The Greg Heaney Music Podcast Show
My name is Greg Heaney, and I am a musician. On this podcast I host conversations surrounding music, neurodivergence, careers in the arts, the creative process, education, therapy, and much more. I believe music to be the universal language, and we could all use more music in our lives in order to heal and move forward.
The Greg Heaney Music Podcast Show is a place to discuss music, neurodivergence, and how they intersect!
The Greg Heaney Music Podcast Show
Episode 11: Erin Bode
SEASON FINALE!!
On this very special episode of The Greg Heaney Music Podcast Show I am joined by the incomparable Erin Bode. On a whim I decided to start doing a live version of the show at a local music venue / listening room, and Erin was my first (and best) choice to have as a guest. Erin has a BEAUTIFUL voice and is a wildly accomplished singer-songwriter / recording artist.
Erin Bode, although originally from Minnesota, has been adopted by the St. Louis music community, ever since she was a student at Webster University. We are so lucky to have her talent around town very frequently, although she currently resides in East Nashville, TN. This episode was so fun to produce.
On the show we discuss her musical development, we play a couple of tunes ("In My Life" by The Beatles and "Ring Them Bells" by Bob Dylan), the process of songwriting, how music helps and heals people, and especially her most recent project: YourSong. YourSong is a collaboration between her listeners and herself in which she curates personalized compositions for any occasion or inspiration. These songs are given as gifts, kept as keepsakes and have become some of the most rewarding experiences of Erin’s life and career. A collection of some of these first projects and the stories behind them can be heard on Erin’s new album, YourSong, Volume 1.
We really hope you enjoy the musical conversation ... and thanks everyone that has come on this journey with the show so far, it's been a BLAST. Stay tuned for Season 2!!!
