know it was such a pleasure to um I mean, Ann and I I was checking going back through. She goes Got out in 2007 and we started chatting on Facebook almost immediately. And I my first message was to her was like, Oh my god, I can't believe it's you. And um, but this was the first time we've actually talked.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And so anyway, yeah, we did part one that we released last week, and part two will be coming out this coming Sunday because Mark and I will both be gone. Um, but then after that we'll be back again for to get into our regularly scheduled programming for a uh for a little bit.

SPEAKER_00

I remembered her a l really well when when I was there because I think when she was in she was in the marketing area at the Golden Air Productions. And um and one one of my at one of my posts, I was responsible for overseeing some of the stuff that they were doing. And um and I always remember her being kind of like an outlier. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

She was a little bit she did I know I told her that when in our conversation, I was like, to me, because when she first got to the base, it was 1993. Yeah. And at that time I was still a supervisor, meaning uh uh the Scientology equivalent of a teacher. Like I would oversee the people studying training and stuff like that. And um, so I was her supervisor on her key to life course. And from the minute I met her, she stuck uh stood out. Like she was like technicolor. That's what I told her. I was like, Yeah, that's a good analogy. Bright, vivacious person that did not fit the mold.

SPEAKER_00

Uh the light in her eyes hadn't gone out yet.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And David Miscabin's. You know, she was telling me the story that um she got approved to marry her husband, Andrew Bradley.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

She was not even in the C organization yet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And sh so they got a pr special approval to get married.

SPEAKER_00

Was he in the Sea Org? Yes, he was a Sea Org member.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, sorry, I missed that part.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But the only way she was allowed to marry him was on the condition that when she was called, she would report to duty for her Sea Org contract. And a week later, they showed up to get her to report for duty. It's like, oh my God.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm I it's funny though, when you when you say that is that there are people in Los Angeles that that's what they strive to do is to get to the int base, to get posted at the int base. And they're super excited about it and they want to go there and they think it's this paradise. Right. And then they get there, and it's uh it's absolutely worse than wherever they were.

SPEAKER_01

Aaron Powell Right. And I think uh I've been working through that in real in my book because you have this concept like, oh, it will be much better there and it will be survivable. Yeah. Right? Like okay, fine. I'm I'm in this billion-year contract now. Why not make the best, try to make the best of it?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I want to be at the best place if I'm gonna be here forever.

SPEAKER_01

Right. But then you don't know where it is before you go there. You're not allowed to know the location, and you've never seen it before. You don't have to be able to do it.

SPEAKER_00

Unless you Google on the interweb's golden era productions or the whole. It's even just listed as the whole.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, you don't have any way to know really, besides what the kind of the the lore of the oh yeah, I heard they have this and they have that, and that's the right thing. That's where Tom Cruise goes. Tom Cruise has been there, and you know, that's where David Miscavige lives, and they have a and that's also where he works, and you know, who knows what the rumors are. And then you get there and it's almost like, oh my god, what have I done? Like I went to the I can't go back, you can you can't go back down without getting in trouble.

Tony Ortega Resources And HowdyCon Update

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's rough. Anyway, but it's always it was all we would see those people right when they would arrive. Yeah. And they were so excited, I'm gonna be able to do this, and we can do this, and you know, I've got all these ideas, and and then, you know, David Miscavige spots him and he's like, Whoop, the the light's a little bright in this one's eyes. We need to dim it down. Need to crunch them down. Yeah. And he is the he's like a dementor, you know, he just sucks the life out of everything.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, completely.

SPEAKER_00

He's also the exact opposite of that. When you get there and you're all excited and you want to do this and you want to do that, he's like the polar opposite, like the negative version of that. Like you guys suck, you can't do anything, you know, just so it's kind of crazy. And the and some of the the people that we talk to, they they do credit miscavage with sort of prompting them to leave.

SPEAKER_01

For sure. A lot of people do.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, by something he said to one of the family members, something happened to one of the Sea Org members, the kids or the parents that were in the C org. And there's always some connection that leads all the leads back to Ms. Gavage.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Or they got were trying to sell them books that, you know, we why do we need a whole set of all of the books? And why does my wife need a set and I need a set? You know, things like that they get pushed down on them because Miss Gavage is like to see your members, you're not going home tonight until you sell a set of books. Like you don't go home until you sell a set of books. And then that's how they end up charging dead people accounts, people that are no longer alive, that had money on account in Scientology. Those people were the most amount of people buying books when they first come out.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, we got another question, more questions. Any questions?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, here we go. Here's a question from Jacob Harkey. Question I'm curious, since you're talking about your kids' graduations, what job did each of you have when you were the age of each of your kids currently? Congratulations congrats to you both and your son, by the way. That's a great question. It is a great question.

