SPEAKER_01I'm Zach.
SPEAKER_02I had a witty response ready, but it all got it all went right out the window.
SPEAKER_01So I am Zach.
SPEAKER_02Zach said, I'm not gonna let you do uh do a low-key burn on me before we get into this.
SPEAKER_01Uh looks like I'm done reading what's on here.
SPEAKER_02This is all from last week. No, it's not. We're new. Um so we are back in the collaborarium. We're gonna be going over our meeting that we just went over with uh Media Twist. Yep. Learned a bunch of new stuff, and then kind of going over the World Cup because that's what's in the news. Yes. Perfect. All right, cool. So we met with uh Chris and Amy Kurtz today um regarding Media Twists. We did a little bit of geofencing, we did a little bit of funneling, um, it talked about how we can integrate our marketing plan in a more successful way.
SPEAKER_01Yep. Bunch of different programs, uh, creating an aud audience off your current clients and really generating more business off of that, or just I think the creation of basically the the group of clients off of that that are similar is gonna be that's what I liked.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, make no mistake, because uh we are about to take off. I think so. Yes, lift off. Yeah, what was kind of like what was something surprising that you uh found out today?
SPEAKER_01A lot of it was interesting. I mean, we are always looking up different marketing things and just but this was like a deep dive into something that probably was uh definitely necessary. Yeah. I mean, we've been in some ad managers and stuff like that, but it's uh pretty intimidating when you get in there. So knowing where a lot of those things are is gonna really help.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think that we've been on the cusp of kind of doing this by ourselves, but we needed somebody who was a professional to be able to be like, here's those dots and how you connect them. Um and I think that that meeting really solidified those um because a lot of the stuff we use, but we aren't really using it to its full potential. And I think that this meeting was a was a surefire way to do that.
SPEAKER_01You know, the things that we're doing, maybe capturing a thousand views or touches can turn into millions at a lower cost. That's obviously got my ears wide open. Yeah. And just I'm excited. Yeah. My brain's kind of going all over the place thinking about what we were just talking about.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's that's the fun.
SPEAKER_01You know, we already do some of the content stuff and really getting it out there to people or whether it's just a normal ad or getting people to see your content, whatever it is, it's once it's set up, it seems like it can be pretty much working alone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean agencies like for years since since agencies and since advertising existed have kind of done things one way. And uh Chris and Amy's whole approach is utilizing the technology that we now have access to, that everybody really has access to as business owners, um, to really propel your business into the laps and into the hands of your uh potential clients, which was really cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Or even just an event, they do a lot in that space. Yeah. For single nights at a certain venue. So if you're trying to promote anything, I mean, we found out a lot of stuff that's just gonna be great. Um, we'll share some stuff with you as yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Keep your eyes on it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we have a lot to do yet. Yeah. But excited about all the apps that can integrate together too. So it there are a lot of different things that are going on here, a lot of moving parts.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But once those moving parts are connected, then that's when you'll see the time, you'll get back some of that time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, for sure. I mean, I think one of the hardest pieces is that we are, you know, essentially trying to run a secondary, you know, company um through know your limits by you know creating this marketing vehicle for Hinkle to be able to use. Um, but we are also insurance agents, so we have to do our jobs. Um obviously, that's the most important thing. Um, but this should be a way for us to to kind of be able to do both efficiently. Because one of the hardest things for me to do is, you know, make the make the content, edit the content, put the content out there, schedule the content, make sure that we repost afterwards. It's a lot of work. Um this should allow us to be able to continue to do that without having to, you know, spend mass hours doing it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, more efficient. It might take a while to set up, but who cares?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, seems very worth it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's awesome.
SPEAKER_01So I'm excited about everything that we learned today. Yeah. And thank you, Chris, for taking that time. Um, because we know you're busy. Yeah. So that's it's really cool to be able to work with them and learn from them and uh take this to the next step.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Fun fact, I didn't realize that Clipper magazine was a a nationwide thing.
SPEAKER_01I didn't either.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And it was kind of cool because uh everybody that Media Twists Media Twist normally works with is kind of outside of this area. And to have somebody come in from this area and you know have a personal relationship with like the Zuckermans and the people who started that um and who have really mentored uh Chris and Media Twist moving forward was uh was really cool to make that connection. Um so yeah, much much appreciated to that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's awesome to hear some of the stories. And when he pulled up that voice message, that was hilarious. I'm just like, what?
