The Greg Heaney Music Podcast Show
My name is Greg Heaney, and I am a musician. On this podcast I host conversations surrounding music, neurodivergence, careers in the arts, the creative process, education, therapy, and much more. I believe music to be the universal language, and we could all use more music in our lives in order to heal and move forward.
The Greg Heaney Music Podcast Show is a place to discuss music, neurodivergence, and how they intersect!

Episode 9: AJ Surrell
I got to interview Miss Missouri Volunteer!!
This is a lovely conversation with my friend and colleague AJ Surrell. AJ is quite a remarkable young woman ... apart from just recently being crowned Miss Missouri Volunteer, she is the social media coordinator at Lindenwood University, she brings joy to children throughout the region by dressing up in costume as Elsa and other Disney princesses, she heads up a sensory-friendly task force with Different Dynamics, and she advocates for the mental health well-being of young people.
We talk adolescent mental health (especially as it is affected by social media usage), self-recovery from trauma, work ethic, how and why to develop your own brand as a young creative, and more.
She's an inspiration and this is a wonderful episode where I get to know my friend much better. Please enjoy!
