Opening and Shutdown Context

SPEAKER_00

Peace peace to all my good people out there. Welcome to another session with Shay. I'm Shay. And I know it's been a minute since I had a session because life was life in and um it's not now. So I got time today. I might have time tomorrow or uh in the following days, but you know what? We're here now. So let's have a chat. A little bit of backstory on today's date is um October 7th, 2025. And we are currently in day eight of the government shutdown. And um, some of you may or may not be aware, but the federal government has been shut down because they don't have enough money to operate. There are terms to say like appropriation bill and funding and laps and appropriations, all that good shit. But the point is they ain't got enough money to pay for the government to run, and they're supposed to get this done before the end of the physical year of the government, which is September 30th. And on October 1st, they ran out of money because they didn't allocate funds properly, and this happens quite often. Um, we generally have it every year, and um it usually gets worked itself out, you know. Somebody adds something to a bill and somebody else gets something taken away, but you know, collaboration happens and boom, the government got money. But this year, this particular year, no, the government shut down, and we are in an impasse because the party in power, the Republican Party, is in control of the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court, so they have all the chips, as it were, all the cards, and the Republican, the party in power right now, who controls everything, doesn't want to fund the government because the Democrats, those that are in the minority, they are in the minority in every branch of government at this point, they want to make the Affordable Care Act um subsidies, the um tax breaks for it, they want to make that permanent. And they said, if you put that in the bill, we will sign it and the government can open again. And the Republicans, the party in power, was just like, no, we're not adding that in because we don't want that for the people, and the audacity of you to think that you're gonna tell us to change that shit, fuck you. And we're gonna blame it on you. Because even though we control all this shit right now, we're gonna blame it on the Democrats, and we're gonna put it in all of the emails that we send to all the agencies, and we're gonna put it on all of the websites that are governmently run, even though we're not supposed to do that because it's a violation of the Hatch Act, which means that you're not supposed to do any kind of political pandering or political thing, you're not supposed to be for one side or the other on a government website because it's supposed to be bipartisan, it's supposed to be apolitical. Nobody's supposed to have extra sway, it's for the people, not for the parties individually, but they still did that anyway. So the Democratic Party said, Well, we'll sign it if you know you put these protections in, and the Republicans said no. So here we are at this impasse. Now, today, OMB, which is the Office of Management and Budget, basically is one of the policy heads in the government, um, revised a law on the books that said that every government worker gets uh their money back or gets repayment, gets back pay once the furlough ends. That has been made a law since 2019, which Trump signed when he was president. So now the OMB director removed the part that said all federal employees and said accepted service, meaning the people who are actually working right now who aren't getting paid, they are the only ones that will get paid money back. The ones that are at home who aren't getting paid, who are not accepted service, are not getting paid, so they said or not working, so they say you're not gonna get paid either. Even though the law says that's what's gonna happen or what should happen. Now, there's a difference between accepted service and competitive service when it comes to um government employees. Um broadly, you know, there's other categories that you know individual people find themselves in, but the core of it is accepted service and competitive. Now, normally, if there's a government shutdown, people that are essential are deemed accepted service. Okay, if you are an essential worker, you're somebody like TSA or um air traffic controllers or you know DEA agents, FBI agents, things of that nature. Something that would your job needs to keep functioning to preserve the safety and and the grid and all of that for the United States. So that's the difference. Now, with accepted service individuals, if there's a government shutdown, you have to come to work, but you do not get paid. That's just part of the job that you sign up for. Now, competitive service or non um essential, non-exempt people, if the government shuts down, when the government shuts down, as the government shuts down, these individuals will not um be working and they won't get paid. So, technically speaking, the competitive service people they have a better time, if you can have a better time during government shutdown. But here's the real rub in it, though. Earlier this year, hundreds of um positions were redesignated to show an accepted status, even though that job never was classified as accepted, meaning they purposefully changed people's statuses in order to make sure that they came to work if and when the government shut down. Now, granted, there might have been a real reason for this, but if it's more believable to think that they just did that in order to cause more pain and frustration on individuals during a government shutdown. Cause I'm gonna be real, a lot of people don't understand or feel the pain of a government shutdown if it's not if you're not affected by it, which I mean it is or it ain't. You understand um what it is only because you're aware of it, but unless you're actively in it and feel it and and living with it, you don't really dig it or you really understand it, which is fine, you know. We all live in our our own understanding of existence. But when I tell you that it is one of the most stressful things that you can encounter and something that you have no control over, you just want to live your life and get your check and go about your merry way, and then you have people who have no concern for your