SPEAKER_00

Look at you.

SPEAKER_01

So so yeah, so uh our middle son now is 18. Um so when you were 18.

SPEAKER_00

When I was eighteen, I was at was making I was the quality control making cassettes at the imp base.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was the person who checked the cassettes when they after they were manufactured and put in first on a pancake when they're just on a big giant reel of 30 cassettes all on one reel. I would check them there, and then I would check them by listening to the cassette compared to the original master report.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you were 18 when I first met you.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

Um and then you were 19 and I was seventeen when we got married. But yeah, so for f for sure, like talking about our son now just graduating high school, by the when he was the age when we were that age, I was a supervisor in the training department of Golden Era Productions and had been married to you for a year. It's just crazy to think about. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And we had I I, in my case, by the time I was 18, I had already been working for three years full-time, a hundred hours a week. Yeah from fifth starting at 15, 16, 17, all the way up to 18.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Which is crazy to me when I think about these guys. You know, I can't even get them to work five days a week, you know, eight hours a day.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they're they're good kids.

SPEAKER_00

I understand, but I'm saying But they are kids. But I'm saying I have to turn off I have to turn off that part, like, you know, listen, son, I was working three times this much three years ago. Take it easy. Show up for work sometimes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. No, it that's that was that's a great question, Jacob. Thank you for the super chat. It was very good.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, thank you. Oh, yeah. Oh yeah. And the other, so our youngest son is 13. And um, so again, in working through my whole timeline, I've been talking to my my family members who were never in Scientology and hearing their perspective.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And one of the things that I'd forgotten about that I just that they told me about recently, and they were like, is this true? And I'm like, Oh yeah, that's totally true. Which is that um when so when I was 13, they were my mom and my stepdad were planning to move to the US and they were trying to figure out how to leave me behind.

SPEAKER_00

And then Oh yeah, leave you with another family.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And then that family they you'd stay in the Sea Org or stay in Scientology. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

And these guys would just go off to start their new life in America without the redheaded stepchild, aka me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, but what I didn't know is that at that time, my grandmother, my mom's mom, who is the only good person in my I mean, she I loved her so much. Uh she was trying to adopt me at that time. And I was like, wait, what?

SPEAKER_00

You could have had a whole different setup.

SPEAKER_01

I know, but you know, I I told I've told my family, like, yes, it sucks, and they're going through a lot in processing, you know, like, oh, we should have rescued you. I'm like, you know what? My experiences made me who I am today. And as much as some of it is really hard and shitty and all that, um there's not a day that goes by right now that I'm not grateful for the life I have.

SPEAKER_00

So nice.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I like this. This is a great comment. Not really a question.

SPEAKER_01

Mr. Headley, I'm in the middle of reading your book. It's unput downable. You should sell the story to Hollywood. Thank you for reading.

SPEAKER_00

Why thank you.

SPEAKER_01

I appreciate that. Unput downable. I like that word.

SPEAKER_00

I do. That's a great one. That's why it stood out. I was like, somebody's yelling in the comments here. And I was like, oh, that's good. They're they're yelling, they're yelling good stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Um, oh, what's for anyone who prefers audible? Mark, you recorded the book yourself, which I think is awesome. And I do. I'm planning to do the same. Oh, good. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I do do voices in my book as well. So like when when somebody's in all in certain situations. What's the matter with Mark? That's the one what's the matter with Mark? When Muriel is a very important thing. The port captain's driving, uh following us when the police are, she just pulls up next to us. What's the matter with Mark? That's really that's funny that I that when they ran Scientology ran me off the road when I was trying to escape, and then the cops showed up to figure out what was going on. Somebody from 911 called. But they were kind of like, I was telling them, I because I didn't want to cause a lot of trouble. I was like, no, no, I'm good. They I had uh I was trying to go and they wanted me to do something, they needed something, but I gotta go to my dad in Kansas City. And then when Muriel pulls up, she goes, What's the matter with Mark? They're like, Oh, I see what's going on. They're trying to get this guy back there. Yep. As soon as that happened, they were like, gigs up. We know, we know. Now she just completed. We were suspicious, she just she locked it in.

