In the aftermath of a traumatic event, our instincts often propel us towards a place of safety where we can control our surroundings. We become hypervigilant, constantly scanning the environment around us to ensure our safety and that we'll never let that darkness envelop us again.
It's a journey many of us take on at different stages of life, triggered by varied circumstances. I too emerged from that cocoon of fear, living a life dictated by the need for control, until life presented me with new challenges, urging me to confront the question: What are you afraid of?
