Summer of Psalms: Psalm 126

This Psalm celebrates the Israelites’ return home from exile, while asking God to bring full restoration to their homeland. As Christians, we celebrate our home in Christ, but we also ask God to restore this broken land to which we’ve been sent as exiles. However, the answer to that prayer is that God often uses our toil and tears as seeds. The harvest comes when we go toward the brokenness and then come home with shouts of joy.
