I understand that happens , yes , like , but that's not something that I go out and seek . It just happens , bro . Yeah , you know , and sometimes if I , even if I go out and seek it , things don't go my way , and prime example prime example , when I did try to go out and seek it and it didn't go my way was when I fought like I was trying to just get the dude up out of there because I had like a whole knockout streak before then and everything like . Like he had the confidence to do so and I got it and I come in for that and I thank him for being able to accept the fight and you know us , you know , be able to share the ring together . Like , because , if not him , then what ? I was gonna keep going down that list and then reach the going down over to the top 20 of the guys of this sanctioned body . Like , come on , like then it'll really been a whole thing . Like , oh , she should fight guys in the top 20 . Like it's my choice , like it's me that's doing this . Speaker 2So he definitely came and fought , like that and that's like we , even when we previewed the fight , like we didn't really know much about him . I just looked up what I could there wasn't much , yeah , and from what I could find that it was just that he's tough , which every I swear every guy that comes from average is tough like that's .
Speaker 1That's what we know , that yeah , yeah , but I knew that he was kind of slick and he comes forward a lot , so it's like he got something in him , though he throws a lot of punches . You know what I'm saying ? Yeah , he throw a lot .
Speaker 3You know what I'm saying . But my whole thing was just to be defensively aware . I noticed that , yeah , I was looking at the copy box numbers and I was making him miss a lot . I ain't going to lie to you , like during the fight I'm just like in that flow state , you know , I'm like thinking about how many times I'm making a miss . But I watched the fight over , I'm like dang like I was making a miss a lot , you know what I mean . And then that slowed down his punch count and I think my power punch is like 40-something percent . You know , those are little things that I really don't think about when I'm in there . I just naturally , just you know it just naturally just comes to me Interesting , yeah , yeah . So that right . There is just you know another reason why I feel like I've been proving myself and showing like I'm ready for that championship level .
Speaker 2So , speaking on your style in that fight , I noticed you were a little more on the back foot . You were a little , when you say , defensively sound , I feel like and correct me if I'm wrong , which I might be but you're usually like in the pocket , defensive , if that makes sense . Like this fight . I noticed you were working on like distance a little more . Was that the plan going in ? Did that have anything to do with like the Navy SEAL training you ?

Speaker 3was definitely the plan . That was definitely the plan because the dude was strong and we also noticed that he didn't have good feet . So it was like , in order for him to catch up , like you got to use your feet . And then if you notice like he's throwing his right hand , he's putting his whole body into it , all that weight going into his front foot , and then he's like when he misses , he's falling into the rope . Boom , that's opportunity for us to counter . So , yeah , it was like that , it was definitely like that all day . And then , using my feints , I would faint to jab down to the body but bring it back up top . Boom , catch me with a clean jab . You know little things like that . Um , yeah , me fighting more at distance was , for sure , the uh , the game plan . And also for me to show .
Speaker 2I have the opportunity to show a year like y'all been seeing me fighting inside in the pocket and everything like that , but I could also use my feet in box as well and and again , that that also while I was watching the fight I was thinking I'm like , yeah , I mean he's showing a new wrinkle , he's going 12 , like that could be another reason you didn't get him out of there . So I almost threw my drink at the TV at Tim , and again , I wasn't trying to create beef , I just as fans , we're watching , we hear it and we're like I'm noticing a trend man , this guy .

I asked , I've asked them like personally , like the head guys , the top guys , like I guess my past two fights you know what I'm saying like , hey , where we're going , where we're going , even before my people , before my past two fights , you know what I'm saying . You know we could go back to ESPN , da-da-da-da . But as of right now , we don't know . You know what I'm saying . But at the end of the day , like genuinely concerned on it , because top rank , that company has been super relevant since the days of Muhammad Ali .

They just showed that they know how to adapt to situations . This is not the first time running out of a contract with a company and then finding a new platform this is something that they've been through before . This is not like a crisis that's going on , so I'm not too worried about where we're going to head next and I'm just going to be ready for whenever time I get back in the ring .
Speaker 1So how do that play out when it's your , your decision and choosing to like sign with them and stuff like Wait , let me say one more time , say it again so how do that , as a fighter , how that makes up the decision when to re-sign with them ?
Speaker 2If you like . They don't have a home or you don't like where they're going .

Speaker 3I mean , you know that's something that something that you know has to be brought up in discussion when it's time to , like you know , talk about negotiations and whatnot . You know , we got to just see if you know , uh , if my interest matches their interest moving forward , then you know , then everything should be cool . But if not , then you know certain pivots and changes have to be made . You know , that doesn't necessarily mean I would go to a different platform , but things would have to be brought up in discussion for sure . So that's just , that's just kind of the angle that would have to be taken for sure so offers were definitely sent right .

It was just like I was able to , you know , do like full workouts underwater without like having to , you know , get up and stuff like that . I'm just thinking about when I'm like , let's say , you're doing like , uh , you're bench pressing , for example , and when you're bench pressing you have to breathe . When you push up , all breathing , all breathing , yeah , it's all breathing , right , right . So now we're doing squat presses underwater , we're squatting and we're pushing , but I can't breathe , you can't push out , I'm like the first time I did , I'm like oh hell , no .
Speaker 3And mind you , we're doing that like 13 feet deep water . I was never swimming in no deep water bro .

I didn't know a lot , but I learned how to stay comfortable and calm in that environment and I just took it to where it was like , okay , there's something similar to in the ring , like , and how I fight in the pocket . Yeah , like all of this chaos is happening but me being able to stay calm in the pocket . I could be able to get the shots I want and get up out of there and just be like in , like in a flow state . Yep , I had to translate that into the swimming and then , you know , back into boxing . So it was like yo , like this was next level . I was able to be underwater and not have to , you know , breathe like for like two minutes underwater , maybe a little more than two minutes . It's crazy . Yeah , it's crazy . I gradually got there , but yeah , like yo , next level bro do they have ?

I think that , right , there is the biggest concern that I have for Crawford , because I think on the Majima fight , right and that's Crawford is when he goes southpaw , when he's creating distance and trying to maintain , he pauses .
