Kelly Botelho

Kelly was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. Her passion for journalism began when she was attending St.Thomas More High School.

After high school, Kelly ventured off to London, Ontario where she took the Media Theory and Production – Broadcast Journalism program between Western University and Fanshawe College. While London was great, Hamilton was home… but not for long.

A few months after graduating university, Kelly was offered her first TV reporting job in Thunder Bay. Always looking for a new adventure, and a good challenge, Kelly had two weeks to pack up her belongings and start her career in a faraway city in Northwestern Ontario. After one year, and countless stories under her belt, Kelly was offered a VJ position at CHCH News.

This Portuguese-Canadian can be found spending time with her seven nieces, hiking Hamilton’s beautiful trails, and finding the best restaurants in town. Catch Kelly Botelho on the Evening News at 6 and 11.
