Hey, it is another episode of Pastor to Pastor. Yeah, I've got myself and finally coming back with us this Wednesday. This recording this episode is Pastor Seth Odom. Good to see you, Pastor.
Speaker 2:Hey, you know I'm so busy man.
Speaker 1:He's a busy, busy man. I'm not as big of a deal as you are. Oh, here we go, but you know sometimes my schedule gets kind of whack gets.
Speaker 1:It gets a little out of line but it's good to have you back and, of course, this time we've got pastor michael eds again with us. Come on, pastor. We had an amazing conversation last time. We've gotten a lot of compliments, a lot of comments, a lot of review, um on that particular topic, on the topic of end time prophecy and tribulation, and last week we got right there into it where we were talking about the son of perdition being revealed, the great fallen away, and then the son of perdition being revealed.
Speaker 1:What's interesting is most of the comments well, not most, but a few of the comments I should say were actually you can't call the great fallen away COVID, or COVID is not the great fallen away. But listen, I always want to put it out there. Everyone has their own opinion and I will say this no one truly, fully, 100%, knows exactly what this looks like. We are taking what Scripture gives us and we are making great educated guesses, I would say calculations, in what's supposed to happen. So people have difference in opinions. Listen, if that's you, you don't feel it's right, hey, post it in the comments. Tell us why you don't feel that way. It's okay to be wrong.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you can be wrong, it's all right, the great falling away part of it could have been the COVID. They didn't come back. But let me tell you about the great falling away when churches in America say homosexuality is okay, murdering babies is okay. All of this evil.
Speaker 1:You are falling away from the Word of God.
Speaker 3:They are falling away, and when churches sit in the four walls of their church while their community goes to hell and they're not spreading the gospel right that is the great falling away that's right.
Speaker 1:I feel like we need to pass around an offering plate go ahead, start off strong.
Speaker 2:That's what I'm talking about yeah, yeah if.
Speaker 3:If the church was doing her job, america wouldn't be in the shape she's in. Right about that, right about that talking right, bishop?
Speaker 1:yeah but look, let's go ahead and dive into it. I don't know If you want, we'll sit back and amen you. Let you go ahead and preach this thing. Go get me shot, get him fired up. No, so listen. Yeah, we talked about that. We talked about the great fall away. We talked about the son of perdition being revealed. So what is next in that? We're talking about the seven-year tribulation. We talked about I won't say pre-tribulation, but what we talked about before the judgment started getting pulled out. So where are we now, within this timeline?
Speaker 3:The tribulation period is a seven-year period. First three and a half years, antichrist is going to fool the world with peace and prosperity, he said. He will destroy many in their prosperity. He's going to put money in their pocket. There's going to be peace everywhere. Destroy many in their prosperity. You're going to put money in their pocket. There's going to be peace everywhere. And it said, when they say peace and safety, sudden destruction comes. After three and a half years, he's going to suddenly go into Jerusalem. They will have rebuilt their temple and set up an image in the temple and his throne and this image will have the ability to speak and it'll be an image representing him and he'll command the world. This is the new world religion.
Speaker 3:You're going to bow down to my statue. I am God and I am king.
Speaker 1:Which is quite interesting because I know that even I think the pope and the greatest imam, the head of the Muslim community and another big religion in the world got together and we're talking about building one temple somewhere whether it's in Dubai or somewhere They've already built it, yeah where everybody can come together and worship. And it's just interesting that this whole one world religion thing, it just seems like it's coming closer and closer what people don't realize.
Speaker 3:This antichrist is actually satan incarnate in human flesh, just like jesus was god incarnate in human flesh. Satan has always wanted god's place right. Jesus is supposed to come back. As the Messiah set up his kingdom, rule out of Jerusalem. His throne will be there. Satan's trying to do it too.
Speaker 2:A little con artist. Eh, he's a con artist.
Speaker 3:You're absolutely right.
Speaker 1:Right. So where are we now in the timeline in terms of all of this? After the fallen away, the son of perdition be revealed. Where are we at now in that timeline?
Speaker 3:Okay, all of this after the fallen away, the son of perdition, be revealed. Where are we at now in that timeline? Okay, when he sets himself up, he's going to command the world to bow down to him. And I want to just stop for a second. I believe it's in Revelation 12, somewhere through there it said as a forewarning that this time is coming. There will be a star configuration in the heavens. Remember the word says god has given us the sun, the moon, stars as signs and seasons. Right before jesus was born, what appeared? A star. When he comes back, star. And so there will be a configuration in the heavens of planets or stars. And it has the appearance of a woman that's pregnant. She has a crown with 12 stars over her head, which is symbolic of the 12 tribes of Israel. She is Israel, she's ready to give birth and at her feet is a dragon ready to devour the child.
Speaker 1:Is that the Draco configuration, or or is that another? I'm not sure about that.