well-being, who don't give zero fucks about you or your family, but want to make you feel less than or make you feel like, oh, well, you're not good enough that we we need to pay you, but we really need you to come work here. But we know that your job isn't technically important enough or essential enough, so we're just gonna change the wording to make you accept it so you have to come to work and feel the shit of everybody else who comes to work and not get paid during this time. Not because it's important, not because it's essential, just because we want to fuck with you. That's what that is, and that's what they did when they changed a whole lot of people's position description. But you know, I can't speak for the specifics of what happened to, you know, individual stuff. All I say, all I'm saying is it seems pretty hinky to me that certain people's jobs were all of a sudden changed to something important when it's really not, even though they've said over several times over that they want to cause government workers pain and frustration and hope that they don't want to get up and come to work the next day. Like, what type of evil shit is that? Let's let's be honest. You have you're working for someone who gives zero fucks about you, your mental, your physical, your emotional well-being, and they don't want you there and they want to cause you pain. And you know, a lot of people say that, oh, you know, the law is there, and you know, the laws are the law, and you have to abide by the law. But right now, in this instance, this administration is not abiding by the laws, they're making shit up as they go, literally. They literally said, Um, yeah, we're gonna take that out of the law and say it's only accept the service, even though we know we can't do it, but what are you gonna do about it? Absolutely fucking nothing, and that's exactly what's happening. They're going to use that as a bargaining chip to make the Democrats feel bad that now, oh, now the certain federal employees aren't gonna get money, and they're gonna blame you. And this is where we're at in politics right now. They are literally playing with people's livelihoods, people's money, people's sanity, people's emotions, people's well-being. That's what they're messing with right now. And here's the coup de gras of all of this shit right now. There are whispers. Whispers, there are whispers everywhere in Congress, in the streets, in the news halls, everywhere, that the main reason the government is shut down right now isn't because of the health care bill. It isn't because the Republicans want to show face or say face and say, no, this is our shit. We're gonna do whatever we want to do and we're not gonna ask y'all shit. No, it's not about that. It's not about the fact that uh they want to appease Trump and Trump wants to do a certain thing a certain kind of way and say, no, this is not work we're gonna do. No. The whispers are saying that the reason why the government isn't open right now, because if the government was open, they would have to vote in a new member from Arizona who recently won their special election, a Democrat, and with that vote, with that person being voted in, the Democrats would have enough votes to force the Republicans and to force the DOJ to release all of the Epstein files unredacted to the American people. That's what the whispers are saying, you know, and it it I don't want to think that's where we're at with this Epstein shit, but I feel like if we're at where we're at with it, it makes sense. It it it fucking makes sense because number one, if the Democrats were actually going to stop being pussy about shit and do something that made sense, they would have done this in March when they had the first opportunity. But they said no, he can't be that bad, he's not gonna do anything, mind you. Trump came in in January, Doge came in in February, and we had the the hints of government shutdown in March. They knew then what they were capable of, capable of, and they just said, nah, we'll let it stay open to see exactly what he's gonna do. And then they saw it. And what did they do in between time? They let DC get taken over by Trump to say that he's eliminating crime. They also allowed all of these um these bombings of Venezuelans, they also allowed uh alligator Alcatraz to still be a thing. They also allowed funds to still fund wars overseas. They still allowed all of these this stuff, but that was what you know. Oh, we'll let the government stay open. So that's why I called the Democrats at this point pussy. Because if they haven't learned, they're not going to learn. And if this is what it takes for them to start seeing like this is where we at with it, I just really hope that they figure it out. Because yes, healthcare is important, it really is. But in the grand scheme of things, if they want to take that shit away, they're gonna take it away. So if you're gonna fight for some shit, fight for some shit. How about you say we're not signing shit until you give us detailed reports on exactly where that money went that Doge allegedly found? We need some reports about all this tariff money that we're allegedly getting in. Trillions of fucking dollars. We need some reports about all these bombings that are happening overseas to all of these um these ships. We need some reports. We need some real shit if we gonna be at home and not get paid, and maybe have a job and maybe not. Because this shit right now, it makes absolutely no sense to me that Congress continues to get paid to do absolutely fucking nothing. And we as a people, we just take that shit because we've always taken that shit. But then you say, Shay, what are we supposed to do? And I say, I don't fucking know anymore. I wish I did. I wish I knew exactly what to do and tell each and every one of you what to do, but I don't. Because my circumstances are different than yours, and vice versa. I don't know exactly what stresses are in everybody's home right now, or everybody's life, or in everybody's mental state. So, how can I say this is what you need to go do? I can't. I'm not even built that way, even if that was a thing. But what I can say is that we all have a breaking point, and we all have a time and place where we say, All right, this is enough of this bullshit. Time to go to the next step. And I hope each and every one of you have that step and it's ready and it's