SPEAKER_01

She she put the last jigsaw puzzle piece into place in his. For the cops. Yeah, right. Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, but um, but I think up until then it's just situations are happening or whatever, but then I don't remember if I did I it's funny, I do not remember on the Audible if I did voices for for other people like that too. Instead of just saying, just reading the words. But I know I did a few here and there.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I did have to edit, I cracked myself up too. So I did have to edit out fits of of giggles and little laughs and chuckles throughout the recording. Yeah. But some I kind of left in too that were really funny.

SPEAKER_01

You know, just like a little uh So if when I record my audiobook, will you be the director? Because you're much better at that than me, honestly. You're just kind of naturally uh I know, but you know what?

SPEAKER_00

It's gonna be it's a lot. I'd recorded I think I recorded about two or three chapters a day when I was doing it. And um it was a lot. Just for me to do it.

SPEAKER_01

You won't agree to be my director.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's best, uh well, in my case, this is how I did it, is that I recorded it,

Graduation Reflections And Working As Teens

SPEAKER_00

and if I didn't like it, then I would retake it. So I don't know if somebody else interpreting it and also the way you're delivering it is the wrong way, because you know the right way, not me. You know what I'm saying? That's how I kind of think about it. And then also, there's some things I'm way more nitpicky. I'm like super crazy like that. Like I think you I think that would be the that would be the end of it right there. You're gonna read that. You're gonna read a 300 you're gonna read a 300 page book and I'm gonna critique every single sentence of it at how you say it. I don't know. That seems like a bridge we don't want to go across, babe. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna we're you you don't want me to die on that hill.

SPEAKER_00

I just no, no, I'm the one that's gonna die on the hill. I'm gonna be like, where's the energy you had yesterday or last week?

SPEAKER_01

No, but I I would appreciate that though.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, see, we'll have to figure this out. We did maybe not figure it out live on a live stream. Maybe we could talk about it someplace else. Okay, good idea.

SPEAKER_01

Accepted.

SPEAKER_00

Holy moly. Um there we go.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Amy, my child just graduated high school. Beyond being incredibly proud, I'm also deeply relieved. They won't have to experience the cult, its pressure, or its control. That's a gift I'm grateful for daily. Well, yes, Amy, congratulations, absolutely. And yes, I completely agree. Like, oh my gosh. I mean, Mark and I didn't even go to high school, let alone graduate.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's the craziest thing ever, is our 13-year-old, the math and the things that he was doing last year were higher than I'd ever, I'd not this was I literally was like, holy molly, they've got alien, they're teaching these kids alien language shit. I don't know what this means. But I realized in the Scientology school, at least at the Delphi Academy, where I went in Los Angeles, it's just courses. It's like modules of things that you do.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And they want you to have the bare amount of the three Rs. Reading, arithmetic, and writing. They want you to have the bare minimum of that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. That's that's the only thing that's important to them so that you can then study Scientology.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's the reason that's the only reason those things are important to them. Trevor Burrus,

SPEAKER_00

Jr. But they're not doing advanced stuff. And the advanced stuff they're doing is almost the very last two or three forms. They have form, I guess, one through eight. And form eight is graduating. And I was on form six when I left. So I still had two giant stuff of all the advanced stuff. So I however it worked out, uh that me that meant even though I was there till I was like fourteen or fifteen. I know I was in the CRG at fifteen, so probably yeah, probably fourteen, I didn't do the stuff a twelve-year-old was doing these days.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So then I that's when people will always accuse us of being high school dropouts. And we realized one day we ain't even been up in middle school. We didn't finish that one.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, hey now, what's your language there?

SPEAKER_00

Let's be specific, okay? I never did high school. I'm not a dropout, okay? I'm a middle school dropout, if anything.

SPEAKER_01

Um you two met, was it Love at First Sight, Toons Malloy?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. No, not really. I tried to get Claire. Um, I tried to hook her up with the guy that was my the person I study with each night. Um, and he was from England. And he knew her as a kid.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I was like, I am marrying somebody from the cadet organization. I'm no thank you, sir. Way too many bad memories.

SPEAKER_00

He was he was not up for it either. So I was like, eh, I guess I'll take a crack at it. See what I see what I can do.

SPEAKER_01

Um What age did they marry? Us?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um I was 17 and you were 19.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

August 1919.