Speaker 3:Yeah but, um, anyway, I said, when this uh baby is born, the baby's caught up to be in heaven, to be with god, and then the woman is given the wings of a great eagle and she's taken into the wilderness because the dragon's out to kill her. Yeah, they said before what we're about to talk about happens. This star configuration would appear in the heavens. It just happened. Wow, that's how close we are. But what's going to happen? When he commands them to bow down to him? He is God.
Speaker 3:Take the mark and a right hand or forehead. It's a credit card, it's your citizenship, it's your loyalty, and the stupid people of the world will take it. They'll be deceived, they'll think he is God, except the Jews. They will revolt, say no, you are not Jehovah, and they will revolt. There will be people in the world that won't take the mark either. This image will be given to you to kill people, the people that don't take it. Many of them will be beheaded during this time. But when Israel revolts, the scripture we talked about was that he would destroy two-thirds of the Jewish nation and a third of them would be taken into protective exile. So she'll be given the wings of a great eagle. The word says if you're on the rooftop you better not come down. Run to the mountains because he will slaughter them. That's two million or seven? Wait a minute. Six million Jews will be wiped out and three million will be taken into protective exile.
Speaker 1:But I think it's easy to see, though, if you look at the world and how it's going, and if there were some wild, crazy cataclysmic event where some United Nations or some government was established to regain order and control and say, hey, here's peace, let's do this, you could see where, I think, the closer we get to it, you can kind of see how much more sense that makes that people would go along with it and would follow along with it. If someone stands up and says, hey, all these people are fighting and wars and things are going on, it's easy to see, I I think, how somebody rising to bring solution would say peace and prosperity and then, and then after they've, do you think that the the antichrist note will know that they're the antichrist or do you think that's something?
Speaker 3:they come to the revelation of or they're possessed of it may not know at first yeah but I think it will finally. He'll finally reveal satan in him.
Speaker 1:Yeah, well, that's funny. You talk about that, we talk about imitations, but I think of Judas, right? It says, when he dipped, the spirit entered him, like the devil entered him, and then he went and betrayed Jesus. So that's quite interesting.
Speaker 3:I believe Jesus. I think when the revelation came to him he was son of God. I'm sure, as a little child maybe he knew, maybe he didn't know, but I believe when he turned 12 years old and he went into the temple and he was preaching to the scribes and the Pharisees and the Jewish leaders, he knew who he was. I believe the two prophets of God that will oppose the Antichrist during this seven-year period are in the world too. They may not be aware who they are right now, but I believe it'll be revealed to them.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't know. That's an interesting thought to kind of bring to flesh, if you will, because I think, though— John the Baptist knew who he was when he was in the womb. Yeah, so I don't know, but that's an interesting conversation.
Speaker 3:A good idea on that. We are all born with a purpose.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:So I knew you before you were born and when you were being formed in your mother's womb. Psalms 139 says you're fearfully and wonderfully made. All the days of your life were written in a book before it came to be A life plan. Written in a book before it came to be a life plan. And I believe we're all getting to the stage in our lives that our final destinies are about to be revealed to us while we're here. So I believe all of us are in for a revelation.
Speaker 1:Okay, so he'll be set up. He will establish himself, and if you don't follow him and take his mark, you'll be murdered.
Speaker 3:Right, and this is what begins what is called the time of Jacob's trouble or the great tribulation. Jacob's trouble is when Israel is almost wiped out and the great tribulation 21 calamities are going to hit this earth. And the Word says if those days aren't shortened, that's only three and a half years, no one would survive. Two-thirds of the world's population will be wiped out. What is it? Eight billion now?
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's like eight billion.
Speaker 3:And that's six billion people. I guess that's a lot of dead bodies, but the first set of judgments that will occur the Antichrist is intermingled in that the the last 14. It's God directly. God's given permission in Revelation, chapter 6 it's a chapter 5 and chapter 6, or chapters 5 and 6, it talks about a scroll and people before the throne of God said who's worthy to take this scroll and open it? We need to know what's inside of it. It's prophetic. Couldn't find anybody worthy except one. It was a lamb that looked like he had been slain. Who's that Jesus had been slain, right? Who's that? Jesus? Jesus?
Speaker 1:And you know his name.
Speaker 3:I'm surprised he was found worthy and the thing that thrills me about it, that excited me. I believe it's in Revelation 6, 5 or 6. It said there's a great throng before the throne of God and they're singing, and it's you're worthy, right to open this scroll and listen to what they said and saying, for you have saved us from out of every tribe and nation, and you have been made. We have been made to be kings and priests and and we shall rule on the earth. Who is that? The?
Speaker 1:church.
