I didn't really want to throw you out of the building. Here's the funny story about that Vincent, how do you want to leave? I said I'll have Gino throw me out. He said okay. I said I'll have him. What does the production mean? There's 50 people in the room. I said I'll have my bag and I'll have him go through it. I'll have towels and light bulbs and ashtrays. Phone says why don't you have a bra and panties from this? I said well, Pat, I think when we traveled, you and I packed differently. So everybody laughed and said fine, do it that way.
Speaker 1:So Gino took me, came down the ring and said his real name is Robert Morello. When we started wrestling he used to say he was a singer in Toronto, Gino Morello. So he started wrestling, he used to study, he was a singer in Toronto, Gino Morello. Oh, okay. So he would sing and he just kept on and they'd call him Gron. I don't know how people call him Gino, but it was almost like they'd slip up and they'd call him Gino. Yeah, On the air, yeah. But everybody just called him Gino and he was one of my best friends in life. He is dearly missed by my family. I love that man. So he threw me out the building.
Speaker 1:I gave it the farewell, I walked around the bus and he was waiting in the car and I drove to LaGuardia to the Halloween, Got in the elevator in my third room he was on one floor. I was on the same floor. I told him listen, nine years together. And I said, well, this is nine units together. And I said, well, good luck, partner. I shook his hand, he went his way, I went mine. I got to the room. There was a big basket of fruit in there bananas. I called him. I said I got some bananas. You want them, Ethan? Yeah, I came out in the hall. I gave him the bananas and I said how'd you find him? Excuse me. And then I visit him and we talk on the phone every week, but, I excuse me, I miss him.
Speaker 1:We were doing On USA On prime time. That was the number one rated show On USA at that time. Of course it doesn't have the homes they do now, but for that time we were doing six and sevens. So you were doing the prime time. Yeah, we had to sit there, though, For three hours Watching. Yeah, in Baltimore, the wraparound. We had to sit there for three hours and watch him All the way. Yeah, in Baltimore it was good, because you don't want to do it that way, because in case something happened in a match, then we could talk about it. If he just said we're going to go to this right now and we turn around and just come out of it and we didn't watch the match, maybe