SPEAKER_00

19. I was just 19.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like I'd been at my birthday's in May. So I had just turned 19 and you had it was you'd been seventeen for six months or whatever when we got married.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But we got married in Vegas. Mark's dad, Bernie, drove us there because we didn't have a car.

SPEAKER_00

We had to get special approval because in California, if you're if you get married before the age of 18, then you have to do a psychiatric evaluation and you have to get your blood tests. Blood tests. And Scientology is not cool with any of that.

SPEAKER_01

No. So for a lot of people for a a lot of the teens that got married at that property or in the C organization period, would go to Vegas to get a a marriage certificate. Um and there's so many people that Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And because the reason Vegas was so popular is the courthouse in Vegas is 24 hours, if you don't know that. If anybody out there has never been to Las Vegas, Las Vegas doesn't have a normal schedule like everywhere else in the world. So you can get married at 4 30 in the morning if you want to.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And additionally, there are wedding chapels that are also open 24 hours. Yep. So you can go to the courthouse, pay uh I don't know what it is debt now. Let's say 50 bucks, you pay 50 bucks for a marriage license, you get that approved, you sign it, your wife signs it, all that, you fill out all the paperwork, you jam right down the strip to a mi a chapel, and you can get married, and also as you have to have a witness. As the witness, it could be Elvis Presley, it could be Dolly Parton, it could be John Travolta, it could be whoever you want to be the witness. They've got a suit and a wig and a dude that looks like that person, and he shows up and he's like, Yeah, cool, baby.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Elvis wasn't on duty when we got when when we did our ceremony. Well, I remember first of all, I remember that getting the license to me was comparable to returning overdue library books. That's what it felt like.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it took five minutes.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Exactly. It was like, oh, here's the paperwork, we're in line. Yeah. That was the other thing. It was like close to midnight.

SPEAKER_00

And there was a line.

SPEAKER_01

It was a line to get to get the go down to the steps outside.

SPEAKER_00

I r specifically remember like that it was so long that we were outside and we had to get inside in the

Audiobook Stories And Getting A GED

SPEAKER_00

line.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and we were like, wait, this is the line for licenses. And then so we got the license, and then they're like, okay, just go to the chapel, you know, whatever, blah, blah, blah. And then we walked in there, and it was some old dude, balding dude in like tan shirt and and brown pants, and he was dozing off in the back. And he and we walked in, there was nobody else there. It was just you, me, and Bernie. And then he kind of like got up and he's like, Oh, do you want the short version or the long version? And we kind of both looked at each other and we're like, we'll take the short version.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Uh anyway, so because that was the system, there there because it worked that way, because of it's just basically you just need to get to Vegas, do your thing, and get back.

SPEAKER_01

And Oh, look at this. Amy says, exactly right. I had to go to Vegas and my mom signed over that I could get married insane. Yeah, I don't think my mom had to sign off because she'd already Oops, sorry. Um she had already signed over Guardianship of me. So I don't remember that I don't think she had to sign off on mine, even though I was 17.

SPEAKER_00

I thought that's one of the things I had to get them to sign when I went to visit them was I had that they had to sign some part of the paperwork.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I don't remember specifically. That was a long time ago now, 33 years ago, I think is the number.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Here, let me answer this question too. Um would you ever consider pursuing a GED as a personal goal? I sucked at math as a kid, but when I studied for the C Best as an adult, I weirdly was able to learn math better as an adult for some reason. So I I got my GED two weeks before our oldest son graduated high school, and it was it's a something I always had as a personal goal. Yeah. Because I was working, even though I was never put back in school after we moved to the US, I always had that goal to get a GED and finally got it. So and shout out to our neighbor who's a math teacher. He spent an hour and a half with me to help me prepare for the math portion because there was a lot of math. That I'm, you know, I I always enjoyed math and I'm a bookkeeper. I love numbers and all that. But still, there was high school math that I just had never learned. So one Sunday he came over for an hour and a half and kind of helped me work through everything. And I was like, sweet. And he was like, yeah, we we covered like a year and a half of math just now. I'm like, wait, what? Two years.

SPEAKER_00

I think.

SPEAKER_01

In an hour and a half. So yeah, it was awesome.

SPEAKER_00

I think that I wanted to get a GED for like the first two months that we after we'd left the Sea Org.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Because every good paying job that I wanted to get, you had to have a high school diploma or you had to have a degree. And I was just like, oh, this is going to be so rough. But then I started fixing people's computers and I was making fifty bucks an hour and it was like, oh, I don't need a DPS. Yeah. And and you're a technical knowledge and well, because I had worked with audiovisual equipment and computers and all that stuff for basically fifteen years straight.