Speaker 3:We are there at the beginning of the most horrible time in human history. We've been taken out. People say, oh, we're going to go through the Great Tribulation. Well, how did we get there? And then those seven scrolls, or seals of that scroll, are opened. The first one's opened and you've heard of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. There's a white horse, a red horse, a black horse and a white horse. The first one's white. He comes out and he's a king with a crown, a white horse, a weapon in his hand, and he goes out to make war, the Antichrist. Any nation or people that won't submit to him. He's going to wipe them out.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:And he'll wipe out 2 billion people and they can't stop him. He'll go out and this war will lead to famine. That's the black horse. Go out, and this war will lead to famine. That's the black horse. Look at this calamity and this hurricane that settled over Asheville. Asheville, they had no food, they had no infrastructure. It's going to happen.
Speaker 1:It'll be like that. He's not saying Asheville is the— no, no, no, it'll be like that. Right, it'll be like that, yeah, except it'll be far worse yeah.
Speaker 3:This war will be so bad, the infrastructure will be wiped out.
Speaker 1:So the first horse is going to bring death and destruction. The black horse, the famine, is going to bring death and destruction.
Speaker 3:And then the first one is white, the second one is red. That's war. That's war, worldwide war, where he is wiping them out. The third one is the black horse, which is famine, and people will die either from the war or from the famine. The pale horse is death, and so all of this is going to be combined together and he's going to slaughter 2 billion people through this. But then it brings up the fifth seal, which is interesting. But then it brings up the fifth seal, which is interesting. There will be people that will not submit to his one world religion, one world rule. The fifth seal, it says there will be a great slaughter of believers. There are going to be people that turn to God during that time.
Speaker 3:A lot of church folks are going to miss the rapture. Jason, he's coming for a church without spot or wrinkle and there are church folks shacking up together Smoking pot Drinking.
Speaker 1:Doing this, doing that, not being holy as he is holy, Not being holy.
Speaker 3:Going along with all of this sin. They're going gonna be left behind. They're gonna be the. There's 10 virgins.
Speaker 1:Five were taken in, five were left be knocking on the door let us in, let us in right, don't know you, five foolish, five wise. And so when?
Speaker 3:they turn to him. During that time, the antichrist slaughters them. And so that is the. What is it? The fifth seal and then the sixth seal is open. There's going to be a worldwide earthquake. Mountains will collapse, islands will sink beneath the sea. It'll be so massive that the great cities of the earth will collapse. It's never been an earthquake like that in human history, it said. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll, the moon will be turned to like blood and stars will fall from the heaven, it said. The great people, the kings, the rulers of the earth, even the poor folk, will hide themselves in the caves of the earth and say hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, for it's the time of his wrath.
Speaker 3:And then that issues in the last 14 judgments, when God raises his fist of judgment, the world has never seen that it is so bad that they said. The word says, if those days weren't shortened, no one would survive. For the elect's sake, he was shortening it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, what's interesting when you talk about hide us from his face for the wrath side of it? It's interesting because I was just preaching this past Sunday on the face of God and him showing Moses his goodness. And then further on in Scripture, New Testament, it talks about he showed us his goodness that we may repent and we may draw closer to him. And so now that we're past all of this, I just thought about it, because he talks about not only when he shows his goodness. He says but I will visit iniquity. Like I will not, by any means, I will not pardon the guilty, Like sin will be accounted for. And so now he's went from showing his face in goodness to now people wanting to hide from his face and his wrath. Are you saying he's two-faced? I believe it that god is gonna, it's good in his mercy and grace and that he's gonna pour out his wrath. I see what you did there. What?
Speaker 3:we're seeing is the full face of God the full face.
Speaker 2:There you go, that's right.
Speaker 3:The full face of God. God is merciful.
Speaker 1:He's been merciful for 6,000 years.
Speaker 2:Yes, yeah.
Speaker 3:The thing that's interesting to me is God has been showing his love and mercy 2,000 years the church age it's been the mercy and salvation, and grace of God and people have mistaken his grace for him being permissive.
Speaker 2:That it's okay for me to do this.
Speaker 3:God hasn't done anything to me yet right well, they're badly fooled, right. Uh, just like you were a police officer one time, you helped people, you were merciful to people, but when they broke the law and you had to enforce the law, you cuffed him and took him to jail yeah, which makes sense, and then they would be upset with me for holding them accountable, just like, in the end, time says they'll shake their fist at god, um, when he starts, instead of repenting.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they'll. They'll be mad at god yeah, and and they'll.
Speaker 3:They'll cut every the last 14 judgments. You would think they would repent, wouldn't you? You would think they shake their fists and curse him wow that's how wicked the world's going to be at that time. I want to tell you, when the church is gone, it's going to be hell on earth. Satan will be cast down out of the heavens with his fallen angels and said he will go about the earth and he's full of anger because he knows his days are short. You think it's bad now? Wait till then. That's wild.
Speaker 3:It'll be hell on earth.