SPEAKER_02He went Sammy Hagar on.
SPEAKER_01This is Sammy Hagar? Yeah. Just leave him a voice message.
SPEAKER_02Voice messages. Also, I would never have guessed that Sammy Hagar was a voice message guy.
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't really know him, so I don't know, but I I feel like it's more of a generational thing. Well, yeah, but maybe he doesn't want to type on his phone. I get that too. So maybe he figured out the voice message thing and he's like, I ain't going back to text. That makes a lot of sense. I'll just say what I want to say. Yes. And it was way better than the text. Yeah, it was for sure. Which actually that would maybe help me. People take things I say out of context all the time. Or like my how I'm trying to say it, I think. You mean they think you're a dick? Exactly. Uh, whether it be uh personal or I don't really text for business much.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01Except for on my way, be there in five, those things. Yeah. Yes, but I think things that I can say, because my I my sarcasm, I can sound like a dick for sure.
SPEAKER_02Well, you're you've there's no context.
SPEAKER_01Not in my mind being one. And maybe that's just an asshole of a person, but yeah, I think you know what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02No, it's the key and peel uh skit.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if that's all that.
SPEAKER_02Oh my goodness. It's they're texting back and forth, and you know, one of them is texting very nonchalant, like, I don't care, we can do that. And then the other one is reading it, I don't care. Well, you mean you don't care? So by the end of it, he like shows up to his house, like ready to fight, and the other guy's like down to hang out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's very funny.
SPEAKER_01That's exactly my everyday.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's just miscommunications.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So I think the voice messages might be the way to go for you from now.
SPEAKER_02Yes. All right. Yeah, I think just like last meeting, a lot of information takes it's gonna take a couple days to kind of really sift through it in my own mind.
SPEAKER_01Um you were taking notes, I was downloading stuff and taking notes on the computer, and just we just gotta sit down and decipher it all.
SPEAKER_02Well, even implementing what we learned from last time has really kind of increased our eyes on page, um, eyes on business kind of thing. And then this meeting was about how to take that increase and convert it into viable clients. Yeah, which is really what we're leaving.
SPEAKER_01Behind the scenes sort of thing. Yeah. Well, half of this one was. It's about putting content out, but there's a lot of things that you have to do behind the scenes to make sure it's working right.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Because a lot of people just they'll make content. That's also the first thing. A lot of people don't even do that. But once you do, then you put it out there in the wrong way, most likely. And it's nobody's fault. I've been doing it forever. Um, really getting a value for the time you're putting in.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think is what I'm excited for.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, super excited for that. Cool. Well, thanks again, Media Twist. Thanks, Amy and Chris. We really appreciate it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we do.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Moving on to sports. Sports.
SPEAKER_01All right. Specifically the World Cup. All right, let's kick it.
SPEAKER_02Yes. So we are in what, week two?
SPEAKER_01Week three of the World Cup, maybe? Uh, I think it's week two, but it's still first round, first games. Yeah. Um, how about the United States game, dude? Oh, it was fantastic. Most goals they ever scored in a World Cup game. Did you watch it? No.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01On my phone, I was checking the score the last time.
SPEAKER_02It was a little bit more than a lot of people.
SPEAKER_01Well, I watched like the so I was out in Pittsburgh with family. I was saying the whole week, I want to sit on the couch and eat pizza at 9 p.m. on Friday. What do you think I was doing at 9 p.m.? Not that.
SPEAKER_02What were you doing?
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't know what we were doing.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_01But some family planning came up, and then yeah, then I put my son down at like 9 45, and you know, it just life happens. 15 minutes later. So I was checking my phone the whole time and texting you. But yeah, they played great.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was it was one of the better best games I've I've ever seen them play. Yeah. Well, yeah, I mean, and and it didn't even really do it justice uh through the phone because they completely dominated the possession. Um, they really just now, you know, no offense to Paraguay or the Paraguayans, uh, if you will. Um, you know, they're not tier one uh but they've they have great players though. Yeah, and neither is the U.S. U.S. is I wouldn't say U.S. is a 1A World Cup team for sure.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Um but watching that game was awesome. Elena was laughing because I was jumping up and down um at 9 30 at night, uh, you know, watching them score their first and second goals. And uh just it was electric. It reminded me a lot of when we went to Orlando.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Orlando is great. Sorry. The World Cup is amazing. The phone was ringing over there. I had to get it and shut up. Um just doesn't understand yet.