SPEAKER_01

So I was So if it would do anything for you for your job, you would do it.

SPEAKER_00

But there's really no Not anymore.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Your investment of time is important.

SPEAKER_00

I'm glad that one of us had a got a diploma. Okay? So between between the two of us, we share a brain.

SPEAKER_01

We actually do have the perfect partnership in in terms of balance of um business from a business standpoint, like you know uh accounting. I I handle all the accounting logistics and everything else, and you handle all the technical it's kind of it's Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good setup.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's fortunate how that all worked out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it is fortunate for me mostly.

SPEAKER_01

And for me.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, what else?

SPEAKER_01

Alrighty, let's see here. Um I'll put this one up because question. Do you support your kiddos going to trade school rather than college? So we have um, yes, absolutely. I mean, we've told our kids, hey, if you want to go to college, we're good with that. Um, but our kids are very technically oriented, yeah, like you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um and so yes, they'll likely do some trade school, but like they've already worked on they their work experience and resumes at this point with the projects. They've I mean, like our oldest son has already installed exhibits at the Smithsonian, for example. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We're we're pretty they they're the trade school that they got was from me, but then I also have them doing uh manufacturer training and uh we do an automation program extracting.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

They know they know a lot more than somebody that's coming out of any one trade school on the phone.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And we absolutely wanted and have insisted upon our kids having all of the opportunities we never had. Um so we years ago set up a college account for each of them. Um luckily these days that can be used for trade school, and also it just recently switched, at least for Colorado. So if your kids don't use it, it can roll over into a retirement account.

SPEAKER_00

So awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there you go.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I think we should do uh read some comments and then we'll do a giveaway.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Or do we do the giveaway, then read the the comments?

SPEAKER_01

Whatever you prefer, honey. I'm good. I'm just tired.

SPEAKER_00

Uh let's do the giveaway. Okay. Okay. We've only got 62 in entries. So this YouTube uh thing set says there's a hundred and fifty people in here right now that are live.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And um, so that means a a little over half of you, a little under half of you, have made a comment. Anyone who makes a comment gets entered in to win the giveaway. My phone is like turning like turning into a heater here. Going bonkers. Um so you can just say hi from where you're from. You can say uh uh thanks. You can do whatever you want in the comments. Well, to an extent. Don't get Clara and Catherine all riled up. They'll they'll jam a wrench in there. Um but um it's going up. It's almost 70. I was waiting to do it until we had a bit more people. Let's do this. We'll read some more comments. Okay. And then when I see that thing a little higher, then um we'll do this. So let's do a lot of things.

SPEAKER_01

Somebody just said we're frozen again. Are we?

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Are we? We it looks good on our end.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Hi from England. Hello, thanks for joining us. Hi from Sunland, California. Hey Angel Cat, good to see you. Jack Shaw, greetings from Henderson, Nevada, lesson 108 today. 88 in the Willamette Valley and climbing. There you go. Oh my gosh. Hi, all. Happy Sunday, Clara. Thank you. Hi from Lisbon, nice. Hello from Moorhead, Minnesota. Hi, Sherry. Hello from Momoravia, California. Jacob in the house. Um, howdy from Wyoming. Hi, Tracy. Good evening from Athens, Greece. Wow. That's amazing. Sweet. Greetings from Target 2. I think you should include the temperature there. Oh, on Fuddy Duddy. Otherwise, we have no way to verify you actually who you say you are.

SPEAKER_00

That's true. It's minus 300 Celsius here. Not the best pick as Target 2.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I I have Target 2 on my um weather app, and that's not what it says. Um, hi from Lisbon. Nice. Uh hi from British Columbia. Hi, Valerie.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, here's another one. Um, oh let's just start that one. Here we go.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Good evening from South Africa. Amazing. Thanks for being here. So, did you get the planet cleared while I've been gone? Oh, on

Vegas Weddings And Escaping Red Tape

SPEAKER_01

Fuddy Duddy. I know, right? Afraid we threw through in the towel. Hello from Denmark, Chubby Ninja. Uh Ter Terrae. Um, it makes me smile seeing Mike Grinder's face over Claire's shoulder. Oh yeah, let's see here. Yeah, there we go.

