But thanks for letting me get that bit of business out of the way. So today we are looking at some news that came out this week involving a new rule with Disney transportation. And this is mainly the the Disney buses and boats at Disney Springs. Now I've seen a lot of people come out with this rule, kind of attempting to explain it. And I've also seen some clickbait things through social media. And it's not. So before you see some of the crazy things out there, make sure you take a little time to possibly do some research search. But free Disney transportation is not going away. Especially if you are staying on Disney property. Okay, so let's get that nonsense out of the way. So you're having to stand for 10-15 minutes to get to your resort. I still like Disney transportation. I love knowing that when I get to my resort on check-in day, I can park my vehicle and not get back in it until the day that I leave. So go ahead and know that this new rule only affects people coming to Disney Springs, then trying to use Disney transportation to get to other resorts. So let's look at this new rule, okay? Starting June the 28th, alright, it's really going to roll out around June the 28th in preparation for the busy July 4th time. Non-resort guests will not be allowed to board Disney Transportation at Disney Springs. Okay. To ride, guests must present an active hotel reservation, dining reservation, or experience booking via a magic band or the My Disney Experience app. Okay. Excuse me. Um so let's kind of break this down of what this looks like, who this who this affects, um, and and why they've kind of implemented um this new rule. And again, it's not for everyone. This is really just for Disney Springs, okay? Um, so Disney Springs access policies. Um buses will have security cues, and I think they've already kind of some people have already kind of shown that some of those are already popping up, um, that they'll have security cues and magic band um slash app scanners will be installed or are being installed at the Disney Springs Bus Depot. And let me go ahead and say they did do this back at um some people said New Year's, but I I know I saw it for spring break that they um implemented these rules for spring break. Um yeah, the spring break season since you know parks are so packed. Um, but they're now looking to completely implement this and they're gonna keep it in place even after the 4th of July busy season. Um all right, so that's that's for the buses. And then for boats, the Saskaga uh Sassagoula River Cruise, um, which is the boats that take you to Port Orleans resorts, uh Old Key West and Saratoga Springs, uh, will require an active room key, dining reservations, or um some sort of recreation bookings at those resorts. Now I'm not quite sure if it you know about getting transportation to the parks um from Disney Springs. I'm trying to remember if I yeah, I if the buses go from Disney Springs to the parks. I'm pretty sure that they do. Um anyway, this is really just for people doing um resort hopping, okay? The new verification checkpoints um help to eliminate a long-standing quote-unquote free parking hack where off-site visitors would park for free at Disney Springs and then use the resort transportation to access the parks without paying um the theme park parking fee. Um I know part of this has kind of been implemented at the resorts. Like I I if I leave today and I don't have a reservation at a resort, I just can't pull up to um Pop Century or uh the contemporary and just say, hey, I'm you know, I I don't have a reservation. I'm just here to, you know, they're they're really not gonna let you in. If you pull up to the resort, you actually have to have a reservation at that resort, or they won't let you in. This is kind of continuing uh expanding that for security purposes. It's it's stopping a lot of people that park at Disney Springs and just you know make the resorts a little busier um than they probably should be. So hopefully this will cut down some on um people doing resort hopping unless you actually have a reservation to um a resort. Um anyway, so this pretty much just impacts uh this this restricts resort hopping for sightseeing um unless you have a specific booking at um at a destination resort. So I don't quite at the moment have clarification if that means um if I have a reservation for say when we go in December, um I have a reservation at Art of Animation. Um if I can go to Disney Springs and then hop on a bus uh to go to a different resort from Disney Springs, um I'm pretty sure as long as you have I'm I I I think I've seen this week, and I'm I want to make sure I get get this as right as possible and not give false information, but I'm pretty sure I believe I saw this week that as long as you have a resort reservation um or a dining reservation at a specific resort, because some resorts do have sit-down restaurants, or even possibly some sort of activity booking, um that's you that's the only way you're gonna get to those resorts. And I'm pretty sure, like say when we go in December, I I can I can go to Disney Springs from Artem Animation, but then still go to another resort from there. So you can still park hop, but you just can't show up to Disney Springs, park in their parking decks, and then take um the buses or the boats to a Disney resort without actually having a resort reservation. Um, I I haven't seen a lot of mixed feelings, hardly any mixed feelings on this from the most part. I I believe people are pretty positive about this, and um this will help, especially