[00:00:00] James Breese: Strength matters, media, video, print, podcasts.
[00:00:05] Josh Kennedy: Today's topic is a secret hack to rank higher on Google, and this is something that you've discovered very recently, James, but one of our, a couple of our clients have already put this into practice and they've shot up the ranking, haven't they?
[00:00:16] James Breese: Absolutely.
[00:00:17] Something very, very quickly. So the hack is, let's go straight into it. Is. Yes, we all know Google reviews are important to rank higher and get your business to rank higher on the interwebs. But, what you do with those reviews is also just as important because it's very easy to almost fake Google reviews sometimes.
[00:00:34] So, I'm assuming this is why Google has done this, is that now, They seem to be pushing businesses higher who have reviews with photos. So we've tested that with a few of our clients already. So Frizzo, cracking job with all, you know, implementing this straight away. So he was, he's someone we've just started working with in terms of his website and his business to get him hired, to get found on Google.
[00:00:59] [00:01:00] And we asked him to do it. He's gone out and done it and he's gone from 64 in the Mac pack to 19 in less than 48 hours, which is a huge difference when he's in a competitive area of personal trainers and his thing. And he's got a couple more images here, which shot him up even more. So what we're seeing is this, when you're asking somebody to review your business on Google, don't just ask them to review the business.
[00:01:21] Ask them to upload a photo. Now, specifically what Frizzo's done, he's got them with a photo of him. So they can see they're with him at his facility training with him at the same time. Now, why is this? There's lots of reasons why we can say this and why it's happening as such. But the main thing is it goes back to Google and user experience.
[00:01:44] Google wants to find businesses and promote businesses that are authentic, are trustworthy, reliable, and provide the best service. Therefore, when it comes to reviews, if you're posting photos with those reviews, it becomes more authentic, more genuine, and more trustworthy. It comes back to [00:02:00] Google, the Google Eat principle.
[00:02:02] Expertise, experience, authority, and trust. And that's what they want to do to help you rank higher on Google. So very simply. asking clients to review 100%, but get them to post a photo with you or your facility or your studio alongside it to help you around. And that's our little hack for today. Cool.
[00:02:22] Josh Kennedy: Andrew, uh, any, any thoughts on this?
[00:02:24] Andrew Wallis: Yeah, I find it interesting, uh, but I'm just thinking it through as James was talking there. And I guess firstly, this is a perfect example of what they call, and what I think they call it, user generated content. So it gives that authenticity as, as James says, and I was thinking back to, um, a few weeks ago, I got pinged by Google to say that, uh, a photo that I'd posted in, uh, outside a coffee shop in, um, uh, in, in Canada, when we were away in a ski, uh, resort, uh, a little while back that, [00:03:00] that photo has now been seen by, I think it was something like over a quarter of a million people at which I thought, wow, I'm famous.
[00:03:09] But I guess that just goes to show that this is what the, they're bringing in, um, and rewarding you for that, for that type of piece, uh, because of that authenticity. So, um, it seems a great hack, uh, for us to all consider and to implement.
[00:03:24] James Breese: Exactly. That's a good point. Actually, I forgot about that because I've done loads of reviews for other businesses.
[00:03:28] And every now and then the Google review team send you a message saying, Hey, your, your review was really helpful for how many people? Not quite a quarter of a million, but it was, uh, but you know, I get it all time. Cause when my mates runs a bakery shop here in Cardiff and I reviewed that, and it's like a thousand people have found that useful.
[00:03:44] I was like, wow, how'd that know? So obviously it's something similar. So again, something so simple, so easy to implement if you've got Google business profile, Google business set up, go and do it guys. Like it's all about ranking up the charts, getting higher on [00:04:00] Google to get more traffic, to get you more clients, to get you more patients, and it's something that doesn't going to cost you that much money.
[00:04:06] James,
[00:04:06] Josh Kennedy: you need to go back to the bakery, buy something, and post a picture of yourself eating whatever, whatever your, uh, bakery of cake of choice is.
[00:04:16] James Breese: I thought you were going to say go to the bakery and post you guys, like, something from the bakery. Well, you could do, you
[00:04:21] Josh Kennedy: could do that as well. There we go, guys.
[00:04:25] So that's our secret little hack, um, try and implement it. If you want more help getting clients or patients, then of course you can book in for a free 15 minutes strategy call with us, uh, by going to strengthmanners. com forward slash strategy.