SPEAKER_00

On the other side.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, other side. Oh, yeah, right. On on the other from the other view. Hi from hot South Carolina. Oh yeah, I can't even imagine. Um, Anita, hi from the Netherlands. Awesome. Hi from Washington State. Nice. Okay. Uh, can you guys ask Scientology to create a hate website for me? Trevanon. Trevanon did a really great interview with on Mormon stories. Oh, nice. Yeah, I I was in the chat for that. It was great. Well, I'll add the link for anyone interested in hearing Trev's story. It was fascinating. Question How was Serge's birthday celebration? Oh, yes, amazing. Thank you so much for bringing that up.

SPEAKER_00

That's right. That is one of the things we were going to talk about.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, for sure. So we put up a GoFundMe. Um Serge's 50th birthday was on June 5th. And um his dream and his like Dr.

SPEAKER_00

Amusement Park.

SPEAKER_01

He wanted to do two days at Disneyland and stay overnight. Um so with the help of Rachel Hastings, who was in the Sea Org for many years, and uh Rachel's wife, Michelle Adair, who was was never in Scientology but is a board member for the Michael J. Render Aftermath Foundation. The three of us um talked about it on a live last week, I thought, or the week before, I can't remember. Um, and we put up a GoFundMe and we got amazing support. Um, so with that, we the trip happened on June 10th and the 11th. So Serge got to spend two full days at Disneyland. He called me the day he got back, and he was just super excited that he got to have that experience. We got some great photos. We had um an anonymous supporter um provided half of the tickets for free and a 20% discount on the other half. Another person that watched our the live that Michelle Rachel and I did uh turned out they worked for Disneyland. So they sent us a whole ton of um just like food vouchers and a hat for search and all kinds of stuff. So anyway, we will we will do a a a full share, but we got all kinds of photos and footage, and he just had a blast.

SPEAKER_00

Nice. Yeah, it seemed like from the pictures I saw it, it seemed like uh he had a pretty good time.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, he very definitely did.

SPEAKER_00

Very cool. Okay, oh Trevor, uh Trevenon says search Mormon Stories 2155.

SPEAKER_01

Nice, thank you, Trev. Uh hi from Auckland, New Zealand. Nice, hi Anna. Uh Trevanon, awesome. I will absolutely check out your Mormon Stories podcast. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Trevanon, enjoy enjoy. How wonderful for Serge. Happy belated birthday. Yes, absolutely. And and again, I'm just so grateful to everyone who donated to support the GoFundMe. Um, and yeah, it was Serge's 50th birthday wish come true. So it was awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Uh Mark, did you see the kids playing Depeche Mode on xylophones and music class? I think it was in Venezuela.

SPEAKER_00

I've seen so many videos of there's actually a group. I can't remember their name right now. Um but it's a it was two kids and his father and their father.

SPEAKER_01

Wasn't it a a girl and a boy?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

A girl and a boy and their father, and they would do covers with like uh, you know, non-standard instruments, scissors and water bottles, and but they did really good things. Uh covers of depeche mode songs that were really popular. And the dad was can't had like all these cameras and he he was he was some sort of AV geek the way they he set this all up. But um they actually ended up being in a Depeche Mode movie.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Which was kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And um yes, I've seen that. I've seen the one you're talking about separate. It's just a whole class that are playing. I think I want to say they're playing Enjoy the Silence or something like that. I can't remember what they were playing. But uh they're they're all playing it on xylophones. Oh nice. You know, like 20 kids all at the same time. That's pretty fun. Um okay. Oh, here we go.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Miss Marcabian missions. Missions can recruit for the Sea Org, but it's not super common from Catherine. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It used to be really there. Used to be recruitment missions full-time. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Going. The one that Anne was recruited for was for writers specifically.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Hello from Perth, Western Australia. Voice down under. Hello, hello.

SPEAKER_00

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

Greetings from Santa Monica. Nice. We used to hang out there all the time.

SPEAKER_00

We sure did.

SPEAKER_01

Hello from rainy Austin, Texas. Nice. I think we're supposed to get some rain this afternoon, if I'm not mistaken. I hope so. Hello from Mississippi. Hi, Jennifer.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, shout out to Mississippi. I hang out in Cleveland a lot. Cleveland, Mississippi.

SPEAKER_01

If you haven't heard of it, we hadn't either. But now we've now we have.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Hello from Lakewood, Colorado. Nice. Just up the street from us. Great Britain in the house. Hi, Neil. Nice.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, here's a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Question. Favorite vacation spot you've visited since leaving. Hmm. What's your answer to that?