SPEAKER_02No, no. Well, she got a she was surprised because we were sitting at uh ABG last night and Saudi Arabia? And Saudi Arabia scored on Uruguay and I almost did fall off my chair. She is shouting, KSA, KSA.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, here we go.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, the Saudis almost got me. Um, but that was a really cool game to watch too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the the World Cup's been great. We were texting yesterday. I thought Spain was gonna crush that the team that they played.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Cabo Verde?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yeah. And good for for them. They uh were they up on nothing? No, but they tied though.
SPEAKER_020-0 for that game. No game. Unbelievable that uh France their goalie really showed out in that game.
SPEAKER_01Or not France. Spain couldn't score. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but it's any given Sunday. You know, any game can go any way.
SPEAKER_01Heck yeah. Yeah. It's just such a physically demanding game. That's why a lot of the better teams end up, you know, at least towards the end, getting one or two. But hey, good for them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and especially on like the World Cup stage, like Sweden won their game last night five to one. Killed it, did great. But watching the Saudi Arabia when they went up one-nothing and then they finished with a tie, that was also just as cool to watch because of like the difference of skill, you know, and prestige in those two, you know, international clubs. Um, electric atmosphere all the way around.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, it's it's great. Yeah, it's a great event. Um, I think the opening, just to give everybody perspective, the Super Bowl I think had 170 million viewers. That might even be high. 117 maybe. And the first round or the opening game of the World Cup had 1.6 billion. Oh wow. I didn't even hear that. That's what would that be almost 10 times?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Not to mention it's yeah, ten times. Not to mention it's not like it's the it's just two countries. It's not like the entirety of the you know, it's not everybody's country was playing that day.
SPEAKER_01It was just two countries. That's just how big soccer is in general. And everybody watched the opening game. And I'm sure the ratings on all these games are huge.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01It is the world's biggest sport for sure.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah. Not a lot of countries have ice rings.
SPEAKER_01You also don't know need anything but a ball.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. That's your real, you know, you don't even need a field.
SPEAKER_01Like, even football, like as you get up, you gotta have pads, you gotta you know, have a school that you go to that actually participates in football, provides pads and stuff like that. Soccer, you just need a ball and legs.
SPEAKER_02Yep. I don't even know if you need legs.
SPEAKER_01I I'm sure there's a version.
SPEAKER_02Stick ball.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure there's a version. Nothing against no legs.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I'm sure that the Paralympics has a a version of soccer.
SPEAKER_01100%. Yeah. What's that? Isn't I mean I would consider Murderball sort of like a What's Murder Ball? Isn't it basically there you're on a wheelchair and Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02I thought that was basketball though.
SPEAKER_01I think it's more like a well, we should probably look up before we give takes on it, but I thought it was more like a like a polo, so like a water polo sort of thing, like with your hands and throwing the ball.
SPEAKER_02Check us out next week for a deep dive into murderball. Um, did you notice it? Do you have any dark horse contenders?
SPEAKER_01Have you seen anybody well, Cabo or whatever they are? Yeah, tie in Spain, that's big. I mean, tie in Spain's good. The U.S. also tied Portugal, right? That year that we saw him in Orlando.
SPEAKER_02Yes, that was the game we watched.
SPEAKER_01That was probably the sec uh the second best game I ever saw the U.S. play. But I don't know. There's so many teams. I'm just trying to gather, like I'm probably researching this more than most people are. There's so many teams out there.
SPEAKER_02Well, that we're two weeks in and we're not even through the first round of games. So there's still what, 12 more games. Well, there's 48 teams this year. And I think there's 12 more teams that haven't played yet.
SPEAKER_01And I think I remember in like middle school, you'd you'd see the World Cup bracket come out and it was like a small bracket. Mm-hmm. Now it's yeah enormous if you look at the whole thing.
SPEAKER_02Well, it makes sense. You get more eyes on it, you get more ad revenue, more games, more commercials, more money. It's the way the world operates now. FIFA's gotta get their VIG. For sure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So today we have France versus Senegal at 3 p.m. They're using military time, so if it's wrong, what I say.
SPEAKER_02Nope, you're good.
SPEAKER_01Um you got Iraq versus Norway at 6 p.m.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that'll be uh Erling Holland's uh debut World Cup.
SPEAKER_01Ooh, Argentina, Algeria at nine.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, and you get to see Messi. So Messi and Holland are playing today.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02And France, I believe France won the last World Cup.