in your mind, and you got the plans for it, and you know exactly what it is and when it's time to go. Because there are people out here right now who are on that step. There are people here right now that are at that step and they're looking at it, and there are people at that step right now who is tomorrow is that day for them because all of this shit has been piling and been piling, and the dumbness has been growing and fucking growing, and the animosity between people is just building and fucking building, and now you have people who are in a certain frame of mind who know they're not gonna get paid, and there are certain people who aren't getting benefits because the people aren't getting paid, and you have individuals who have holidays and birthdays and celebrations that they are expected to fulfill. Okay, so and that was just that portion of the fuckery of the week. Troops from Texas, Texas National Guard arrived in Illinois this afternoon, outside of Chicago, as part of the Trump administration's push to crack down on crime in Democrat-led cities. I'm gonna read that again. Troops from the Texas National Guard arrived in Illinois this afternoon, outside Chicago, as part of the Trump administration's push to crack down on crime in Democrat-led cities. First and foremost, you have National Guard troops from an entirely different state coming to a state who didn't ask them to be there to crack down on crime specifically because it's a Democrat-legged city, not based on statistics, not based on a request, no, none of that. Based on the simple fact that a Democrat leads that city. Crazy shit, right? The article goes on to say Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome, meanwhile, is visiting Portland, Oregon, days after a judge blocked the administration from deploying federalized National Guard troops to the city. So, after the judge said, no, you can't deploy troops to this city. So she came to, I don't know, talk to the judge. Whatever, she came there to to pop a collar or flex a muscle. Hopefully, Portland holds steady with that because I'm hearing there is media blackouts in Portland. Like hashtag Portland doesn't work on some apps, TikTok and Instagram, from what I last heard. But if they're having blackouts because real shit is dropping and the media isn't covering it, it would make sense that she would be there in order to calm the masses or maybe see for herself exactly what troops need to come in. Because if they're gonna come in, they're gonna come in. In other news, attorney general Pam Bondi faced questions from senators about National Guard deployments and immigrant arrests in U.S. citizens in U.S. cities, the indictment of former FBI director James Comey and files related to Jeffrey Epstein, among other issues. Now, this is the attorney general of the United States getting questions from senators asking about the deployments. Generally speaking, the attorney general is the they're the lawyer for the government, if you didn't know. So having to answer questions from senators is is normal. It's basically judge, jury, lawyer, all that good stuff. Now, the issue is the way that she answered was very, I can't say because my job is more important than you as a senator type shit. And nobody's job is that important that you can't answer answer questions from the people. Because remember, we elect these senators to speak on our behalf. So if they're asking you questions, it's because we are asking these questions, and for you to say that you're more important than the team or the program, crazy work, but yet she still gets away with it. She's they all still get away with it. But anywho, she also pled the fifth on questions about Jeffrey Epstein. Nobody is gonna say anything about those files until they have to, and at this point, they don't have to, so nobody is gonna speak the words or say the things because the second that they do, they acknowledge. Let me tell you, I'm so over the fascination with people with those files, like I do not get it anymore. I understand bad shit happened, and I understand that bad shit happened because powerful people allowed the bad shit to happen. I already know this because I have understanding that there are power structures in this country that nobody's aware of, and for some sick, twisted, demented reason, these people in certain levels of power have a fascination with sick shit. And depending on who you ask and their mindset on things, it's for the power to invoke a type of energy in order to pull power, but that's a whole nother thing for a whole nother day. Back to the files, those files have exactly who you think is in them, and I'm guessing allegedly, all of that good shit, but hear what I'm saying. The files have everyone you expect to be there, and everything that they said that they probably did there, they probably did that shit, and even if they didn't, so the fuck what? Why hold it down so heavy? There has to be something else within those files, right? Those files have to be crazy work, like it's gotta be oodles of people in there for them to have this much protection for the fact that they want to shut the entire United States government down to prevent a vote for the fucking files to be released unredacted is crazy. I could only imagine who's in it and what they're doing. Hopefully, one day we'll get to see them, but I I don't know. And at this point, I care, but not really. Because what's contained in the files, I already know. There's sick, they're sick fucking people out here, and they're in high levels of government and they're in high levels of business, and they get away with the most horrendous shit. And even if those names are contained in the files, what the fuck is gonna happen now? If they are named, so what? They have the power to make people disappear, to make shit disappear, to make charges go away, to go to Club Fed, to say that, oh yeah, I might get arrested and go to jail for 20 years, but guess what? 20 years says one thing on a book. I'm still living at home on the government's time. Who's to say? These people have all the connections and the powers to the things, so I don't know. The simulation blows, this timeline blows. But I just wanted to give you good people that rant and I guess a drop on news. I don't know what that was, but I hope you all enjoyed it, and I will catch you on the next session with Shay. Peace.
