Dr Lathan is a co-author on the 2018 AAHA Small Animal Diabetes Mellitus Management Guidelines as well as the 2022 consensus statement on Agreeing Language in Veterinary Endocrinology (ALIVE): Diabetes mellitus in the Veterinary Journal, among numerous other studies and articles on thyroidal and adrenal disease. Dr. Lathan lectures nationally and internationally and is a past president of the Society for Comparative Endocrinology (SCE).