SPEAKER_01I don't think so. Did they?
SPEAKER_02They either won the last one or two ago. I'm almost positive.
SPEAKER_01I think they did. Maybe they did. Didn't Argentina win?
SPEAKER_02That is correct. Argentina did win the last one. France won the one before that. Gotcha. Yeah. So you've got the the last winner and two previous winners playing today.
SPEAKER_01Um and I think Norway is supposed to be pretty good too.
SPEAKER_02Norway is, yeah. Norway is supposed to be very I mean, you get a you get yourself a eight foot tall Viking on your team, you're gonna do well.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. So No, that's gonna be great. So good day coming up. Um France versus Senegal. Who you picking?
SPEAKER_02I mean, you gotta go with the favorites on this uh on this trio of games.
SPEAKER_01Oh, this is in New Jersey. Oh, nice. New York, New Jersey. Perfect. So it's probably MetLife Stadium.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, we'll see. This will be the first time that there's a game. Is this the first time that there's a game in MetLife?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Because uh they had a whole controversy about has there ever even been a World Cup on the I just mean like has somebody played at MetLife for this tournament before? No, oh yeah, probably. I think all the groups are in different areas. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. That's why you're not gonna see like the US and Philly until knockouts. I think they're in LA. Yes, like on the west side.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So they're all over. Like there's one in the Philly area. Philly and New York might be in the same group. I'm not sure. But there's uh some on the west coast, like southern west coast, northern west coast.
SPEAKER_02Canada?
SPEAKER_01Not sure about Florida.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Miami's.
SPEAKER_01There's some in Canada and there's some in Mexico.
SPEAKER_02Miami's Miami's got some.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So yeah, I think you gotta go favorites on this one. I would go France, Norway, Argentina for my three picks. How about you?
SPEAKER_01I mean, that would yeah, that would be the smart way to go.
SPEAKER_02Betting man would go that way.
SPEAKER_01But as Spain has showed us, as Spain has showed us Senegal might win 5-0. That's true. Two hours and 20 minutes from now, they will they will kick it.
SPEAKER_02All right. Well, we'll be back in three hours and thirty minutes with an update.
SPEAKER_01Yep, and you got um the United States next game next Friday? Or is it this Friday? Oh, it's this Friday against Australia. Yes. Alright.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So that'll be really their first real test. Not that Paraguay is bad, but Australia is ranked much higher. I never really understand because like I feel like the worst team in South America is probably better than the best team in like the Southeast Asia, Philippines, uh, New Zealand region. Just because the quality of competition. Um, but I could be totally wrong on that one. So we'll do an update on that next week too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, for sure. I mean, a lot of these people play in you know the Premier Leagues across the the world and either Europe or Spain. Yeah. So I heard yesterday nobody on Spain's team for the first time plays for Real Madrid.
SPEAKER_02Wow. Hmm.
SPEAKER_01Isn't that crazy?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It must mean that the Premier League has more money at the moment.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Or they go to Germany, they go to uh Bundesliga, that kind of thing.
SPEAKER_01But that's always kind of good leagues around.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, and then the oil companies will come in and buy Real Madrid and they'll be able to throw some money back into it. That's it's all ebbs and flows. Yeah. Um two cool stories that I heard uh surrounding um a World Cup so far. Uh the Japanese fans after the Japan game actually stayed behind and helped cleaned up clean up trash, which they have actually been known to do at international sporting events, and that was pretty cool. The team? No, the fans.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so all the fans stayed in the stadium and cleaned up the stadium at the end of the game. Um, and then there was a clip that uh James Winston, either ex-NFL or current NFL quarterback, stayed behind and cleaned up with them. So that was pretty cool to see.
SPEAKER_01He's everywhere.
SPEAKER_02Oh my goodness, he's uh he's a personality.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he's a good guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, and then you have tomorrow, group J. Oh, wait, J K L L K. There's five games tomorrow. Ooh. You got a noon game, Austria and Jordan. You have a 1 p.m. game, Portugal, and is that DR Congo? Yep, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Okay. And then old England plays tomorrow afternoon, 4 p.m. That'll be a tough one for them. England Croatia. England Croatia. That's gonna be a good game. Yeah. Croatia's always good too. Who was that one guy in FIFA we always used to play with on Croatia? It's so good.
SPEAKER_02The tiny guy.
