Your voice carries everything you are—your truth, your emotions, your essence. And yet most of us have been taught to hold it back. To soften it. Make it more palatable. So we edit ourselves. We shape ourselves to fit. We start to hide the very part of us that makes us who we are.
And when we hide our voice, we don't just lose sound—we lose access to ourselves. Small moments of being told we're too much, too open, too deep accumulate in our bodies, literally shaping how we breathe, how our throat responds, how we show up in the world.
This is where the wisdom of the voice begins.
This season explores voice as more than sound. It's the intersection of body, emotion, and spirit—and it holds profound wisdom about who you are. Through six episodes, you'll discover how silencing your truth physiologically changes how you sound, how to build the three layers of safety your voice needs to open, and why your emotions automatically create the vocal technique you need. Host Chelsea Edwardson draws on years of study across multiple vocal traditions to reveal that finding your voice isn't some distant shore—it's about coming home to yourself.

Thank you for listening ♥️
For ten years, I kept my singing voice completely hidden. Like, completely. No one knew this huge part of my soul. The one that sang, wrote music, and had even performed internationally as a child.
ChelseaOften before making a sound, I'd check windows, listen for footsteps, make sure to turn the music up loud enough to drown myself out. And although I felt my expression desperate for release, sharing that part of myself felt dangerous, like exposing something tender and fragile to a bitter wind.
ChelseaMaybe you've felt this too. The fear that your voice is too much, too raw, too vulnerable to let out. Maybe you've learned to speak carefully, sing quietly, or stay silent altogether, because sharing your authenticity could backfire in ways you can't control.
ChelseaWhen we protect ourselves in this way, something essential gets lost. We're not just hiding our sound. We're hiding ourself.
ChelseaIn this series, I'm sharing the insights that moved me from hiding to trusting my voice. Through years of studying pop, RB, opera, North Indian singing, research and fieldwork with master vocalists in Bali, Indonesia.
ChelseaI'm here to show you how to transform the relationship you have with your voice into a beautiful homecoming, where you can finally meet that core part of yourself in sound.
ChelseaTogether, we'll uncover why the phrase finding your voice feels so challenging to define. How silencing your truth literally changes how you sound, and how to build the three layers of safety that allow your voice to truly open.
ChelseaI'll show you how your emotions automatically set up the vocal technique that you need in order to deliver power and authenticity, something I call the emotional physiology of the voice. And within that, how your voice holds the wisdom and truth you need to feel clear and connected to the essence of who you are.
ChelseaThis is the foundation, the roots of the voice.
ChelseaBy the end of these six episodes, you won't just understand voice differently, you'll understand yourself differently. You'll know how to create a sanctuary for your most vulnerable expression and easily recognize that wise part of yourself so that you can fully trust the voice that emerges from that truth.
ChelseaThis season isn't about technical facility, is not about perfection or performance, and it certainly isn't about rigid practice routines or rules. It's a journey where the voice is invited back into the body so that you can feel your soul reflected out into your sound.
ChelseaIf there's something inside you that feels ready to be released, if you're tired of performing, conforming, and holding back, and if you're ready to discover your voice as your greatest ally and your greatest compass, this season is for you.
ChelseaSix episodes, one transformation, the beginning of truly coming home. Because where you find your voice, you find yourself.
