Designed to Thrive: Mind, Body, and Soul
Finding Peace in Who You Are Designed to Be
As women it is so difficult to not get caught up in the labels and expectations that culture puts on us on a regular basis. The labels are endless and the pressure can feel overwhelming. How do we break free from the pressure of comparing ourselves constantly to others that seemingly have it all figured out? Breaking free from comparison is constantly a struggle because we are inundated with social media, family, peers, Hollywood and cultural pressures coming at us from all sides. Women should have it all and be it all.
In this episode Austin shares her story of breaking free from the labels of what she felt she was “supposed to be” and “supposed to do” and allowing God to redirect her to what she was “designed to be” and “designed to do”. Austin shares the real part of feeling so overwhelmed with making the hard decisions to follow after what she felt compelled to do and what was best for her and her family versus what looked on paper to be the right thing to continue pursuing. Sometimes the right choices don’t always make sense when you’re making them.
Austin will encourage you to be brave and to continue to listen to God over culture. She is now in that place of seeing how when you allow God to direct your path, you don’t have to live under the labels and comparison. Instead you can trust knowing you are in his will and when you find yourself there, you can be assured that he will always be there with you. Living from a place of being loved and accepted not because of what you do or what you’ve achieved but because of who you are. A daughter of the Most High God who loves you unconditionally. A daughter who is Perfectly Loved.