Speaker 1:So we did six seals already.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and then the seventh seal is interesting. You've watched horror movies and they'll get real quiet for something.
Speaker 2:No, I'm too safe. I don't watch no horror movies. I'm too safe for that. When I was a kid, before I got saved- my brother would take me to these.
Speaker 3:We had these theaters, you know we'd go in, oh now it's your brother's fault.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I blame him, that's right, my big brother he forced me to go.
Speaker 3:And they had this vampire movie. I don't like vampire movies. I was scared senseless. But right before he began to do something, he got quiet. So when the seventh seal is open, 30 minutes of dead silence After all of these kind of eclipsic things silence. And then you look up and out of the throne room of God comes seven angels with trumpets and they're about to sound the trumpet. This is when God lays it on the earth and we can talk about that. Next week it's going to hit this earth.
Speaker 3:It won't be Satan doing it. It won't be the Antichrist doing it. God says it's the time of the wrath of God. He's going to pour it out. Let me tell you about the wrath of God. Once his wrath is started, it doesn't stop until it's finished. What do?
Speaker 2:you think? Pastor Seth, I got a question. It may be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Pastor Ed, you have a lot more wisdom than I do on this. Okay, I appreciate your confidence. So, when it comes to the mark of the beast right at the end of christ is do you think that there is a moment that it could be reversed? Is there a time in that someone can change their mind in that moment, or is it done is done?
Speaker 3:once they take that, they have taken the mark of satan. Okay, they cannot undo it. They have damned their souls to hell. There's no repentance yeah you know, there's like the only no one's sin that's unforgivable is blasphemy against the holy spirit.
Speaker 1:Right well, this, I guess, is a form of blasphemy against the holy spirit yeah when this, I guess, is a form of blasphemy against the holy spirit yeah when they take that seal, they're believing that he is god well, what's interesting is isn't right now the restraining power of the holy spirit holding the enemy back, yeah, evil back. But it says at some point doesn't. And I'm trying to, I'm trying to remember it, it's been a while since I said this, but it isn't. Isn't there some point?
Speaker 3:when he's removed, says he that a while since I studied this. But isn't there some point? When he's removed, it says he who restrains is taken out of the earth. He will no longer be restraining. The church will be gone.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 3:He's in the church. We are the body of Christ. He's in us as Christ, in you, the hope of glory. When we're taken out and he withdraws, he won't withdraw his influence but his restraining power, because he will be talking to people during the tribulation to get saved. But his restraining power will be gone and Satan will be cast out of the heavenlies. You know, satan's been up there all this time trash-talking about us to God. He's going to kick him out and when he does, he's going to be cast to the earth. He's going to be full of fury and anger because he knows his days are short.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm going to tell you, this episode makes me want to repent. Make sure I'm living right, that's right.
Speaker 3:Every night I go to bed, I pray one prayer. I say God, if there's anything in me that's not of you, take it out.
Speaker 3:Right, and you know I was watching this war in the Middle East talking about the fiery darts of the devil. The devil will shoot. Just like those Hamas and Hezbollah, they shoot those fiery missiles at Israel. Well, he shoots missiles at us and their thoughts to hit us, to get us to buy into his lies and to do wrong. Israel has an iron dome. We have a shield of faith. It's like an iron dome. We can shoot the word of God up and knock those things down that come against us to get us to get messed up, and that did me some good. He's us to get messed up.
Speaker 3:yeah, and I did me some good he's ready to take his head and set off and run one interesting thing during this time, that's three and a half years years you know all these things that are taking place. Israel is protected, but during this time she will be wondering, dear God, what's happened? What's happened? She will begin to search the scriptures and the Spirit of God will come down upon her. Many of the people that have gotten saved, that are Gentiles, since all of Jacob, will flee to this protected place called Basra. And I thought, well, where are they going to get scriptures? A place called Basra? And I thought, well, where are they going to get scriptures? One interesting thing an evangelist in the caves of Petra, which is in the Basra area, put the Old Testament and New Testament there in protective covers and he underlined in all the Old Testament prophecies, the prophecies about the Messiah and in the New Testament, where they were fulfilled. So they began to search and revival breaks out. She is saved in one day.
Speaker 2:Wow.
Speaker 3:And said she will weep as though she's weeping for her only child. My God, we killed our Messiah, and when she is saved, that's going to trigger something in heaven. The doors of heaven begin to open, and we'll talk about that later. Jesus will start coming back.
Speaker 1:Amen. We talked about the seven seals today. I think next week we'll talk about the seven trumpets and the seven bowls. It's about to get worse than what we've already heard. That's pretty wild.
Speaker 3:And after those last 14 judgments, then the return of Christ comes back. And there's one interesting thing and you may get some feedback on that there are three parts to the return of Jesus which we'll bring out, and it's all Scripture. Everything I share with you is what is in the Word. That's right. And it's exciting yeah.