SPEAKER_00

I think there's a there's a little uh town in the south of France called Le Roc.

SPEAKER_01

Gajac.

SPEAKER_00

Gajac. Le Rocajac. Um and we've been there, we've only been there once, right? But we stayed in a Airbnb that was basically on one of the cliffs of either side of the river. There's just two cliffs there, or two hill steep mountainsides.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And um and we stayed there for like four or five days.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And it was right on the river, the Dordonia River, right? Um in August. It was hotter than heck there. But because we were right on the river and like we would we would just walk down with the kids to go swimming in the river.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we would just go and go. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So many amazing memories. Our kids loved that trip too.

SPEAKER_00

But the other thing about this one place is it's not where American tourists go.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

So it's actually really where French vacationers go to this area.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

And um so when we were in the town, we were kind of like the one set of Americans that were there. Yep. And the people were actually pretty chill towards us. They were not we had there was I we did see every once in a while another English speaking family.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, meaning from England, not from America.

SPEAKER_00

We would hear them. But they weren't big fans of the uh of the English uh families. We c we definitely

Giveaway Time And Community Check In

SPEAKER_00

like really noticed that. Like it was kind of like, whoa. And then you go to and then we went to all these castles and they're like, and then in uh 1802, this person was beheaded, and uh and then the the the French took over. And then like two years later, the entire family was hung, and then the English took over. And you're like, you no wonder these guys aren't aren't so friendly with each other. They've been literally doing this for hundreds of years.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that was the only vacation we've ever taken where like it was so obvious that anytime we talked, like people would be turning around going, Whoa who are these people, you know. Um I don't know. That that part was a little unusual for me, but it was such a great little town, so much history. Um and my favorite day was the day that so we hired this English-speaking couple who who just took our our group of six, seven, it was seven of us, our family and another family. Um and they just took us around to all these amazing um historical sites, incl including Font de Gomes, which is like these ice age paintings in these caves way under like from like 15,000 years ago or something. And they only they uh this was before COVID, and they would only let in like 60 people a day to go visit those. So having those experiences were just really, really. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And of course we did go to you know, we didn't just go to Le Roc Gajac. We went to um we went to Paris. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Love Food Kitchen wants to note that it's in the middle of France, not the south of France.

SPEAKER_00

It was south from where we were.

SPEAKER_01

It was south of Paris, okay? Was it? Well, south and then inland. It it is like literally if uh if you're looking at a map and you point, it's it is dead in the center of France. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I thought we went down to it. So I think it was in the south.

SPEAKER_01

We did.

SPEAKER_00

Um where did we stay?

SPEAKER_01

We went to We flew into Paris. Yeah. Then we took the super fast train to Bordeaux. That's right. And then from Bordeaux, we rented a car and drove inland two, three hours. It was like really a lot of travel, very stressful logistics, because like, you know, getting from the air the airport to the train and like timing all of that, and then um and and getting back the other way. Remember, you were like, if our friends don't show up by this time, then I'm leaving without you. And I was like, wait, what? What? And then I then you were like, give me the passport. The kids started to get wet their eyes welled up with tears. They were like, Wait, mom. I'm like, I'm like, don't worry, boys, I've got this, I'll make it happen. And I was like, flagging down our friends, like, get your butts over here now, we gotta go.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Um awesome. Yeah, that I think that I like that one. I think that one is my favorite. I also really like so many places, it's hard to choose.

SPEAKER_01

I think one of my favorites too was uh visiting Santa Rosa Beach and the Destin area of Florida. That um was really nice. The the kids enjoyed it, and it's nice being close to the beach, though the beaches there were beautiful. It was like very, very nice. Anyway.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna do the giveaway.

SPEAKER_01

Doing it.

SPEAKER_00

It the time has come.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, here we go, guys. Remember, this is a a product that's made by the streaming platform that we use. We have no say on how this works or who it picks. Yeah. It does all the work. We have no influence over it. It's really just who commented. It just picks up. I like Trevanani.

SPEAKER_01

Pat Green.

SPEAKER_00

Pat Green, F3G4V.

SPEAKER_01

Send me an email, Claire at blownforgood.com, and send me your address, and damn it, Davey will be on his way to you.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Awesome. Okay, let's see if I can get back to the there we go. There we go.

SPEAKER_01

All right, we're going to go. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I figure we can answer a few more questions and then uh we'll get on again.