during those busy seasons um of just getting sightseers, so to speak. I mean, because let's face it, I mean Disney cost enough as it is, and if I'm having to pay, and part of part of my money is going towards that free um, you know, that complementary um transportation. Um if I'm paying to go, then it, you know, it's not quite right for someone to be able to just park at Disney Springs for free and then just hop on a bus or a boat and go out to a resort or or a park or something like that. So yes, it is about money because this is taking away from you know people that want to go to a park that will actually have to go uh that don't have a a resort reservation, will actually have to go to uh the park and pay to park in uh at the park. Um so this will kind of help a little bit with that. So it is, you know, it is a little bit about money, but at the same time, it it should help um with some of the crowdedness, so to speak, um, of I don't want to say unnecessary people, um, but for you know, for those who are just trying to to do a little free sightsing. Um but I if I'm not mistaken, I did see if for those who are annual pass holders, um this kind of goes towards them as well. As long as you have, you know, a date in mind. Um I I don't think I I think if you're an annual pass holder, I think you can show that you're an annual pass holder uh and you can get to the parks, if I'm not mistaken. Don't quote me on that. Um, but I believe that's that's true on that. So it's it's just a new rule. It's not a ton of rules, but I wanted to kind of talk about this a little bit this week because it is it is a new plan that's coming into place. Um I know when Disney rolled out the you just can't pull up to a resort and just park, uh, the security will not let you in unless you have a reservation at that resort or at least a dining reservation at that resort, um, which you have to be able to show through your My Disney Experience app or your Magic Band. Um so I I do know that that that kind of deterred some people um from that, and hopefully this will kind of expand on that. So there you go. A new rule for transportation this week. Um excited about seeing that. So that'll be that'll be that'll be pretty good. Hopefully that'll kind of calm down some of the craziness um from Disney Springs to to all um other parts on property. Not a lot in today's episode, guys. It's been a little bit of a crazy week at work. Um next week's gonna be a little bit um slower, so I'll do a little bit better for you guys next week. Uh, but I did want to bring out a show this week just you know to make sure that there's at least a show um every week for you guys to be able to listen to, bringing a bit of information. Hey, uh I do want to say thank you so much for for tuning in. Last week's episode on um more magic, less money, uh hit uh the largest amount of viewers and people downloading the podcast that we've had for a long time. Um so thank you, thank you, thank you for that. Um that got me really, really excited. So there you go. I'm not gonna tell you the number because some of you may think, oh, that's kind of funny, or that's not a lot, but you know, to me it is, and we're growing, so I'm excited about that. So, real quick before we call it a night, um, I do want to say that we're gonna take a few uh a few weeks break from Walt Disney World. Um, we have been covering things at Walt Disney World for the last 10 episodes, I think, 10 or 11 episodes. Um so we're gonna we're gonna divert for a few weeks and we're gonna turn our attention to Disney Cruise Line. Because I say it in the slogan, guys, this is your fast pass to all things Disney, not just Disney World. Um, so we'll take a couple of weeks and we'll talk about some things with Disney Cruise Line, which I'm excited about as well. So I hope you will continue to tune in. Hey, before we call it a night, um, if you're interested in sponsoring a show or two, uh email me, Jeremy O at Mickey WorldTravel.com, and we can talk about what that will look like for you and for us. Um again, if you're interested in booking a Disney destination vacation, whether that's Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, uh Disneyland, Adventures by Disney, or Aulani, um contact me through email or Facebook. I'll have that in the show notes. I would love to help you uh book and plan that trip for you and your family. Family, family, to help you make those magical memories. Um again, another ways you can help with uh growing the show is um download uh the podcast through Apple Podcasts, leave a um oh my goodness, what is it called? Uh a review, share the show with your friends and your family, um, and help us to continue to grow as we go on this journey. Um and again, I didn't have a lot of uh I had some people like uh my post through Facebook. Um so hopefully I'll get a little bit more. But if there's a topic you're interested in listening to in a future episode, um please let me know. Message me through Facebook, email me, um, send fan mail through the podcast letting me know, and we'll we'll see we if we can make that happen or not, guys. Uh but that's it for me for tonight. Um last week's show went a little bit longer, so this week's show is going to be a little bit shorter, just the new rule on Disney transportation. But that's it for me, guys. Again, thank you so much for tuning in. I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your Friday and a magical rest of your weekend. And hey, dads, happy Father's Day to you this Sunday. We'll see you later. Bye-bye.