SPEAKER_01We just shoot. No, it wasn't Juan.
SPEAKER_02Oh no, no, no, no, no. You're thinking of Diego Forlan, and he played for Uruguay.
SPEAKER_01I Uruguay had another person you could shoot from anywhere with. Oh, okay. There was a guy from Croatia. Yeah, Croatia was sneaky good in FIFA. Um, at least their their middies were.
SPEAKER_02Shout out 2010 FIFA World Cup, South Africa. Great game.
SPEAKER_01Ghana versus Panama.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And then Uzbekistan versus Colombia.
SPEAKER_02That's the first time anybody's called it Panama.
SPEAKER_01Panama?
SPEAKER_02And who? Uzbekistan and Colombia? I don't know who I pick on that one either.
SPEAKER_01Well, look how many teams there are, dude. These are all South Africa first first round games. Switzerland, Bosnia, Mexico, South Korea, Canada, Qatar. Yeah, this might be the start of the But I kind of like that.
SPEAKER_02Like the whole world should be involved in the World Cup. Or at least, like a good amount.
SPEAKER_01I have no problem with there being more teams. Yeah. I'm not organizing the schedule.
SPEAKER_02No. I'm just watching and sharing. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01So the longer it's on, the more I get the benefit. That's true. True that.
SPEAKER_02True that.
SPEAKER_01And who wouldn't want to see more of these countries? Like you saw uh Spain have a tie yesterday. It's gonna mean the world to those guys who had that tie forever, I would imagine. Yeah, I mean, they'll probably They were not expected to keep that game close.
SPEAKER_02No, they're gonna come back and be the mayor of their respective towns.
SPEAKER_01The chance of a tie at the beginning of the game was two percent.
SPEAKER_02Wow. With what? Then was their winning as well?
SPEAKER_01Them winning was two was like two point five, and the tie was two. Dang. So there was basically on paper no chance Spain wasn't gonna win. At least one nothing. Um and they didn't score a single goal.
SPEAKER_02That's nuts.
SPEAKER_01So props to them. Yeah. It's all about defense. Yeah. I mean, you can have a really solid defense, keep the game close, and then if you get, you know, throw the ball up there, somebody's feeling like they want to score, it might happen. It only takes one time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02One misstep, one over uh one overreach.
SPEAKER_01Defense is huge. Yep. I mean, we've won a couple soccer tournaments when we never even against teams who played soccer, yeah, clearly, and it was highly due to your defense just being bigger. I'm just a larger stopping everything. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That helps.
SPEAKER_01And then you'd pass it up to me, and then I'd give it to somebody that could run. And then we'd just do it again, and somehow we always had to do that. Let people do the jobs that they're good at. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, shout out Nikki Barron.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And we had some random people play with us too. Remember we won that uh Columbus Day? Where was that random tournament?
SPEAKER_02It was over by Oh, yes, right in Millersville.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was a 3v3. Yeah, where how do we get involved in that?
SPEAKER_02Uh I want to say that the third person on our team. Who was the third person on our team?
SPEAKER_01Was it it was somebody we did not know before that day.
SPEAKER_02Oh, really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02We just got partnered. Yeah. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01We got asked to play like the day before or something.
SPEAKER_02Gotcha. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think that was 5v5. That was 5v5, I think. Yeah, definitely. Because you and I played defense and we just passed with the small goals. These three kids that were just unbelievable. So it worked out. Yes. It just goes to show you. If we can win, you can too. Yeah, you can too.
SPEAKER_02If I can win, anybody can win. Trust me.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So yeah, I'm excited to watch.
SPEAKER_02Fantastic. All right. That pretty much wraps it up, right?
SPEAKER_01Wraps it up for this week. We will see you next week. Sounds good. Anything coming up this weekend?
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, I'm going to Annapolis. It's my brother's last week, uh, last week in Annapolis until he moves. So we're going down. Um, we'll go to the chop house, probably a really good seafood spot on the bay.
SPEAKER_01Perfect.
SPEAKER_02Might check out the Naval Academy. Perfect. It'll be fun. How about you?
SPEAKER_01Get some muscles.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01All right.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01How about me? Um, not sure what's coming up this weekend. Uh I don't think we have many plans. Probably just some yard work.
SPEAKER_02Sometimes that's nice.
SPEAKER_01But usually when I say we don't have plans, I'll look at my schedule and I have to go to a wedding or something.
SPEAKER_02There you go. What can you do?