SPEAKER_01

We will skedaddle.

SPEAKER_00

I can't really see if anybody's starring anything new, so it's just like, there you go. Well done, Pat.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, well done, Pat. Congratulations.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. He's saying that because it's rigged against me. It's not. It's not. Okay, let's see what else we got here. Uh I saw a few more people uh saying where they were coming from, but now those are all gone. They're too many recently. Um they're chatting with each other. Oh, we got a super chat from uh Susan Trigg. Thank you. Oh, thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Appreciate it. Um thank you to everybody tuning in this fine Sunday. We figured Mark just got back, so before he has

Serge’s Disneyland Birthday And Big Gratitude

SPEAKER_01

to head out again, we would get him in here. I thought David Beckham was not a Scientologist. Tom Cruise was front and center when he received his star on the Walk of Fame on June twelfth. What are your thoughts?

SPEAKER_00

I think that he is not a Scientologist, but Tom Cruise would definitely still want him to be.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. He's still uh trying to manipulate that relationship to make that happen. But yeah.

SPEAKER_00

A lot of the a lot of how do I say this? There's a lot of people that are that work with Tom Cruise or they're in a movie with Tom Cruise or some sort of business relationship. It's beneficial to them to not talk shit about Tom Cruise.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Because they're gonna make money, they're gonna get paid, they're gonna be in a movie with him, they're gonna do this. So you're n I I don't think you're ever gonna really hear those guys publicly say this is a bunch of bullshit. But I happen to know a guy who's worked on Tom Cruise's movies, a very good friend of mine. And he has told me that when they're shooting one of those movies with Tom Cruise and he leaves, they talk shit about him. And they joke about him. And when he's not there, they they're like, Oh, where's you know, da da da and when he showed up to this one production, um it was uh God, I want to say what the movie was, Edge of Tomorrow. When he showed up when they were shooting there, um it was uh I don't think it was uh this is pre-COVID. But the crew had a trailer with bathrooms in it. Like it there's not bathrooms built into the studio necessarily. They have a trailer outside that has porta potties on it or whatever. And uh they had one of those that had one or two bathrooms for men and women. When Tom Cruise showed up, an entire semi showed up and that was just the bathroom for Tom Cruise. It was a semi, and it was just his bathroom. And the c the cast and crew are like, what the fuck, dude? Like it's kind of crazy that you have a semi that's bigger than everybody else's bathrooms put together. But that's sort of like the thing that's going on when he's there. He's a big shot, he's Tom Cruise, he's Mr. Risky Business, and they're not. So um but I do find it funny that they kind of poke fun at him when he's not when he's not there. But when they're in the the doing the media uh parade and doing interviews, and oh Tom's wonderful and Tom's this and Tom's. Sure, yeah, he is. He does all that too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But he's best friends with the buddy, his best friend in the entire world is a crazy dictator of a dangerous cult that he's also part of. Yep. So that's just craziness.

SPEAKER_03

It is.

SPEAKER_00

And they want to get rid of everybody's space cooties. And Tom Cruise's, if you look at all the movies he's been doing, he's just he's just cosplaying how Scientology is gonna get rid of aliens. That's what I keep telling everybody. You watch, he ain't gonna stop coming out with science fiction movies. It's gonna be a new one coming.

SPEAKER_01

He's brainstorming new ways to get rid of BTs.

SPEAKER_00

Not only are they trying to get rid of space cooties, he's also trying to figure out how to get to space where the space cooties are coming from. They're gonna nip the problem at the butt at the source, I think is

Tom Cruise Influence And The Cult Bubble

SPEAKER_00

what they're trying to do.

SPEAKER_03

Yep, yep.

SPEAKER_00

Um, okay, folks, I think we did it. We did it, we did it, we did it, we really, really did it. Um we are gonna, Claire's got another um video coming out, the part two with um Ann and um and she's got other stuff lined up. Um it's gonna be a little spotty with me at least, um, just because uh this is a busy time. A lot of the places that we work on are this is when they get built, this is when um there's not students at them because they're out of school and so that things can get worked on. So yeah, that's what that is.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so thank you for the patience of uh our audience. Uh we'll we'll fill in the holes as best as we can, and we'll keep keep on keeping on.

SPEAKER_00

Awesome. Okay. Please don't like you better perfect. Okay, I'm not sure what that means. Um anyway, thanks guys.

unknown

Thank you.
